Obito's whole body felt so sore. His muscles screamed in pains. He just got back from his team daily meeting. Ever since Minato-sensei knew about him being his little sister's soulmate. The man had personally gone to fetch Obito every morning two hours earlier before the team meeting's schedule. He had made sure to give Obito tone of hellish exercises. Called it "Special Training". Even though Obito could actually felt his reflexes and stamina level raise a little bit. But come on!

It's been two weeks since his first encounter with Naruto. She had been promoted to Jounin and usually given missions outside of the village. Obito had updated her status quite often. He didn't stalk her, mind him, he just daily checked on his soulmate's status to make sure she was ok.

And when Naruto was in the village, the boy would tried to get close to her. But every times he nearly approached her, Minato-sensei would appear behind him and then they get to more training!

He was just trying to get to know his soulmate. He pouted, clearly displeased with the whole situation. He was pretty sure no one for two weeks still hasn't talked to their soulmates for more than 5 sentences after their first meeting. Just a while ago, he had to stay behind after the team meeting to complete his sensei training. His life was so suffering.

WHOOSH!

A shuriken flew past his head and hit the wall behind him, miss his hair only a little bit.

"Even though you received special training from sensei, you're reflexes still need some works." He saw Kakashi sat idly at his apartment's window.

"Go away, I'm too exhausted to deal with you today." Obito is physically and mentally stressed right now. He needed to take a rest.

"I have some information about your soulmate."

"WHAT!" Obito immediately bolted to where Kakashi was. The tiredness from a minute ago just seemed to have disappeared.

Kakashi stared blankly, totally unimpressed by Obito's sudden change of attitude.

"Why did you get so excited? And why try so hard?Naruto is your soulmate, she is bound to be with you anyway. What's the point to fret over that?"

Although Obito felt kinda elated by his teammate's statement, well he still gets ecstatic every times the thinks about him and Naruto being soulmate, but that just didn't sit right with Obito.

"While it's true that our souls are being bonded. But she also has her own thoughts, opinions and feelings. Although I really hope to get closer to her, I can't just force her to be with me saying it's fate! I want to get to know her being her just like I hope she will get to know me being me! How can it be called soulmates anymore if the relationships were forcefully shaped like that? There's suppose to have emotions between two soulmates!" He tried to make a point with his friend heatedly. Because it's what he believes.

Kakashi stared at him with an unreadable expression.

"Wasn't your clan not in favor of soulmates? Will you break things off with her if your clan head does not approve of your relationship?"

Obito's kinda annoyed now. What's gotten with the cyclops to be suddenly so nosy about his affair?

"I do not need their approval. They don't consider me a part of Uchiha clan to begin with anyway. I may as well change my name into Namikaze Obito when the time comes. Well, It does have a nice ring to it." He shrugged

All of a sudden, Kakashi bursted into laughter.

That's rude. Even though he knew Kakashi never took him seriously, he did try his best to handle the current situation. It's kinda hurt his feelings.

"What's so funny you insufferable bastard!"

"Nothing" Kakashi calmed down, his expression softened and became strangely sincere." It was just that I was worried over nothing. You are really a nice guy and your attitude is just as courageous as I imagined."

Huh?

POOF!

White smoke surrounded Kakashi and then he saw long blond hair fluttered in the gentle wind.

A familiar pair of bright azure eyes look straight at him. He stood dumbfounded as Naruto, his soulmate, the ones he had tried to get close to for weeks, sat opposite of him, gave him the same gentle smile.

"Sorry, after I got my promotion I have to complete the average amount of missions for the second evaluation during the probation times since I skipped 2 levels. Now everything has done, I come to meet you right away."

Obito is still trying to process the whole situation. He couldn't uttered a single word. Damnit, brain! She is right in front of you. Say something!

"Are you perhaps…mad at me for ignoring you?" She looked at him with her bright cute eyes, pouted a little bit.

You didn't ignore me at all!! But If she keeps giving me this kind of puppy look, I'm sure in the future I will do anything she ask me to.

"It seems you don't want to do anything with me any longer.. Sorry, I'll leave then." Naruto sounded so heartbroken, he felt like he had kicked a bucket of puppies

WHAT! No. I had lost in my thoughts far too long. Kakashi has warned me many times before about this. If she go now, I won't have another chance again!

Naruto has already stood up, ready to leapt to the next building. Before she could step any further, he quickly grab her by the hand where the soulmarks was imprinted.

In his defense, Obito was really panic, he did it without much thinking. He just didn't want his soulmate to leave with a big misunderstanding like that.

Lost her balance, Naruto fell backwards, crashed right into Obito. Now, Naruto has perfectly fitted in his arms. He was hugging her!

Obito could feel his whole body burning. His heart rates accelerated cumulatively, like it would jumped out of his chest at any moment.

Oh my god, what do I do now. I didn't mean this to happen. Do I smell? I just got back from training! But… She was so petite, so delicate. I will have to make sure she doesn't skip her meals! And… her scent… it was just so soft and tender. He wished this moment could last forever.

What! No, I sounded just like a pervert! But.. she is his soulmate.. so his thoughts would be natural right?

Obito felt more and more strongly attracted to Naruto.

"Uhm…" Obito quickly snapped back to reality, he was still holding her! "Thank you for catching me. But can you let go of me and then we can talk? This position is kinda.. inconvenient."

Obito quickly released his embrace, hands flapping frantically.

"I-I-I-I'm sorry. I-I-I didn't mean for it to happen" Great now he stuttered in front of his soulmate, why did he always make such stupid mistakes with his soulmate! "It's not that I don't like it. NO! I-I-I mean, it's not that I planed to trick you into huggings but I don't not like hugging you! I-I-I …."

Eyeing owlishly, Naruto then burst into giggles. Man, every times she laughs it sounds so beautiful.

Okay, Obito seem to get more sappy ever since he found his soulmate. But it was just because he likes his soulmate. Well, maybe a little too much actually. Is it okay to like someone this much in such short period and they haven't even talked to each other properly? Well they are soulmates after all, It must be perfectly normal for him to get so attracted to his soulmate this much. Probably a good thing too. They are fated to be together, aren't they.

I should really need to control my excitement or I will make Naruto uncomfortable again.

"Okay, I get it." Naruto grinned as she whispered only enough for him to hear. "Now, do you want to go somewhere? We can also stay here and chat if you want."

Gulping. Obito hesitated a little bit. What if he screwed up everything again? He has made many mistakes so far, Naruto has been kind enough to forgive him. But he can't just keep going like that. How can he become a reliable person for Naruto if he keeps doing stupid things?

Like she has read his thoughts. Naruto grabbed his hand confidently, grinning widely.

"Come on! Let's have some Ichiraku ramen first and then go to your favorite Dango place, ok."

Obito smiled softly. He really is the luckiest guy to have Naruto as his soulmate. She is just so bright and innocent. The burden inside Obito's chest seem to have been lifted off significantly. They are soulmates! Soulmates are someone to accept you unconditionally. He unconsciously remembered someone's saying.

"Okay let's go." He told her with a truly cheery voice. How long has it been since Obito last smiled so innocently like this? He couldn't quite remember. But, let's not think about it any further now. He wants to enjoy with heart and soul each and every moments with Naruto.

He let Naruto dragged him by the left hand, where their soulmarks imprinted, where their soul connected, to her favorite place.

Finally, Obito has someone to be able to accept him fully, to be surely stay by his side no matter what happens.

The future still hold many uncertainties. But he has his soulmate now. He feels like he can do anything.
