Fratellanza
"I have nothing to tell you Reborn, as I said to Kyoya what I was doing in Tokyo is none of your business." Reborn just stared at me with big black eyes, even if now he was physically seven, there finally was a separation between the iris and the white of the eye.
"I highly doubt it as he is the very reason you couldn't leave Namimori as you wished." I frowned.
"Then call Iemitsu, he'll tell you I was on a mission. Talking about him, I'm supposed to go back to Italy, I have something very important planned once I'm back in Sicily."
"It will wait because this is serious Luciana." Reborn left the house, leaving Kyoya and I. It was getting dark outside.
"What did you do?" I jumped on my feet.
"For the last fucking time, it's none of your business!" He jumped on his feet as well, grabbing me by the front of my sweater.
"You went willingly to see my mother's murderer, so it is my business!" he sneered back, losing some of his composure.
I slapped his hand away.
"Who I do business with is none of your concerns, no matter what your relationship is with them. I didn't immediately realize you would be involved, and I'm sorry you were, but it doesn't change anything. Now I'm going to leave!"
"Of course, leaving is the only thing you know how to do," he hissed before walking past me, bumping his shoulder in mine.
He shut the door behind him and I looked at the ceiling. I had the feeling that if I were to leave now, it would be a humongous mistake I would not be able to fix later on. There was tension between us because of our past history together and me in Tokyo was just adding to the fire.
I picked up my phone when it rang.
"Alaric will drive you to the airport tomorrow morning," Reborn told me curtly. I smirked.
"Is Iemitsu angry that you're keeping one of his subordinate against her will?"
"Shut up Luciana, I will get to the bottom of this." He hang up on me.
Someone was not happy he was not in on what was happening.
I looked at the door behind me. Kyoya was probably sitting on the engawa. What he said...he was resenting me for leaving. Why wouldn't he after all? I shot my bag a look.
I could grab it and go to Alaric's or try to be an adult and stay because it was obvious Kyoya was...not okay. I probably wasn't the best person for it but I also was the one responsible so…
Ultimately, I gathered as much courage I could and joined him. He was sitting on the engawa, as I had thought, so I quietly sat down next to him.
There was no leaf in the trees, it was cold and I was shivering a little, but Kyoya's backyard was as peaceful as ever.
"You're still here."
"Well, I thought if I left now...it would be the point of no return." He scoffed bitterly. He had a knee up to his chest, his arm on it while his other leg was dangling from the engawa. "Look, I..."
"If you're going to say you're sorry or that it is none of my business then don't waste your time, I understood that part."
"Kyo..."
"Luciana," he said at the same time as me, cutting me off. "Whatever it is, it doesn't make sense that Sawada Iemitsu would send you on a mission regarding my father." I pursed my lips, staring at the pound outside. He was not wrong there. "What did you do?"
"Nothing I can't handle," I replied in a whisper. It made him turn his head toward me. "I know what I am doing Kyoya." I looked at him for a second and took a deep breath when I recognized the look in his eyes.
Yet, I found myself unable to look away from his eyes. I started to close mine when we leaned toward each other and I welcomed his lips on mine with joy.
It was strange yet so familiar. He put his hands on my waist to bring me closer to him while I buried a hand in his hair, clenching his shirt with the other. The kiss, sweet at first, turned into a hungry, needy kiss where my tongue battled his with passion. I pressed my body against his and he pulled me on his lap. It made me pull away.
"Wait no...it's not…"
"Are you seeing someone?" he asked me huskily, kissing me in the neck and I shivered, but for another reason.
"No but..."
"Then why not?" I bit back a moan when he sucked on a particular spot of my neck. Kyoya had been my last sexual relationship, it had been a while since…
"Kyoyaaa~..." I moaned the end of his name when I felt his teeth on my flesh.
That man knew exactly what to do to me to make me lose my mind.
"Just stay the night Ann'." I slipped my arms around his neck and buried my face in his hair. He took the hint and got up, carrying me in his room.
I didn't like when he called me like this when we were busy pleasuring each other, it was too weird considering Xanxus was the one to call me like this first. Kyoya didn't call me like this often and I treasured the moments where he would call me that knowing it was...just very intimate to me, and he knew that.
A familiar heat appeared in my stomach when he dropped me on his bed, removing his shirt and throwing it away. I put my hands on the back of his neck and brought his lips back on mine. He was now the one straddling my hips while I was sitting on his bed. I ran my hands down his chest, my lips and tongue moving in need of more against his. I didn't waste time to unbuckle his belt and lowered his pants and underwear.
He broke the kiss and removed my sweater, shirt and bra before pushing me back, my hands above my head. I blinked and looked up immediately when I felt something cool around my wrist.
"Seriously?" I muttered, staring at the Cloud Flames of the handcuffs.
His only reply was to kiss my breasts and fondle them. I arched my back, wanting to touch him but I couldn't. I bit my lower lip when his lips left a trail of kisses down my stomach until my pants. He almost torn them off me, like my panties and socks before forcing my legs opened.
I bit my tongue, throwing my head back when his tongue found my clit. Kyoya had quickly learned how to use his tongue and it seemed he didn't forget. He kept my hips from moving while he was sucking and licking my womanhood.
It was torture. My body desperately wanted to move because of the pleasure and it couldn't and…
The moan I was keeping left me when two fingers were curled up inside of me. I tried to bury my hands in his hair, as I would usually do because I kept pulling his hair when he was going down on me, but the handcuffs reminded me I couldn't.
"Kyoya..." I half whined in annoyance, half moaned. He seemed satisfied with my state, completely blinded by lust because I wanted him to fuck me, and I had the urge to rip his smug smirk of his stupid handsome face when pulled himself up.
I unconsciously licked my lips when he wiped his.
"Condoms," I said, giving him a weak kick behind his thigh.
"You don't have your coil anymore?"
"I do but...STDs..."
"I don't have anything."
"Me neither but..." I mean, I only had sex with Kyoya in my life but who knew who he did it with these past two ye…
I moaned loudly when he thrust into me without any warning. His pounding was rough and didn't let me breath because I was moaning a lot. I closed my legs around his waist to try to meet his rhythm and he lifted my butt a little. I thought I would be able to do something but he just found an angle he, and I as well, liked more.
"Kyoya!" I moaned once more, the handcuffs gritting against the headboard of his bed.
He was restless but I knew I wouldn't last for a lot longer. I felt a tear run down my cheek because of the pleasure inside of me and I arched my back once more when I came. He followed soon after, cumming on my chest and stomach, before laying down next to me.
We were both panting.
I pulled on my restrains.
"Could you…?"
"Not yet."
"I'm flexible but we will have a limited selection of positions if I'm tied to your bed." He smirked in lust.
I didn't sleep a lot that night.
In the early morning, I slipped out of bed and put my clothes back on as I could, Kyoya still sleeping. I opened the door quietly and froze.
Slowly, I looked above my shoulder. Kyoya had not moved, but he was staring at me.
"I have a life to get back to," I whispered in the silent bedroom, "and so do you. I'll see you at the Inheritance Ceremony...probably."
I grabbed my bag on the way and left his place. Alaric was already outside, leaning against the hood of his car. I tried to smile at him but he didn't seem happy. He shut the car door behind me and was silent for the first couple of minutes.
"It's nice to see you Alaric, Iemitsu told me you were worried after the fiasco of Mafia Un..."
"Do you think before making deals Miss?" he cut me off coldly. I sighed and looked outside.
"I do. I won't be able to run forever, might as well make him useful."
"You're lucky Hide didn't ask you to kill anyone as a 'favor'." I pursed my lips.
He wasn't wrong there.
"Ri..."
"I'll follow you whatever you decide to do Miss," he interrupted me once more, "but it doesn't mean I will let you do things I do not agree with without trying to stop you first."
"I know, and I appreciate it," I told him. He shot me a look from the corner of his eyes and sighed.
"There's a scarf on the backseat, use it to cover your neck." I raised a brow and looked at myself in the mirror of the passenger seat.
I had hickeys.
I wrapped the white scarf tightly around my neck.
"You've met Cris I heard."
"Yeah. He...he was..."
"Split personality, kind of like Belphegor," he informed me. "What Guillermo did to him messed up a few things in his head and when he's...in front of a challenging opponent, he loses it and gets too excited."
"Huh..."
"But he's not a bad person. He has been worried about you for a long time and really wanted to see you."
"I know. Be it with me or with Arro, he was grinning like an idiot and radiating joy." Alaric smiled faintly. "And Katryna is at home."
"Yes, I received a call from Don Cavallone." We stopped at the small airport near Namimori. "It seems like somehow, we are all gathering around you."
"Five out of six. Arro can't keep the Rain Ring forever."
"Cut off his finger if it comes to it."
"It won't!" I doubted for a second. "Right?"
I clasped my hands together, my new uniform already feeling like a second skin to me.
"Now I'm freaking out."
"Don't worry Captain, we didn't die under your leadership it should be fine!" Diego screamed.
Diego was my hot-blooded subordinate in the VARIA. Ahmed and Milo as well, and they were both here.
"Xanxus accepted to transfer them?" I asked Iemitsu.
"It was surprisingly easy. I explained the reason and then he was sending them here, saying they were your men anyway so deal with it." I raised a brow. "Maybe he was overlooking your development as a Sky when you were under his roof."
"Stop saying that or I'll think he has a heart."
With them was Katryna, obviously intimidated. Min Jae, the genius who helped me breaking Mukuro out of prison was there as well, now a young adult and no longer a kid. I was aware Romain had been sent a uniform as well but let's be honest, I was half expecting to receive a video of him burning it to ashes as a sign of protest.
Although, Alaric would be wearing the same uniform in a few months. I needed to go recruit one particular person though, or at least try.
"Sorry we're late!" I widened my eyes and I was smacked behind the head. I rubbed the spot, watching the two men joining Katryna, both with stupid grin on their faces.
Cristobal and Arro.
What…
"They'll explain to you," Iemitsu whispered to me. "Alright everyone, you all know why you are here today. These past few years, as you have witnessed yourself, the world has started to shift and...new, dangerous weapons started to appear." Iemitsu raised his hand, his Sky ring burning bright. "Everybody is aware of Flames, and the fiasco that was the Mafia University island created new tensions. There is no other way to put it. Actually, most of you here have played a part in the battle that occurred in last May." Katryna looked at her feet as she was the only one who had no part in it. "As such, as the head of CEDEF, I have decided to create a particular team among our organization for missions or tasks that require top quality skills. L'Attacco del Leone comes from this decision, and today, there you are."
We all wore black stealth suit, so slinky black suit. The torso part was reinforced, as well as the knee area for those who opted for long pants, so all the guys and Katryna. The sleeves were long as well and Diego had already rolled his up to his elbows. Then, we had black finger less gloves and black combat boots. There were two pouches in the back at the belt for anything we might need and enough space to have a few Boxes Weapons on the belt.
My uniform was the same, except I had black slinky shorts, as thick as the torso area, reaching my mid-thighs and then black thigh-high boots. There was maybe five centimeters of skin showing on my thighs. My guns were strapped around them right at these areas.
On the left side of the chest, we all had a lion head, from its side as it was roaring, embroidered in white. We also had black cloaks, kind of like Lal's beige one, to complete the look.
"But I'm a busy man so I won't lead you directly. I will leave this task to Luciana Cavallone, who I am sure you are all familiar with." I stepped forward, next to my Boss. "Luciana who will dye her hair back to black by the way because professionalism is needed and bright pink hair is not necessarily a good idea!" I immediately grabbed my hair with wide eyes.
"You said you were okay with it!"
"I'm not anymore!" He turned around and started to walk away, waving at us above his shoulder. "On this note, I have to leave! It's your turn Luciana."
"I know." I took a deep breath and looked at them.
I was in charge.
It was...weird to think of.
"Okay, so...basically we have the several levels of the basement to train and stuff. However, we don't all have the same background when it comes to fighting so I got two skilled tutors to get you all into shape! We needed to have some basic ground in the team."
"Man, who did you ask to?" Arro asked me with a frown. I grinned at him.
"You can come now!"
Lal and Colonnello came from the shadows and Arro paled, pinching the bridge of his nose as the others had no idea what was going to hit them.
I almost cackled evilly while Lal was traumatizing them, screaming at them to not waste her time.
"Luciana, get down there as well!"
"Heh!?"
"A bonding training session, you can't run from it maggot!" Colonnello told me as he kicked me in the back, sending me between Katryna and Cris.
I landed on my feet.
Well, it backfired quickly.
Arro had chosen to join the CEDEF, moving back in Italy permanently. Cris was ordered by my father to join me as well to...keep an eye on me. He didn't say it explicitly, but Nick and Rose would be around to keep an eye on him as well.
However, it also meant that Cris had left the army and Arro was now mending a broken heart. Zelia had...wanted a break in their relationship, basically taking an imaginary hammer and smashing it in my best friend's heart.
But training was going well. I was pretty sure Lal was secretly happy to have new recruits to torture.
Yes, torture.
"I can't tell them anything." I pursed my lips. "I mean...I understand why but Arro, and then Alaric once he's here, know me pretty well, they'll know I'm hiding something."
"Actually, I wanted to talk about Arro." I raised a brow at Iemitsu. "His father is mentioned, I don't want him to act emotionally."
"Yeah I figured." I wasn't comfortable with hiding such a big thing from him.
I also knew from experience Arro usually let his emotions take over when it was getting personal and it would be a long mission ahead until we erased any trace of Lentini's crimes, including Arro's dad's murder.
"I think we should tell him, but later, when there's not long to wait before striking for good. In the meantime...we've got to make a name for ourselves, right?" He nodded.
"Yes, make a name for yourself so that later on, whatever action you do will have a bigger impact."
"Well, it's easier said than done you know. I've got to leave Dino's shadow and the 'oh she's the Guardian who let the heir die' stigma."
"Until the moment Tsuna and his Guardians move in Italy, you will focus on going on missions to build your reputation and try to recruit people you think are interesting, we will plan the rest once they have started their training." I took my chin between two fingers. "Something on your mind?"
"It's just...I feel like I'm going to play the bad guy at some point. Not that I mind, if it needs to be done I will and it might be useful to disappear for good afterward but...maybe Xanxus past actions will be useful after all."
"Sure, you forgot you two being siblings was not common knowledge though."
"...right..." I stood up. "Anyway, I have stuff to do so bye."
"I am not interested."
I dropped my hand with a deadpan, Lancia not even looking at me anymore.
"Well, that's disappointing," Arro commented next to me. I elbowed him in the ribs. "I mean, we struggled to even find you."
"I am sure you did." I looked at my cup of tea for a second.
"Then, will you be down with being an occasional ally?" He raised his eyes to me. I shrugged. "You're pretty strong and I'm sure now you've got a ring, you're even stronger." The red stone on his ring shone faintly under the artificial light of the bar. It was cloudy and raining outside.
I got up and put some money on the table after finishing my tea in one gulp.
"We won't waste your time any longer. Thank you for your time. Arro." He nodded and we left. I sighed deeply once outside.
"You were really hoping he would join us?"
"Well...I was hoping he would consider it at least but..."
"Aouch!" Arro screamed, dropping his umbrella. I looked up at him and he was rubbing his head with a frown. "What the hell hit me!?" I looked down and picked up the rock and Arro's umbrella. "A rock? Who throws rocks at people in the middle of the street!?" I gave him his umbrella back and turned the rock around.
"There's a note." Someone had taken the time to write a note and tape it the rock enough for it to be protected from the rain. The corners were coming off though but…
"What does it say? I want to punch the one who thought this was a way to communicate in 2010."
"We're closer to 2011," I told him idly. "I think it's a hotel room and the name of the hotel." Arro wrote down the name in his phone. We were in Turin because Lancia was from Northern Italy, and there was no way I would ever call the Northern HQ knowing who was leading it.
"It doesn't seem that far." I followed him.
The hotel was...shady, there was no other word for it. You bet it was a short-time hotel.
I entered it. The receptionist raised her overly painted eyes to us. She looked at Arro, then me.
"You've got a reservation?"
"We're here to see someone." Arro put his arm around me and she gave him a sharp nod.
Once at the first floor I cleared my throat.
"Did she think I was a whore? Did you imply that?" He shrugged.
"You have to go with the flow." We found the room and Arro opened it without knocking. "What the..."
I blinked at the man holding binoculars, watching through his window. The smell of his cigar was thick in the room and I put my scarf over my nose.
"What took you so long brats?"
"Commander Samaras!?" Arro almost yelled at I closed the door behind me once the surprise over.
"Not so loud De Luca." He closed the curtain. "Did I hit your head too hard earlier?"
"I thought you were dead?" I inquired. He scoffed.
"Of course not. I followed a lead when the fights started to decrease and CEDEF arrived."
"And now you're hiding in a shitty hotel room?"
"It's called a stakeout."
"If we were cops."
"What are you watching?" I interrupted them. Helios shifted his attention to me.
"It seems a small portion of scientists fled and decided to continue their shit. I've been looking for a way to get inside the facility." I frowned and walked up to the window. I peeked through the curtain.
It seemed like a regular health center to me.
"And once you have a way?"
"Well, I was thinking about dragging old acquaintances of mine who still were in Italy to help me." Of course Nadja was back in Nigeria and Jie was in China.
"So you threw a rock at me!? How did you even know we would be here!?"
"I have my ways."
"Bu..." Arro stopped himself and started to look around him.
"Arro?" I called him.
"We need to get out of here."
"Why?" He stepped to me, grabbed my wrist and left the room quickly. Helios followed closely. "Ar..."
There was a detonation behind us. Arro wrapped his arms around me and put himself between the sound and me in case we would be touched, but nothing. Smoke filled my nose though.
"You're alright?" I asked Arro, holding my scarf on my nose. He nodded.
"Those assholes," Helios muttered, running down the stairs.
There was a gunshot and we followed him quickly. He was hiding behind a wall and Arro and did the same. The receptionist was shooting at us.
Now, I was carrying my guns in two Boxes Weapons as I was here as a 'civilian'. However, I still had a small handgun with regular bullets, just in case something happened. I took it and shot the light.
It was really dark outside even if it was the afternoon.
I walked in the open and shot her hand before she had the chance to shoot me. She dropped her gun and Helios was quick to take it and aim it at her. Sure, there could be snipers. Actually I heard someone shooting at me but the bullet never made it to me.
Arro sliced it before with his sword.
"We have to get out of here," Helios said, knocking her out. The floor we were on before was clearly in flame and it would be spread to us soon.
I released Hugin who hid us.
"Let's go."
We managed the exit the building quite easily, but it completely blew up behind us. We retreated in an alley and my bird went back in the ring.
"We almost turned into a BBQ," Arro said casually. I knelt next to the unconscious woman but in the blink of an eye, she had a red hole in the forehead. I immediately looked up but I couldn't see anything.
"Fuck," I muttered as the sirens of the fire department could be heard in the distance.
"What do we do of the body?"
"Hide it in the trash, it will be found by tomorrow and the cops will end up in a dead end," Helios said, grabbing the body by the hair. He threw her carelessly in the trash and made sure she would be hidden.
I watched the scene without batting an eyelash.
"Ana?" I blinked and raised my head. I blinked again and turned to Arro.
"I know I haven't talked to my brother in a long while but I'm having hallucinations." He shook his head.
"I see him too." I frowned.
"A look alike?"
"What are you doing here!?" Dino asked me.
"I was trying to recruit someone and ended up in some Estraneo-like shit." Dino shot Helios a quick, sharp look.
"What a coincidence then." I raised my brow. "Follow me." The three of us climbed in his car.
"What are you doing here?" Arro asked my brother with narrowed eyes. "There's no way you were just here." Dino nodded, looking at him.
"You're right, I am here on business. Do you remember when you had to clean that Estraneo facility three years ago?" I nodded. "I had placed the kids in an orphanage the Cavallone Family was personally taking care of. Two weeks ago, four children vanished. We investigated and it led us here." I pursed my lips and looked at the street through the tinted window. "We caught a few snipers around the health center and one of my men told me he was pretty sure you were the target Ana."
"It could have been any black-haired girl with red eyes."
"Of course, silly me," he replied with the same sarcasm. I smiled at that, happy I finally rubbed off on my brother. "Anyway, I was planning on raiding the center, I already have illusionists stationed around it. Do you want to participate?"
"Yes," Helios said for the first time. Dino frowned slightly at him.
"I don't think we've been introduced."
"He was Commander Samaras at university," Arro told my brother, who widened his eyes comically.
"I see, nice to meet you." Helios grumbled something under his breath.
"I think we're in too," Arro said. I nodded but Dino frowned.
"Ana, you should stay back."
"Why?" He sighed at my offended tone.
"Don't get mad at me. As a Boss, one of the thing you have to learn is stay back and trust your men with the mission. If you're down it's..." I cut him off by sighing.
"I know, I know." I looked at Arro and gestured at my brother. "Feel free to follow him on my behalf."
"I was going to anyway." I rolled my eyes. "You're going inside as well man?"
"Yes." Soon enough, I was left alone in the car.
Now, Dino's reasoning was logical, I mean I would be the first one to tell him that if he were to go into danger when he had men and men as his disposal. I knew my health had played a part in his 'advice', but I also knew he was saying that as a big brother witnessing his little sister becoming more and more important.
I mean, Iemitsu was the one to tell the Ninth CEDEF would have an elite squad and then the word spread out that Cavallone's little sister was leading it, hence why now everyone knew I was at CEDEF. I never...told any of my brother I would lead a team, even if Xanxus probably knew already.
To be fair, I basically did not talk to any of them since I went to Japan.
Even Iemitsu said my brain would be more solicited in the next few years. I needed to learn how to sit back during a fight.
Thinking about it...Cris told me he had join the squad with my father's authorization, but that he would be under surveillance, hence me as well, to make sure we would 'go home' later on. He was my Lightning and my brothers would be interested in knowing him, but I seriously needed to have a talk with him about...how we met? Or under which circumstances he had joined. I mean, Iemitsu was fully aware of what was going on, but I didn't want any of my brothers to know about the little deal I had going with my father.
They would be disappointed and Xanxus would...he would be furious at me.
The problem was, I knew, I just knew there would be a meeting between the VARIA and my squad. I mean, I was pretty sure Xanxus would get one just to…
Well, to do what I did with the VARIA: see if they're good enough to keep up, evaluate them.
As long there was no stupid rivalry. There was some silly, stupid sibling rivalry between Xanxus and I, but I didn't want one in work.
I was broken out of my thoughts when a body crashed into my door. It slowly slid on the ground, leaving a trail of blood on the car window. I exited the car from the other side, grabbing the head of one of the assailants to knock it against the corner of the door. He dropped to the ground and I crouched, hiding in illusions.
Now, if they were from the same group that those on the island, they were not my father's men.
They were most likely Lentini's.
"Boja Reppa!" I blinked and covered my face with my arms when a huge steel ball flew in front of me, crashing into several men.
"Lancia?" I mumbled, breaking my illusions. The ball fell near me and Lancia walked up to me.
"I heard commotion and saw you exit the hotel," he explained briefly. "What's going on?" I stared at him for a few seconds.
"Well, long story short, the second coming of the Estraneos, only it's not that specific Family." He tensed when I mentioned the 'Estraneos', knowing if it were not for them, Mukuro wouldn't have turned the way he did and he wouldn't have possessed Lancia to kill all of these people. "My brother's inside with my colleagues but..." I shot the corpses a look. "I can't really stay back. Wanna come with me?"
He followed me without a word.
