Hello again and welcome to Chapter 3! Let's get straight into it. Enjoy!

Chapter 3:

Night time had come again and it had brought a heavy rain storm along with it. Back at his little hide out, Eddie sat out on the porch not caring that he was getting soaked through. He couldn't stop thinking about what he had done to that poor girl. He hated himself for it, but he hated himself even more because he wanted to do it again. Even whilst he was sat here feeling guilty, all he could think about was where and when he would get more, hoping it would taste just as good. His throat was beginning to burn worse than before as his hunger quickly grew just thinking about it. What had Vecna done to him? What had he become? Deep down he knew the answer, but he wasn't going to admit it to himself. He rested his forehead on his knees as he thought about what to do next. After a few moments, he got to his feet having come up with an idea. He needed to go into town, he needed to get fresh food that he knew he liked. Maybe then he would be able to eat it without feeling nauseous or like he was eating dirt. And maybe then, he would stop craving blood.

"First things first..." he spoke to himself as he began to walk, "I need a change of clothes and something to disguise myself with. But where will I find new clothes around here?"

After a few minutes of walking, Eddie unexpectedly found himself heading towards his old trailer park. He didn't know why he had decided to head this way, he had no idea if it was even still there. And if it was there, it could be guarded by the police or even completely cleared out by raiders or even the authorities themselves. Either way, he guessed it was worth a try to at least have a look. He just hoped that he would not sense anyone on the way. He didn't want to get side tracked and he definitely didn't want to hurt anyone again. That being said, he did still want revenge on Dustin and the others. He just had to get creative for that.

Eddie checked his watch once he had arrived at his destination and it showed that it was around ten at night. He was becoming increasingly grateful for his heightened senses as he knew that there were no authorities in the area before he had even gotten there. In fact, the entire trailer park was completely empty of people. He strolled through the park with confidence knowing he wouldn't be seen until finally, his trailer came into view. As he had expected it was completely destroyed, but other than the big split through the middle that had took some other trailers with it, most of it was still there, so he had hope that maybe his possessions would also be there. Carefully, he made his way over debris until he was finally in front of the trailer. It was difficult to get inside considering the opening was literally the size of the place. But once he was inside, he was surprised to see his room was more or less untouched. Except from his things haven fallen over and smashed, and a bit of damp that is. He did have to move some things out of the way of his door though, which he could have done without. Finally standing in his room, he looked around wondering what he should wear. In the end he settled on another pair of jeans similar to what he was already wearing but blue, and a plain, black, thin, short sleeved hoodie. He finished with another denim jacket that he had cut the sleeves off of. He then put the shoes he had been wearing back on with a fresh pair of socks. Standing up he cursed at himself for having such similar clothes. He always thought that if a look worked, why mess with it? Now it had come back to bite him in the arse.

"How am I supposed to be in disguise if I'm wearing practically the same thing as before?" He asked himself with a sigh.

He pulled on some fingerless gloves and after picking up a set of drawers that had fallen over, brushed though his hair with a comb he had gotten from them then pulled the hood from his hoodie up. He stood for awhile thinking about what he could possibly use to disguise his face. He could always use the bandanna he had wore on his head to hide it. Discovering that this was his only choice, he picked up the dirtied bandanna from where he had placed it and tied it around his face so that only his eyes were visible.

"Yep...this will have to do" he thought to himself as he finally stood in front of a broken mirror for the first time since he had gotten back.

It was now he realised how well he could actually see considering how late it was. There was no electricity in the trailer at all because of the damage. In fact, the whole trailer park was in darkness and yet he could see himself and his room clearly. How was he only noticing now that it wasn't as dark as it should be? Thinking back, he had found his way through the woods quite easily as well, and it was completely dark out there. To him, it was like it was dusk. Not quite light, but not quite dark. He suddenly realised that since he had gotten back to this Hawkins, it had never gotten as dark as it used to. He couldn't help but wonder if it was actually Hawkins that was doing this thanks to everything that had happened. Or if it was in fact his own eyesight. Either way he began to inspect himself in the mirror more closely as he could now see how pale he was. He wasn't as pale as a corpse would be, but he wasn't as...well...lively looking as someone alive should be. His eyes had a weird red shimmer to them, his skin seemed flawless, like his body had healed any scar, blemish, or even pores that he probably would have had. When he removed the bandanna from his face, he was surprised to see his canine teeth were a lot sharper than they used to be.

"What the fuck?" he asked himself quietly as he prodded at them with a finger, being careful not to cut his mouth with his sharpened nails. His new fangs were basically the same length his canines had always been, maybe a bit longer, he couldn't tell, but he did know they were definitely sharper. Now there was no doubt in his mind about what he had become, but again he wasn't going to admit it to himself. The denial was helping him cope.

He quickly looked away from the mirror and recovered his face with the bandanna. No sooner had he done this, his ears picked up on the distant approach of a vehicle. He stood and listened for a moment to see if it was definitely heading this way. To his dismay, it was. He quickly grabbed his things before rushing out of his ruined trailer whilst being careful not to trip or hurt himself, not that the latter would matter much. He had just made it back to the treeline, when a cars headlights appeared breaking through what should have been almost complete darkness to him. He was about to leave completely until a mixture of smells entered his nostrils making him turn back around to face the newcomers hungrily. He wasn't ready for what he saw next. He recognised that car, and more importantly, he recognised who was driving it and the passengers. Steve, Nancy, Robin and...

"Dustin!" Eddie thought to himself full of surprise, "What the hell are they all doing here?"

Knowing he no longer had the desire to leave as his curiosity had peaked, he could only hope that his increasing hunger wouldn't get the better of him this time. Completely unaware of the person watching them, the others began to get out of the car.

"What makes you think we're going to have any luck here?" Steve asked as he stepped out of his car and shut the door, "I mean, its a scrap yard if anything now. No one in their right mind would come back"

"We're following every lead Steve" Nancy rolled her eyes as she clicked on a flash light she was carrying.

So It was darker than it looked Eddie realised. At least for them it was anyways.

"Yeah, but you have to admit this is a little creepy" Robin spoke as she clicked on her own flash light, "Do you really think we'll find something here?"

"Not just anything. We could find Eddie!" Dustin added as he marched past them all on his crutches.

Eddie quickly felt alarmed. How did they know he was here? And why would they even be looking for him? They had said what they said and left him behind. Maybe they just wanted to make sure the portal in his trailer was definitely closed so that he couldn't get back? Something wasn't sitting right with him, but he couldn't quite place it. Quietly, he continued to watch them and listen.

"I wouldn't hold your breath Dustin. We don't even know if we're right. We didn't find anything else at the crime scene and we're only here because Nancy thinks we could find something... Besides, how do we even get in there?" Steve continued.

"And you were quick enough to agree to bring us here!" Nancy argued completely ignoring his question.

"Because I was just saving myself from you guys begging me" Steve argued back defensively.

"I could have drove us" Nancy spoke with amusement.

"Yeah...well... I didn't want something bad to happen to you guys" Steve shrugged embarrassed.

"Of course" Robin grinned teasingly, "Your just as concerned as us. Admit it!"

"What ever..." Steve sulked and quickly changed the subject, "Again, how are we getting inside?"

"Well I doubt that Dustin can climb anything with his ankle like that" Nancy answered, "But I for one, will climb in..."

"No, I want to go to!" Dustin argued.

"Look, your foot is busted, you have your talkie right?" Steve reasoned, "You should be the look out. We broke past the barriers to get into here after all. If a patrol goes past and sees, they may come to investigate. You will need to warn us to get out"

"But..."

"I'll stay with you" Robin offered feeling sorry for the boy.

"Thanks..." Dustin accepted quietly completely defeated. He didn't want to argue, he just wanted to find his friend. If he was definitely back that is.

"Ok" Steve smiled sympathetically at him then turned to Nancy, "I'm going in first"

"Seriously?" Nancy asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Yep" Steve finished as he had already started climbing across the broken metal and wood, "I'll search the furthest side, you search this side. That way if anything happens, at least Robin and Dustin will hear and can help you"

"So thoughtful of you" Nancy smiled sarcastically.

"Do you really think he would come back here?" Robin asked Dustin once Nancy and Steve were off doing their searches.

"Depends" Dustin answered thoughtfully, "If he came back through the portal that was here before it closed, then maybe. Or maybe he could have come to collect some things. Then again. He may not have been here at all. And he may not be back...we could have it completely wrong"

"But you sounded so certain before..."

"He...he was dead Robin... the more I think about it, if he's back...that can't be a good thing"

"You could have gotten it wrong" Robin suggested.

"No way did I get it wrong. I watched him die. I couldn't feel a pulse... Steve couldn't feel a pulse. We couldn't have both got it wrong..."

"So what are you saying?" Robin asked concerned.

Dustin gave a heavy sigh before replying reluctantly.

"That if Eddie is back... he should have remained dead. Rather..."

Eddies head began to spin. He completely blocked out the rest of the conversation as he fought back the urge to march out there and confront them. He probably would have if it wasn't for the constant longing to bleed every person he came into contact with dry. He managed to calm himself down slightly as he remembered that his time for revenge was coming, and he was going to enjoy it! His stomach suddenly growled loudly as his hunger grew. Panicked by its suddenness, he quickly looked back to the others. He sighed relieved as he realised he was to far away for them to have heard him. He quietly got up to leave before his instincts got the better of him, only as he did so, a shout from Steve made him stop in his tracks.

"Guys!" Steve was shouting as he quickly made his way out of the destroyed trailer. By some miracle, he made it out without injury considering his rush. Nancy appeared from her side of the trailer and seeing the urgency on Steve's face, also left to stand next to the others.

"What is it?" they all asked curiously.

"I found this!" Steve panted as he finally reached them holding out a dirtied looking white and black cloth.

Dustin took hold of the cloth slowly. He already knew exactly what it was. He just wanted to make sure. He opened it up and sure enough, his suspicions were confirmed. There in his hand, was Eddies dirtied and bloodied hellfire club t shirt.

"It's Eddies shirt" he confirmed as the others stared at it amazed.

"He died in that shirt" Steve added, "I saw it, Dustin saw it and you both saw it! Then add in the ring we found where Sarah was attacked..."

"So that means..." Nancy began.

"That Eddie really has come back" Robin finished amazed.

Eddie had been found out more quickly than he had expected. How could he have been so dumb as to grab everything else but that damn t shirt? Then again, he hadn't expected anyone to show up here either! To top it off, they all knew about the girl he had killed as well. He looked down at his fingers and sure enough, one of his rings was missing. How hadn't he noticed that sooner? Especially when he had taken them off to put on his gloves! His mind was all over the place, so maybe his carelessness could be excused. Thinking about it, he guessed it must have fallen off when he had shoved his way through the bushes to get to his prey.

"Shit!" Eddie cursed a little to loudly as he threw his old clothes to the ground, he soon regretted. Sure enough the gang had turned to look in his direction as he froze on the spot staring at them. Finally he managed to move and reacted just in time to duck out of the way of the flashlight lights. He may have been heard, but at least he hadn't been seen. Slowly, he backed away from the park before turning around completely and running. They may have discovered he was back, but no way was he going to let them catch him just yet. He needed more time to figure out how he was going to make them all pay. And then he needed to figure out how to get to this Eleven. Maybe then, Vecna would finally let him rest in peace. He still wanted Chrissy to live, but that didn't mean he had to. Not like this anyways, not constantly craving someone else's life force. He ran in the direction of town as the shouts of his name began to ring around him as the others gave chase.

"Eddie?" Dustin shouted desperately, "Eddie is that you? Come back! Eddie!"

"Eddie!" The others were shouting, "Eddie?!"

Of course they never got an answer and it wasn't long before they had to give up on the chase. Dustin couldn't keep up and it was to dark with far to many direction options to choose from.

"Are you sure it was even him?" Robin asked as Dustin gave one last shout before visibly deflating, "I mean, it could have been an animal...right?"

"What animal have you heard that curses like that?" Steve asked her exasperated.

"I don't know Steve... a parrot perhaps?" she replied just as exasperated.

"And how many wild parrots have you seen in Hawkins?"

Robin shrugged in response as they all continued to look around.

"It was definitely Eddie" Dustin finished their argument, "I'm sure of it. But why would he run from us?"

"Don't worry buddy" Steve placed a comforting hand on his shoulder, "So am I. And we will find him and ask him what the hell is going on"

"Agreed" Nancy added as she approached them holding a bundle of something.

"Yeah" Robin caved having finally giving up on the other option.

Certain that he had lost them, Eddie had slowed down to a brisk walk rather than a run. The words Dustin had spoken were still spinning around in his mind. Why did they want him dead so badly? No matter, once he had done what he was sent to do, he would oblige them. But not before he made them all suffer in some way. It wasn't long before the distant twinkle of the town lights came into view. He knew he wasn't far before he saw them anyways. He had walked it plenty of times before from his trailer park, but it was his hearing that had picked up on it first. The sound of vehicles and people's chatter as they went about their business had entered his ear drums awhile back. Making sure the bandanna was secure, he pulled his hood tighter around his face as he left the tree line behind and finally entered the busy Hawkins town. He made sure to keep his head down so not to draw any attention to himself. However, walking through the streets was mental torture for him. His mouth would water every time someone would pass by him. He could tell the healthy people from the unhealthy, the drug users to the alcoholics. Ok, so maybe not all of them were desirable to him, but they were few and far between. To distract himself he began to take notice about what was happening around the town. Places were cordoned off. Maintenance workers were all over the place trying to get the town back into perfect working order. Police were patrolling the streets on leg and in cars to make sure people weren't doing anything they shouldn't in these desperate times. Hawkins may not have been a big town, but seeing all this, you'd certainly think it was. Eddie had to pick up the pace, the distraction wasn't working and his hunger was beginning to get the better of him. Maybe this was a bad idea after all. Finally he saw the twenty-four hour store and he headed straight towards it.

The moment he entered the store, he could feel the clerks eyes on him, watching him closely. He couldn't blame the guy, after all, besides his eyes, his entire face and head were covered. So instead of letting himself get worked up about it, Eddie proceeded to grab a few ready made sandwiches and some flaming hot Cheetos, his favourite before all of this had happened, and also grabbed a coke to drink. Once done, he walked up to the counter to pay, luckily he had managed to grab some cash he had stashed in his room at the trailer from his deals. He couldn't have been more grateful to see that it was still there and undamaged. When Eddie approached the counter, the clerk eyed him suspiciously as Eddie placed his items down.

"Is that everything?" the clerk asked not taking his eyes off the male in front of him.

"Y...Yeah" Eddie stuttered as he fought back the urge to rip into this man's throat. The clerk looked like he was in his late twenties, and the scent that he was giving off was like liquorice, nothing like the scent that Sarah had had. Eddie could hear the mans heart beating slightly faster then it should which proved that he was more nervous than what he was willing to show. He probably thought that he was about to be robbed, if only he knew what was really going through Eddies mind right now.

"Do you mind if I ask you to remove your hood and mask please?" the clerk asked as he began to ring up the items.

"Sorry..." Eddie looked at the mans name tag, "David. But I...I can't do that"

"Sir, I'm going to need you to remove them. Store policy is the cameras have to be able to see your face" he finished tallying up the food items and stood waiting for Eddie to do as instructed.

"I have a cold" Eddie quickly thought of a lie. He really couldn't risk being recognised, "I don't want to infect anyone else" he was starting to get agitated now.

"Well just quickly take it off then put it back on again" David suggested.

"I can't do that" Eddie gritted his teeth, "Please just let me pay and leave. You've already rung them up. If I was going to steal, I'd have done it"

"That's why I need to see your face. In case I notice anything missing" the man argued.

"You were watching me close enough..." Eddie argued back.

"Sir, if your not going to cooperate, I'm going to have to ask you to let me search you and then to leave"

"Is that really necessary?" Eddie asked alarmed as the man made his way around the counter towards him, "I really wouldn't do that if I were you!"

"Is that a threat?" David asked harshly, "Arms out. I'll pat you down and then you can get out"

"Screw this!" Eddie cursed as he turned to leave. He had to get out of here, all he wanted to do was drink this man's blood. And him getting closer was not helping.

"Stay right there, or I'll call the police!" the man ordered as he reached over to pick up the phone to prove he wasn't bluffing.

"I'll be gone before they get here" Eddie smirked as he finally reached the door.

"I don't think so!" David spoke triumphantly as he grabbed hold of Eddie's arm.

That was all it took. Eddie lost control of all of his senses as he spun round and in turn, grabbed the terrified David by the throat. He pushed him till his back was against a wall and there was no escaping. Ripping the bandanna off, Eddie grinned.

"Happy now?!"

He bit into the mans throat drawing blood easily. David screamed for help but Eddie shoved his hand over his mouth preventing him from screaming any further as he also pushed his head up for better throat access. David tried to struggle and fight his way free, but Eddie had him pinned tightly using own body. Eddies other hand was squeezing the clerks throat, practically strangling him. The poor man was beginning to get light headed from lack of oxygen alone, which helped him lose any energy he had to fight back. Eddie was right though, this man did taste like liquorice. It wasn't his favourite flavour but it was helping to calm his hunger all the same.

"Please..." David managed to gasp out when Eddies hand slipped a little, "I...have a...family...don't...do this!"

Eddie was to lost in bliss to listen. He wasn't going to let go this time, no way! Well, that's what he thought anyways. He hadn't noticed another man enter the store. Terrified by what he was seeing, but knowing he had to help in someway, the newcomer grabbed a wet floor sign that had been placed near to the counter. Walking slowly, he began to creep up on Eddie. To lost in his meal to hear anything else going on around him, Eddie only discovered the mans presence when the sign connected with the back of his head. It hurt, but not enough to knock him out. Letting his grip on David go, the store clerk slumped to the floor. Spinning round to face the man that had just attacked him, Eddie hissed taking even himself by surprise. The man, now terrified as he stared at this person with sharp teeth and blood dripping down his chin, dropped the sign with fear.

"I...I...I'm going to phone the police!" He threatened as he tried to back up.

However he never got the chance as Eddie jumped on him knocking him to the floor. The man tried to fight back, but Eddie was relentless. It wasn't long before he had managed to sink his teeth into this man's throat as well. The man continued to kick and punch out, but Eddies grip was to strong. The man got lucky however, it took a minute or two for Eddie to realise that this guys blood tasted horrible. It tasted stale somehow, like he had been smoking forty cigarettes a day for years. Having had enough of this horrible flavour, Eddie pulled away and quickly got to his feet. Looking around wildly, he finally came back to his own senses. He watched horrified, as the man he had just attacked grabbed at his own throat to stem the blood flow as he tried to struggle to his feet. Turning to face the clerk who was still slumped against the wall, Eddie could sense that he was thankfully, still alive. Weak, but if he got an ambulance soon, he could still make it.

Quickly, he covered his face back up. Eddie knew that it didn't really make much of a difference now, both of these men had seen it. But it still made him feel slightly better. He stared at what he had done with distress. There was nothing he could do to change what had happened, but he could make sure he wouldn't make it any worse. So slowly, he began to make his way towards the exit. Making sure, that he didn't turn his back on the still conscious guy.

"N...No!" the man tried to shout as he finally stumbled to his feet, "Stay where you are! You need to...pay for what you've done!"

"I'm sorry" Eddie apologised sincerely, "I...I didn't mean to... I was just trying to...to buy food. I don't know why I...Please just help him!"

Eddie pointed to the clerk and when the man turned to see what Eddie was pointing at, to confused at what had just happened to think straight, Eddie took the opportunity to grab the things he had tried to purchase, and run out of the place. He kept running, he ran all the way back to his hideout. Not caring if people stared as he passed by. He ran whilst trying to hold himself together, he didn't want this! Revenge could suck it! He just wanted to be himself again and if that wasn't possible, death was his last option. Anything was better than this constant craving for blood. He didn't want to hurt people, even if they had all turned their backs on him. It wasn't worth the guilt he felt afterwards. It wasn't worth his own sanity!

Another Chapter down and I don't know how many to go haha. That being said, I hope you enjoyed it and please feel free to review and let me know what you think. Until next time!
