In the desert continent of Glorious West, there lies the majestic capital of a vast and powerful empire, known as Golden City. This great city is the home of many powerful sorcerers, fierce warriors, wealthy merchants, talented artisans and more.
Everyone in the city was happy with their lives. But not for a certain blue-haired young sorcerer.
Inside a two-storey house somewhere in the city, Kaito only sat alone on the table with a frowned expression, his cheek rested on his hand. There's a porcelain mini vase with floral patterns placed near the table's corner.
Deep inside his heart, he want to have a girlfriend. But sadly, he didn't have one.
Kaito's eyes then glanced at the list of his girlfriend candidates.
Haku has fell in love with Yuecheng after the latter confessed to her while Tianyi is officially dating with Moke. Mizki and Yuuma has already became a couple, and Kaito could say the same to Longya and Qingxian too. Clara is now married to Bruno, an imperial army captain.
The rest of the girls in the list had rejected him, much to the sorcerer's disappointment.
Kaito then pressed his face against the table.
"Why, why is this happening to me?" Kaito muttered.
Perhaps he could seek some advices from his master.
...
A young shamaness was seen wandering through a busy street in Market District. She wore a long cape with Ancient Egyptian styled pattern, and she carried a long wooden wand with her.
Her name is Meiko and yeah... she's still don't have a boyfriend yet.
As Meiko looked at her surroundings, there's a certain shop that she want to visit in here.
A bakery.
Meiko could smell the sweet scent of freshly baked breads as she almost reached the bakery. Not wasting time anymore, Meiko quickly reached the main entrance.
"Mei-chan!"
After she entered the bakery, Meiko was greeted by two blonde haired twins, Len the male twin and Rin the female twin. Their parents were absent from her sight since they were busy making breads in the kitchen.
"Do you want to buy some breads again, Mei-chan?" Rin asked.
"Sure, I love too!" Meiko smiled. "Can I have two meat-stuffed bread, please?"
"Okay!" the twins nodded.
This bakery is one of her favourite place in the town. Meiko must admit, their family bakes the best of breads inside the city.
...
"Please help me, Jayan-san! You're the only one I can rely to solve my life problem!" Kaito pleaded.
Inside a room located at the uppermost floor of Tower of Thousand Books (Golden City's public library, popularly known as the Library Tower), Kaito was trying to persuade the senior wizard Jayan, who's also the chief librarian if he has a way to help Kaito with his problems.
"I'm sorry, Kaito but I can't help you for that" Jayan said.
"Whaaaaaaat!?" Kaito was shocked in disbelief.
"Ohohohohoho! Kaito, you don't need to ask for my help if you want to have a girlfriend" Jayan chuckled.
"Then?"
"There's only one thing that you need to find your true love" Jayan said.
"What's it?" Kaito asked.
"Your heart" Jayan poked his index finger on his own chest "Follow your heart, and you'll find her"
"Follow my heart?"
"Yes!" Jayan smiled. "That's all!"
Jayan then walked towards one of the shelves.
"You can tell me if you need anything, boy" Jayan said.
Maybe he should stick to Jayan's advice, he thought.
...
"Miku, I'm back!"
Meiko entered the kitchen with a cheerful expression as she just arrived home from the bakery.
"Welcome home, Mei-chan!" a younger girl with twin ponytails smiled at her. She was busy making a wheat porridge for lunch.
Her name is Miku, the adopted younger sister of Meiko and a junior priestess. Both of the girls lived together in Temple District, which is located not far from the Scholar District (the place where Kaito and the other sorcerers lived).
"Sorry that I was a bit late" Meiko placed a paper bag of breads on the place.
"It's fine" Miku said.
Miku filled the bowl with porridge before placed it on the table.
"Here's your porridge"
"Thanks, Miku" Meiko thanked her.
"You're welcome!" Miku said cheerily. "By the way, do you want to go to the Boat Festival tonight?"
"Boat Festival?" Meiko was dumbfounded.
Miku suddenly frowned at her.
"Don't tell me that you forgot about it again" Miku pouted.
"Miku, I'm so sorry, I just...well, I've a lot of things to think" Meiko sighed.
"Whatever" Miku rolled her eyes.
"Fine, I'll treat you some leek rolls, okay?" Meiko offered.
"For real?" Miku quickly became excited.
And the girls then were having their lunch in peace.
To be continued...
