Chapter 13: Velocity

(Intro) (Storm Hawks updated with Starling)

On the hot sandy lands of Terra Saharr, Aerrow, Aria, Skyler and Radarr were racing across the land. Today was the annual Great Atmos Race. "Aerrow, we got company coming up behind us!" Radarr exclaimed when he looked behind to see some Sky Knights following after them to catch up. "I know, I know." Aerrow said. "Let's burn rubber then." Aria said. "Like the way you think, Aria." Skyler said. 4 other Sky Knights were driving after them. Aerrow, Aria, Skyler and Radarr tried their best to stay ahead of them. But suddenly, Aerrow's engine began sputtering and shorting out. "Aerrow, it's happening again!" Radarr exclaimed with worry. "That's the 3rd time this week!" Aria exclaimed. "Relax! Like I always say: it's the rider, not the ride." Aerrow said.

They leapt off a hill and bounced off some stone pillars before landing. Aerrow looked back to see the others catching up. "Here they come!" He called. Aria, Skyler and Radarr looked back to see the others driving down the hill. Just then, Radarr smelled something and realized what it was. "Aerrow, your engine's burning out!" He exclaimed. The skimmer started to slow down. Aerrow looked back to that the others were starting to catch up. "Come on, baby! Come on!" He exclaimed with worry. But the engine overheated and shorted out. Aerrow grabbed Radarr and leapt off the skimmer before it crashed. The 2 tumbled into the sand as Aria and Skyler stopped to help them. "You guys alright?" Aria asked. "Yeah. We're good, sis." Aerrow assured. "Uh, I don't think so." Radarr said. Aerrow, Aria and Skyler looked to see that the other Sky Knights caught up to them. One of them, Blister of the Third Degree Burners, got off his ride and walked up to them. "If you wanna win the race tomorrow, get a better ride." He insulted. The other 3 laughed as he got back on his skimmer and they drove off, leaving Aerrow, Aria, Skyler and Radarr in the dust. Aerrow and Radarr sulked as Aria put a comforting hand on her brother's shoulder while Skyler patted his friend's back for comfort too.

Later, at a pit stop, all of the Sky Knight teams competing in the race were fixing up their rides. "So, the others blew past you guys during the practice run. No big deal. It was just practice." Sky assured. "Yeah. Thanks, little bro." Skyler said. "And besides, the Storm Hawks always win the Great Race." Sky said. Just then, someone bumped into them. This was another of the Third Degree Burners named Burner. "Always won. The race hasn't been run for 10 years. I'll bet you new pups aren't half as good as the old Storm Hawks." He taunted. "Oh, is that right?" Sky asked. "Sky, let it go." Skyler said. "Well, I'm willing to put everything on my brother and my friends." Sky said. "Really? Then how about this? If none of your little friends or your brother leave Saharr wearing the Crystal Amulet, you wash our carrier…for a year." Burner wagered. The others were shocked at how big the carrier was. "You're on." Sky said, accepting the bet. As Burner walked away, Sky motioned his hand and created a big drop of water over his head and dropped it on top of him. "What the?! Where'd the water come from?!" Burner asked in shock. Sky chuckled at his prank. "Sky, what did you do?!" Skyla asked in worry. "Relax, sis. Our brother's a Stormheart. And Aerrow and Aria are just as fast. There's no way they can lose." Sky assured.

Later, Stork looked over the skimmers. "There's no way they can win." He said. "What?! What do you mean there's no way they can win?!" Sky exclaimed. "It's a simple matter of gimble rotation and gyroscopic precession." Stork said. "Uh…" Sky was confused. "They're rides aren't fast enough." Piper translated. They watched as a couple of racers took off for a practice run. Sky felt so down about making such a stupid bet. "Hey, it's the rider, not the ride. We'll be fine with what we got." Aerrow assured. But as Stork tinkered with the Aerrow's skimmer, it sparked in his face. "Easy for you to say, Aerrow. If you guys lose, you'll end up crashed somewhere in the desert. Me? I'll be humiliated." Sky said. Just then, the skimmer fell apart. Now Sky felt even more depressed.

Later, at the pit stop's bar, Sky, along with Finn, Junko and Judy, sat at the bar as they were brought their food. "Cheer up, Sky. Everybody makes bad bets. Trust me. I've made a few bad bets when I was younger." Finn said. "I know. And you were humiliated every time you lost." Sky said. "Yeah. But I learned from those losses." Finn said. "Have you though?" Judy asked. "Excuse me?" A voice said. Sky turned to see, much to his surprise, a beautiful Blizzarian girl wearing a blue crop-top coat and black winter jeans. His heart started pounding like a bongo drum, for this girl was the most beautiful creature he'd ever seen. "I'm Amy Lu from the Absolute Zeroes. You lot are the Storm Hawks, yes?" Amy Lu asked as she sat next to Sky. "That's us." Junko said. "I noticed your friend here looking so down on himself. Might I ask why?" Amy Lu asked. Sky snapped out of his love-struck phase and cleared his throat. "Well, I just made a stupid bet with one of the Third Degree Burners. If my older brother or any of my 2 friends lose the race, I have to clean their carrier for a year." He explained as he ate his food. "Wow. That is a bummer. But can I give you a bit of advice?" Amy Lu asked. "Sure." Sky said. "You don't need to make bets when someone is certain a friend or sibling is guaranteed to lose. What matters is that you give them as much support as they need. I do the same with my sister." Amy Lu explained as she stood up. "Think about it." And with that, she left.

Sky put all of this to thought just as he was about to order a refill. "I'd save your money." Burner said as he and the Third Degree Burners walked in. "Cause you're gonna need it to buy soap and sponges when your brother and friends lose!" They laughed at the taunt. "Laugh it up. You'll be singing a different tune when the race is over." Sky said. "Well, it might sound different because I'll be signing in my freshly clean cruiser." Burner gloated. His squad laughed as they walked away. But before they got too far, Sky created another drop of water and dropped it on Burner again. "Oh, WHAT?! AGAIN?! WHERE IS THIS WATER COMING FROM?!" Burner exclaimed angrily. Everyone in the bar laughed at this display. But now Sky was sighing with triple depression. "Better make my next one a double." He ordered. Suddenly, a coin dropped in front of them. "Allow us." A voice said. The Storm Hawks turned and saw 2 men in armor walk up to them. "I think we can…help each other out." One of them said. The Storm Hawks looked at each other.

Meanwhile, Stork had finished putting Aerrow's skimmer back together. "That's as fast as I can make it with what we have on hand. Now if I just had a power amp." He said. Suddenly, Junko and the others came in and placed a power amp on the skimmer. Stork happily cuddled it. "How did you…" Piper started to ask. Just then, 'Lark' popped up next to her and Aerrow, much to their surprise. She had wild, puffy, dark pink hair, light pink eyes, and her clothes were all different kinds of pink colors. "Your friends swapped their crystal converters for it." She said energetically as Junko and Judy ripped off the crystal converters right off Aerrow's skimmer. "Lark?! Or should I say Master Cyclonis?!" Piper exclaimed, pulling out her staff. "Whoa, whoa, whoa! Hostile! And my name is Peach." Peach introduced. "Yeah, I'm not buying that disguise bit again, Cyclonis." Piper said, unconvinced. Aria held out her hand, glowing pink, and scanned Peach with it. "It…It's not her! This isn't Master Cyclonis!" She said, surprised. "You're sure?" Aerrow asked. "Mana doesn't lie, Aerrow." Aria said.

"Anyway, I overheard the whole deal in the bar. I know without your crystal converters, your skimmers are less than useless. But the youngest Stormheart claims that the amp you got will make your leader the fastest racer out there. And that you'll get the converters back from those Sky Knights of Xerxes. And more. Or at least that's what I heard." Peach explained. "Wait. Our own brother made a deal with the Sky Knights of Xerxes?!" Skyler asked in shock. "Sky, how could you?" Skyla asked out of concern. "It was actually simple, really." Sky said. "I don't know. It sounds more like cheating." Aerrow said. "Hey, how about you take it for a test drive?" Sky asked. Aerrow thought about it and smiled.

Later that night, Aerrow, Aria, Skyler and Radarr drove through another practice run with the new power amp. As they passed through the stone pillars, Aerrow looked at his gage. "I'm already above max speed!" He exclaimed. "That's so cool, bro!" Aria exclaimed. "Activate the amp! See what it can do!" Skyler exclaimed. Aerrow activated the amp. "Oh no, no, no, NO!" Radarr screamed as Aerrow drove even faster, leaving Aria and Skyler in the dust. "Now this is fast." Aerrow said. But then he noticed Radarr looking like he was gonna be sick. "Okay, maybe a little too fast." He clutched the brake, but the skimmer wouldn't slow down. And then he noticed that they were heading towards a bunch of stone pillars. As Radarr screamed, Aerrow managed to activate his skimmer's wings and take off into the sky, slightly scraping on the front pillar. Aria and Skyler saw them take off into the air and began to drive back to the pit stop. Radarr began puking after that whole experience. "Oh, come on. You gotta admit. That was pretty cool." Aerrow said. "Ugh. Most fun…I've had…all my life." Radarr said, wiping his mouth. Aria and Skyler made it back to the pit stop first as the others watched Aerrow coming in to land with worried looks. Aerrow skidded to a full stop as he landed. "Did you see that?" He asked in excitement. "Yep. And so did they." Finn said, pointing to the other racers, who were attaching amps to their own rides. "Everyone in Tent City is amping up their rides for speed." Stork said. The Third Degree Burners waved tauntingly as they amped up Blister's ride. "So much for Sky's big plan." Piper said. "Maybe. But we also managed to get amps for Aria and Skyler too." Lavender said, holding up 2 more power amps for Aria and Skyler. "What's the point? Even with the power amps, we'd have to trade everything we've got just to keep up." Sky said. "Then we better get started." Aerrow said. Aria and Skyler nodded. Sky smiled as they walked off. But little did they know, one of the Xerxes Knights was watching them. His red eyes quickly turned to cerulean.

Later, Sky talked to the Sky Knight of the Buff Buzzards, Bruto. "Sure, trading me your new engine for some rusty pipes seems like a bad idea, but let me tell you why you're wrong." Sky said. After a successful trade, Junko and Judy brought the engine into their tent. Stork and Lavender started making the modifications. Later, Sky approached Amy Lu's sister, Suzy Lu, and one of the Screaming Queens in the bar with a set of tires. "Have I got a deal for you." He said. And very soon, the Storm Hawks were rounding up so many parts while trading useless junk to the other squadrons. Stork and Lavender grinned at each other as they finished the modifications.

Later, as Aerrow, Aria and Skyler walked back in, they got quite the surprise. "Wow!" Aerrow exclaimed. "You said it!" Aria exclaimed. All 3 of their skimmers were modified with some major boosters. "Uh, is those part of the Condor's engine?" Piper asked, noticing some certain parts on the boosters. "No. It's the whole thing." Sky said. "I'll bet that adds some kick." Aerrow said. "If it's part of the Condor, it surely would." Aria said. "How fast exactly are they?" Skyler asked. "They're so fast, we have no idea." Sky said. "Only thing you'd have to worry about at these speeds, one mistake can be…deadly." Stork said. "Especially if one of Cyclonis' lackeys show up." A familiar voice said. The Storm Hawks turned to see Spade entering the tent. "Spade!" Starling said happily. "What're you doing here?" Riggorix asked. "I'm here to warn you guys. Joker's infiltrated the race." Spade said. "It's true. He told me before coming to tell you, friends." Peach said as she walked in next to Spade. Aerrow, Aria and Skyler put all this to thought. If Joker has infiltrated the race, it's gonna get really wild and dangerous.

The next day, the Sky Knights were getting ready to start racing. Skyla was bringing a box of spare parts for Aerrow, Aria and Skyler. But then she tripped and one of the parts fell out and rolled into one of the tents. "Oh man! That was the last one. And the race is about to start." She said. She reached into the tent and grabbed the part. But then somebody in the tent grabbed her and pulled her in just as the Sky Knights gathered at the starting line.

Burner took position in the center of the starting line as the Sky Knights revved up their engines. "All of you represent the best Sky Knights in the Southern Skies." He announced. Everyone cheered. Spade and Peach stood with the Storm Hawks. "The first to grab the Crystal Amulet at the end wins." Burner said. "Grr. Where is he?!" The Xerxes Knight muttered angrily, noticing that his partner was missing. Aria turned her gaze at the Xerxes Knight beside her with suspicion. "No weapons. No flying." Burner said, telling the Sky Knights about the rules of the race. "Psst." Aria whispered to Aerrow, Radarr and Skyler, gesturing to the Xerxes Knight. Aerrow, Radarr and Skyler got the idea that Aria suspected that he was Joker in disguise. But then Skyler noticed that Skyla wasn't with the others. He sent a secret note to the others with his fire powers. 'Where is Skyla?' The Storm Hawks, Spade and Peach got the message and saw that Skyla was gone. "Now we're gonna see who's…the best of the best of the best…of the best." Burner said, walking away from the center as the Sky Knights prepared to race. "On your mark!" The Sky Knights continued revving their engines. "Get set!" Suddenly, Suzy Lu's engine backfired and sent her flying off into the sky, much to the humiliation of her fellow Blizzarians. "SIS!" Amy Lu cried. "Okay. GO!" Burner shouted, blowing an air horn. And the Sky Knights were off! "Okay, guys. We need to spread out and find Skyla." Piper said. The others nodded and took off.

As the Sky Knights were far into the desert, Bruto fell right down the hill, knocking him out of the race. As the others made it down the hill, Aerrow, Aria and Skyler chased after the Xerxes Knight into the sand hills. One of the racers lost control and drove into one of the sand hills. "I thought all of you were supposed to be good! Not the opposite!" The Xerxes Knight taunted. Aerrow, Aria and Skyler continued to chase him once the race brought them into a cave, avoiding the incoming columns. "You think you lot have what it takes?" The Xerxes Knight asked. "Try us." Aerrow said. The Xerxes Knight hit Aerrow's front tire with his rear tire, which made Aerrow lose control and hit Aria and Skyler, making all 3 of them fall behind. The one racer who got ahead of them ran into a column as Aerrow, Aria, Skyler, Radarr, Blister and the Screaming Queen leader, Tanya, drove ahead of him.

"The contestants who are still in this race are all the way closer to the amulet. But it looks like the sands of Xibular are making it a fight to the finish for the Sky Knights today." The announcer said as the Storm Hawks and Peach regrouped. "Any sign of Skyla?" Piper asked. "Not a thing." Lavender said. "It's like she just disappeared." Riggorix said. "Poor Skyla. I can't possibly live without my sister." Sky said with worry. "Best get used to it, boy. When your friends and brother lose this race, you'll be cleaning our whole carrier by yourself." Burner said. "My brother and my friends aren't out of this race yet, hot-head." Sky said. "Wait. Where's Spade?" Starling asked, noticing that Spade wasn't with them.

Meanwhile, Spade continued to look for Skyla. He stopped in front of the Xerxes Knight's tent and peeked inside. Skyla was tied up in the tent. "I don't know what you have planned, but you'll never get the Crystal Amulet." She said. "You think our racer can't win? Just because we're…Cyclonians?" The Xerxes squad asked, revealing themselves to be Cyclonian Talons. Skyla glared at them as they chuckled. Spade started thinking. He needed to help Skyla.

Meanwhile, as the race continued, after the racers reached the rock pillars and losing Tanya, Blister caught up with the Xerxes Knight. But suddenly, the Xerxes Knight cheated by bringing out his blade and slashing Blister's skimmer, causing him to crash into another pillar. The pillar began to collapse. Aerrow, Aria, Skyler and Radarr sped ahead to avoid the falling rocks. "Guess you forgot. Sky Knights don't cheat." Aerrow said. "Yeah. But you're no Sky Knight. So, why don't you show your face…Joker." Aria said. "Very clever, Aria." Joker said, revealing himself. He started swinging his blade at them. But when his swings all missed, he slashed another pillar, causing it to fall. Aerrow, Aria, Skyler and Radarr managed to dodge the pillar and stopped. "Spade was right. Joker's probably after the Crystal Amulet." Aria said. "And we're the only ones who can stop him." Aerrow said. "Then it's booster time." Skyler said. They fired up their power amps and sped off after Joker. As they caught up to him, they bashed past him and came up to where the Crystal Amulet was located. "There it is!" Aerrow called. But suddenly, Joker started firing Firebolts at them. Aria and Skyler were blown off the road. "Aria! Skyler!" Aerrow called. "Don't worry about us, Aerrow! Just get the amulet!" Aria exclaimed. Aerrow and Radarr sped after Joker. When they caught up, Aerrow and Joker prepared to fight. But Radarr distracted Joker by throwing chickens at him, giving Aerrow the chance to go for the amulet. But Joker managed to recover from his 'fowl' distraction and catch up to Aerrow. The 2 of them revved up towards the amulet and reached out to grab it. Aria prayed for Aerrow to grab it first and Skyler chewed on his nails in nervousness. Aerrow managed to grab the amulet and win the race! "Yes!" He cheered. "Alright, Aerrow!" Aria cheered. "You did it!" Skyler cheered. "We win!" Radarr cheered. Aerrow kissed the amulet in victory. But suddenly, Joker started laughing maniacally. "You thought that was what this was about? A stupid trinket?!" Joker asked. "Uh, yeah." Aerrow said. "What did you think this was about, Joker?" Aria asked as Joker drew his blade. "Think about it, kiddies. The racing skimmers have all crashed, and all the other fighters on Saharr have been cannibalized for parts." Joker explained. "Which means…we're all sitting ducks!" Aerrow realized. Aria, Skyler and Radarr gasped. "Yes. And as I bury you 4 in the sand here, my Talons and hopefully Dark Ace are doing the same to your friends at the camp." Joker said. He equipped a Windstone Crystal to his blade and fired a blast at a patch of sand behind Aerrow, Aria, Skyler and Radarr. That blast created a giant wind tornado. "Hope you kiddies like the storm. It's a little present we both got from Master Cyclonis. Goodbye, Storm Hawks." Joker said as the storm got closer to Aerrow, Aria, Skyler and Radarr.

Joker cackled as he took off. Aerrow, Aria, Skyler and Radarr tried to get away, but the storm caught up to them and sucked them right up. Joker cackled and activated a beacon.

Back in their tent, the Talons received the beacon. "That's our cue. Let's go!" The leader ordered. The Talons mounted onto their skimmers and drove out of the tent. Spade ran into the tent and cut Skyla's ropes. "Thanks, Spade." Skyla said. "No problem." Spade said. As they exited the tent, they saw that the Cyclonians were swarming all over Tent City. "Cyclonians! Get to your fighters!" Piper called. But then she saw that everyone's skimmers were in shambles. "What fighters?" Stork asked. "Oh. Right." Piper said sheepishly. Finn and Lavender started firing at the Cyclonians with their weapons. Junko and Judy found a couple of big cannons and fired a couple of rockets at the Talons, knocking a couple of them down. But they saw that Joker had arrived with reinforcements. "Time to put a huge dent in the Sky Knight population." Joker said. The Cyclonians swooped down and started firing. Everyone quickly ran for cover. As Junko and Judy jumped for cover, Junko accidently fell into a set of tires. "You okay, Junko?" Judy asked. Junko smiled and shrugged sheepishly.

As Joker cackled while firing on the defenseless Sky Knights, a blast was suddenly shot past him. He turned to see Spade. "You! Where's the Dark Ace?!" Joker demanded. "He's taking a nap at the moment. Luckily, you got me to deal with." Spade said, firing a blast from his blade. Joker managed to dodge the blast and tossed one of his Energy Cards at Spade. Spade managed to dodge it, but the card managed to leave a cut behind on his left cheek.

Meanwhile, Aerrow, Aria, Skyler and Radarr were still trapped inside the storm. "How are we gonna get free?" Skyler asked. "Wait! I know a move from Harrier's book that can save us!" Aerrow exclaimed. "Aerrow, no! That move is only meant to be used as an adult! And you're not in your Skylight Guardian form right now!" Aria protested. "There's no choice! I have to do it!" Aerrow exclaimed. He held out his arms and started to glow pastel blue. "Aerrow, don't!" Aria cried. Aerrow gave a big shout, summoned his air powers and broke the storm apart. They landed back on the ground, but Aerrow grew exhausted from using that move. "I warned you, Aerrow. Since you weren't in your Skylight Guardian form, you got exhausted from using that move." Aria said. "You okay?" Skyler asked. "Yeah. *pant, pant* I'll be fine in just a minute." Aerrow said. "We don't have a minute! Cyclonians are attacking Tent City as we speak!" Radarr exclaimed.

Meanwhile, back at the pit stop, the Cyclonians continued swarming the entire place. The Storm Hawks continued to use their weapons against them. Piper and Peach loaded a couple more rockets into Junko and Judy's cannons. Then the Wallop couple fired them at a couple Talons, bringing them down. "We're almost out!" Junko called. "My Energy Blasters are almost out of juice too!" Lavender called. "Hey, I need that!" A voice yelled. Everyone looked to see Blister arguing with one of the other Sky Knights over a part. "So do I!" Blister exclaimed. "We're never gonna survive this if the other Sky Knights don't start working together." Peach said. Sky started to think since he practically caused most of this whole mess. Just then, Bruto and Tanya started arguing over another part. "I need this to lead the counterattack!" Bruto exclaimed. "I can kick twice as much butt as you!" Tanya exclaimed. "Hey! Bragging right aren't helping anyone! If you don't put your pride aside and work together to beat the Talons, we're all toast!" Sky exclaimed as he walked up to them. Bruto and Tanya looked at each other. "Didn't I trade my engine to you for a rusty pipe?" Bruto asked. "That doesn't matter now!" Sky exclaimed. "He's right. I have an idea, but I need your help." Piper said. The Sky Knights looked at each other.

Soon, everyone started gathering up parts. Junko, Judy and Riggorix brought in a giant cannon. The Sky Knights and their squadrons all brought their parts inside a giant tent where they were building something. Piper and Peach watched under supervision. "This is about the coolest thing I've ever seen. And there's quite few cool things I've seen." Peach said.

As Stork was bringing more parts towards the tent, Joker and the Talons were coming around for another bombardment. Stork ran as fast as he could, but Joker and his squad were coming in too quick. But suddenly, Aerrow, Aria, Skyler and Radarr flew in to the rescue. Aria smacked a couple of Talons off their skimmers with her Energy Staff, giving Stork his chance to run for the tent. As Stork ran inside, Aerrow flew in to confront Joker. "What?! But how?!" Joker demanded in shock. "Next time you try to finish off a Storm Hawk, try something smarter than a storm! Especially if it's a Storm Hawk with the power to control air!" Aerrow exclaimed. "Oh, where is the Dark Ace when I need him?!" Joker groaned as he pulled back behind Aerrow. He then threw his Energy Cards at Aerrow. But he dodged, making the cards strike an incoming Talon. "Form up behind me!" Joker ordered. The remaining Talons formed up behind him and started chasing Aerrow, Aria, Skyler and Radarr.

As they passed the tent, Stork gave a thumb's up and the tent started to rise up. "Any last words, Storm Hawks?" Joker asked. "Yeah. Look behind you." Aria said. Joker looked behind him and saw the tent, revealing itself to be a handmade cruiser. "What is that thing?!" He asked in shock. "I'd say that's the Calvary." Aerrow said. "Hi!" Piper called as she waved from the cruiser with the others. "Let's do it, Aerrow!" Aria exclaimed. "Thought you'd never ask." Aerrow said as he took off his scarf and unveiled the Heart of Atmos. "Skylight Unite!" He called. And then, the Storm Hawks, except Judy, Lavender and Starling, transformed into the Skylight Guardians. Everyone, except Spade, was surprised by this. Especially Amy Lu, barely recognizing Sky after his transformation. "Radarr, take over." Aerrow said, leaping off his skimmer to fly. Radarr hopped onto the driver's seat to keep the skimmer air-born. "Sky! It's time for our new combo!" Aerrow called. "Water Twister time, eh? Coming right up!" Sky called as he took off into the sky. The 2 of them motioned their hands and created a huge twister fused with water. The twister started sucking up the Talons and their rides. The others started firing from their cannons to take out the stragglers for Aerrow and Sky to pick up. Joker turned around to fight back, but Peach managed to knock him out of the sky. With the skies now clear, Stork stepped up and raised his hands. "You all might wanna get down." Lavender advised, knowing what was coming. As everyone ducked down, Stork summoned a huge thunderstorm and struck the Water Twister with a huge strike of lightning, shocking all of the Talons. Joker recovered and retreated. Everyone cheered in victory.

When everyone returned to the ground, after the Storm Hawks changed back to normal, they all cheered as the Sky Knights took the Talons into custody. "We did it!" Sky cheered. "That's right. We all did." Aerrow said, holding up the amulet. "See? I told you my friend was good." Sky said. Suddenly, Aerrow tossed up the amulet, much to everyone's confusion. Then Aerrow drew one of his twin blades and blasted the amulet to pieces. Each piece landed in front of one of the Sky Knights. "Not one single Sky Knight won here today. So, I say we're all the best of the best!" Aerrow exclaimed. "Of the best!" Burner agreed. The Sky Knights all cheered. "Well, a bet's a bet. So, stand back." Sky said as he stepped towards the cruiser. He motioned his hands and created a huge ball of soapy water over the cruiser. "Whoa." Burner said in awe. Sky dropped the soapy water ball on top of the cruiser and controlled the water to scrub the entire thing clean, inside and out. The Third Degree Burners were shocked at how fast Sky was cleaning their cruiser. When he was finished, Sky ceased his control, turned around and walked up to them. "So, I guess that settles our bet?" He asked. "Yeah, I guess. You paid up, so we're good." Burner said, fist-bumping Sky. The others chuckled at their new friendship. "And if you Storm Hawks need any of us, we'll be there to help." Burner said. The other Sky Knights nodded. Aerrow nodded back.

"Well, as much as I want to continue our time together, I think I should head out." Peach said. "Really? You're leaving already?" Piper asked. "Yeah. I got places to be, people to meet, all that jazz. But don't worry. You'll be seeing me again soon." Peach said, giving the Storm Hawks a big group hug before skipping on her way. Once Peach left, Starling noticed someone was missing. "Hey, where's Spade?" She asked. "Oh, Spade left after all this mess. He said he had some business to attend to. But he said he'll be seeing us again soon." Finn said. Just then, Amy Lu noticed something. "Hey. Has anyone seen my sister?" She asked. Apparently, Suzy Lu was still soaring in the air, unaware of what happened back on the terra.

Meanwhile, Joker reported back to Master Cyclonis. "You were beaten by the Storm Hawks and all of those Sky Knights AT ONCE?!" Master Cyclonis exclaimed furiously. "No, Master! It's not my fault! Dark Ace went MIA again!" Joker cried. Just then, Dark Ace entered the throne room. "You! Where have you been?!" Joker demanded. "I…I'm not sure. One minute, we were setting up our plan, and the rest…is all a blank." Dark Ace said. Master Cyclonis then noticed a cut on Dark Ace's left cheek. "Where did you get that cut?" She asked. "I…I don't know, Master. It was there when I woke up." Dark Ace said, rubbing the cut. "Weird. That cut looks like the same one I gave to that Spade character, in that very same spot." Joker said. That got Master Cyclonis to start thinking some more about Dark Ace's disappearances and Spade's appearances. 'Perhaps my Dark Ace has another personality forming inside of him.' She thought.

Well, wasn't that something? Aerrow, Aria and Skyler enter the Great Atmos Race on Terra Saharr. Unfortunately, Joker infiltrated the race and nearly conquered the whole terra and destroyed the participating Sky Knights. But thanks to the Skylight Guardians, the Sky Knights managed to defeat the Cyclonians and save Terra Saharr. Meanwhile, Sky met the girl of his dreams, a Blizzarian named Amy Lu. But Master Cyclonis is also getting wise onto Dark Ace and Spade after finding a cut on his left cheek, left there by Joker. Will Spade ever tell the Sky Knights his secret?
