The Sunset was beautiful, but as the rain fell over her Taryn closed her eyes. Beauty was no longer an option for her. She had lost all that was holly to her during the war against the Gould. The greatest man in her life had been slaughtered for being in the wrong place, at the wrong time.

"Taryn, it's time to go" Turning to her husband, Taryn Cried gently. He took her into his arms gently, letting her cry as their ride showed up. "Let's go" he whispered to her.

She looked down at the grave weakly, tears still streaking her eyes as he led her to the Limo. Taking one last look at the grave she took hold of her husbands hand gently. The one person who knew her more then anything, who knew more about her then she did was now dead because of a stupid mistake.

It wasn't even the gou'ld, who had killed him, but one of the native planets leaders took his attitude the wrong way, and SG1 could do nothing to help when he was sentenced to death.

They all knew Sam was taking it the hardest. She had been hiding her feeling from him for years, and now she knew she would never be able to express them. She'd never be able to tell him she love him.

"You'll get through it" John promised her "I'll do anything to help you get through it" Taryn looked up at him weakly. His eyes shown with the same light as her fathers had, and now he'd be the only one able to remind her of him.

"I miss him" She whimpered "I need him here"

"Shhhh baby" pulling his wife closer john kissed her forehead "we'll find a way to get though it, I promise"

Closing her eyes gently Taryn let the darkness take over gently as her tears dried. She hadn't slept since the day that her father had been brought back. His bloody corps still rooming her mind as she fell asleep she felt johns grip tighten.

Carrying His wife into the house John took her to their room quietly. She looked so peaceful as she slept. He knew she had been keeping herself awake in grief for the past 5 days while all he could do was sleep his grief away.

He watched quietly as their cat, samba, jumped onto the bed and curled up beside her, and kissing her gently he headed down stairs, knowing when she woke up she'd be a wreck.

The next morning Taryn made her way down stairs after a shower and sat down at the dinner table. She watched quietly as all the kids came down stairs and collected their lunches before heading out to school, trying not to show the pain they felt.

"I told them to try" Looking up at John Taryn smiled weakly "They didn't want to leave you, but I thought it was best if we were alone"

"Well, alone time isn't going to be the most fun" she stated weakly "I'm not exactly in that mood"

"I don't want you in the mood Taryn; I want you to have some time with just me. No work, no kids, just you and me to morn jack's death" laying in johns arms weakly Taryn laughed.

"The pain will never go away, will it?" she asked weakly.

"No it won't, but we can try to make it more livable" john whispered "come on, lets go to the grave yard" John quietly got to his feet from beside Taryn and went to grab his things, leaving her sitting at the table.

"Damn" she whispered "damn you for dieing" laying her head on her chest Taryn closed her eyes "tomorrow" she said weakly as john walked back into the room "we'll go tomorrow. I don't want to see his grave this soon" closing her eyes she let her tears fall to the floor as john wrapped his arms around her.

"Then we'll go tomorrow. Come, let's go to the couch" he said weakly. Leading Taryn to the couch john laid her down in his arms as she closed her eyes, gently falling asleep wears she laid. "I love you" he whispered to her.

"I love you to" falling asleep quietly Taryn finally let john hold onto her once again, promising to take care of her till the end of time.
