Impractical: A Drabble
A dress like that was meant to be worn...and then left in a puddle on the bedroom floor.
The thought stopped her in front of the store window. She stared until her reflection tangled with the vivid blue of the sundress.
"Tegan?" she heard Nyssa ask. "Do you like this dress?"
Did she ever. "It's lovely," she answered. "But I'd never wear it."
"It does seem impractical for every day use," Nyssa said.
Her mouth twisted in a rueful smile. That wasn't what she meant, but leave it to dear Nyssa to take her literally.
"Completely impractical," she agreed wryly.
