For the first time in my life, I was nervous and had no idea what to do. I knew Hogwarts well enough, but teaching? I went directly to Professor Dumbledore's office as instructed, acting every bit like a school boy about to go on a first date. Yes, I was excited to be here, and I wanted to teach, but how many of the students knew who I was? What I had done? I killed someone. The thought was still fresh in my mind.

I walked throught the door to see my old professor sitting at his desk.

"Severus. How are you?" He gestured to the chair across from his desk, where I then sat.

"I'm fine professor."

"Nervous?"

"Very. I don't know anything about teaching. The mre and more I think about it, the more and more I start to think this was a stupid desicion for you to-"

"My decision was made conciously and for the better of my students. I beleive you have the potential to be an excellent teacher."

I stayed quiet.

"If you'll follow me, I'll show you the side of Hogwarts you never saw."

We both got up, and I started to follow him. He showed me the living quarters, the private library, and everything else that I would need to begin a teaching carrer.

"Your lesson plans for all seven years, including Advanced Potions, will be due at the staff meeting on Monday two weeks from now. Is ther eanything else that I can help you with?

"I don't beleive so, no."

"Very well. You know where to find me." He started to walk out the door when he turned around once more. "And Severus?"

"Yes?"

"Good Luck."

He walked away before i could say anything else. My thoughts started to run through my mind. At last, I came to the conclusion that hey, if I screw up, it's not going to be anything new. And I might as well try it.
