Wow did this story take off! It seems everyone's enjoying something about the idea, so I'm going to continue with it while I've got the ideas! So someone came to me and asked about what Whitebeard's pairing should be, and they brought up Mrs. Mayberry from the first episode of Helluva Boss. So thank you to Apotheosis0 for the suggestion, and I'm curious as to what all of you think about it. So for an approximate timeline, this chapter, and the end of the first with the interaction with Blitz, I'll put it around the late 1980s. I hope you guys enjoy!

"Courtney, put Stolas on the phone. I need to have a word with that owl prince." Newgate said upon entering his office. Courtney nodded, the little deer demon putting him through into Newgate's office phone as he sat back in his chair.

"Good afternoon Stella, is Stolas available? I need to discuss some business with him. No my dear, I do not wish to sleep with you, we've had this conversation over the years. You two have a young daughter and I'm not a homewrecker." He chuckled softly, hearing the avian matriarch grumble as she handle Stolas the phone.

"Mister Newgate, my wife said you wanted to speak to me, how quaint~" Stolas said seductively, and upon centuries of putting up with similar demons Newgate's voice didn't waiver. "Stolas, do you still have that spellbook? The one that allows you access to the living world?"

Stolas blinked, "Yes I do. A delightful little imp asked me the same question a few days ago. Is he working for you Mister Newgate?"

"He is, my newest employee. He wants to start an assassination business and I'm funding his project to see how it goes. I'm giving him a test run, to see how it performs."

"Oh Newgate that is so like you…. Helping others out with their problems and dreams. Why it reminds me of me…" Stolas ranted on as Newgate pinched his nose, sighing softly as the odd avian-owl demon prince went on about his bizarre sexual fantasies and other things. Oddly enough, some of it was censored through his phone.

"Yes yes Stolas? I don't care about you or your wife's fantasies. I'm a busy man, running a multi-ring corporation. I don't have time to chit-chat and hear what you're in the mood for. And no, I'm not playing hard to get. Yes you can hire Blitz out for contracts if you so desire. Beyond that is between you and him, and I very much don't need the details."

Newgate hung up the phone, sighing. "Holy shit is he foul." He saw his phone ringing and glared. "Speaking of foul…. Courtney, why is Valentino calling me now?!" "I'm sorry Mister Newgate, he said he had something important to discuss with you."

He sighed, silently debating if to just let it go to voicemail but decided against it. He pressed a button as he got up. "What is it Valentino? I'm a busy man."

"Aww you sound so stressed Eddie…. Why don't you come down to the studios and I'll get someone to…." "You finish that sentence Valentino and I'll make you regret surviving Linlin's rage. Now answer my question, What. Do. You. Want?"

"Party pooper. I'm having trouble with one of my employees. You know, Angel Dust?" "What about him? His father being a pain again or something?" Newgate said as he crossed his hands behind his back. "Oh not that, dear 'ol daddy Dust kicked him out. No, he hasn't been showing up to work and that's costing me money."

"And how does that concern me moth? He's your employee." "Because Velvet went to go find him." Newgate's fist clenched. Out of the current overlords, he was the closest to Velvet. She was the closest thing to a daughter that he had, both in life and in Hell. "And Vox can't track her through her phone? I know about Vox's trackers; I took it out of mine and requested that all of those in my employ never get them."

"That is correct. You may not like me Edward, but we both know how close Velvet is to me and you." "She's an overlord, just like you Valentino. Do you think that just because Angel Dust didn't show up for work that Henroin is behind it? Because that's a grave accusation, Valentino, and you know how much I dislike baseless accusations."

There was an audible gulp from the moth on the other line as the gorilla demon smirked. "I'll take care of it Valentino but do remember the usual agreement that we have when you need something of me." Valentino scowled. "Yes, fine. I won't abuse any of my employees or those who become my employees for one year's time." They both hung up.

"Courtney, I'm going for a walk. I'll be back in a few hours." Newgate said, exiting his office and passing by his secretary's desk. "O-of course Mister Newgate."

One hour later, in Pentagram City

Newgate stepped out of the portal, wearing a fedora on his head in his business suit. He looked up to see newcomer Sir Pentious in his blimp. 'As long as that brat doesn't do anything while I'm here, he won't have anything to worry.' He noticed the sound of explosions in the direction from where he was coming from. He smirked softly. 'A new player huh? Oh how fascinating.'

He strolled through the city as people parted for him to walk through. After a few minutes he noticed he was being followed. 'Heh, some brat thinks he wants to mug me. Well, let's see how this goes.' He walked down an alley with a smirk.

A hellhound walked into the alley, smirking. "Hey old timer, what brings you around here?" Edward turned to face the hellhound. "I'm looking for my daughter. Seems I've made a wrong turn and got lost." He said with a shrug as the hellhound pulled out a knife.

"Yeah you did, now you're going to hand me all the money you've got. You look like one of those rich assholes who can do whatever they want." Newgate looked the hellhound up and down with an unsuppressed smile. "What are you doing?"

"W-what? What do you mean what am I doing? I'm mugging you!" Edward laughed heartily. "With that stance? Even if I wasn't the ten-foot gorilla that I am, I could easily knock you over." The hellhound looked confused before with a simple push and leg sweep, Edward knocked him on his ass and took the knife in his hand. He waved it around all fancily before reaching out for the hellhound to help him up.

Embarrassed, the hellhound took the hand. "Now, how about you tell me why you attempted to mug me huh?" "I need the money to help my wife. I'm struggling to make ends meet." The hellhound answered, sitting down with Newgate. "Listen kid, what did you do back when you were alive?" The hellhound looked down. "I-I was a masseuse in life. And I was damn good at it too." Newgate smiled gently. "Then how about you try it down here? I'm sure working for my daughter would be helpful for you, and she's never had someone with an interest in massages."

The hellhound looked up in shock. "R-really? You think so." Newgate nodded softly. The hellhound looked away before a smile crossed his face. "Wow, since I've gotten here, no one's believed in me." Newgate grinned softly. "While it's important for one to believe in themselves, a little help from others can be a great blessing, even down here in Hell." The hellhound had tears in his eyes, sniffling softly as Newgate stood up. (1)

"In two days' time, head to Porn Studios and ask for Velvet. Be polite and courteous and tell her that her father sent you for a job as a masseuse. She'll help you get set up, alright?" The hellhound was shocked. "W-wait, the overlord Velvet, is your daughter?!"

Newgate laughed. "She's adopted, but yes she is indeed my daughter." The hellhound was floored but nodded. "T-thank you sir for the opportunity!" Newgate laughed again. "You had a good past, and you've got a great future kid. Make the most out of it."

The hellhound stopped him as he was leaving the alley. "S-sir, wait! I saw some folks taking her back towards the red-red light district. I don't know what they have planned, but that's where they were taking her!" Newgate narrowed his eyes but nodded. "Thank you son."

Red-Red light district

"Let go of me you jerks! Do you have any idea as to who I am?!" Velvet yelled, squirming in their grips. Let it be known that while Velvet was an overlord, but she was the newest overlord, so while powerful, if she was faced with multiple enemies, she would be overwhelmed. Here she was, her dress torn up and her face bruised.

"Kukuku, oh we know exactly who you are my dear~ Overlord Velvet, how a doll like you managed to become overlord we may never know." A snake demon said, pure snow white with beady slits in his eyes. "I know that those other two friends of yours will pay a handsome ransom for your safe return. So we'll be keeping you until our demands are met." Velvet started to giggle softly, before starting to laugh madly. It unnerved the thugs that had worked for the snake.

"Oh you think your demands will be met? You kidnapped the wrong girl you fuckstain." She giggled in madness as there was booms being heard, not from explosions but from thunderous footsteps, or even someone jumping and landing hard. "He's coming~"

A couple of imps and hellhounds gulped, looking out towards the alley they came through. A shadowy figure appeared at the entrance. "Oy get lost buddy. This has nothing to do with you." A red portal opened up as the figure reached into it, pulling something out and all the thugs could see was a shining blade. Velvet giggled madly, almost insane.

(Yes this is the hallway scene from Rogue One with Vader, only with Newgate. So if you would like the full experience, please put on the music from that scene!)

"Papa's gonna kill you… papa's gonna kill you~" She sung out as the snake's eyes widened. "Fire on him now!" They started to shoot their guns at the figure, the figure easily cutting through the bullets and they missed his form, as if he was manipulating where the bullets went. He slowly walked towards them, cutting down the nearest imp. He stalked towards the men that would dare kidnap and harm his precious daughter.

The snake's eyes widened in fear. "H-hurry Koran! Open the portal!" An elephant demon was doing his best to do so. "I-I can't! The portal won't open!" The snake looked back in fear, the only visible things from the figure approaching them was the shining blade and bright red slits for eyes.

As Newgate walked ever closer, he gripped another by the throat, crushing it and throwing him aside. He clenched his fist, a red bubble () around his fist as he punched the air in front of him, causing the demons to stumble and drop their weapons as he caused a small, controlled earthquake in the alley. He cut through them easily until the elephant opened the portal for his boss. "H-hurry boss!"

The elephant went to hand Velvet's giggling form to him before finding himself unable to do so as Velvet socked him in the face as he groaned softly, backing up until he found himself against a tall object. He shivered in fear as Velvet waved at the elephant before his head was separated from his body as they felt to the ground.

"KORAN!" The snake yelled before going through the portal. Newgate gripped the elephant's head and tossed it through the portal. "If you ever, EVER, think about kidnapping my daughter again, you WILL face my FULL WRATH." The voice came from the severed elephant demon's head as the snake screamed in terror and the portal closed.

The white and red-haired gorilla grinned darkly before he felt a weight against his chest. He looked down and smiled softly at his missing daughter hugging him before he hugged back with one arm. "Are you okay Velvet?" She nodded softly, whimpering.

"Valentino told me that you had gone out to look for Angel Dust. Said something about him not showing up for work or something like that, do you know anything about that my dear?"

Velvet looked up. "I haven't seen him; I was on my way to the studios when I was grabbed by those men." Newgate narrowed his eyes as Velvet continued. "I'm closer to Vox so I'm surprised Val called you to look for us."

"Yes, he seemed more concerned about Angel than his fellow overlord." Newgate started. "You may be overlords, but you are the Triple V Overlords. Your reach is only second to mine and the newer overlord, Alastor."

Alastor's rise to power had send the higher ups of Hell's hierarchy into a panic as it had been too quick. The only ones not concerned were Lucifer himself and Newgate. Newgate wasn't worried as it reminded him of how Ace and that Straw Hat brat's rises were just as quick. He chuckled internally, remembering that brat. In only a few months' time, he went from a nobody to having a bounty of 300 million beri and fighting in Marineford. 'I wonder if that brat ever reached Raftel and found Roger's treasure.'

He pulled out his phone and dialed Vox's number. "Vox, it's Newgate. I've got Velvet with me; I need one of your trusted men to come and get her. This one time, and only this time, am I turning on my tracker so you can get her."

Vox sighed softly in relief. "Thank goodness. Velvet is my best friend Mister Newgate, I'm glad to hear that she's safe. I'll send one of them to get her."

Newgate hung up and activated the tracker, patting Velvet's head softly. "They'll be here soon princess don't you worry." They walked out of the alley as Velvet clung to his arm. "Thanks pops!" She said with a chipper tone as they sat down on a nearby bench. He took off his jacket and placed it around her to cover her torn up dress, summoning another one for himself.

"Do you know what they wanted with you Velvet?" He asked in concern, his caring nature not dampening in the centuries he's spent in hell. Velvet frowned in thought. "The snake guy, he said his name was Orochi. He's new, I've never seen him before. He's definitely strong as well, his sword, it reminds me of yours pops." Newgate's eyes narrowed in anger. "Mura is unique, you know that Velvet." "I know pops, but he deflected my potion-based attacks easily with them. And you know those contain curses for my enemies and blessings for me." Newgate's eyes softened ever so slightly. 'So it might be one of the twelve, or even one of the twenty-one. How would they even get it here?'

"I'll have to think about it more. Seems like your ride is here Velvet." They saw the limo approaching as Vox himself was in it. They both stood up and gave one final hug to each other. "Pops, thank you for saving me. Even though you didn't have to, or need to, I appreciate it." Newgate smiled softly. "It's always a father's duty to look after his kids, even if he adopts them when they're an adult." Velvet pouted. "Don't remind me of that!" Newgate laughed heartily as Vox sweated nervously.

"Keep her safe Vox, she's still learning the Overlording business after all. Even I can't be everywhere at once." Newgate said with a stern expression as Vox sweated more. "Y-yes sir Mister Newgate sir!" Velvet got in and the limo took off. Newgate's expression faded as he laughed more. "I love scaring the brats sometimes!"

He noticed the street was empty after Vox and Velvet left and that's when he felt an explosion hit his back. "Oy Cherri, what the hell did you do that for?!" A voice said before a feminine spoke next. "I'm just trying to get a name for myself Angie! You know how it is!" "Not against him girl! That's!" The smoke cleared as the figure stood there, unharmed, which unnerved the now named Angel Dust and shocked the named Cherri.

Newgate turned around with a raised eyebrow. "Oh that's where you've been brat. You know that little moth of a boss of yours is looking for you. You've made a friend it seems." Angel rubbed the back of his neck, the spider demon clearly nervous of being in front of the Emperor. Cherri placed a hand on her hip. "Yeah, who are you? You're clearly stronger than these other chaps if you survived one of my bombs."

Newgate laughed. "You really don't know who I am brat?" He shook his head in amusement as Cherri frowned. "Seems like time has forgotten my name, I suppose it had to happen with the great age of piracy dying in the mid-18th century. I've held many titles brat: "The World's Strongest Man," "The man closest to One Piece," and others long forgotten. But you may know me as Edward Newgate, Emperor of Hell. Second to only to Lucifer." Cherri's jaw dropped as Angel facepalmed with one of his hands. "Oh great old man, you just broke her mind. You already scare off most of the folks around here with your presence."

Cherri shook the cobwebs as Newgate looked on in amusement. "H-how? That would mean that you have been here for over three hundred years! How are you still alive?! Haven't the overlords or others seeking power sought to overthrow you?" Newgate chuckled. "They tried, for the first hundred years at least. Every now and then I get a new damned soul that thinks they can challenge me, and I punish their resolve. I admire it, but there's a reason why I'm still the Strongest Man. So who are you little miss?"

The cyclops demon gulped. "I'm Cherri Bomb, I landed here a few weeks ago. I've been trying to make a name for myself, claiming the unclaimed territory and all." Newgate smiled before looking at Angel. "Brat, you should get to the Studios. The moth had the balls to call me to look for you, only reason I did so was because Velvet was missing as well." Angel's eyes widened. "Wait, wait, wait. You mean to tell me an overlord got kidnapped? The fuck did that happen?" "It seems that another new player has shown up. Orochi, a snake demon. He has a weapon that is very powerful, not quite to one of Their weapons, but enough to bring her down."

Angel looked down. "Well shit…." Newgate nodded before looking at the giant clock tower. "You two better hurry inside, E-day is about commence." They noticed that it had an hour left as Angel's eyes widened more. "Come on sugar tits, we gotta go! Thanks for the warning Mistah Newgate!" Newgate chuckled. "Stay safe brat! I don't want to hear any shit from Val for a while!" Angel took off with Cherri in pursuit as Newgate smiled at the fleeing two, before his expression turned serious as he looked at the clock. He made a call. "Courtney, get all of our staff in the company basements, the purge is going to start in an hour." He closed the phone and walked towards the city limits.

One Hour Later

"Announcing the commencement of the annual Extermination Day. All denizens of Hell except for Lord Lucifer are designated for extermination. If you wish to avoid extermination, sucks for you fuck nuts! It's happening and there's nothing you can do about it!" The ring-wide PA system went off with a laugh as Newgate looked up as the exorcists started to fly down. Michael's clash with him in purgatory made him increase the exorcists and the other angels' training by tenfold. They had a new trainer about five years after his own death and he didn't know who. (3) He closed his eyes, knowing that his company's may be damaged in the coming raid, but he also knew that none of his employees would be killed in the coming chaos. He opened his eyes sharply before slamming a fist to the left of him, the red cracks around the ambushing exorcist's weapon as his eyes widened.

Newgate smirked softly before the weapon shattered as he gripped the angel's head, a red bubble surrounding it as he used his quake powers to take out the angel, much like he did to Ronse back at Marineford, throwing the unconscious angel away. "Gurararara, you want to get to Pentagram City? You'll have to get through me first!" His form started to grow as he used his powers to change his clothes, taking on his old look before he died and growing to his near twenty-two-foot height as he gripped Murakumogiri.

"I am Edward Newgate, and I am the Emperor of Hell! I will not let any of my children fall to you!" He roared, swinging the naginata with great strength and the power of his quake, causing a shattering to appear in front of him as the city shook from his power, despite being so far away. The oncoming angels either flew out of the way or were knocked unconscious and from the attack.

More and more exorcists poured into Hell as he looked out. Knowing that he couldn't protect all of Hell, Newgate hoped that the citizens could defend themselves enough or hide. He tilted his head to the side as he saw an arm stretch past his head, looking back to the angel who had thrown the punch he was quite surprised to see a familiar Straw Hat. "Gurarara, Mugiwara huh? Been a long-time brat." Luffy grinned, his wings floating him down. "Hey Ace's dad! It's been so long! I don't want to kill anyone, but they told me that you were down here, and I wanted to see how I matched up to ya! Shishishi!" Newgate smirked softly. "Some things never change with you, Mugiwara. Tell me something, did you manage to claim Roger's treasure?"

Luffy nodded excitedly. "I did! I beat up that Blackbeard guy and Akainu to get it! I even beat up Big Mom and Kaido!" Newgate's eyes glistened in amusement. "Seems you've gotten strong brat! You may be able to keep me entertained for a bit!" Luffy grinned. "Shishishi! I know I can beat you! I became King of the Pirates after all!"

Newgate grinned as well, seeing the now rubber angel expand. Fourth Gear, if he remembered correctly, from what he was told from when he fought his old crewmates when they tried to start an uprising. "Do know brat, we won't have a long time to fight. This purge only lasts a full twenty-four hours after all."

(Insert Battle of the Heroes from Star Wars)

Newgate and Luffy grinned at each other before vanishing from view, clashing with each other all around the outskirts of Pentagram City. The clashes were flashes of white and red, loud, and impactful, as there were noticeable vibrations from their clash. They met above the city and Edward thrusted his fist forward, cracks coming from it as Luffy thrusted his balloon fist forward. "Gomu-Gomu no King Kong Gun!" Luffy yelled as Edward laughed. The two collided causing a loud smash to be heard as citizens looked out the window to see the noise and saw the two fighting.

Porn Studios

Velvet looked out of the window, getting a clear view of the fight. Vox placed a comforting hand on her shoulder before looking out as well. "Newgate/Pops…"

Imp City

Blitz was doing well for himself, until the purge hit. Now he was fighting off exorcists in front of an orphanage with a strange dragon demon man with slicked back hair and a red undershirt with a white suit jacket on. "Holy fuck, how many of these shitheads are there?" Blitz said with a pant, taking cover as he reloaded his guns.

The dragon demon looked at the scenery, choosing to fight with whatever he could. "I do not know, but I will not allow them to reach the orphanage" He clenched his fist and fell back into a fighting pose, striking down more exorcists.

Blitz went to shoot another one as the ground shifted. He stumbled a bit. "The fuck was that?" He looked towards Pentagram city and was agape. "M-mister Newgate….."

Back at Pentagram City

He grinned viciously, much like how he did with his final clash with Roger. Newgate pushed back against Luffy's Fourth Gear and punched him back to the ground outside the city. He landed and noticed that more exorcists were surrounding him. "They think they can kill me this easily, as if I'm some ordinary demon…" He started as he noticed some of the demons, coming to aid him as he held his hand back. "I don't need any help because I'm…"

He was cut off when he was shot repeatedly by the exorcists, making the demons gasps as four stabbed their blades into his chest as he went to fall backwards. He took a step instead, righted himself. "I am…. I AM WHITEBEARD!" He yelled as his muscles clenched, gripping Murakumogiri as he slammed the blade through the ground, causing the angels and dust to fly around against their will. He launched them back towards heaven from the force of his swing, no devil fruit needed. He slammed his blade down into the ground as he gripped the air around him.

He suddenly pulled down. "I AM THE GUARDIAN OF HELL!" His devil fruit powers activated as the surrounding area, excluding Pentagram City, started to tilt. "Take out the lesser exorcists! I'll handle Mugiwara!" He yelled at the demons who arrived, who roared to life and started fighting the exorcists tooth and nail. He turned an eye to the clock tower. '15 hours left. Stay safe my children.' He narrowed his eyes in front of him, looking at the new arrival who landed in front of Luffy.

"Gramps, I can handle this!" Luffy protested before the figure who looked at Newgate narrowed his eyes. "No Luffy, you're not ready for this yet. He sent you to your early second death, go back and get more training, your crew's all up there anyways."

Newgate narrowed his eyes and uttered a single name. "Garp….."

Alrighty, chapter two is done! Tons of references in this chapter, hope you found and caught them all! I know I'm going to get slack for this, "Why did you make Velvet his daughter? Why are you portraying Vox and the other V Overlords as good guys?" Blah blah blah, I know Vivize has said that Vox is going to be a major antagonist in the actual series, and we're going to get there eventually. Velvet's date of death and reason of death is unknown, so I'm just making this up as I go. It's fanfiction, whatcha gonna do? Only thing I can really base them off of is what I know already, otherwise expect some OC stuff from them since, as you know, Hazbin is only with it's pilot and Helluva Boss just released it's 4th episode. To those wondering, yes Orochi is going to be a reoccurring character and by the name you can take a guess as to who that is. We've seen mentions of the VVV Overlords, Alastor, as well as a certain dragon, along with a short conversation with Stolas and the mention of Octavia and Stella.
