"Garp…" Newgate let out with a growl, his eyes narrowing at the once proud vice admiral. The old vice admiral hadn't gone to heaven, it seemed, as he had first thought. Here he stood, standing between him and Mugiwara, a shell of his former self. He had taken a more vicious version of the hellhound appearance, suited for his treacherous and proudful nature.

The former vice admiral looked at the giant gorilla that was the Emperor. "It's been a long time, Whitebeard." Newgate snarled. "Not since Marineford. Where your damn pride as a marine overcame the needs of your family! YOU BETRAYED ACE, BETRAYED ROGER'S WISHES!" Garp didn't flinch, only sternly staring at the gorilla. "I did what I had to. I raised him, and that's what Roger wanted. I tried to keep him on the path of a marine- ""BULLSHIT!" Newgate roared.

He pointed Murakumogiri at Garp. "Because of you, Ace died prematurely! He was expected to be my age when he passed, being able to see Mugiwara become pirate king! You could've stopped him damn it! I know you let Mugiwara beat you on the bridge. You've taken stronger hits from me, Roger, even Xebec damn it!" Newgate didn't realize it, but he had tears running down his face.

"Dragon put Mugiwara in your care, as he was the most wanted man as the Revolutionary Leader, and how did you repay him? Beat the shit out of his grandson, called it training, let him head into the Grand Line unprepared! Most importantly, you could've stopped him before he got to Marineford." Garp's eyebrows rose as Newgate continued. "You don't think I don't know about Water 7 and Enies Lobby? I knew you were there Garp. You could've stopped him damn it! And because of your own pride, YOU LET HIM WATCH HIS BROTHER BE MURDERED RIGHT IN FRONT OF HIM!"

Garp crossed his arms, glaring at Newgate. "You think I care about what you say Newgate? You were a pirate back then, so was Roger. I took down Rocks D. Xebec, I took down Gol D. Roger, YOU THINK I CARE ABOUT A BUNCH OF PIRATES?! Ace wasn't my kid; he was my rival's. My hated enemy's child. I promised Roger that I would raise the brat and I did. I tried to make him a marine so he could be better than Roger, but he wanted to become a pirate. And I'm glad I killed Red-Hair when I did, that damn brat turned my only grandson into a pirate too!"

Newgate's eyes narrowed before they heard a sharp gasp coming from behind Garp. Luffy had covered his mouth, tears flooding down his face. "T-that's why I couldn't give Shanks his hat back after I became king? Y-you told me t-that Blackbeard killed him….." "And there's you're the reason you're here in Hell, Monkey D. Garp. You never cared about your family, you cared more about your pride as a marine, as being "Hero of the Marines." You thought just because you retired people would still see you as a hero." Newgate gripped Garp's shirt, pulling him close as Newgate had shifted into his true demon form. (Whitebeard's regular form, just more gorilla like).

"I've taken care of Xebec when he was down here, with Linlin, Kaido, Teach, and all the other scum from our time. Some have tried to overthrow me, and I've put them down. Some have tried to overthrow Lucifer, and I've put them down. I've always wondered how you got into heaven, knowing of your past deeds, but now I know you were just hiding, keeping a low profile. That's impressive for you Garp." He glared at him, his irises turning red as his pupils stayed the tiger-like they always were. "Oy, Mugiwara." Newgate spoke up, keeping his attention at the struggling former marine. "Go see that red-haired brat, go find Roger and tell him of what your grandfather has done."

He looked up to see the leader of the exorcists coming down. "The extermination time has passed; we can all go about our business down here. Meanwhile, I have an asshole I have to deal with, personally."

Some of the exorcists, those that were still alive from the onslaught, looked down in disappoint before following the leader back to the heavens. After their departure, Newgate threw Garp out further past the city, resulting in loud crashes as the former hero flew through pillars and other debris brought up from Newgate's powers.

"To think Roger ever entrusted you with Ace, it's a damn shame Garp. He could've entrusted him to me, or to Red-Hair, or even that damn clown that was on his crew. But no, he had to put him in the lap of an overzealous, overhyped, piece of shit that is Monkey D. Garp." Garp stood up, spitting out some blood, before ripping off his jacket and glaring at Newgate.

"I did what I had to damn it! Why does no one see that? First it was Tsuru, then Sengoku, now you! I was a marine first, father second!" Newgate growled in rage before putting Murakumogiri away in his pocket dimension.

(Insert A Jedi's Fury)

"I'm putting you down with my own two hands Garp. Something that should've been done so many years ago. I may not have been able to put you down while we were human, but I'm going to show you the wrath of a father." Newgate cracked his knuckles before both old dogs of the world of piracy launched at each other.

Shockwaves and clashes on a much grander scale than when Newgate and Luffy clashed could be felt and heard as the two old dogs of piracy clashed. Fear and panic, while normally a good thing down here in Hell, was prominent throughout all of the Pride ring as the demons of Hell watched their Emperor clash with this "unknown" in their mind. It reminded them a lot of when Alastor tried to rise up and overthrow Lucifer and a lot of them were terrified.

The two appeared above the city, hands clenched against each other in a power struggle. "How many others died because of you Garp? Could you have prevented Ohara?" "I don't want to hear anything from a murdering pirate scum like yourself Newgate!" Garp roared as he tried to overpower him, but Newgate held his ground. "Murdering pirate scum. In my early years as part of the Rocks Pirates, maybe. After the Rocks Pirates disbanded, I have never killed anyone. None of my crew, save for that traitor, Teach, have ever killed anyone. Not Marco, not Oden, and certainly not Ace." Newgate's eyes narrowed. "I don't keep track of it all, but you do. The proud marine hero that you are certainly keeps a list of all the "scum" he's put down. So let me start Garp. Rocks D. Xebec, Gol D. Roger, Chinjaro, Shanks. Want to add to that?" Garp growled as he couldn't make Newgate budge. 'How! How is he so much damn stronger now! I used mountains as my damn punching bags, and I beat his ass around at God Valley!'

Newgate, as if reading Garp's mind, chuckled. "How am I so strong Garp? Do you think I've just been sitting on my ass for the last five hundred years? I may run a multi-ring business, as well as having some business in the living world, but don't think I'm not slacking off with my training. I've put down many former Overlords who thought they could rise above their station. Alastor learned his lesson, so I left him live. I'm sure he'll try again in the next hundred years or so, but I know he'll do it just out of "entertainment's sake" as he puts it."

Newgate's eyes narrowed at Garp who had a shocked expression. "You Garp, are outdated. A long-forgotten relic. I'm impressed that you've managed to keep up with my true demonic form, but it ends here." Newgate channeled his tremors through his hands as Garp clenched his teeth, adding in Haki to try and counter it.

"I don't care what happens! As long as everyone here faces justice I'll be redeemed! You think I believe you that those former crewmates of yours are gone? You're just covering for them Newgate! A pirate is a pirate, and all pirates are scum!"

Newgate, tired of Garp's ramblings, let go of Garp's hands before punching him with an enhanced tremor punch that sent him flying out of the city. (much like he did to Akainu) Newgate landed on a rooftop before jumping towards Garp's location and landing on the ground as Garp coughed up blood as he got back up.

"Stand down Garp, Akainu put up more of a fight at Marineford than you are now." "DON'T EVER COMPARE ME TO THAT BASTARD! HE ALMOST KILLED MY GRANDSON, KILLED MY SON!" Garp roared as his hand turned pure black and rushed at Newgate for a punch. Newgate chuckled before doing the same but powering it up with his tremor powers; his hand blood red with red lightning sparking around it.

"So, even here at the end, you still care about them. If you hadn't done all that you did, if you had saved Ace instead of preventing Marco from doing so, I might have let you live." Both fists clashed for only a few brief seconds before Newgate pushed more power into his, causing Garp's arm to be mangled and torn from his body. (End A Jedi's Fury)

The old marine hero screamed in agony at the loss of his arm. Negate pulled Murakumogiri from his pocket space and impaled it through Garp's chest. "I'd tell you to burn in hell, but you have been for the last five hundred years. I only pray that whatever awaits you in the void is merciful to you, Monkey D. Garp." Garp's lips were bloodstained as he hung off Newgate's blade. "S-screw you…. Whitebeard…."

Newgate grabbed Garp's skull with his free hand and crushed it with his pure strength and tremor powers, blood and gore flying everywhere. He dropped the dead body of the old marine to the ground, cleaning his hand and blade as he walked away. A few tears trailed down Newgate's face as he reverted back to his normal demonic form. "Ace…. Roger…I'm sorry that you two trusted a man as vile as him."

Lucifer stood at the edge of the city, worried about the second-in-command of Hell before seeing the large gorilla demon walking back. He sighed out a breath of relief. "Edward you're okay. You hadn't come back after the exorcists left and I was worried they final got to you." Newgate walked past him, a few tears going down his face. "Newgate?" Lucifer looked at him in worry as Newgate stopped.

"Newgate, I'm dying." Roger said with a small laugh, sitting cross-legged. Newgate's eyes widened ever so slightly. "That's why I'm turning myself into the marines. Let them win this last battle, but I won't let them have the last laugh. My death will bring about a new age of piracy." Newgate laughed softly. "Gurarara, only you Roger."

Roger grinned before his grin turned somber as he sat down his bottle of rum. "Newgate, Rogue is pregnant." Newgate, understanding the situation, turned serious. "I'm going to ask Garp to look over her and my child." "That's a bad idea Roger and you know that. He couldn't even take care of his own brat, what makes you think he'll take after yours?" Roger somberly looked down, squishing around the bottle. "It's going to be my last request. I know about Garp and his issues, but I'm hoping he can set it aside. He believes, just like me and you, that no child should be judged by their parents' actions."

Newgate sat up. "If that's the case, why not let me look after them? You know my crew sees everyone in it as family, we won't judge them for that." Roger shook his head, laughing softly. "I want my child to make their own decision on what they want to do. If it can be prevented, I don't want them to follow in my footsteps. If they do set sail, all I ask is that you look after them." Roger sat up and reached out his hand. Newgate took it and shook. "I will Roger, don't you worry." Both men, at the top of the world of piracy, grinned.

"Newgate?" Lucifer once again asked, noticing the tears flowing down his second-in-command's face. "Garp was there." He said softly in a tired, somber tone. "Garp? I thought you took care of everyone from your era down here?" Lucifer questioned in surprise. "He hid. Seems like Hell changes everyone. He waited for an opportune time to make himself known. One of the exorcists that came down, it was Mugiwara, his grandson."

Lucifer's eyebrows raised slightly in recognition. "Ahh, Monkey D. Luffy. Such a good kid, him and Charlotte would've gotten along quite well. Garp thought you were going to kill him, and he stepped in, didn't he?" Newgate nodded mutely. "He admitted to killing Red-Hair in front of Mugiwara. He admitted to a lot of his sins; I suppose he thought if he took me down he would be redeemed. But he failed, both in killing me and failing Ace and Roger."

Lucifer frowned but nodded anyways. "We've got our own work to do. I'll get back to my stuff while I'll let you get back to yours." Lucifer turned to head back before seeing the massive crowd and news vans. "Well, after you're done being hero I suppose you'll get back to work." Lucifer said with a cheeky grin and laugh as Newgate grumbled, being swarmed by the demons he had saved along with the news.

Meanwhile, in the Exorcist HQ

A figure slammed his hand on the desk. "What do you mean Hell suffered minimal causalities in this purge?" The angel gulped in fear. "I-it's just what I said commander! Our exorcists were held back in the Pride ring by a single man. The others sent to the other rings were successful though!" The figure bit on his cigar roughly.

"Archangel Michael wants to eliminate as many forces of Hell that we can. Your training puts our exorcist forces above the strength of the Overlords of Hell; the only ones who could possibly fight them off are the leaders of each ring like Lucifer." The figure grabbed the angel by his shirt. "So how could you possibly screw this up?!"

The angel whimpered, "L-Lieutenant Luffy was seen fighting the protector until his damned grandfather stepped in against the protector." The figure rolled his eyes. "I understand Mugiwara was there, Garp being there is a surprise. WHO DID THEY FIGHT?!" He demanded as the angel squealed in terror. "I-I don't know! He called himself Whitebeard!" The figure dropped the angel by his shirt, growling softly as his cigar was broke. He pulled out another one and stuck it in his mouth. "Edward Newgate. Michael told me that he was there, I figured he'd have fallen when we got reports of Charlotte Linlin and Beast Kaido went down, I didn't think he'd kill them."

His white jacket hovering on his shoulders, he walked over to the holoprojector and activated it. "Archangel Michael, we have a problem." The holographic figure of the archangel appeared. Looking over at the commander of the Exorcist forces, he narrowed his eyes. "Having trouble dispensing justice in Hell, Commander Akainu?"

And there's that! So, Garp is no more along with the rest of the darker pirates of the age. Akainu is in heaven, in sole duty to Archangel Michael. I've had complaints that I'm introducing too many One Piece characters so early, and to that I say: Screw you! This is my story, the only story in the category as of writing this moment. I'll take the criticism with a grain of salt, but know that everything I do, I do for a reason.
