Bell receives a letter. After reading it, he confronts Hestia about his rare skill. He is sure he has a rare skill and is tired of Hestia lying to him. She confirms Bell has a rare skill then explains how he got it and how it works. She does this while updating Bell's status. Bell is furious that Hestia lied to him. He demands Hestia remove her falna from him. Hestia is heartbroken. Bell goes to the guild to retire as an adventurer. He decides to leave Orario and return to his home village. The news of his retirement spreads quickly. Loki familia hears the news then decides to visit Hestia familia and ask for answers.
A week soon passes. Bell returns to his village. He meets up with the sender of the letter; his grandfather Zeus. Zeus saw the dragon 500 km from Bell's village. Zeus gives Bell his falna. They travel to the dragon's location. Arcanum is used for everyone to watch the upcoming battle.
Bell faces the Black Dragon. He dies after the battle. He leaves a scar on the dragon using a fully charged Argo Vesta attack. The sound of a grand bell is heard all over the world. He manages to moderately damage the dragon's other eye. The damage to the eye will be completely healed within 3 weeks. While stabbing the dragon in the eye; he is impaled by the dragons' claws. Noticing Bell is going to die soon the dragon flies away.
Zeus rushes to Bell's side. Bell tells Zeus he only has about 10 minutes left. Zeus uses a magic item that allows the user to increase their voice projection. The person on the other side is able to hear the words through Arcanum mirrors.
Zeus: My grandson only has about ten minutes left so everyone listen to what he has to say. Bell: Looks like my luck ran out Haha. First, Hestia familia I'm sorry for doing this on my own but there's no way I could ask you to throw your lives away with me. Second, Goddess I'm sorry for hurting you. I didn't make you remove your falna because I was mad that you hid my skill from me. I did it because I didn't want you to get involved. Lastly, I found out the weakness of the black dragon. The black dragon can only be heavily damaged and killed by someone with a pure soul. Now that I'm gone there's only one more person left. Aiz Wallenstein you're the only one that can kill the dragon; but not the way you are now. There's something that's holding you back. Zeus: Aiz, Aria's gone. I checked during the fight; her life force has been extinguished. Bell: This is the most important thing I have to say so everyone please listen. I temporarily blinded the dragon's other eye but it will be fully healed in 3 weeks so you have to defeat the dragon in the next 2 weeks. That's all I wanted to say. Farewell everyone. Bell gives one last bright smile then passes on to the afterlife.
