Black Eyes, Angel Eyes

chapter 2

Finally ! it's here. My apologies for taking so long to bring this to you.

enjoy.

I look up at the form's face .His face. His black, raven hair danced in the wind .His eyes .He had black eyes. He popped out his hand from the long sleeve of his black trench coat as black and ominous as his hair. You couldn't tell where his hair ended and where the coat began . They blended into one another .He offered it to me .I forgot that I was on the ground , sitting right on a rain puddle.

Something inside me told me to take that hand and hold it tight as if my life depended on it . Maybe it did . I looked into his eyes ...I couldn't believe it . The eyes I was gazing upon were Amon's . I felt the stream of tears spread down my face and my eyes grow wide .

Without having a chance to say anything or even to embrace him , his hand grabbed mine and he started walking , quickly , as if in a hurry . I was left , stumbling behind him . His water drenched hair tickled my cheeks . I didn't notice how long his hair has grown. Has it been that long? We wove and bobbed through crowds of people . I let out a breath of relief and close my eyes for a moment. I could smell his faint smell of him .I feel a shudder of cold pass through me even if it was in the middle of summer. My cheeks started to go numb and I had a warm feeling of energy ...something from within me awoke from it's dreary sleep. I've never felt anything like it . Is it because Amon's presence...Is this the kind of affect he has on me? I can feel my face burning in embarrassment to what I was thinking.

"Don't look back" he commands . His voice hasn't changed a bit . Still the same rich and deep voice with and edge to it like poison chocolate. "Amon" I say in softly , almost a whisper . "We don't have time, Robin." He turns towards me and gives me a genuine smile . Something I haven't seen in a while, but it fades away as he gazes right behind me.

"Get in front of me" I do as he says , without even thinking twice about it. I trusted Amon . He's the only one I can trust , at this point.

I took a glance behind us quickly , so Amon wouldn't notice it , but I could only see so little since my hood was in the way of my view. The crowd behind us were pushed aside , complaining as the people who were coming towards us were walking as fast as we were . I was so frightened , I didn't notice I was holding my breath .

"Robin" , Amon says . As a question , asking me if I was ok . My answer was a deep breath and my grip on his hand tighten. It's been so long since I've been in the presence of Amon and I loved it.

From a far distance there was a crackling sound of radios and boots stomping on the sidewalk . So much for acting like innocent pedestrians . I wouldn't blame them .We stuck out like a sour thumb , yet no one else sees us. We were suddenly walking on an empty ,sidewalk by abandoned warehouses . The street lights were broken and their bulbs were scattered through out , sparkling like jewels.

Only one street light stood by itself , dim in the night and fog that was beginning to shallow the sidewalk and everything else in its path. I didn't feel right being here . Every time I tried taking in some air to calm myself , all I took it was the heavy fog . Something was wrong ...very wrong.
