Summary/disclaimer: Time for another chapter of Ivy's Flowers. Enjoy the 1500-word chapter. I don't own Pokémon, Nintendo and a few others.

Bramble looked at Ivy who seemed rather bored then anything. She barely looked up from her clipboard, unconcerned with their work, it didn't exactly bother him as much as he believed it should have.

"I'm going to assume these Pokémon have been developing rather interestingly?" Bramble questioned, raising an eyebrow a moment later. "The plant Pokémon seem to have developed rather uniquely compared to the rest of the planet's natural fauna." Bramble added, looking over his notes as Ivy placed her feet in the pool of water, thinking with interest.

"There's been rather unique Pokémon evolution here for the last 4 months." Ivy responded while she leaned back, looking at her Poliwhirl. "I've complied at least 20 stacks of notes which has been sent to the commission. There's not much work to really focus on, you know. I'm usually asleep all day." Ivy added, kicking up some water as she thought about the next thing to say.

Bramble nodded, pondering the study of Pokémon that he had done back in Hoehn. He had worked in that region for a year, maybe 2 or so before deciding to try and look around once, heading off to the next region.

"You know, I've studied a LOT of water Pokémon when I was young." Bramble put, sitting down next to Ivy who looked at the water. "It wasn't easy. They LOVED running through the water, making me worry about each and every single one of them when it came down to it. They made me chase them all over at the moment." Bramble stated while he brushed off his jacket with amusement.

He spun a Pokeball on the tip of his hand, he knew the Pokémon within. It had been with him for years and he loved the Pokémon when he thought about. Bramble was ready to release the Pokémon, show Ivy that there had been in common at the moment. He knew a lot about Pokémon, but this location was unique, he heard a lot about it.

"You like talking a lot, yes?" Bramble heard Ivy question to which he nodded. "There's plenty of things to focus on, but I assume you have a point to this story?" Ivy added while Bramble nodded, curious as to how to tell it.

"My point is this. There's a LOT to study and even if it comes off as REALLY annoying or tedious?" Bramble questioned, raising his eyebrow as he did so. "It's worth it, I wouldn't have chippy if it wasn't for all that suffering, he put me through." Bramble added, crossing his arms with amusement as he set the Pokeball down, looking at it as he did so.

He knew that kippy was going to be annoying. He loved to bug people and that was part of the reason Bramble didn't take him out of the ball much to begin with. It wasn't like he didn't want to, but there was far too much for him for him to worry about the small Pokémon.

That? And he knew kippy loved to tease him like nobody's business and the last thing he needed? A Pokémon who would constantly distract him from his work.

"Kippy?" Ivy questioned, an eyebrow raised in interest as Bramble hummed and dropped his lab coat to sit by the water.

"I had gotten a Mudkip when I was back in Hoehn." Bramble added, pausing to look around with a pause of interest as he looked around. "I don't remember if he evolved when I had left, but I do know that he's rather amusing. I do know he's great, he's really a lot of fun, if a tad bit annoying. He means well, but it's rather fun-loving when you think about it. I don't know what he's doing at the moment, he's just curious at the time, but I'm not sure what he'd do if he got the freedom like that." Bramble put in, gesturing around him a few moments later as he did so.

There was very little when it comes down to it. This was a very big threat for them to face, one which couldn't simply be constructed when he thought about it… But that was still within his work ethic to deal with. Nobody liked dealing with tides of work, but it helped when he considered the countless amounts of research that could be done given the right work, it would just take time. They had plenty of it at the moment and there was going to be untold wondered for them to explore, though he supposed that was not on either of their minds yet.

"Do you ever how much we don't know about Pokémon in the end of the day?" Bramble questioned while he started to brush off his hands, resting himself in the water in front of himself. "There's so much we don't understand that I want to… But I don't know how or even where to really start, you know? It's just so weird when I think about it… So many questions, nothing to really focus upon." Bramble added while Ivy continued to swish her feet through the water, trying to think about the next move at the time.

There was much to reflect upon. Too much to really hope for at this second. Ivy looked at Bramble who seemed busy contemplating something that she guessed she knew at the moment…. She spoke up, turning his attention from his surroundings to her as she spoke up, unsure if there was something to really input at this moment.

"Research is research, there's no way around that." Ivy said, pulling her legs from the water a second later. "To not do it means people would know less about Pokémon, less about creatures they should know because of how talented and skilled at their abilities. It's something I've thought about for years, you know. It's not something you just forget." Ivy added to which Bramble was silent.

Ivy slowly turned and walked inside to get her Pokeballs. She needed company, needed something or someone she could trust at the moment. It would help if there was more to this story, but she imagined it wouldn't really be such at the time, there was too much to research.

Bramble was silent for a minute more, drumming his fingers on his arms as he questioned what Ivy wanted to do. Was she trying to research something he didn't know? His field of expertise wasn't really aimed towards grass Pokémon, unsure what to make of these strange creatures he could only hope at the time that she gave him some form of direction and they dealt with it.

"You're making me want to let you out of the ball, but she doesn't know what you can do." Bramble muttered, looking over the Pokeball. "You'd make a mess, you always make a mess, but maybe that's what might liven things up? I can't tell what the heck to think." Bramble said before sighing and looking at the pool in question.

He was going to regret it, but he'd be damned if he let the Pokémon suffer when it could be playing. Bramble sighed, dropping the Pokeball after pressing the button to let the Pokémon inside out.

"If you break something? You're fixing it." Bramble added, pausing to sit down and cross his arms over his chest as he did so. "I'm going to regret this SO hard, aren't I?" Bramble asked himself, hoping the Pokémon didn't do as much damage as he believed it could go.

He'd be proven wrong, he believed and Bramble would love to have been wrong about his Pokémon. He would love to know Mudkip could learn to grow, to become its own Pokémon so to speak. He didn't want to see the Pokémon locked up, unable to interact with the outside world, but he didn't think Kippy would prove to be ok with remaining out of its ball.

Then again? What did he know, he just happened to be a Pokémon researcher on water Pokémon? Maybe he was wrong about the one Pokémon he owned; he would be ok with knowing there was something he was unsure about if only for it to help in the future.

Bramble sighed as Kippy sprang from his Pokeball. The creature looked around, curious as to its surroundings. Bramble knew something was coming and it was just as enjoyable as before.

Still? He found the Pokémon silly at the moment.
