"Okay. First thing's first. Your superhero name. BLACK DASH, LADY BUG, SCARLETTO, CAT NOIR, whatever. Those are all classic names of superheroes," He pointed out. "And heroines, of course," he added, not wishing to offend his newest recruit.
"hmm… I wonder. I like Lady. But I looooove Dash. And what about Scarletto? Or maybe I can replace that with Scarlet. So… A Dash of Scarlet. I like that. Cool and original. But what about?" I wondered out loud. I grinned suddenly. I knew the perfect name. "Lady Scarlet, at your service!" I announced grandly.
"Perfect, Lady Scarlet." Master Fu exclaimed. "And now let's get rid of your glowing hands."
"you're going to chop them off? Barbaric!" squealed Tikki in shock.
"No, obviously not!" He replied patiently. "We are simply going to find a sort of spell to… well… you know, remove the glow. Not the hands. NOT the hands." He repeated the hand bit twice just in case Tikki had other ideas.
In fact, that was a reminder to me! I had forgotten all about my glowing hands! Suddenly I was paying so much attention to the pulsing light that was shining out of my hand, that I didn't even see Master Fu materialise right in front of me! Great! Master Fu seemed to be not only a miracle box holder but a magician too!
"Can you stop the creepy voodoo stuff like a wizard? Are you a wizard anyway?" I queried.
"no," he replied huffily, "I am NOT a wizard, OR a magician, or anything like that! And this so called 'voodoo' is going to save you from ending up in a lab with needles and whatnot stuck into your arms! And then the lab will cart you off to some place where you'll never return as they'll want to examine this mysterious glow of yours! And then you will never be allowed to go back home to your family as they will conduct all sorts of bizarre experiments on you!"
WOW. This man had a vivid imagination. Still, I wasn't going to let that keep me from asking questions. I was a curious girl!
