Hiya, everyone! This is my first fanfic here at fanficion .net, and I'd thought I should start with an AD fanfic. Enjoy!

Disclamer: I do not own Azumanga Daioh, or anything but my shirt and this fanfic, for that matter.

Note: This FanFic is written in Japanese, and translated into English (just stay with me here). Teachers are Sensei's, and English is what class Yukari teaches. People are (x)-chan or (x)-san. If you don't understand, watch the anime in Japanese with English subs.

This is also written while the gang are juniors.

Chapter 1

Tomo's late, again.

"Oh crap! Sensei's gonna kill me…" I gave my all, and pedaled the bike faster.

"Damn you alarm clock, why the fuck didn't you go off?" Coming over the hillside, I can see the school.

Oh no, dare I ask what time it is? Glancing at my watch, I yell, "IT'S 9:00 ALREADY? I'M GONNA MISS HOMEROOM!" I guided my bike into the rack, and locked the chain. Oh no oh no oh no oh no… I ran up the stairs, flew through the hallways, and to the classroom.

I hear what Sensei's saying through the wall, approaching the door.

"Does ANYONE know what this means? Ah, Chiyo-chan."

I burst into the room. Even though I knew I was late, I was still surprised to see the class in session without me. Strange, considering that I'm late most of the time.

Chiyo had her hand raised, and mouth open.

"Sorry I'm late!" I said, bowing.

"Tomo, this is your 9th tardy this week," Yukari-san scolded. "I'm going to have to-"

The bell rang. "Wow, already? Ok class, see you next week! Adios!" Sensei must have not cared enough to mark my tardy. Yes! I'm in the clear.

"Hey guys! How was English?" This was my way of saying hello. I couldn't care less about English class.

"Ha! You should have been there! Yomi did the funniest thing…" Chiyo-chan answered.

"Oh really? And what exactly did she do?" I noticed that Yomi was blushing.

"She fell out of her chair, half asleep!" Osaka replied for Chiyo.

She was laughing. "Yeah, it reminded of something I did before I was sm…" Chiyo trailed off.

"Before for you were what? Small?" I was shocked. The next thing that hit my mind was too terrifying to think about, but the rest of the gang had caught on too.

"Smart?"
