READ THIS: I just realized I had this chapter typed out and hadn't posted it, his story was on a hiatus, I'm sure this won't be the last but I intend to type loads of chapters out before the next hiatus.
Raven internally rolled her eyes and looks away. She closed her mouth before her questions could leave it. Since she was able to feel emotions, the silence was best to keep the malicious one at bay. There stood Garfield and a woman who stood two inches taller than Raven. A slim figure, pale skin, blonde hair, and blue eyes. An old enemy of Raven's for a superfluous reason.
"Terra, it's been a long time." Kory chuckled nervously, side-eyeing her. She sneakily looks at Raven with a stare. Raven nods at her. "I ran into her last night, she asked about you guys so I brought her." He said in a monotone. He walked past and to Kory to see what she was making, "Oh I'm done cooking, come eat."
"Where have you been, for the past few years?" Dick asked, "I graduated, I'm in now in university for Nursery."
"That's nice," he replied.
There was an awkward silence as Kory fixed their plate. Raven could feel those piercing blue eyes. She wanted to look up and challenge her, she was now in control and had to do better. Right when Raven was about to leave, "So Raven, how about you, how's life, how's Dad, do you have a boyfriend?"
Garfield's eyes narrow at Raven. He had his secret like every other Titan and so did Raven. "Life is great, Dad's okay and a boyfriend? No, but there is a friend I talk to a lot."
Everyone's head snapped towards her, "Who?" Kori yelled excitedly.
They all stared at her, waiting for her answer, and the answer they got WASN'T expected especially Garfield's "Damian."
"My brother!?" Dick was dumbfounded, Garfield's eyes we're still narrowing at Raven, "We are friends, we talk a lot on weekends. Nothing else nothing more." She gets out of her seat with her plate and head to her room. She could feel his eyes on her too, she avoided them, slightly scared of her reaction and his. Why was he so aggressive? And why was he changing after all these years?
They all watched her leave the common room but Richard(Dick) was still traumatized, "My teammate is fucking my brother." He palmed his face
Kory rolled her eyes, "She never said that Dick and even if they were, they are both adults and can make their own decisions."
Terra jumped in their conversation, "I don't know Kory, by the sounds of it, Damian maybe a sneaky link she has on the weekend."
Kory glared at the girl who was only making things worse, Kory wasn't dumb and knew why she asked. Kory looks around the room and noticed the missing green Titans
Where the hell did he go?, She thought.
He had followed Raven to her room and the two were having a normal conversation, "I didn't know you like Damian..."
"I never said that Garfield now moves so I can close my door." The door began to slide put he used his brute strength and forcibly slide it back, almost breaking it. Raven gasped and gulped as she looked up into his stares.
He steps into the doorway and leans on the wall, the darkness in the room made his red eyes pop, "There is no need to lie." His words came out smoothly.
"I'm not lying, me and Damian are friends. What is your problem?!" Raven yelled, Garfield's hand grabbed her jaw, not too hard but not soft either, a firm grip. It resulted in her not being able to talk. While gripping her jaw he moved forwards into the room allowing the automatic door to close shut behind him. He makes sure his face was at her level so they were looking eye to eye, he examined her face and her pupils. His other hand brushed through his hair that covered his eyes. "No need to get angry, I was just joking with you." He smirked.
The Beast.
Raven's breath stops in her throat when his grip got tighter. No, she wasn't hurt but she was stunned, this behavior from him was bizarre and didn't match with who he used to be. He let her go but stays at her level and looked deep into her eyes, "I know you all are watching me. I see you too."
That made her flinch in shock and she felt all her emotions get triggered, all of them. It made her so confused that her bookshelf and desk rattle on the ground like there was an earthquake. A couple of books fell to the group snapping the two out of their staring contest. Raven looked back at her book and when she looked back to see him, he was gone. Her door was sliding close with a hiss and his energy was gone, faintly lingering around her room and out of the door.
Raven quickly placed her plate of food on her desk and jumped on her bed into the lotus position.
"He saw us!?" Bravery yelled.
"But how?" Passion trembled.
Knowledge was quiet, she was looking at the ground, sitting in her thoughts. "It was the Beast."
"Huh?"
Knowledge stands up from her seat, ", As we all know, the Beast is the inner voice, an alternate ego of Garfield. Use Raven, for example, we all are different parts of Raven, we are an embodiment of different sides of her, her personified emotions, we all are her. That could be the same for Garfield. We all know certain things keep us stable, we know why we are here in your (the host aka Gar and Rae) minds. The only thing we don't know is why is he showing up now once more and what is the purpose?"
The Beast and Garfield are the same people in one body, their actions are tied and they both have one motive, different tactics. Like Raven once though, no matter how difficult and brutal the Beast is, that was still Garfield as well and no one can change that, not even Garfield himself. Now, what are their motives, what do they hope to achieve, what is their desire? that would be the most difficult for Raven to find out.
"Maybe it's that girl." Raven looked up acknowledging the shy one, "What?"
They all acknowledge Timid differently than the rest, they listen but don't look at her, or she would be fearful to talk, "That Rock girl he brought here, she may be what he was after."
"It can't be if that was he would have been calmer than usual when feral animals or humans as well get what they desire, they are usually calmer, happier than they were before they but again, we know nothing about The Beast, Timid may be right."
Raven opened her eyes, she looked over at her clock, it had just turned 12:25. She steps off the bed and heads towards the common room. The city had been silent and half peaceful for a while, no crime that would be a superhero worth...
The next morning Dick had multiple announcements. "The first announcement is, Terra is joining the Titans and we new members joining the Titans—" Everyone was okay with that. It didn't bother anyone...
"And we have two Titans who are leaving."
"What?" Raven said lowly. Cyborg stood up and walked next to Dick. "The Justice League would like me to join them." Raven got an outburst of emotions towards her, sadness and happiness. She looked over as Garfield stared at Cyborg who stared back. Raven was nervous, she wasn't sure how the green titan would react. She watched him closely, He stood and walked up to him and they both hugged. "Congratulations," Garfield said, with tears in his eyes. Raven smiled. The two were close and nothing would change that. Kory had already known about Cyborg and Dick leaving, she accidentally heard them talking about it. She and Raven congratulated the man and looked back to Dick for the second part of the news. "I have decided to take being Nightwing a little more serious. I have multiple missions that I have been called to do and decided that it was time to take them. I have to leave as soon as possible and Cyborg should be leaving im the next four days." It was sad and they were happy for the two Titans, they grew up together. "Who is the new Titan?" Terra asked. Dick gulped and Raven could see him look over at her for a short time and back at the other. She could make a good guess who one of them was.
The elevator door opened, revealing two men. Raven smiled at one, she had known him a while. He smirked back at her. "Damian Wayne, aka the new Robin and Bruce Wayne's son and sidekick as we all know" Dick finished, Raven said nothing and just pretended not to notice the awkward eyes on her. Kory walked over to Damian, who she had already met years ago when they had to deal with Trigon. Damian was adverse to Kory at first but came to like her as time went on. "Nice to see you again Kory."
"Likewise." She smiled, "Your brother has told me about your adventures while with the League of the Assassins. It seems challenging."
"It can be but I can deal." Damian was now an adult, he was taller and voice deep. His tone was usually authoritarian without him noticing. Raven finally decided to speak. "Hello, Damian." She stood. The others watched to get an analysis of their previously unknown relationship.
"Hello, Beloved."He winked at her, " I assume our weekend activities will resume." Kory's eyes widen, she didn't know what 'weekend activities' meant and she knew Dick was dying inside.
"Of course." Raven nods.
"I will show you your room," Dick said awkwardly. "Thank you, brother, but I would like Raven to take me. We have something important to discuss." Raven felt the shift in his emotions. Whatever it was, it was serious. She walks to the hallways leading him to his room.
The room was tense, they weren't sure what they had just witnessed. Dick laughed awkwardly and looked at the others only to realize. "Oh, my fuc– where is Beast Boy?"
