AN: And we are back with another chapter! Thank you all so much for the support on the last chapter it really means a lot. Also I like to apologise for this late update but I started university again and have been a bit behind, hence why this chapter is shorter than the others. I didn't want to go another week without updating so here you go. Anyway sorry again and without further adieu let's just jump into it!

Now What?

Ochaco walked down the halls of the hospital, making it to the waiting room she sat down with bandages around her arms. Taking a deep breath Ochaco sat down, "Finally able to relax?"

Turning Ochaco was met by Mirio who was badly injured during the fight. "Yeah, the doctor says I may have a slight healing factor but I should still rest. It's been two days and I'm still stuck here."

Mirio nodded, "At least your wounds are healing up. But it's good, do you mind if I?" He motioned towards an empty seat two spots down.

Ochaco shook her head, "Go ahead."

"Thanks." Slowly Mirio began to sit down. Finally adjusting his cast he managed to sit down.

The two then sat in silence, "I'm sorry about Sir Nighteye…" said Ochaco.

"Yeah, I'm sorry too. But thanks to his and your efforts we managed to save Eri. That's all Sir ever wanted." Said Mirio, giving a small smile. "Speaking of Eri, where is she?"

Ochaco frowned, "With Izuku. It's been two days and nights and she still refuses to leave his side."

"Why aren't you there now?" asked Mirio.

"Those two need some time together right now. Besides, I needed to talk to Recovery Girl about something." explained Ochaco.

"Recovery Girl? What for? Like i said your injuries are healing up aren't they?" asked Mirio, confused.

Ochaco nodded, "Yes but it's something else…"

Flash Back

Ochaco laid on the bed with Recovery Girl sitting beside her, "Since when have you noticed?" asked Recovery Girl.

"Ever since Izuku gave me his blood." Ochaco turned to the hero. "I was never like this before, could it be a side effect?"

Recovery Girl thought about it, "It's a possibility, Izuku's blood is special so we don't know it's full extent now."

Ochaco looked at her hands, "If this is permanent…. I don't want to turn out like…"

But Recovery Girl assured her, "You won't, come meet me once a week. I'll evaluate you and monitor your progress."

Ochacho nodded, "Okay…"

"But let me know if you become any more angry or less emotional." With that, Recovery Girl allowed Ochaco to leave.

Present

"What about Midoriya? Why hasn't he healed up?" Asked Mirio.

"He doesn't have a healing factor. They hit Izuku with a quirk-erasing bullet and he is currently not healing." Explained Ochaco.

Mirio looked at the ground, "Any hope of it coming back?"

Ochaco shrugged, "No idea, at this point all we can do is wait and see." However as they sat around and talked Eri suddenly appeared running as she turned the corner. "Eri? What's wrong?"

"It's dad, he's awake! Come on, we have to go." Eri then grabbed Ochaco's arm and pulled her up. The two then ran down the halls with Ochaco barely able to keep up. Making it to a room they found Izuku awake, but barely. "Dad, I brought her."

Izuku laid on the inclined bed with his eyes still not fully open, "H-Hey, Ochaco." he said in a weak voice.

That surprised Ochaco, he never spoke in this manner, he was always proud and made sure his voice was heard. "Hey, how are you feeling?"

Izuku raised his arm, "Better, body hurts like hell though."

"Better? You're lucky to be alive!" said Recovery Girl walking into the room. "Those stab wounds would have killed any normal person."

Izuku smirked, "Guess I'm not normal then."

"Yeah, that was my fault." said Eri. "Sorry about that dad."

"Hey it's fine kid, you weren't in control. Besides, I don't blame you for what happened." said Izuku as he patted Eri on the head.

"But still, without your healing factor…" Ochaco looked at Izuku with sadness in her eyes.

Izuku nodded, "I know, unless I want to bleed out I have to keep my claws in."

That's when Recovery Girl spoke, "There is also the fact that…"

However before she could finish that sentence Izuku cut her off, "The fact that I am still recovering."

The two gave each other looks, after a few tense seconds Recovery Girl sighed, "Just take it easy will you? You should be healed up after I use my quirk on you."

"Thanks RG, I hate hospitals." Izuku was then kissed on the cheek by Recovery Girl. His wounds healed slowly but ultimately they closed up.

"Now I suggest you rest at UA, that is, if you still want to go back." Said Recovery Girl.

Izuku looked over at Ochaco, "At first I wasn't planning too, but…" he then looked at Eri. "It would be the perfect place to train and look after Eri. That is, if that's what she wants."

Eri pointed at herself, "I get to decide?"

Izuku took a knee in front of the young girl, "You bet you do, you are now Eri Midoriya and no one makes our choices for us."

"What is this UA like?" Asked Eri.

That's when Ochaco joined in, "It's a school Eri, I'm in the hero department. We learn how to become real heroes and save people. There are some strange people but overall everyone is pretty nice."

"My experience went a bit different but Ochaco is right. Look I won't force or let anyone else force you to come with us. But if you stay, I can teach you a lot of things. And I bet there are some things you can teach me. So what do you say kid?" Still kneeling down, Izuku offered Eri a hand.

At first Eri hesitated but slowly but surely she reached out and grabbed his hand. "As long as I'm with you I'll follow you anywhere."

Izuku smiled, "Good, let's go then. Mom is going to flip when she finds out I have a kid."

Ochaco giggled, "Oh I bet she will but it's my parents that you should be afraid of."

"Right, your dad…" said Izuku as he remembered back to a certain day. "We should really explain things properly."

As the three of them walked out of the room and down the halls they were surprised to see Nezu standing there at the exit. They walked up to him and stopped, "Nezu." Said Izuku.

"Midoriya, good to see you're still with us." Said Nezu with a smile. "And you must be Eri, I'm Nezu, principal of UA."

Eri sniffed the air, "I don't like the way you smell, you smell, untrustworthy."

Izuku laughed, "Untrustworthy yes, stupid, maybe, but he also for some reason kept the police off my back again. Why?"

"Think of it as a gesture of good faith. I really didn't have any intention of making you a hitman. We needed someone who was willing to do what others wouldn't, we needed the Wolverine. I know our relationship is hanging on by a thread but if you could just…" as Nezu was speaking Izuku, Eri, and Ochaco walked past him.

Izuku stopped beside the mouse/bear thing, "I may not trust you, but I do slightly respect you. If you want to make it up to me then help Eri, I'll go back to UA but only if she becomes a priority."

Nezu closed his eyes, "I'll put UA's name on it, she will be on my priority list. There's a car waiting for you outside to take you back to the UA Dorms."

Izuku then placed a hand on Nezu's shoulder, "Good, if there's nothing else I'll be going now."

"Before you go, I'd like to speak with you later. It's regarding what we found or rather didn't find on the Yakuza's hard drives." That piqued Izuku's interest.

"Alright, I'll swing by your office soon." With that, the three of them packed into the car and drove off to UA. A few minutes later they arrived at UA but as soon as Izuku got out of the car he was hugged.

Izuku smiled, "Hey mom."

Crying into his chest was Inko, "Izuku! Are you alright? I wanted to go see you but the police told me to wait here at UA. What about Ochaco is she alright?"

"Mom! It's okay, I'm fine, Ochaco is fine. Just had a close call is all." explained Izuku. Inko calmed down, "Although I do have something to tell you. But please don't try to overreact."

Inko steadied herself, "At this point Izuku my nerves are made of steel. Nothing you say or do now will surprise me."

Izuku looked at Ochaco then back to his mother, "Well, alright then. Mom, I'd like you to meet Eri." Stepping out from behind them was Eri.

Inko smiled, "Hello Eri, it's nice to meet you."

"Mom, Eri is my daughter." said Izuku. Inko froze up. "Mom?"

"I'm sorry Izuku I must have misheard you, what did you say?" asked Inko.

"Eri is my daughter." Izuku repeated.

Inko looked at Eri then back at Izuku, she did this a couple of times before she noticed how similar they looked, "B-But that's not possible…"

"It's true mom, I'll explain everything later but believe me when I say that Eri is my daughter." said Izuku placing a hand on Eri's shoulder.

Inko staggered back, "B-But she has to be at least 6 years old! When did you and Ochaco…"

Ochaco turned red, "T-There's no way! Inko we'll explain but please sit down first."

With her head spinning and her thoughts bundling up, Inko suddenly fell backwards, "Mom!"

Izuku tried to reach out but found that Eri had already gotten to Inko and kept her up, "She's nothing like you dad." said Eri.

"Trust me kid, I was like that before. But forget about that, let's take her inside," With that the group went inside. Once Inko woke up Izuku began to explain it all, what happened to Eri, to Overhaul, and with his powers.

By the end of it Inko was shocked to say the least, "Honestly, it's all so much to take in. But I'm glad this little one is safe now. What are you going to do now? With Eri and your powers?"

"Eri is going to stay here at UA where I can train her. As for my powers….I don't know, I could die now." said Izuku as he looked at his knuckles.

Ochaco then placed a hand on his hand, "We'll figure it out, we always do."

Izuku smiled, "Yeah, I guess we will."

"And while you do that I want you to do one thing, Izuku." said Inko in a serious voice. Izuku turned to his mother, "No more fighting, I put up with all the injuries because you healed. But now that you don't have it, I want you to promise me that you won't fight anyone."

Izuku looked his mother dead in the eye, "I promise mom."

Inko nodded, "Good."

A Few Days Later

Class 1A was busy, for they had the UA's school festival to worry about in a few weeks. This year class 1A was going to perform live in front of the whole school. The class asked Izuku if he wanted to join in but he refused saying that he liked staying out of the spotlight. Besides he was busy helping Eri, and she needed the help.

Eri was adjusting to life in the dorms and Izuku was adjusting to life without fighting, without his healing powers. For now though, he was happy teaching Eri how to properly control herself. She had the skill but she was lacking control. In the training ground Eri stood in the middle with her eyes closed.

Suddenly all around her human targets appeared surrounding her. Snapping her eyes open, Eri suddenly popped her claws and jumped at one of the targets. Slashing down she sliced it in half before jumping at another one. She jumped on the head of one, with one arm she pulled its head to the side and stabbed into its neck with her claws.

Eri did this for all 24 targets and all 24 fell within 1 minute. With the last target down Eri once again stood in the middle and retracted her claws, "How was that?"

Izuku then appeared, and turned off the simulation. "Your good kid, I'll give you that." Eri felt a bit of pride when Izuku said that. "But, you are too focused on the kill shots. When you go in for the kill you leave yourself wide open for a split second."

Eri frowned, "Doesn't matter the person would be dead before they find a way to exploit it."

Izuku scoffed, "You sure about that? What if someone is faster than you? You can only rely on your healing powers for so long. We aren't immortal Eri, we can die just like anyone else."

Eri turned, "Yeah whatever, you're just saying that because you lost your healing powers."

"Listen brat if you want any hope to…" However as Izuku was about to scold Eri he suddenly began to cough violently. Eri turned to find Izuku falling to his knees and covering his mouth with his hand.

Eri quickly ran to his side, "Dad! What's wrong!?"

After a while Izuku stopped coughing, "I-I'm fine…" he said, removing his hand.

Izuku quickly put his hand down in hopes Eri wouldn't see, but instead she smelled. "What's on your hand?" Eri asked.

Hiding his hand Izuku looked at her, "Nothing."

Eri narrowed her eyes, "Bullshit." with a quick motion Eri grabbed his arm and forced his hand open. There in bright red was blood, "What's going on?"

"Nothing, I'm fine." Said Izuku standing up.

"Again bullshit. You look terrible, come on, let's get you to RC." Said Eri.

But Izuku waved her off, "I said I'm fine."

He tried to walk but as soon as he took a few steps he suddenly began to wobble. Eri grabbed his side holding him up, "We are going to Recovery Girl, now."

With nothing to say back Izuku slowly made his way towards the nurse's office with Eri's help. They walked in and Recovery Girl immediately knew what this was about, "Put him on the bed."

Complying Eri helped Izuku onto the bed, "What's wrong with him?"

Recovery Girl was about to answer when Izuku cut her off, "Don't tell her."

"She's going to find out eventually." Argued RC.

"Not now." Said Izuku.

"Okay you either tell me now. Or I go bring mom into this." Threatened Eri. In the time they spent together Eri began to look at Ochaco as her mother. Ochaco found this flattering and played along.

Izuku grunted, "Fine, I'll tell you. But after the school festival. I don't want to bring down the mood for Ochaco or the class."

Eri nodded, "Fine, but after you will tell us. And seeing as you don't want me here, I'll just leave. Look for me in the gym with mom."

With that Eri walked out of the nurses office. "Wait, don't talk yet. She can still hear us." Said Izuku as they waited in silence.

After a few seconds Izuku nodded, "Okay we're good."

"You need to tell them." Said Recovery Girl. "Your condition is getting worse. Soon we'll have to find a way to extract it."

"We both know that's impossible without my healing powers." Argued Izuku.

"Still there's a 0.5% chance you'll live. We can prepare and hopefully..." but as RC explained Izuku cut in.

"I won't risk my life for that small of a chance. Just tell me, how long before it gets worse?" Asked Izuku.

"At the pace you're going, a few weeks. After 3 months…. I don't get it, you shouldn't be worsening this quickly." Said Recovery Girl as she flipped through her notes. "There was no trace of it before."

"When I had my healing powers it must have been working 24/7 holding it all back. Now that I don't have it anymore it's spreading faster." Deduced Izuku. "Anything we can do to slow it down?"

"As far as I know, no." Said Recovery Girl. "Unless we find some with your blood and same quirk it might be impossible."

Izuku then looked at the door, "We do have one person."

A Few More days later

Izuku was feeling a lot better, he had more energy and was even helping class 1A with their act. He may have lost his healing powers but Izuku was still strong. If it wasn't for that Izuku wouldn't even be able to move with so much Adamantium in his body, "Hey Momo! Where do you want this?" Asked Izuku as he lifted up several steel beams.

"Those are leftovers, take them outside please." Instructed Momo.

Izuku nodded and began to walk with the beams like they were nothing. Once outside Izuku threw down the beams, as he did he felt a soreness on his arms. "Damn…."

"Getting worse?" asked someone in a tree.

Looking up Izuku found Eri perched up on a branch, "What are you doing up there?"

Jumping down, Eri landed in front of him, "Making sure you don't collapse again."

Izuku's expression turned stern, "I won't."

Eri raised an eyebrow, "Yeah? Then why did you have Recovery Girl make a serum to help slow down the effects from my blood." Izuku didn't respond, "Have you told mom yet?"

"No, not yet…" said Izuku, looking away.

"You have to tell her." But deep down Eri knew he wouldn't. "Tell her, or I will."

Izuku glared at Eri, "You wouldn't."

Eri then stepped up to Izuku, "What are you going to do, stop me? Please, your body is too weak."

With that Eri turned her back on Izuku and began to head towards the door, but just as she was about to reach the handle a hand touched her shoulder. Eri turned slightly,, "You sure you want to do that?"

Eri then suddenly felt the grip on her shoulder tighten before feeling herself being thrown to the side. Smacking against the tree Eri grunted as branches fell around her, "Alright fine."

Grabbing one of the branches, Eri threw it at Izuku to which he dodged. The two then looked at each other before charging. As they ran at each other Izuku suddenly stopped and kicked dirt into the air. Eri quickly closed her eyes but in that split second Izuku appeared from the dirt and punched Eri hard in the stomach.

The impact was enough to force Eri off the ground, but Izuku wasn't finished. As she was suspended in the air Izuku raised his elbow and brought it down onto her back. Slamming against the dirt Izuku stood over the girl, "Stay down, I don't want to hurt you."

Eri used her hands to push herself slightly off the ground, "Funny, I was just about to say the same thing to you."

Turning, Eri swung her legs and knocked Izuku off of his balance. As Izuku hit the ground he looked to see Eri's fist aiming for his head, instinctively Izuku tilted his head. Eri's fist missed but Izuku couldn't do much before Eri suddenly grabbed him by his shirt and proceeded to headbutt him over and over again. "She has a right to know! Didn't you tell me that this school kept secrets from you!?"

After a few hits Izuku growled as he grabbed Eri's face and threw her off of him. Now separated, the two looked at each other, Izuku had blood running down his nose while Eri had blood running down her lip that quickly healed. "Some things are better not known. I'm protecting her!"

Eri spit on the floor, "Bullshit, you're protecting yourself. You're scared aren't you? Scared that now you can die."

Izuku gritted his teeth, "Shut up…"

Eri continued, "Scared that you'll die and leave her. Leave me..."

"I said shut up!" That's when Eri heard a SNIKT sound. Izuku had just popped his claws.

Eri flinched at the sight of blood running down his claws and hands. "I should have known that violence was the only way to get you to listen. Fine, you want to go for real? Let's go!" Throwing her hands to her side Eri too popped her claws.

The two ran at each other yelling and snarling, both threw their claws forwards ready to stab into each other. But just as metal could meet flesh someone got in between them. Aizawa appeared, grabbing Izuku's arm and twisting them down causing his claws to stab into the ground. Simultaneously, he grabbed Eri's wrist and managed to get it under his arm and lock it in place.

"Alright, I think you two should both calm down." said Aizawa looking at the two.

Izuku and Eri exchanged one final look before retracting their claws. Aizawa nodded, "Good, now care to explain what that was all about?"

"Don't worry about it." said Izuku as he turned to leave, blood still dripping from his hand and nose.

Aizawa turned to Eri, "It was just a sparring match."

"Right, well you almost killed each other during this sparring match. If you don't want to tell me the real reason, that's fine, but make sure it doesn't happen again. Got it?" Warned Aizawa.

Izuku didn't respond as he walked away, "Hey Midoriya, go to Recovery Girl and have her heal that."

Nodding slightly, Izuku then walked towards the nurses office. Eri watched as Izuku walked into the building, grabbing her arm her eyes softened, "Idiot…" After a short walk Izuku made it to the office and walked inside. He didn't find Recovery Girl, but he did find a note saying that she would be back in a few.

"Guess I better wait then. I should clean this wound first, they're starting to sting." Said Izuku as he walked towards the cabinet to find disinfectant.

Going through the drawer he found a bottle of disinfectant and some gauze pads. Sitting down on the bed he began to dip the cloth but couldn't get the angle to place it on himself. "God damnit, come on. If I just had my stupid healing factor I wouldn't be doing this."

"Need some help?" Asked someone from the doorway. Izuku turned to find Ochaco standing there.

Walking in she grabbed the pad and placed it on Izuku's bleeding knuckles. Izuku winced in pain as the cut burned, the two then sat in silence for a few seconds. "Well, aren't you going to ask me?" Said Izuku.

"About what?" Asked Ochaco calmly as ever.

"About what happened…." Said Izuku as Ochaco began to bandage up one of his hands.

"I know you and Eri fought, I just don't know why." Explained Ochaco, as she cleaned up and bangeged up his other hand. "I know you've been taking something these last couple of days. Look if something is bothering you it's okay to tell me…"

"I'm dying." Said Izuku, interrupting her.

Ochaco dropped the bottle and gauze pads, "W-What?"

"I'm dying Ochaco." repeated Izuku.

Ochaco was stunned, "How? Why?"

"It's the adamantium inside, it's poisoning me." Explained Izuku. "It's poison is rapidly making its way through my body and eating me from the inside out. Best estimates give me a few months, if I'm lucky."

Ochaco balled her fist, "That's impossible, the progress is just too fast. There's no way it's spreading that fast."

"It's because I had a healing factor. It kept healing my body every second of every hour non stop. And now that the healing has stopped it's finally taking over." Explained Izuku.

"Since when have you known?" Asked Ochaco.

Izuku looked away, "A while now."

"Why didn't you tell me? We could have done something, talked to someone." Said Ochaco, her voice now breaking. "I won't let you die Izuku, I just won't. There has to be something we can do."

Izuku reached out and grabbed Ochaco's hand, "I've looked for a solution Ochaco, but believe me when I say there isn't one. And if I'm being honest, I'm scared. After everything I've been through I think this is the first time I've felt genuine fear. I'm scared for tomorrow, the next day, and the day after that. I'm scared that one day soon I won't be by your side. That I will leave you."

Tears were now falling from Ochaco's face, she then threw her arms around him and placed her head on his chest. "I won't accept that! There has to be something we can do! And it's okay to be scared Izuku, we all get scared."

"I've tried Ochaco, Recovery Girl can't help me. We even tried to use Eri's blood as an antidote but all it does is slow the spread but that's about it." Explained Izuku.

"Someone has to be able to help you." Said Ochaco.

Izuku thought about it, "There is one person."

"Who!? If we find them then maybe they will help you." Said Ochaco happy that there was at least some hope.

"The person who started it all. The man who created me,….the doctor." Said Izuku, a look of horror fell over Ochaco. "But my healing powers will be the least of our troubles if the doctor gets his way."

Ochaco raised an eyebrow, "What do you mean by that?"

Getting up Izuku looked at the window, "Alright no more secrets, there was another reason why I left after I found out what UA wanted to do with me. Eri was just a test."

"A test? What kind of test?" asked Ochaco.

"From what I could tell Eri was meant to a be trial run to see if human cloning was possible." said Izuku.

Unknown Location

In the same time span that Izuku was at UA, the doctor was hard at work completing All For One's final plan. Surrounded by several test tubes filled with water the doctor typed away on a computer. "No no no, it's all wrong! The genome is not supposed to look like this. If I can just get this working with this and this with that. Then we'd be one step closer."

"Doctor, this is it. If this plan doesn't work then we lose." said Shigaraki.

"I know that! But altering DNA is hard, and Izuku's just makes it harder." Explained the doctor, frustrated.

"How long will this take?" Asked Shigaraki.

"Once I get the genome done things will move fast. The first one will take the longest but after that it should be like a printer." Responded the doctor.

Shigaraki smiled, "Get to it then. If we can't take down Izuku, then a whole army of himself will." He then looked at the tubes, "Doctor, do you need test subjects?"

"Yes, a lot of them actually. The fastest way to perfect results is trial and error. But they would have to be quirkless, the same as Izuku was before he got his powers." Explained the doctor.

"Interesting…." Shigaraki then reached into his pocket and pulled out a small box. Opening it up he revealed the remaining of the quirk erasing bullets. "If the first one didn't work, we can always make more."

AN: Dun Dun DUN! So this was a short chapter, but I didn't have much time to write. Anyway I think this story is just about done, don't know how many chapters left but were are in the last act. But I am going to follow one comic and I think you'll like it. Anyway if you have a theory let me know what it is? So in the meantime stay safe!
