AN: Here we go! One final chapter, thank you. Just thank you. For everything!
Aftermath
Three days had passed since that fateful day where Izuku died, and the unfortunate task of telling Inko was given to Ochaco. During those three days Ochaco had locked herself in her room and refused to leave or even let someone inside. Everyone from class 1A tried and failed to get her to come out but with the same results.
But on the second day they noticed someone was gone, Eri was nowhere to be seen. The class asked the teachers to find her but they already knew what happened to her but refused to tell anyone. However, they had other, more pressing matters. Like who was going to tell Inko what had happened.
That job would eventually fall on Ochaco, who only stepped out of her room when she heard them talking about who was going to do it. There was talk of letting All Might go but Ochaco insisted. Walking up to Inko's apartment, Ochaco prepared herself. Now standing in front of the door she knocked, "Coming!" Said Inko from the other side of the door. Opening it she was surprised to see Ochaco standing there. "Oh Ochaco dear, what a wonderful surprise, I wasn't expecting you. Please, come in."
Inko warmly invited Ochaco in where she sat down at the table. "I don't see Izuku with you, did he stay at the dorms?" Asked Inko. "Oh where are my manners, I should get you some tea."
Turning to leave, Inko was about to prepare the tea when Ochaco grabbed her arm by the sleeve. "It's fine Inko really. But there's something I need to tell you, it's about Izuku…"
Inko's eyes widened, "He's dead isn't he, Izuku…."
Ochaco nodded as tears ran down her face. "Yes…."
Shocked by the news, Inko grabbed the wall in order to keep herself upright. "No, not my Izuku. He knew, he knew…"
"What do you mean he knew?" Asked Ochaco.
Inko steeled herself, "A few days ago Izuku came over and started talking about how he was happy that I was his mother. He, he forgave me for everything. I didn't know what he was doing at the time, but I eventually figured it out. He was saying goodbye."
Ochaco went over and hugged Inko, the two now cried as they let everything out. One had lost a love, the other had lost a son. 30 minutes later, the two calmed down enough to sit on the couch. "I'm sorry Inko. If only I'd been stronger, I could have…"
But Inko stopped her there, "Then the two of you could have died. And that's something I know for sure Izuku wouldn't have wanted." Ochaco nodded, "Good, there's one more thing I haven't told you about his visit."
Getting up, Inko walked over towards a nightstand and opened the drawer. Digging around she eventually came out with two letters. Turning she gave one to Ochaco, "Izuku gave me these before he left. I think he would want you to read it."
Ochaco grabbed the letter, looked at it and noticed that her name was on the front and it was definitely Izuku's writing. "Thank you Inko. I'll read it back at UA."
Nodding Inko then gave Ochaco the second letter, "This one is for Eri. I see she didn't come with you, so can you give it to her?"
"Of course." Answered Ochaco.
"Thank you. Where is Eri by the way?" Asked Inko.
Ochaco sighed, "She's coping in her own way."
With Eri
Deep within the mountains Eri stood on a branch and lurked in the leaves. Down below two men walked through the forest before reaching the clearing. Making it to the cliff side they saw Izuku's body covered in adamantium, "There it is." Said one of the men.
"So the rumors are true, the body of a young boy covered in metal overlooking a cliff that's worth millions of dollars. If we can take it and sell it, we'll be rich!" Said the other. "Come on, let's get this thing out of here."
The two then quickly made their way towards Izuku. They tried to push it but found that it was too heavy. One of the men had an elastic arm quirk but that too proved useless. "Man, this thing is heavy. I don't think we'll be able to get it out of here." Said the man out of breath.
"No, but I think we can push it off. Hopefully it cracks and we can collect the pieces." Explained the other.
The other man agreed and both went behind Izuku and began to push. The two strained themselves as they tried to move it. But before Izuku could be moved two claws stabbed into the back of one of the men.
"What the hell!" Yelled the other as he turned to find Eri.
Throwing the man on her claws to the side she quickly jumped up and using her claws on her foot, sliced the neck of the other.
Both men fell to the ground dead as Eri retracted her claws. "Pieces of trash."
Walking back into the forest Eri disappeared into it. The area after the battle was destroyed, but with the help of a nature quirk the area was restored to its natural beauty.
In the three days Izuku had died several people had come to try and steal the adamantium. But Eri was always there to stop them, permanently.
The heroes tried to talk to her, but everyone who got close came out running from the forest. Eri wanted to be alone.
5 days later and Eri was still in the woods. Surviving off of animals she would hunt, Eri still wanted to be alone. It was only until one night things changed. As she cooked her food Eri suddenly caught the smell of someone approaching. "I figured you'd show up here eventually." Said Eri sitting down on a log looking at the fire.
Appearing from the trees was Ochaco, "Eri."
"Mom. What are you doing here?" Asked Eri.
"I'm here to bring you back. Everyone's worried about you." Explained Ochaco.
Eri scoffed, "They shouldn't be. I still have my powers and I'm not the one who died."
Ochaco took a seat beside Eri, "Is that how you see Izuku now? Someone who just lost their powers and died."
Eri shook her head, "No, I see him as a liar."
Ochaco's eyes widened, "W-What? How can you say that?"
"It's the truth. Dad promised that he'd always be with us, with me. And now look at him, dead, just like everyone else. Guess he was just the same as everyone else, a filthy liar." Said Eri.
But that's when Ochaco got up and slapped Eri across the face. "Don't you dare say that about Izuku!" Yelled Ochaco with tears in her eyes. "I get you're grieving, I am too, but that doesn't give you the right to insult him!"
"No right? No right!" Yelled Eri standing up. "I have every right! I trusted him, more than anything or anyone in this world. He told me I was more than a weapon meant to kill him. He told me I could live a life with him by my side. And where is he now!?"
Eri turned away, "I had no past, and now with him gone, I don't have a future. Dad lied to me mom, he should still be alive."
Ochaco looked at Eri, "You're not angry at him are you? No, you're angry at yourself for not being able to save him. You think this is your fault, don't you?"
With her back still turned, Eri began to cry, "Of course it's my fault mom! If I'd just left earlier instead of waiting for those stupid heroes, I could have saved him. If I just gotten there 10 seconds faster into that stupid compound I could have saved him. If just killed the professor before he took that damn formula, dad would still be here. I hesitated Mom, when dad told me to kill him, I hesitated. I had never done that before, why did I do it then? Why? Why? Why!?"
Rushing over Ochaco hugged Eri from behind, "It's not your fault Eri. It's not your fault, you hear me? It's not your fault. Izuku made his choice, we may not understand why he did it, but he did. Izuku knew there was a chance he wouldn't make it out, but he went anyway to make sure he took down the doctor. He did it for us."
Eri turned and buried her face into Ochaco's body, "I'm so sorry mom! I'm so sorry!"
Ochaco stood there and gently stroked Eri's hair, "Shh, it's okay. Let it all out, I'm right here."
UA: Meeting Room
All Might, Nezu, Aizawa, Present Mic, Midnight, and several other teachers and heroes, along with Naomasa for the police all sat down around the table. There was only one thing on the agenda today and that was Izuku.
No one wanted to speak, so everyone just sat there not saying anything. That is until Aizawa spoke up, "If no one is going to say it then I will. We owe our livelihood to Midoriya. What he did that day without a doubt saved everyone. Lemillion was the one who took down AFO but it was because of Midoriya. He was a true hero."
Nezu nodded, "and I believe everyone in this room agrees with you. Midoriya was many things but he had a good heart. Not many of those who faced hardship like he has can say that."
"What now?" Asked All Might. "Midoriya's gone, and we can't even give him a proper burial."
"That is a concern for Inko as well. She has visited the site and has asked us to remove Midoriya's body from within the adamantium." Said Naomasa. "But…"
"It's impossible." Said Aizawa. "The adamantium has bonded with his skin. Our machines don't help since they can't tell where Midoriya starts or where the adamantium ends."
"Inko also has suggested we turn the area into a memorial." Explained Naomasa. "I believe this course will be the best one. We can give the land rights to Inko so she may visit it when she pleases."
All Might agreed, "I have some old friends in government that may be able to help. What of the class? They left the school and put themselves in danger."
"They are all being confined to their dorms and are being watched by others. But the question remains, should they be punished?" Asked Midnight.
"They did help take down AFO. So they deserve some praise, but rules are rules. From what I heard the kids are willing to accept any punishment, as long as they go visit Midoriya." Explained Nezu. "Still, I believe this should be delegated later." The room agreed. "Good, what of the clones?"
Naomasa nodded, "Right, we were able to recover and contain 20 clones. We had them in a secure location but just yesterday all of them died, or rather were killed."
"Any idea on who did it?" Asked All Might.
Naomasa nodded, "Just a description of the person. Short in stature, and with something sharp coming from their hands. Sound familiar."
Aizawa sighed, "Eri. She must have killed them in order to prevent anyone from studying him. Good move if I'm being honest."
"Where is she now?" Asked Nezu.
"With Uraraka. Apparently she's been killing anyone who's gone to the mountain to steal the adamantium." Explained Naomasa. "She also refuses to leave his side."
"She must be feeling guilty about his death." Said Aizawa. "We should send someone out with Uraraka next time."
"Agreed, back to Izuku. One of our students, Honenuki, can soften any material right? What if he uses it on the adamantium surrounding Izuku. Maybe he can get him out." Said Midnight.
The heroes all looked at each other, "That may be able to work." Said Aizawa. "Inko just might have a proper burial for her son."
The following day Honenuki, along with Eri, Inko, Ochaco, and several heroes all made it to the mountain. Stopping in front of Izuku, Eri motioned to Honenuki, "Do anything weird to him and I'll kill you."
Honenuki looked at Aizawa, "She won't do it. Probably. Just give it your best shot."
Sighing, the class 1B student walked over to Izuku and placed a hand on the adamantium coffin. Activating his quirk the crowd around him watched as the metal began to move, "Look it's working!" Said Ochaco.
But just as Honenuki's hand sinked in, something began to go wrong. "I-I can't! The metal is too dense. I can only soften a thin outer layer."
Pulling his arm free, the student breathed heavily, "Sorry, I couldn't do it."
Inko walked over to Honenuki and helped him up, "Thank you for trying. Truly, thank you."
One of the heroes walked him back as Inko walked over and hugged Izuku. "I'm sorry it didn't work, Mrs. Midoriya." Said Aizawa.
"Don't be, it was a long shot anyway. I knew that coming here. I just wished it had worked, I wanted to feel Izuku one more time." Said Inko.
As she mourned Eri balled her fist, "Let me try."
Everyone turned to her, "But your claws can't cut through it Eri." Said All Might.
That's when Ochaco put it together, "She's not going to use her claws. She's going to use her other quirk."
Aizawa's eyes widened, "Absolutely not! You still don't have full control over it. You can't accurately pinpoint Izuku in all of it. If you fail you might erase him from existence."
"I know that! But I still have to try." Said Eri. "Please, I couldn't help him before but at least I can try to help him now."
Walking over to Eri, Inko grabbed her hands, "Do it, but if you feel anything wrong you stop."
Eri nodded, "Right."
"And I'll be ready with my quirk." Said Aizawa.
Walking over Eri placed a hand on Izuku, closing her eyes she began to focus. Taking a deep breath the horn on Eri's head began to grow. Then it began to pulse white light. It started off slow but soon the flickering light turned solid.
Snapping her eyes open, Eri activated her quirk. A small gust of wind pushed outward as she focused. Eri could feel it, she could feel the metal, feel Izuku under it all. Slowly she began to rewind the metal but it was taking everything she had. Normally rewinding stuff would be easy, but the adamantium was dense at a molecular level. Normal steel or even people weren't. Not only that, Eri had to be careful not to rewind Izuku who was inside the adamantium tomb.
It seemed to be going smoothly as cracks began to appear around the adamantium. But things suddenly took a turn for the worst. Suddenly feeling her powers go into fluks Eri's eyes began to glow white as from her horn white sparks began to jump off. The heroes quickly shielded their eyes, Ochaco quickly moved in front of Inko. "Eri! What's wrong!?"
Eri struggled to talk as she tried to hold herself in check, "D-Don't know…. power increasing. Can't hold on…"
"That's enough Eri, let him go!" Yelled Aizawa.
But Eri refused, "No! I think I almost have it, just a bit longer!"
Soon the energy that was emitting from Eri began to crack the cliff side they were on. All Might watched as the earth underneath them began to shift, "This place is falling apart, Eri you have to stop."
Gritting her teeth and with sweat dripping down her head, Eri stood her ground and put her other hand on Izuku, "Leave if you want, but I'm staying!" Light suddenly began to shine from the cracks around the adamantium.
That's when part of the cliff they were on suddenly gave way and fell. Enough was enough, Aizawa saw the upcoming catastrophe and decided to put a stop to it. "I'm sorry Eri, but I'm ending this before it gets out of hand."
Putting on his goggles, Aizawa was just about to activate his quirk when all of a sudden the adamantium shattered. In the explosion of white the entire cliff side was bathed in white.
Everyone shielded their eyes, waiting a couple of seconds the light dispersed. Everyone turned and what they saw shocked them. In all the confusion and chaos Ochaco had run over towards Izuku. There on her knees and in her arms was Izuku, his body now free from the adamantium.
Tears began to flow as she saw his smiling face, "You big idiot…."
The adamantium tomb had the entire front part exploded off and had a substantial amount of fracturing around it but still kept the outline of Izuku. However, none of that mattered, Izuku was now free from his unbreakable tomb.
Two Weeks Later
With Inko's permission UA was allowed to move the adamantium and place it on a pedestal just as you entered UA. This would serve as a reminder no matter how strong you think you are, no matter how much you fight, you are mortal.
Izuku's funeral was small but intimate, only family, class 1A, and some heroes were allowed to join them.
Inko talked about how her son dreamed of becoming a hero, and that he was a kind hearted person.
Eri talked about how Izuku was a warrior, always ready for a fight, quick to anger, and always looking over his shoulder. But that he was also caring, to her especially. That without him, she wouldn't know where she would be at right now.
Then it was Ochaco's turn, "Izuku was a person with many flaws, but yet, he also had a soft side. When he was here at UA he taught us a lot about fighting. But there was one thing Izuku always had trouble with, and that was admitting that he liked someone. He would act cold but inside he just wanted to be helpful. And in the end, he was. Without him we probably wouldn't be here. Without him we would have never won that day. Without him we are able to live our lives. That's why we won't let our lives go to waste, we will prove not only to ourselves, but to Izuku, that his sacrifice was not in vain. I love Izuku more than anything in the world, but it's because I love him that I will live on."
With those words done Izuku was then taken to a secret burial site. They couldn't bury him in a public cemetery because even in death his body was still with millions.
Burying him in the same woods he hid in when he ran away, Izuku was finally laid to rest. No gravestone marked, only three sharp stone claws were placed. Slowly one by one people left, leaving only Ochaco behind looking at his grave.
That's when Inko walked up behind Ochaco, "It's time dear."
Wiping away a tear, Ochaco nodded, "Right…" as they walked Ochaco turned to Inko. "If there is anything you need Inko, just call and I'll be there."
Inko smiled, "I should be the one saying that to you dear. But thank you, it means a lot coming from you. However, don't worry about me, you still have to become a hero right? You're free to visit him whenever you like. Just promise that when you do become a hero you will come visit him."
2 Years Later
Now a third year student and a bit taller than before Ochaco stood proud as herself and the former class 1A all received their diplomas and hero licenses.
The class was going to have a massive party to celebrate but Ochaco had a promise to keep. Quickly changing, Ochaco ran to the train station where she found a taller Eri waiting for her. "There you are, I was just about to leave you here." Said Eri wearing a green shirt with a black leather jacket and black pants.
Ochaco smiled, "Since when did you get smart with me? I am your legal mom now."
Eri smirked, "Well Mom, shall we get going?"
"Yeah!" With that the two got onto a train that took them to the station nearest to where Izuku was buried.
Walking for a good while, they finally entered the woods. It was only a 5 minute walk to where Izuku was, "So how are things at school Eri?" Asked Ochaco.
Eri shrugged, "Boring mostly, I already know most of the material. I just want to get into UA already and follow in your footsteps. I even have a hero name picked out."
"Oh? What is it?" Asked Ochaco.
"The Wolverine." Answered Eri.
Ochaco stopped, "Eri….Izuku would be so proud of you right now."
"I know mom, I just wish he was here." Said Eri with sadness in her voice.
"Me too Eri, me too. But you have to be careful, once you pick that name your dad's old enemies might show up." Explained Ochaco.
Eri smirked, "Ha! Let them come, I'll take them all down."
Ochaco laughed, "Proud, just like Izuku. That actually reminds me of a time…"
But as Ochaco was speaking Eri's eyes suddenly widened causing her to freeze in place. "Eri, are you alright? Why'd you stop?"
Without blinking Eri's voice trembled as several emotions flooded into her. "N-No, please no…."
"Eri?" Ochaco was about to ask Eri something when she suddenly took off, leaving her behind. "Eri!"
Chasing after her, Ochaco caught up only to find Eri standing in front of Izuku's grave. "What's wrong Eri? Why did you take off like that?"
"I-It's dad, he's, he's gone." Explained Eri.
Ochaco looked down at the grave, only to find it with the dirt upended and the coffin open, "N-No..." Since Izuku's body still had value the school decided to get a specially designed coffin built for him that was almost impossible to break into. But someone or something had ripped the coffin open and tossed the top part away.
Ochaco fell to her knees as she saw inside the coffin, only to find it empty. "H-He's gone…"
"We have to find him, we have to…" said Eri in a state of panic. "We were sure he was dead right?"
"Y-Yes, he was. Recovery Girl even checked him out before we buried him." Said Ochaco. "Just where did he go? Izuku….where are you?"
Eri sniffed the air but couldn't find a trace of him, "Call everyone here, now."
Quickly pulling out her phone Ochaco called UA and gave a brief explanation as to what was going on. Within 30 minutes the entire of the former class 1A all arrived in their hero costumes. All Might, Aizawa, and several top heroes arrived soon after, along with the police.
They were mortified, all signs pointed to someone taking Izuku's body. Since Izuku's body was altered so many times some of the doctors who examined him theorised that his body would take several years to a decade to start decomposing. That means right now someone had his body still intact.
"Who could have done this? No one but us in the class knew he was here, along with Aunty Inko, and some of the heroes." Explained Bakugo.
"Someone must have leaked the location." Said Mina. "That means one of us is a mole. For who is the other question."
Todoroki nodded, "The only ones who would want Midoriya's body was the doctor. Him and…."
"The league…." Said Ochaco.
"But I thought we took them down when AFO was defeated." Said Kirishima.
"They were, all of the members were arrested. The League shouldn't exist anymore." Explained All Might.
"Then this is someone new. Midoriya couldn't have just come back to life and walked away on his own right?" Asked Momo. "Right?"
That's when Recovery Girl walked towards them, "Midoriya was dead, I'd bet my entire career on it."
"Then where the hell is he?" Asked Eri. "It's as if he was never in the damn thing in the first place. No smell, no blood, no nothing."
That's when Mei Hatsume appeared with multiple devices on her back. "Hey guys, I found some old blueprints that I made back during our first year. It lets me search for specific radioactive energy."
Eri raised an eyebrow, "How will that help us?"
"You see, back when Midoriya first lost his powers he came to me and asked for a body scan. So I did just that, but half way I noticed that his radiation levels were off the charts. Midoriya didn't emit radiation before, it was only after he lost his powers that he did. That's when I came up with the assumption that his healing factor was the thing holding the radiation back. But with it gone, it began to poison him. That's why he died, the very thing that made him indestructible, was also the reason he died." Explained Hatsume. "But you see, the type of radiation adamantium gives off is unique. That means I can track it."
"You can tell where all the adamantium is in the world?" Asked Tsu.
Hatsume nodded, "More or less. Alright, let's see here." She then began to type and soon an image of the world popped open. The image had two dots, one where they currently were because of Eri. And the other at UA with the memorial for Izuku. "What? That doesn't make any sense. It says that there are only two adamantium sources in Japan."
"Then if he isn't here, where is he?" Asked Eri. "The US? Canada? Europe?"
Hatsume checked the map only to find nothing. "Nowhere, he's gone."
That's when Eri snapped, "Bullshit! Check again!"
Hatsume checked again but the results were the same. But as they argued on what to do next, a massive energy wave echoed throughout the world.
The energy wave was strong enough to shake the entire Earth. Barely able to stand the group looked around, "What the hell is going on!?" Asked Eri.
Hatsume checked her tablet, "W-What? That shouldn't be possible."
"What is?" Asked Mina as the shaking stopped.
"What we just felt was a cosmic force of energy. I've only read about them in theoretical physics books, I didn't think it would be true. But it looks like the worst is over, we can get back to looking for Midoriya." Explained Hatsume.
But as she lifted her tablet it suddenly began to beep. "Now what?" Asked Eri.
Hatsume was in disbelief, "W-What, there's another signature. And I think this one is Midoriya."
Ochaco looked at Hatsume, "Where!?"
UA
The class took off immediately towards the campus, but as they arrived at the front gate a large explosion erupted from the main walkway.
"Is the school under attack?" Asked Bakugo.
"No! Look." Yelled Todoroki pointing into the sky. "It's Nejire."
Floating in the air the pro hero was firing off blasts at an unknown person. "Nejire! What the hell is going on!?" Yelled Ochaco.
Looking down, the hero found Ochaco and Eri, "Oh thank Christ, you're here Ochaco. He's back, I don't know how but he's back and won't listen to us."
Just then a body came flying out of the smoke, sliding to a stop in front of them. Groaning in pain, Mirio stood up, "Damn, did he get stronger?"
He then looked around to find the class around him, "When the hell did you guys get here? You know what it doesn't matter, Uraraka, you need to stop him. He won't let us get near him."
Ochaco's eyes widened, "So it is him? It's Izuku!"
The dust settled and as it did Izuku stood looking at the adamantium cast of his body. "Izuku!" Yelled Ochaco running towards him.
But before she could get close Eri appeared in front of her, stopping her. "Don't move, I don't know who this is."
Ochaco looked at Eri surprised, "What? Eri, it's Izuku. Look at him."
"I know he's right there, but something's off. He doesn't smell like dad." Explained Eri. "That isn't Izuku."
Izuku then turned, now looking at both Eri and Ochaco he began to walk towards them. Eri flinched and in an instant she popped her claws. "Stop! Take another step and I'll kill you."
But Izuku ignored her command, still walking towards them Eri gritted her teeth and lunged at this imposter.
Eri's claws were inches away from stabbing into the imposter's face when he moved. Dodging out of the way Eri was surprised when out of nowhere a fist came up and uppercutted her, breaking her jaw.
Spitting out blood Eri jumped back as she now had a dangling jaw. "Eri!" Yelled Ochaco, she tried to help but Eri put up her arm.
Loud pops were heard as Eri's jaw shifted back into place. "Stay back, whatever this thing is, it's good. It's almost as strong as dad."
Stopping the imposter looked at Eri, then let out a small smile, feeling something warm run down his face the imposter reached up and noticed that it was blood. "Not bad kid, I see you've improved much since the last time. Also, what did I say about focusing too much on kill shots. You left yourself wide open."
Eri's eyes widened as the wound on the imposter's face healed rapidly, noticing this caused Eri to lower her guard. "H-How do you know that? How did you know that, it was only me and dad when he spoke those words."
Izuku stopped in front of Eri and without warning he hugged her. "Because it's me kid."
Feeling a sudden surge of emotions Eri could barely muster up enough will to speak. "D-Dad?"
Breaking the hug Izuku grabbed Eri by the shoulders and looked right at her. "Wow, you've grown so much. It must have been years now….I missed you kid."
Retracting her claws Eri lunged at Izuku once again, but this time it wasnt to kill. No, this time it was to hug him tight. "Dad!" Cried Eri as tears ran down her face.
Izuku smiled as Eri cried into his chest, he then looked up to see Ochaco standing in disbelief. "I-Is it really you?"
"Yeah, it's me." Answered Izuku.
Ochaco walked over and stopped in front of Izuku, "The reason? What was the reason why you didn't pull the trigger?"
"You." Answered Izuku in a heartbeat. "You were the reason why I didn't pull the trigger. You saved me Ochaco, you gave my life meaning, and you are the most beautiful person on this planet."
With tears welling up in her eyes Ochaco closed the distance between the two and kissed Izuku on the lips. A few seconds later Ochaco pulled away, grabbing his face he let out a nervous laugh. "What the hell happened to you?"
"I don't know myself, I don't even know if I'm really alive or not. Everything still seems a bit fuzzy, I had a strange dream. One where I met other versions of myself. When I opened my eyes, all there was darkness. So I looked for a way out, but once I reached the surface my memory began to fog up. Scared and confused, I smelled the air and noticed that there was something out there with my smell. So I followed it here, to UA." Explained Izuku.
"But why attack us?" Asked Mirio.
Izuku turned, "I was still confused, and when you grabbed my shoulder I mistook it as an attack. Sorry." He then looked at his class. "I also see that I've been gone for a while, how long?"
"2 years." Answered Eri. "You were gone for two years."
Izuku's eyes widened, "Two years huh, our promise, I'm sorry I broke it Eri."
"That doesn't matter now, what does it, is that you're back." Said Eri. "We've got a lot of catching up to do."
"That we do." With that Izuku walked side by side with Ochaco as they went to check him out for any abnormalities. Recovery Girl almost had a heart attack when she saw Izuku walk into her office.
After calming down and some studies, Izuku was cleared. But more shocking of all was the fact that Izuku had his quirks back. Healing, enhanced senses, and super strength all back. It was as if Izuku was never lost his powers.
"This is amazing." Said Recovery Girl. "It's like the past years didn't mean anything. You're in perfect health."
Izuku put his shirt back on, "So I'm no longer getting poisoned?"
"Oh that's still happening, but with your healing factor now back. You won't have to worry about that anytime soon." Said Recovery Girl. "So what do you plan on doing now, you literally have a second chance at life."
Izuku smiled, "I'll tell you what I won't do. Waste it."
With everything perfect Izuku left the room as he now had his life, his quirks, and his family by his side. However, things wouldn't stay like that forever.
Getting his powers back was also a curse, now that he had his powers back Izuku would age slowly, while those around, apart from Eri, wouldn't.
Over the years the class would go on to become great heroes. Even some of them paired up and married, Momo and Todoroki, Kamanari and Jiro just to note a few.
Even Izuku went on to become a hero, he even married Ochaco and was expecting a kid.
Izuku enjoyed every second of his life, he enjoyed his wedding, he enjoyed holding his newborn son, he enjoyed seeing Eri become her own person and take up the mantle of Wolverine, he enjoyed fighting alongside his friends, for the first time Izuku loved life.
But those days couldn't last forever, Izuku now stood beside a hospital bed. With heart rate monitor sounds in the background Eri walked in, "How is she?"
"In and out of consciousness. Doctor says she doesn't have much time left." Said Izuku as he looked down at an old Ochaco. Thanks to Izuku's blood she received so long ago, Ochaco was currently 110 years old. "Any word on Saito?"
"He's on his way but he got held up by a villain attack. Saved alot of people." Explained Eri.
Izuku smiled, "That's my boy, his mom would be so proud."
"I-Izuku?" Said a weak and soft voice. Looking down Izuku found a barely conscious Ochaco.
Izuku grabbed her hand, "I'm here Ochaco."
She slowly turned to find Izuku, his face unchanged from the first time they met. "You haven't aged a day even after all these years. Izuku, I'm sorry."
"Sorry? For what?" Asked Izuku.
"Sorry for leaving you behind like this. You've watched family and friends wither way, but you still remain. Must be lonely, but I know you won't be alone. You still have Eri, our son, and we will always be looking out for you." Said Ochaco as she breathed a sigh of relief.
With tears running down his face Izuku smiled, "That's why you're sorry for? Don't be, I don't regret the time we had together. I will always cherish the memories we had together. When you get to the other side, wait for me yeah? I might take a while to get there, but I will someday."
Ochaco smiled, "I can do that. One last hero mission right?" Closing her eyes, Izuku's eyes widened when she stopped breathing.
Izuku kissed his wife on the head for the last time, "I love you Ochaco, rest easy."
Izuku Midoriya, the boy born without power, but destined for many things. Turned into a living weapon by those who wanted nothing more to see others suffer. Robbed of his innocence and turned into an animal. Cured of his temper by his love, calm to his friends, but ruthless to his enemies. Blood and metal were two things Izuku was familiar with. Father to Eri, and son to Inko. A man with no morals but with the kindest heart. A fighter, a lover, the Wolverine, now and forever.
AN: And we are done, this was the last chapter. Now, you maybe asking yourself, what the fuck did I just read. How the hell is Izuku alive? Well, all my stories are connected in one way shape or form, or will be. This one just so happens to be connected to The Green Blur and in that story an event happened that changed everything. But thanks to that event Izuku somehow came back, to find out how, I'll explain that down the line in The Green Blur. Well everyone it's been a journey, thank you all so much for the support on this story. I've had my ups and downs with it but thanks to your kind, and not so kind words, I was able to push through. Proving haters wrong one word at a time and while keeping others entertained. Without you, the reader, I would have stopped writing a long time ago so thank you so very much for pushing me. But don't worry I'm not done writing, I have other stories you can check out. I even have a new one coming out maybe by the first week of January and it's one I've been wanting to do for a while. Izuku with Spiderman's powers, I've been a huge Spiderman fan since I was little and now I want to see Izuku as him. Stick around to see how that goes. Anyway, once again thanks for staying and stay safe out there.
