The letters

Albus Dumbledore knew that night he went out on his trip with Harry he knew he was not coming back. This was what he was willing to give up for his family, and for the Order of Phoenix. He had written last letters for everyone that he had loved and he put them in envelopes on his desk. The first envelope was addressed to Minerva McGonagall. Inside it he wrote.

Minerva,

My dearest friend if you are reading this it means that I have died. I am sorry that I must put you through this but we both know that I have given my life for a good cause. I write to you now asking you to take over the Order of Phoenix. These people will need you to look after them now that I am gone. I also ask you to take care of my daughters Ciara and Alexa I know for most of their lives I have not been there for them. My only hope is that you can help ease some of their pain. Thank you for all of your help. I hope to see you in another life but as for now good by my dearest friend.

The next letter was addressed to Alexa and Ciara.

Alexa and Ciara,

My dearest daughters I know that in life I was not much of a father to both of you. I can only hope that you understand how much I love you. I know you will be angry at me. Angry that I let myself die. I know this but you need to understand I did this to protect you and the rest of the world. I know you might not understand it now but I hope you will understand it in the future.

The third letter was addressed to the Order of Phoenix it contained only three words.

I am sorry.

The last letter was addressed to Severus Snape.

Severus,

I am so sorry for what I made you do. I hope you know it was to protect you and that it was for your own good but I know you will probably not understand this now. You were like a son to me and i hope you know that. I know you probably want to here no more from me so all I am going to say is Good Bye.

These letters were deliver to days after Albus Dumbledore's funeral. It was seen to all who got them as the last words of Albus Dumbledore and most of the people to comfort from them.

Harry Potter always wondered why he did not get a letter the truth is Albus Dumbledore did not knowhow to say good bye to Harry and every time he tried he realized he could not do it. He knew Harry would know what to do.
