"I just can't believe Ma Gasket would do that," Jason muttered into his phone. He sat back in his seat and relaxed. His eyes moved around the small doctor's office. There were only three doctors that worked here, along with a few of their nurses. Everyone at the bar usually went here, as the doctors were regulars at Elysium.

"I'm not too surprised," Thalia commented. It sounded like she was chewing on either a pen or one of her nails. It was like a nervous tick that she had, and Jason tried to help her break the old habit. "How's the appointment going?"

"Not sure. I'm still waiting," Jason answered. When Will had stopped by the bar, he told them that Reyna would need to go to their office. Jason offered to give Reyna a ride, so she wouldn't have to walk back to Chiron's place. Reyna looked reluctant to accept but finally relented.

"I don't think she likes me too much," Thalia said.

"You're pretty scary," Jason commented with a cheeky smile. He could feel his sister's glare from the other side of the phone, and his smile widened. "What are we going to do about Ma Gasket?"

"Oh, you are not going to do anything," Thalia answered. Jason lost his grin. "Seriously, you just heard about how someone got their ass kicked by her and her goons. I'll do some research into this Ma Gasket. Just make sure someone is with Chiron at all times. I'm worried they're going to try and go after him again."

"I'm worried too," Jason agreed. While he was sure that Chiron could defend himself, he wasn't sure if Chiron would. The Centaur was the kindest and most gentle person that Jason had ever met. He always tried to see the good in everyone and would never hurt them, even if he had to.

"I'm worried that Chiron might try to confront Ma Gasket thinking he can talk her down. I don't want to see him get hurt because she's a psychopath," Jason said.

"Just keep an eye on him. Same for Tyson. I doubt that Ma Gasket will try and do something so bold, especially when she learns that some Hunters are investigating. Zoƫ and I will pay them a visit and just let them know we have eyes on them."

"Be safe," Jason began. He watched a door open, and Reyna walked out with Will. There was a gentle smile on Will's face. "Hey, I have to go. Talk to you later."

"Talk to you later, little bro. Dinner tomorrow?" Thalia asked.

"Of course," Jason answered. Thalia hung up, and Jason moved to Reyna's side. "How did it go?"

Reyna gave him a small thumbs up and remained silent. Will smiled and spoke, "Her jaw is broken, but it's not a severe fracture. I told her to keep talking to a minimum and to not eat any solid foods for the next week or two. Anything she eats needs to be liquid or blended first."

Jason nodded and studied Reyna. The blood had been cleaned from her face, and her nose looked like it had been popped back into place. There were a few fresh bruises around her jaw and eyes, and two of her fingers were taped together.

"How much does she owe?" Jason asked as he reached for his wallet.

"Chiron already paid for it," Will replied with a wave of his hand. Jason didn't miss the scowl that settled on Reyna's face. "I'll see you back in a week for everything else, Reyna. Not scared of needles, right?"

Reyna shook her head once. Will smiled. "You two have a good one."

"You too," Jason said. He watched Will walk away before moving his attention back to Reyna. "How are you feeling?"

A shrug left Reyna, and Jason found himself studying her. He wasn't sure what his impression of Reyna was. She seemed like she wanted to keep to herself, but she also kept getting involved in their issues. First with the assholes at the bar, then Lycaon, and now Ma Gasket.

Did Reyna just have a big heart, or was Annabeth right about her always trying to find fights? Jason walked to his car and waited for Reyna to get in the passenger's seat before getting in. Jason studied Reyna and knew the only way to find out was to get to know her better. He spoke, "I know a place that has great smoothies. Let me buy you one."

"Don't have to," Reyna muttered so quietly that Jason almost didn't hear. Reyna didn't move her jaw as she spoke, which added to the difficulty.

"I owe you for saving me from Lycaon. I was ungrateful," Jason said. Reyna looked at him confused, as if his words didn't make any sense. The truth was that he did owe Reyna. If she hadn't interfered, Lycaon probably would have kicked his ass all over the back alley. "Let me pay you back with a smoothie."

"Okay," Reyna relented. She laid her head back and stared out the front window. Jason focused on driving. It wasn't until they were halfway to the smoothie place that Reyna cleared her throat. "Those apartments."

"What about them?" Jason asked. He glanced to the side, but Reyna didn't look at him.

"Where are they?" Reyna muttered. She winced slightly.

"They're not far from here. I'll show you," Jason answered as he turned onto another road. He drove past his apartment complex and towards one that was further down the road. Jason stopped outside and pointed towards the building. It was three stories tall and looked well kept.

"Gleeson Hedge owns this place. He worked with Chiron at the bar for a while before he got married and had a kid," Jason explained. "He doesn't require a down payment, and Chiron or I can vouch for you if you don't have the money to afford rent for the first month."

Reyna nodded and sat back in the seat. Her gaze moved to her feet. Jason hesitated and then started to drive again, making his way towards the smoothie place. As he drove, he continued speaking, "The neighborhood is pretty safe, and Hedge takes good care of his tenants. He helped me out until I was able to get another place."

"And, thanks. For defending Chiron," Jason said. Reyna glanced at him. "I'm sorry that Ma Gasket hurt you, though. She's nothing more than a bully. There's a lot of assholes in this town, but there's a lot of good people too."

Reyna didn't look too convinced. Jason was sure that she hated him talking so much, but he couldn't help himself, "How is your stomach wound doing?"

"Will said it's better," Reyna whispered. Her mouth moved slightly, and she winced. "Need shots next week. Lot of 'em."

"Good thing the bar has great healthcare," Jason joked. Reyna didn't answer. "Do you want to go inside and sit or just want me to run in and get something?"

"Inside is fine," Reyna muttered after a moment. Jason nodded and parked at the smoothie place. He got out, and Reyna did as well. She followed him to the front door and gave him a side glance as he held open the front door.

"Ladies first," Jason began. Reyna rolled her eyes and walked inside with Jason following behind. As he looked at the front counter, he saw two familiar faces sitting at a nearby table.

"Jason!" Piper called with a huge smile on her face. Jason's eyes shot down to his watch. He didn't realize how many hours had passed since he left the party. It seemed like the party had finished, and Piper probably had her maids cleaning up the mess.

"Hey," Jason greeted as he walked towards Piper. His eyes moved to Annabeth. Jason felt Reyna following behind him, and a glance back showed her unreadable expression. He knew that Reyna and Annabeth still weren't getting along that well. "Party over already?"

"It's been like four hours since you left," Piper said with a shrug. Her eyes moved to Reyna, and a frown settled on her face. "What happened?"

"Ma Gasket," Reyna muttered softly as she crossed her arms.

"Ma Gasket," Jason repeated. "She was threatening Chiron, and Reyna stepped in."

"She was threatening Chiron?" Annabeth questioned. A frown plagued her face, and she tensed at the thought. If there was one person that Annabeth saw like a father, it was Chiron, and she hated for anyone to threaten him. "Is he okay?"

"He's fine," Jason promised. "Reyna stepped in before anything could happen to him. Ma Gasket broke her jaw and then her fingers."

"Are you doing okay?" Piper asked as she looked at Reyna. It took a moment for Reyna to nod. "What are you guys doing here then?"

"Reyna can't eat anything solid, so I offered to get her a smoothie," Jason began. Annabeth stood from her chair.

"I'll get it for her," Annabeth offered. She made eye contact with Reyna, and both of them quickly looked away.

"I already told her I would get it," Jason said with a shrug. "I am a gentleman after all."

Jason walked toward the counter, and Reyna slowly followed behind him. He knew that Reyna wasn't going to be best friends with Annabeth anytime soon, and he wanted to save the awkwardness of the two interacting with each other.

"What do you want to get?" Jason asked. Reyna looked over the menu. Jason did as well, and after the two ordered, he found that Piper had pulled up two chairs for them. Reyna slowly walked towards the table and sat across from Piper.

Jason waited for their smoothies, and after he got them, he slowly walked towards the table. Reyna gave him a nod and mumbled a thanks as Jason placed her smoothie down. Jason sat by her and watched as Reyna carefully sipped her drink.

Jason looked back at Piper and noticed she wore a small frown. Her eyes kept shooting back and forth between him and Reyna. Upon seeing that Jason was watching her, Piper quickly smiled at him, "Where did Thalia go?"

"Back to her office to open an investigation on Ma Gasket. If Chiron hadn't told her to stay, she probably would have hunted her down," Jason answered. "I want to as well."

"Jason," Annabeth warned. Jason sighed and looked away. He would never admit it out loud, but he felt like an outsider in his group of friends. They had a mixture of different creatures from human all the way to Succubus. The problem was that Jason was the only werewolf.

It wasn't just the only werewolf in his friend group; he was practically one of the only werewolves in the city. There was a few in Lycaon's stupid gang, and he acted like every werewolf owed him for their existence. That was why he tried to recruit all of them one way or another.

There were times that Jason felt like one of the only good werewolves in the city. There was him and his mentor, and that was pretty much it. Lycaon corrupted anyone else, or they let their bloodlust and chaotic energy from the full moon take over.

There were plenty of stereotypes about werewolves that Jason tried to avoid. Everyone always thought that werewolves were easy to anger, and if they were angered, they would get violent. That was why Jason could not show his anger. He could never get mad in front of the others. The one time that he had, he saw the fear in their eyes. They thought he would hurt them.

Jason would never hurt his friends. He could control himself better than that, and it hurt so much that the others seemed to think of him as some kind of monster who couldn't control himself. Jason couldn't even make a reference to violence without anyone thinking he was going to fly off the handle, and it angered him.

"Jason, what are you doing after this?" Piper asked. Her eyes flickered over to Reyna again.

"Nothing," Jason answered. "Probably going home."

"Do you want to hang out tonight?" Piper asked with a seductive smirk.

"I'll pass," Jason said. He didn't really want to hang out with anyone, other than his sister. There was a chance that she would stop by, and even if she didn't, Jason would have the time to mentally recharge. Piper lost her smirk, and she looked away. For some reason, she looked at Reyna again.

Reyna was staring down at her smoothie and drinking it quietly. She didn't seem to notice Piper stealing glances at her or Annabeth studying her like a curious scientist. Instead, she raised her hand and looked at her broken fingers.

"I can drive you back to Chiron's," Annabeth offered. Reyna's eyes flickered up, and she slowly shook her head.

"I have it handled," Jason spoke. He smiled slightly, but he noticed that Piper's eyes seemed to narrow. Why did she seem upset? Jason lost his smile and tried to keep it from turning into a frown. Was Piper mad at him? Why?

"Are you taking time off then?" Piper asked Reyna. It took a moment for Reyna to look at her, and she shook her head. "Are you sure? It looks like you're in pain."

"Had worse," Reyna muttered. She finished her smoothie and stood. "I'll walk back."

"You really shouldn't," Annabeth began.

"You should get a ride," Piper added, but a slight frown intruded her features again as she looked at Jason. "You need to rest as much as you can after what happened."

"It's really not a problem," Jason said. He picked up his half finished smoothie. "I'll take you back there. And, I'll see the two of you later."

"Have a good one, Jason. See you at the bar," Annabeth waved.

"Yeah. See you," Piper muttered. Jason gave her a small smile and then led Reyna out of the smoothie shop. He wasn't sure what was going on with Piper, but he was sure that she would get over it. For now, he would make sure Reyna went back to Chiron's and got some sleep. From there, he had plenty of his own problems to focus on. Namely Lycaon.
