"I thought you were off today," Reyna began as she approached Clarisse. The ogress looked at her and remained silent. Reyna opened her mouth to continue. Then, she realized that two police cars were pulled up near the entrance, and there weren't any patrons in line.

"You're late again," Clarisse reprimanded. Reyna winced. "I got called in. Everyone did."

"What happened?" Reyna asked as she walked towards Clarisse. She stuck her hands in her pockets. Being late this time wasn't her fault. She had a really long night. Murdering two cyclopes wasn't easy, and she was exhausted from it.

"Ma Gasket's boys were found dead this morning. Since Ma Gasket has been a thorn in our side, police are questioning everyone at the bar," Clarisse answered bluntly, crossing her arms. "Now, buy a damn alarm. You have been late all this week. The next time you are late, I am coming to your house and dragging your ass here."

"Sorry," Reyna muttered as she looked down. "I've just been restless. Not able to sleep."

"Because of the full moon?" Clarisse inqueried. Reyna glanced up at her and nodded. It wasn't a total lie. She had spent most of her nights scouting out Ma Gasket and her family, which left her restless with all the information swimming in her head. Clarisse's face softened slightly. "Just try to be here on time. Let me know if you need anything."

"I will," Reyna promised. Clarisse motioned with her head, and the two walked inside the bar. A look around showed that everyone really had been called in. Even those with classes were there. Unless they were on that winter break that everyone kept talking about.

Reyna sat down at a booth with Clarisse. She saw that Thalia was there. The hunter stood next to Jason, keeping a protective arm around his shoulders. Leo sat on a table near them, and his knee was bouncing up and down enough to shake the entire table. Piper stood near them along with Annabeth.

Frank and Hazel were standing next to each other and talking quietly to Chiron. Sitting not too far from Reyna was Nico. He had his gaze locked on the ground with a nervous stare. Reyna saw the others were gathered closer to the kitchen. No one seemed to have noticed her late arrival.

"So, Ma Gasket's boys were killed?" Reyna asked again as she looked at Clarisse.

"A fucking massacre from what I heard," Clarisse answered back. She looked Reyna in the eyes. "They think a werewolf did this. What the fuck were you doing last night?"

"Clarisse, I went home, and I was awake all night. But I didn't leave my place," Reyna lied as she looked Clarisse in the eyes. "I swear."

"Thalia took you home, right?" Clarisse questioned. Reyna nodded. "Alright. Shit. Jason says that he was with Leo all night, and they have the movie tickets to prove it."

"You don't think Jason could do that, do you?" Reyna asked, trying to hide the visible tension in her shoulders.

"I don't," Clarisse confirmed. "Someone did, though."

Reyna opened her mouth to speak, but she heard the front door of the bar swing open. Her head turned, and she stared at the newcomer that walked into the bar. Tyson stood there, shaking miserably. He wasn't wearing a shirt, and his arms were crossed over his chest as he shivered. The pants he wore were covered in blood and grime.

"Tyson, what happened to you?" Chiron questioned frantically as he crossed the bar in a second. Tyson looked down and shook his head. "Come here, boy. Sit down."

Reyna watched Chiron lead Tyson towards a table. Tyson looked around and shivered. Then, his gaze happened to run over Reyna, and he stopped walking as he met her eyes. Reyna felt a chilling freeze wash over her. There was no way that he recognized her, right?

Tyson finally looked away and sat on the chair he was led to. Now that he was in the light, Reyna could see just how deep the cuts on his back were. Bruises and gashes littered his back along with marks from the belt that had been used on him. Clarisse stood.

"Tyson, what happened?" Chiron asked gently.

"Ma Gasket," Tyson whimpered. Reyna saw Clarisse's fist clench. Thalia was slowly making her way to Tyson.

"What did she do?" Chiron prodded. Piper gently offered Tyson a glass of water, and Reyna could hear Annabeth calling Percy.

"I tried to leave her bar behind. For good," Tyson whimpered. He took a sip of the water. His whole body shook, probably from pain.

"Did she do this to you?" Thalia asked. Tyson slowly looked at her. "You remember me, right big guy?"

Tyson nodded in confirmation. He slowly continued, "Ma handed me over to her boys. They..."

Tyson fell silent and shivered. Chiron spoke up, "They hurt you?"

"Yes," Tyson confirmed in a whisper. "Then, last night. They were hurting me. But..."

"They were killed," Thalia interrupted. "Do you know what killed them? Or who?"

"A werewolf," Tyson slowly confirmed. Thalia nodded and knelt in front of him.

"Did the werewolf hurt you too?" Thalia questioned. Tyson shook his head. "Did they notice you?"

"Are you going to tell the police?" Tyson mumbled.

"We have to, Tyson. You're not going to get into trouble," Chiron promised. "You can tell us whatever happened."

"The werewolf told me not to," Tyson continued. Reyna felt her body tense as Tyson's words carried through the near silent bar.

"Told you not to," Clarisse repeated. "What do you mean?"

"The werewolf killed both of them," Tyson revealed. Reyna wanted to yell at him to be quiet. She gripped her fist tightly. Her plan was blowing up before her eyes. "It told me to go back to Percy. To lie to the police. Tell them I played dead and then escaped when it was safe."

"The werewolf freed you and let you go?" Clarisse questioned. Tyson nodded. Reyna felt her jaw clench tightly as Clarisse looked at her for a very long moment. "Any idea on who the werewolf was?"

Tyson shook his head, "I didn't know where to go. I was scared."

"Percy is going to be here soon, and we'll take you to a doctor," Annabeth informed gently as she walked towards Tyson's side. "You can stay with them tonight."

Clarisse walked back towards Reyna and looked down at her. She spoke in a cold voice, "Hands."

Reyna placed both hands on the table. Clarisse studied her hands intently. She spoke, "They said a nail was found in one of the bodies. The nail from a werewolf."

"Clarisse, I was at home," Reyna insisted. "Look, I'm not missing any nails. Hell, I'll show you my toes if you want."

"No," Clarisse muttered in defeat. A sigh left her. "Sorry."

"It's cool," Reyna dismissed with a shrug. "I get it. Yo don't want a murderer in the bar."

Clarisse grunted and remained silent. Reyna tried to settle back in the seat and calm her tense muscles. Her gaze moved back to Tyson, "Is he going to be okay?"

"Yeah. He's not going anywhere near Ma Gasket again," Clarisse promised. She sighed. "I have to go look at Jason's nails now."

Reyna nodded and remained silent. Clarisse walked away, leaving her alone. Reyna tried to calm her tense muscles. What the fuck was she thinking? Why had she even done this? It was going to backfire in her face, and what would happen to her?

Reyna closed her eyes and took a deep breath. No. She was not going to let this shake her. Reyna had a plan and stuck with it perfectly. Things would work out for her. That she knew. Someone walked near her, breaking her out of her thoughts.

"Can we ask you a few questions?" a man asked. Reyna opened her eyes and looked at the police officer. Reyna nodded and slowly stood. The police officer led her through the bar and towards the back offices. They stopped at Clarisse's office and stepped inside.

Reyna looked around the office. Sitting behind Clarisse's desk was another police officer. Next to him stood Zoë. She was leaning against the wall and studying them. Reyna slowly sat in the only available chair.

"Am I in trouble?" Reyna slowly asked. She wanted to bite her tongue, but she didn't want to give them any indicator that she had experience with police.

"No," Zoë answered. "These gentlemen are just going to ask you questions about where you were last night."

"Home," Reyna began. She sat back in the seat.

"What were you doing before you went home?" the police officer sitting in the chair asked.

"I was here," Reyna answered.

"And, did Ma Gasket attack you?"

"She questioned me about where someone had gone. When I told her I didn't know, she punched me in the gut. So, I punched her back. Clarisse and Frank pulled us apart."

"Does that anger you? To be attacked like that. Were you also not attacked by Ma Gasket and her boys before?"

"When they were threatening to kill Chiron? Yeah. I stepped in, and they beat the shit out of me."

"Don't you want to take revenge on them?"

"I'd rather not get the shit kicked out of me for a third time."

The police officer studied her. He leaned forward and spoke, "Sump and Torque, Ma Gasket's boys, were found dead this morning. Someone murdered them late last night. We have reason to believe it was a werewolf. What can you tell us about Jason Grace?"

Reyna noticed Zoë's eyes flickering to the side to study the officer. After a moment, Reyna shrugged, "He seems cool. I don't understand what that has to do with Ma Gasket's boys."

"He's the only werewolf in this bar, isn't he?" the police officer prodded.

"As far as I know."

"Do you think he could have done this?"

"No."

"How well do you know him?"

Reyna shrugged. The officer studied her, "Tell me about yesterday. What happened after you were attacked by Ma Gasket?"

"I went to the doctor to get this taken care of," Reyna said as she lifted her hand and showed off her splinted finger. "After that, I came back to work and finished my shift. I was going to walk home, but Thalia gave me a ride back to my apartment. From there, I watched a movie until I fell asleep."

The police officer stared at her, and Reyna stared back, "Why are you so convinced Jason did this?"

"I never said he did. He-"

"You implied it," Reyna interrupted. "Which is bullshit. Jason's one of the nicest guys I have ever met, and on top of that, Ma Gasket isn't the only person threatening this bar. Lycaon has done the same. Why don't you just look at the most violent werewolf in this city."

"You think Lycaon did this?" the police officer asked. Reyna shrugged. "You have had issues with both Lycaon and Ma Gasket, haven't you?"

"The entire bar has!" Reyna snapped as she sat forward. She felt her body tensing. She wasn't quite sure why, but this conversation was really starting to piss her off. "Because you can't do your fucking job. After Ma Gasket assaulted me, her and her boys should have been in jail. Especially since they threatened Chiron."

"And Lycaon? That fucker has caused how many problems for this place, and he hasn't been arrested yet. He assaulted Jason and Piper. Attacked me in front of one of your officers, and you want to tell me he's not even a fucking suspect. You suspect Jason first? You're fu-"

"Reyna," Zoë interrupted. Reyna bit back her next words and slowly looked at the hunter. "Why don't we go outside and get some air?"

Reyna nodded and slowly stood. She had not meant to blow up like that. The police officer watched her silently, and Reyna just turned her back. Her plan was to put Lycaon forth as a possible suspect, but hearing that Jason was being accused pissed her off.

It was like the police officers didn't give a shit about what Lycaon did; otherwise, he would be the first suspect. And for the rest of the bar to be under scrutiny? That really pissed her off. Reyna walked out of the office and slowly looked at Zoë.

Zoë remained silent and studied her. Reyna tensed and looked away, "I didn't mean to lose my temper like that."

"I agree with you," Zoë stated with a hum. "Although, I'm not sure that was how I would have gone about it."

"Do they have any leads?" Reyna slowly asked. Zoë shook her head. Reyna nodded and felt that pit growing in her gut. "I'm gonna, uh, go. Back to the others."

Zoë nodded. Reyna turned and walked back to the main floor of the bar. She sat in the booth she had been in before. Zoë walked past her and right towards Thalia. The two talked quietly.

Reyna closed her eyes. This was not going how she had planned, but she just had to keep faith in the plan. As much as it sickened her, she learned this kind of deception from one of the best to do it. Reyna opened her eyes and looked around the bar. She had done this because of everyone around her: everyone in the bar. They were friends to her, and they were quickly becoming her makeshift pack.

And no one fucked with Reyna's pack.
