A/N: Hi everybody! This chapter is a little back-to-school present to all my reviewers. I know we're all not very happy about going back, but, it was good while it lasted. I went to a pretty good Break-end party today, and well, I got hit on by a cute guy. The spring break is over, but the fun will live on!

Sara sat on the edge of their bed, watching Nick sleep. Thoughts ran through her mind. I have to talk to one of them. But, which one? I hate both. Both ruined parts of my life. And now they're teaming up. Grissom, who had almost killed Nick and hurt her for so many years, or her mom, who had killed her father and sent Sara into years of foster homes where she was beaten and verbally abused. She sighed loudly, waking up Nick. His hand snuck out to hers. "Sara... What's wrong?" He asked her slowly. She replied softly. "I don't know which one to talk to..I don't want to talk to either, but I have to." Nick whispered back " I could talk to him, Sara...". "Nick, you know that's a bad idea. Remember the last time you talked to him about us?" She replied, fingering his circular scar where only a year ago he had been shot by their boss. "Sara, I have to. He can't keep hurting you. I would rather take another bullet than have you do this alone." He told her. She stared into his eyes, amazed by how much he loved her. "Fine, Nicky. You can come with me, but you have to control yourself." She grinned despite the seriousness of their conversation. She leant down to his outstreched arms. She loved the feeling of him. He always made her feel so safe. They broke apart several minutes later.

"What about Cassie?" She asked him half an hour later, as she brushed her teeth. He grinned at her before replying. "I'm sure she would like to visit the magician and his girlfriend." Sara smiled.

Cassie had indeed wanted to visit Warrick. Sara dropped her off at Catherines, where Cassie ran eagerly to Warrick. He grinned at her, before introducing her to Lindsey. Lindsey gave the younger girl a smile and a "Hey". Cassie smiled at her before answering. "Ditto." The two girls grinned and Lindsey casually asked. "Cassie, did you bring your swimsuit?" Cassie nodded, and the girls ran off. Sara thanked her supervisor as Warrick's arm draped around Catherine's shoulder. "No prob!" Warrick assured her. The couple turned and strolled into the backyard where shrieks and laughter had erupted, as Sara hopped into the Denali.

Gil Grissom had been inspecting his wall for more of the rare bugs he had discovered there. He had already found 6 of them, and named each. Dayna, Timothy, Kiara, Mike, William, & Megan. Megan was his favourite; she was the slowest runner of them all. He had began to like the most imperfect things in life. A gruff voice calling his name distracted him. "What?" He asked, annoyed. "You have some visitors!" The guard repeated, rather suprised. The queer old man had never had a single visitor in his year of the penitentary time. Grissom stood as the guard opened his cell, and led him down a hallway to the visitors room.

Gil immediately spotted the young couple sitting at one of the tables, their hands clasped. He sat, and looked away from them. "Yes?" he asked rudely. Sara glanced at Nick. "Grissom, have you been communicating with Sara's mother?" Nick questioned, staring his former boss in the eye. "Yeah, so what?" Grissom snapped. "Why?" Sara whispered. He glanced at her. She was looking down, afraid to see the look in his eyes. "I wanted to." He told her. Nick stepped in. "Well, we would not like you to." Nick said firmly. Grissom glanced at Sara again. "Sara, is this what you want or is your husband-" He glanced meaningfully at Nick "-forcing you to agree?" Grissom whispered to her. Sara looked up, anger flashing in her eyes. "Don't start your little games Grissom. I want you to leave us alone." She said forcefully. Grissom nodded. "Fine, I won't reply to any of her letters, which beg for information on you and your wheareabouts. Poor woman, just trying to reconnect with her child..." He said smoothly, a mischevious gleam in his eye. Nick attempter to lunge at Grissom, but was stopped by Sara's arm. He saw the look in her eyes and decided to let her handle this. "Grissom, we have nothing more to say to you. Leave us alone!" She stood, and Nick followed, one hand around her waist. He looked back at the old man in the orange jumpsuit, flashing him a angry glare. Grissom smiled to himself.

The two sat in the car outside the penitentary. Nick held her as she cried, kissing her forehead. "Honey..It's okay, it's okay. We're done now. We never have to see him again." He whispered. She looked up at him, smiled through her tears, and kissed him softly. "C'mon Nicky, let's go see Cassie!" She broke away from him. He grinned, and started the engine.

Sara & Nick strolled into the backyard, where still small giggles were heard. They spotted Cassie & Lindsey jumping off the small diving board in the hexagon-shaped, purple & blue tiled swimming pool. Warrick and Cathrine were lying on lawn chairs several yards away., sipping lemonade and trading soft kisses. "Yo, responsible babysitters!" Nick called over to them. They broke apart as all the adults began fits of giggles. Cassie and Lindsey hopped out of the pool eagerly, running over to the adults. Cassie jumped up onto Nick, who caught her swiftly. "Hey you! You got me all wet!" He laughed. She giggled, and ran to hug Sara next, soaking her too. Linsey was doing the same to Warrick & Catherine. The two young girls grinned at each other, grabbed a hand from a parent, and led them towards the pool. The other two adults were pulled along also. The girls grinned again, and counted out loud. "1,2,3!" One by one, they pushed them into the pool. The 4 came up sputtering and laughing. The girl giggled, squealed "Cannonball!", and promptly jumped into the water. Warrick grabbed Lindsey, who began squealing as he pushed her under. She fought back and surfaced quickly. Nick knew better than to do that to Cassie, so he just pulled her onto his shoulders and swam around the pool. She was giggling the whole time, and the two women just tread water for a few moments as their men played with the girls. Soon after, Cassie whispered into Sara's ear. "Waterfight?" Sara grinned at her, gave her a big hug, and whispered back. "Definately!" They began splashing at Warrick, Catherine & Lindsey. Nick joined their side as the air was filled with droplets of water.
