Blaze ran through the forest back towards the village when she suddenly glowed cyan and flew upwards. She started to scream as the ground got further away "Oh, great Gaia's ghost! This is it!". She was dropped on a tall tree branch and Silver landed next to her looking nervous "For the record that was him. I just wanted to land in front of you" "Silver, get me down from here!" "You have to give me a chance to explain". Blaze shook her head "I am not listening to anything you have to say!" "Then I won't speak. Just let me show you. Please, Blaze". Blaze thinks for a moment before eventually climbing up the branch. She stands behind Silver and puts her arms around his neck "Now get me down". Silver nods "See. Nothing to be afraid off". He suddenly shot upwards; Blaze screamed in terror "What're you doing?" "It's not me. It's him! Cyzer! What is wrong with you? Bad Wisp". He laughed nervously "He's not usually like thi- Oh, no". He dived down, Blaze screamed louder and tightened her arms around Silver making him struggle to breath. They dive right into the water and then back out "Cyzer, what are you doing? We need her to like us!". They flew right upwards and started to spin. Silver sighed sounding more frustrated than worried "And now the spinning. Thank you for nothing, you useless ball energy" "Okay, I'm sorry! I'm sorry. Just make him stop". Silver suddenly got control of his own body back and flew he steady calming Blaze.
He slowly flew upwards into the clouds, Blaze finally opened her eyes and stared amazed. She held out her hand and it brushed through the clouds. She started to smile as Silver flew higher into the night sky. Bright colours shined down, and Blaze sees the illuminated village below them. She smiles "Alright, I admit it. This is pretty cool. It's amazing". Blaze didn't really know where to talk too so she just patted the back of Silver's head "He's amazing". Silver nodded feeling Cyzer's joy "He appreciates the compliment". They flew down over the ocean "So what now?". Silver didn't answer, "Silver, your final exam is tomorrow. You know you'll have to… You know" "Don't remind me". They both enter a cloud of fog, Silver suddenly felt fear coming from Cyzer. Losing control, he swiped downward "What? Cyzer, what's happening? What is it?". Wisps suddenly appear on different sides of them all possessing animals "What's going on?" "I don't know. Cyzer, you got to get us out of here, bud". Silver tried to move but couldn't "It looks like they're hauling in their kill" "Uh, what does that make us?". Some of the other wisps begin eyeing the two of them. They along with the other wisps enter a large cave in the side of a mountain. They enter a cavern that's bottom was covered by a mist "What my dad wouldn't give to find this". They land on a rocky ledge and the two stand watching the wisps releases there hosts over pit dropping them down "Well, it's satisfying to know all our food has been dumped down a hole" "They're not eating any of it". They both watched a drill fly into the cavern, but it wasn't possessing anything and so had nothing to drop. Suddenly a massive violet covered head with horns and serrated teeth came out of the fog and gobbled up the Drill. Blaze's eyes widened "What is that?". All the wisps hide in fear of the beast which suddenly sniffs the air "Bud, we got to get out of here, now!", Blaze puts her arms back around his neck. The Mother suddenly lunged at them but Silver shoots up. The wisps all desperately try to fly out with him, the Mother tries to climb after them and eats a Cube by mistake.
They land in the forest with Blaze's mind racing "It totally makes sense. It's like a giant beehive. They're the workers and that's their queen. It controls them. Let's find your dad". Silver shook his head as Cyzer left his body "No! No". he grabbed her arm stopping her "No, not yet. They'll kill Cyzer. Please, Blaze, we have to think this through" "Silver, we just discovered the wisps' nest, the thing we've been looking for since our ancestors first sailed here and you want to keep it a secret? To protect your pet wisp? Are you serious?". Silver stepped back and had a determined face "Yes". Blaze stares surprised, Silver sighs and looks away. Blaze slowly nods "Okay. Okay. Then what do we do?" "Just give me until tomorrow. I'll figure something out" "Okay". There was a moment of silence before Blaze punched his arm "That's for kidnapping me". Silver rubbed his arm and exchanged a look with Cyzer who was drinking from a pond. Blaze then grabbed Silver and kisses his check before quickly looking away embarrassed "That's for… everything else" she quickly runs off. Silver slowly smiled and Cyzer hovered beside him. Silver frowned "What're you looking at?".
The next morning a large crowd stood around the arena "Silver! Silver! Silver!" they chanted. Shadow walked out onto a platform grinning "Well, I can show my face in public again". He laughed "If someone had told me that in a few short weeks Silver would go from… well, being, uh, Silver to placing first in wisp training. Well, I'd have tied him to the front of a ship and sent him off for fear he'd gone mad! And you know it". The crowd cheered "But here we are. And no one is more surprised or more proud than I am". At a tunnel into the arena Silver stood listening. He glanced down at the bandage under his left bracelet, he was really hoping for some luck right now, "Today, my boy becomes a warrior. Today he becomes one of us!". A hand suddenly touched his shoulder and he turned to see Blaze "Be careful with that wisp" "It's not the wisp I'm worried about" he watched Shadow sit at a chair facing the arena. Blaze looked up "What are you going to do?" "Put an end to this. I have to try". He takes a breath "Blaze, if something goes wrong, please make sure they don't find Cyzer". Blaze nodded "I will. Just promise me it won't go wrong". Omega walked towards them "It is time, Silver". Silver nodded and walked past him, "Please do not die" Omega asked him.
This made Silver smirk slightly as he entered the arena. Jet, Wave and the others were the first to cheer him on. Omega joined Shadow and watched Silver go over to a rack of weapons taking a shield and knife. Shadow tilted his head "Hmm, I'd have gone for the machine gun". Silver takes another breath as the cage in front of him opens revealing a quake. It immediately released a shockwave which caused the whole arena to shake violently but it remained intact. It flew along the walls of the arena trying to escape. Once realising that it couldn't get out it turned and advanced on a scared Silver. He gulped and dropped his knife and shield. Shadow narrowed his eyes "What is he doing?". The crowd murmured confused as Silver calmly raised his hands to the Quake "Hey, it's okay. It's okay". He stands up straight "I'm not one of them". Shadow slowly got to his feet "Stop the fight" "No. I need you all to see this". He reached his right hand to the Quake who stopped "They're not what we think they are. We don't have to kill them". The crowd watched open mouthed, "I SAID, STOP THE FIGHT!" Shadow hits the bars of the arena creating a loud clanging sound. The Quake panics and smashes into the ground throwing Silver back. He gets to his feet and runs as the Quake chases him.
In the cove Cyzer was sleeping when he suddenly jumped up wide awake turning Cyan. He flew towards the wall of the cove, but he burst with energy knocking him down. He kept scrambling up until managing to make it out and he flies as fast as he could
Blaze used an axe to force the arena door open "Silver". She grabs a hammer and throws it at the Quake. It turns and chases after her instead. Shadow opens the arena door fully open "This way". Blaze runs out but before Silver could make it the Quake landed in front of him. Omega fired his gatling gun through the cage to try and drive it off, but it smashed down on the ground. It knocked Silver down. It was too close to Silver so Omega stopped firing and it was ready to finish him off when a laser bolt suddenly broke through the arena chains and hit the quake into a wall. The Quake sees Cyzer in front of him and quickly retreats back into its cage. Silver's eyes widened and he runs over to him "Alright, Cyzer, go. Get out of here". The crowd begins jumping into the arena. Shadow charged out of the tunnel holding an axe "No, Dad, he won't hurt you!". Cyzer narrows his eyes and dashed forward knocking Shadow over. He got ready to laser through his head but "Cyzer, NO!". Cyzer stopped and looked back at Silver. He was then grabbed and pinned to the ground by multiple villagers. Silver ran forward but Blaze held him back "No, no! Please don't hurt him!". Shadow got to his feet; a bat held out a pistol to him. Shadow glared at Cyzer and pushed the gun away "Put it with the others".
