"Hey, Wills. I… I was patrolling, looking for the usual vamps, and such. Showing Rachel, the new Slayer, around. I… I saw your grave. This… this monument that no vamp has ever been able to enter, after they put you here. Well, except Spike and Angel. I guess you know that they're your friends, huh?" The blond Slayer laughed, "You always knew who was on our side, Willow. Like Spike. You knew he was on our side, even though the rest of us were suspicious.
"I wonder what you'd say? If you could see us now… Xander and Anya with their daughter… me, with my still patrolling, and, god, what would you say if you knew I was the principle of the re-built Sunnydale High? I promise to be nicer then Snyder and to not be eaten by anything.
"You'd like Rachel. She's like a mixture of you, Xander, and Cordy(the later Cordy, though, not the Softer-Side-Of-Sears Cordy.). She has all your book skills, and isn't a complete dunce with the computer, but she's still laid back, and she has a good fashion sense, and always quick with the comebacks. Also, she's a hero. Just like you, the greatest hero of them all. She goes to the High school, so I'm her principal. She can leave school grounds for Slaying purposes.
" God, Wills," Buffy Summers said, tears shining in here eyes, "I miss you so much…"
Rachel watched silently as her predecessor, the blonde Slayer she had thought to be invincible, broke down crying in front of the grave of her best friend. Buffy had always seemed fearless, always seemed like nothing could keep her down. But now Rachel saw that it was a façade, and, though that made her seem more human, it made Rachel like her even more.
And maybe someday she would know who this… 'Willow, the Greatest Hero of Us All' was. For now, she took Buffy back to her house. It was almost dawn, anyway. She looked at the grave one last time.
She couldn't help but feel proud that the greatest hero of them all would have liked her.
