Firestar raced past his old home, the twoleg place. A dream had told him to come here, but why? His flame-colored fur dazzled in the moonlight as his green eyes kept looking for something, but he did not know what. He followed the fence he used to sit on top of when he was a kit. Memories flashed in his mind.
He began to head into undiscovered territory. The forest looked the same here as it did on the other side, green trees, bramble, and underbrush.
He heard a voice. "Who's there!" it shouted, breaking the peaceful night silence.
Firestar froze. He heard pawsteps coming closer and closer. He started to crouch down, ready to pounce.
The stranger jumped out from behind a bush. He sniffed around before asking, "Who are you?" the gray tom had a look of confusion on his face, "You don't smell of any clan, nor do you smell of a rogue or kittypet."
"I am Firestar, leader of ThunderClan," replied Firestar, who couldn't distinguish the scent of this strange cat either.
"ThunderClan? I have never heard of that clan," the cat meowed, " I am Graystar, leader of GoldClan."
"I have never heard of your clan either," Firestar meowed, "Surely you have been over there. On that side of the forest."
"No, I have not. It is too dangerous. Twolegs capture every cat known to go over there. Is ThunderClan the only clan?" the cat questioned. "My clan is only one out of a handful. There is, SilverClan, OceanClan, EvilClan, BloodClan, NightClan, and the strange LegendClan. Those cats in LegendClan aren't normal! Of course there are packs, rogues, and kittypets too."
"Well, other than my clan there is, ShadowClan, WindClan, and RiverClan, rogues and kittypets too," Firestar meowed in amazement from the new clans he had just discovered, "Maybe we should have a gathering at my gathering place."
"Okay. I will inform the other leaders!" and with that Graystar dashed off into the wilderness, leaving Firestar to the unknown. Firestar merely turned around and made his way back to his camp.
"Where did Graystar go? He's been gone for a while. Ever since he said there was no gathering last moon, and traveled to the new clans with the other leaders, he hasn't returned! The other leaders have though." Oddspirit mewed to herself as she watched her deputy turn a bluish-silvery apprentice into a warrior.
