Nino is Carapace and Alya is Rena Rouge.

They know of each other and Ladybug allows it.

And whoever Scarabella is, she knows Ladybug's identity. Plus there's the whole not telling him there's going to be a replacement...

Adrien groaned. It was clearer with every moment. Ladybug didn't trust him. Ladybug didn't consider him an equal partner. Ladybug didn't think he was important enough to share information...

With heavy heart, Adrien scrolled through online shop. He had to somehow make things right with Plagg, as what he planned to do would definitely upset the kwami. A few clicks later the order was placed. All there was left to do was wait.

Or not wait. He had to finish all his unfinished business. He walked over to his desk and started writing down a list.

give Nino some of my records and games

donate Ladybug and Chat Noir dolls

do something nice for Marinette

return Miraculous to Ladybug

'Hey! What is that supposed to mean?!' Plagg screamed at him. Adrien froze. He wasn't aware that the kwami was peeking over his shoulder.

'Uh, I...' he covered the last position on the list, but it was obviously too late. Plagg had seen.

'Kid, pull yourself together! You're the best Black Cat I've ever had. My favorite' he nuzzled him. 'Are you seriously thinking of quitting? You love being Chat Noir!'

'I am not needed as Chat Noir, Plagg' Adrien sighed. 'Don't pretend you can't see it. Ladybug doesn't care about me. Rena Rouge and Carapace will pick up the slack. And they find me annoying. Well, at least Carapace does. Father doesn't really care about me either. It's not like I'll be missed...'

Plagg looked at him, at his list, and at him again, slowly realizing what his master was up to.

'Adrien, don't... don't even think about doing it' he slowly shook his head.

'You won't talk me out of this' Adrien frowned.

'Want to bet?' Plagg extended a paw. 'I can bet that you will change your mind within a week. You can hold on this long, right?'

Adrien hesitated, looking at the list, and then at the kwami.

'A week... well, I won't finish it all sooner anyway. But in a week. I'm returning the ring. And you won't see me anymore.'

He didn't want to mention that no one would see him anymore. But Plagg was the only one he considered to matter.
