'Where is this Chat when he's needed?' Ladybug grunted. 'I won't get the akuma by myself and he's sure taking his sweet time, again!'

'Sorry for delay, M'lady' Chat said from right behind her. 'I couldn't escape the clutches of my, ah, civilian life' he explained miserably. Somehow Gabriel did accept that he wanted to go to bed early. Hopefully he wouldn't check on him.

'So he uses this girl as a bait' Ladybug huffed. 'He's wrong in saying she's my best friend. I'm definitely not friendly with her. But she's a civilian and we should save her anyway. Any ideas there, Chat? And any idea where the akuma is?'

'It's just a guess, but I think maybe the headphones? They look pretty out of place on him.'

Ladybug nodded. It was worth a try, at least.

'So what do we do about the hostage?' Chat asked. Best Bro was taunting them from afar, swinging Lila on his lasso.

'Come on and give me your Miraculous, and I will not drop her to her death!' he snickered. Chat rolled his eyes.

'...and nothing of value will be lost if we just don't give him one' he said aloud. Somehow, Ladybug didn't scold him for that.

'Oooh, so maybe her mother was right and you two ARE incompetent!' Best Bro taunted them, swinging Lila higher and faster. Ladybug clenched fists.

'Okay, we gotta save her. Chat, cut the rope, I'll catch her. Now!'

Chat cut the rope with his claws and Ladybug caught Lila. Then, she carried her back home, leaving Chat with Best Bro. Chat circled around his friend and dodged anything he shot.

'Hey, Bro!' he called out. 'What's your deal?'

'Give me your Miraculous! And let me avenge my bro Adrien!'

'Whoa, whoa. There will be no more avenging. What you did with Lie-la was enough.'

'No! Ladybug has to pay too!'

'Dude, calm down' Chat groaned. Best Bro hesitated for a moment, but reassured by Shadow Moth, he launched his lasso at Chat. Chat dodged the loop and grabbed the rope, only to pull Best Bro off the hoverboard. He pulled him up then, and snatched the headphones.

'Gotcha' he grinned. 'Don't worry, Best Bro! Just be there for Adrien. He'll appreciate it' he snapped the headphones in half. The akuma flew out and was snatched by Ladybug's yo-yo.

'Bye-bye, little butterfly' Ladybug smiled. Nino looked at her, ashamed.

'I'm sorry, Ladybug! I left behind my charm and Shadow Moth could akumatize me...'

'It's okay, Nino. Here, have a new one' she handed him the charm. 'Need a lift home?'

'No... I'll be okay on my own' he sighed and made his way home.

'Pound it...?' Ladybug turned to where Chat stood just moments before.

But he was gone.
