Luz, Gwen, and Mort slowly walked back as they stopped while Gwen looked through a pair of binoculars.
"Ok well, there's about twice as much as last time." "You still have the keys right?" Luz asked Mort as he checked his pockets and pulled out a key ring.
"I never let it out my sight." Luz smiled "Good because we might need everything you have stocked up in there."
"And how are we doing that?" Gwen asked to which Luz responded by pulling out a sack "If Eda could fit an entire stand inside here then a few bottles and mixing bowls should be easy enough, Mort you open that place while the two of us will watch your back."
"Sure..." Mort said with unease as they then walked.
Back at the Owl House, Lilith was slurping on squid tentacles King had brought from the kitchen as she vomited a bit. "This damn curse, you'd think with dying magic, curses would go away."
"Well, you have yourself to blame," King told her as Lilith stood up. "Don't you..."
Lilith then proceed to choke out feathers as her nails shifted into claws. "This is all happening too quick..." Lilith then slowly backed or in this case, crawled away from King before locking herself in the guest room before fainting.
The trio where now near the shop as Mort reached the door and found the knob had been busted and broken off so he simply pushed it open. "We have a problem here." Luz and Gwen then followed him inside to find the entire place was ransacked with potions broken and spilled on the floor, missing from shelves, and several books gone.
"No there has to be a supply room right?" Gwen asked Mort as he rubbed his head. "Yeah about that... I panicked and locked it... with a different lock just in case."
"Then get the key and open it!" Luz yelled as Gwen told her to calm down as Mort struggled to get the lock and chains off. "Don't suppose any of you have a hairpin?"
Luz groaned before swinging her spear at the chains but it wouldn't break although the door did. "Does anyone have a sword?" Gwen then handed Lilith's sword to Luz as she continued swinging at the door while outside the dead slowly walked towards them.
Lilith woke up... back home "Hello?" She walked around a bit and turned around by the sound of a creaking door as she was pushed inside to see Eda's old room and saw her sleeping.
"No, not again... what was I thinking..." "What were you thinking that night?" A voice asked as Lilith looked around and watched as her young self walked in scroll in hand.
"Your mother never noticed you was it because she was getting all the attention?" "Stop I never..."
King then heard banging from the guest door followed by Hooty yelling as the door was knocked down and he saw Lilith screaming and yelling as Hooty wrapped himself around her as her feet were now long talons.
Luz then busted down the supply door as she struggled to walk past the chains before seeing several shelves with potions and ingredients. "What do we need?"
"Hold up." Mort then went in before lighting a small candle and reading the labels. "Ok, a few poison antidotes, healing supplements, and... Elixer!" He yelled holding a bottle.
Mort and Luz then started stuffing the sack with potion bottles till they cleaned the room out as Gwen took the bag. "Now let's leave," Mort told them as the door was pushed open as a few Revenants strolled inside.
"Great please tell me there's a back door!" Luz yelled as Mort replied "The supply room and now I realize I should have told you that before..."
"Less talking more moving!" Gwen shouted as they once again walked past the chains only for the sack to get stuck in between as Mort grabbed and pushed it to the as he then tripped with his feet getting tangled as he then slowly started getting loose as he drove a broken bottle into a revenant's neck as it fell down.
"See I'm more than just a..." Mort then screamed as the reverent was very much still active as it then bit into his foot as a few others then fell and started crawling and bitting at his left leg.
"NO!" Luz and Gwen then quickly killed them before pulling Mort out who was still screaming as Gwen unrolled his pants leg to find deep bites on his left leg as his right was clean. "Just leave me here please." He said begging.
Luz wasn't taking any of it "I already saw Eda go I'm not seeing the same thing with you, I've seen enough horror films to know what to do." "Do what?" Mort asked.
Luz then wrapped her cloak on Mort's upper knee before tightening it. "Gwen hold him down." "Luz what are you..."
"NOW!" Luz shouted at Gwen who then pinned Mort's arms down as Luz grabbed the sword.
"Might take a few swings..." Luz said as Gwen realized what the human was going to do.
"Luz your not seriously thinking of..." Gwen was cut midstance as Luz swung the sword down as it struck the potion seller's knee as he screamed in both pain and agony as Luz swung and swung till it his lower knee was cut off as he fainted. "Now wrap it before the blood loss gets to him!"
Gwen then wrapped the wound with a banner flag while Luz reached for the bag. "Leave it." "What?" Luz asked in disbelief.
"We can't carry both him and the potions." "Last time I checked your idea of helping almost got both your daughters to kill each other!" Luz yelled.
"I know but we can just leave and come back for it later just take what you can carry," Gwen told her.
"But..." "Now Luz!" Luz then stopped for a moment before taking her cape and putting as many potions and Elixer it could hold which was very little. "Now help me carry him." Luz and Gwen then carried Mort by his arms as they carried him to the house or what they saw as something odd as they kicked the door open as Hooty yelled.
"Sorry about that but..." "Get in here she's getting worse!" King shouted as Gwen then laid the unconscious Mort on the couch as Luz grabbed an Elixer and saw Lilith partly half-beast scratching at Hooty who continued wrapping himself around her as Luz then popped open the Elixer and forcefully shoved the Elixer down Lilith's throat as she changed back her eyes watery red as tears came out of here.
"It's alright it..." "Stay away from me!" Lilith shouted as she backed into a corner and curled into a ball rocking back and forth as Luz tried to comfort her.
"Hey, this isn't your fault." "Yes, it is everything is happening because of me..." Lilith said as tears came out of her.
"No, listen Eda may have never forgiven you but your mom does don't see yourself as you are now see this as a fresh start." "You really think that?"
Luz was about to speak when she heard Mort scream "Calm him down before he gets worse!" Luz told Gwen as Lilith was confused."What are you talking about Luz?"
Luz and Lilith walked down to find him awake and screaming at the sight of his bandaged stump. "What happened!?" "It was the only way to save him from infection."
Soon after a bit of talking Mort eventually calmed down a bit but was still in shock at what Luz had done. "You left it all!" "Really that's what's on your mind right now!?" Lilith asked him.
"The leg I can deal with but do you left a month's worth of stuff behind and you only have an elixir that'll last a few days!" Mort shouted.
"Well, I'm not going back out there in the dark," Gwen said as Luz came with a solution. "Fine, we'll rest and heard out tomorrow morning all of us minus Mort and Hooty got that?"
Everyone nodded as they then slept while Lilith was still awake as she got up and went to the bathroom looking at herself in the mirror. "A fresh start for myself." She told herself as she grabbed some shampoo and scissors as she started removing a bit of the dye from her hair before cutting it short as she looked at the mirror again and her hair was back to its original orange color minus the small grey streak as she then changed out her robes for something she saw as "Simple" which was human clothing as she put on her clothes that she has during her first few days staying at the owl house but replaced the battery shirt for a jacket as she put on her old playing gloves and old glasses before writing a note and taping it to Hooty as she walked back using the alleyways to get past the revenants as she found the shop and slowly entered it before finding the sack.
"How much stuff do we need?" Lilith asked herself as she started to drag the bag as front door opened and she quickly hid behind the shop counter while the sound of footsteps came in followed by voices
"Another dead end." One of them said. "Just find anything useful for the medical situation." Another voice replied.
"Like an entire room of healers and potion makers isn't enough." One of them said as another then argued "Hey healing takes medicine and potions take ingredients so just stick with the plan and... what are you doing?"
Lilith slowly peaked as she saw at least four people dressed in a mixture of letterman jackets and playing armor holding makeshift weapons with cloth wrapped around their faces as one of them started tagging the wall.
"This again?" A thief told their companion "What?, it's to make sure that we've already been here."
"You know the "Captain" doesn't like it." "And we don't like calling her that so it's even."
Lilith slowly crouched down only to slip as the sack then fell as a few bottles rolled onto the floor. "Hey "Kitty" check it out." "Would you stop with the nicknames it's annoying and mother of titan hey there's a whole batch of... AHH!"
"Kitty" then screamed as Lilith quickly tackled them as she grabbed the bag and a shard of glass which she placed on the would be thief's neck. "OK let's just calm down a bit, just let her go." One of them told Lilith while another held a crossbow in thier hands.
"This bag is mine and my family's just try and follow and your friend's blood is spilled. "Just listen to her..." The captive thief told her companions as one of them tried to aim for Lilith. "Can't get a clear shot."
Lilith then laughed a bit as she slowly backed towards the door "You can go back to your "Captain" and tell her no one messes with a..." WHAM!
Lilith then let the thief go as she dropped the bag and stumbled a bit before collapsing with the back of her head was bruised as a Grudgby ball chained to a pole swung a bit before stopping.
"Sorry she got the..." "Save it Cat and take the bag before any revenants show up and Skara next time if Cat is in danger just shoot her between the eyes." The "captain" told them.
"You don't really mean that right "Captain"?" Amelia asked as "Captain" replied, "Does it look like I'm joking here?!"
They said sternly as Skara and Cat lowered thier heads. "Good now let's get out of here and move on and Bo cut it with the tagging will you!" "What about her?" Amelia asked pointing to the unconscious Lilith.
"She's an adult and we don't have that many around plus we can't just leave her here!" Skara yelled as Bo and Amelia started to drag Lilith as their leader groaned. "Alright fine we'll take her back with us and hopefully she'll live longer than the faculty did."
They then tossed the bag and gently placed Lilith on the back of a cart as the five of them then got on as Skara then started ridding the cart with a pigeon grifon. "You know Viney will kill us if she finds out." "Hey it's still alive isn't it?" Boscha rolled her three eyes as they rode off as Bo tagged the front of the shop with the words Banshees were here.
