"She awake yet?" Boscha asked as Cat checked her pulse. "She's still breathing that's a good thing right?"
"Yeah if she stops just dump her." Cat and the other three looked at her in fear. "Is it me or is she getting more aggressive?"
Skara whispered as Boscha took over ridding as she snatched the reins from her Second-in-command and then stopped as the griffon screeched as the path was blocked with Revenants.
"Ok everyone in formation, protect the bird and the bag use the woman as a damn shield if you have to!" Boscha yelled as the five then got out and started killing the Revenants with Skara taking long shots with her crossbow while Cat, Amelia, and Bo used makeshift spears to shove and stab the dead while Boscha simply twirled her Grudgby mace and swinging it at close range before breaking a Revenant's legs and then stomped it's head in with her cleats.
"Whooo! the end of the world is fucking awesome!" "Your kidding right?" Cat asked her "Shut up Cat," Skara told her as she reached for another bolt from her quiver as a Revenant then bit its teeth into her shoe as she then stabbed it.
"Oh, titan! just end me quickly!" "Stop being a baby, we wear these shoes for a reason just take the damn shoe off," Boscha told Skara as she did to find no bites or scratch marks. "See, now that that's all cleaned up let's..." SMASH!
The five then turned around to see Lilith holding the bag as she tripped and fell breaking a few bottles inside it. "After her!" Boscha yelled as a still dazed Lilith weakly walked into an alleyway as Skara then gave chase and tackled her as the two struggled as Lilith then drove her teeth into Skara's left arm. "Let go!" Skara then started punching her face as Boscha once again rolled eyes before the rest then pulled Lillith off and started kicking as Bo was struck in the head by a wooden staff as Cat was punched in the face and struck a wall knocking her out as Luz and Gwen popped from the other side of the alley as Boscha then grabbed a potion from the bag and tossed it on the floor as it broke into acid while Skara and Amelia grabbed Lilith as Boscha swung the ball at her knocking her out.
"We're leaving!" Boscha yelled as Amelia then asked "What? but what about." Boscha then grabbed a Megaphone and shouted "LISTEN HUMAN YOU TILL TOMORROW TO BRING THE BAG AND MY FRIENDS IN ONE PIECE OR... uh... JUST DRIVE!" Boscha shouted as the three of them took off.
"Lily..." "Hey it's alright she'll be alright, I hope," Luz told Gwen as the two of them then hunkered down at the tavern as they tied Bo and Cat as the two were now waking up to a very angered Gwen.
"Why is she starring at us like that?" Bo asked as Gwen replied to him. "Your little group took my only living child!" She screamed as she then held a knife to their necks as the two captives screamed as Luz quickly gagged them to keep them quiet. "Just be quiet please she didn't mean that."
"Oh, I did," Gwen said sternly with a mad glare in her eyes. "You probably broke her ribs well let's see what a punctured lung feels like for you!"
"Gwen, you're not helping and torture isn't going to make things easy for Lilith. Luz told Gwen a Cat then spoke but only muffed noise came out "mmph?"
Luz then took the gag off Cat as she spoke "Wait as in the Ex coven leader?" "Yeah, why?" Luz asked Cat as she replied, "Oh uh well if you listen to us we can resolve this problem peacefully and ..Bo!"
Bo who managed to break the ropes quickly made a dash for the cellar door as Luz then swung her staff at his legs as he pulled it open causing him to slip and tumble down the stairs as he started screaming. Luz then went down while Gwen watched Cat.
Luz walked down the cellar to find Bo screaming. "What is it?" He simply pointed as Luz looked in his direction to see the place was flooded with red wine as a few Revenants roamed before turning at them. "Just get up." Bo then did as he then screamed again. "Something has me!"
Luz then grabbed Bo and began to drag him up as he screamed more as she then stumbled and saw his leg was caught to a chained beartrap. "Oh, now they work!?" Luz said in annoyance as she then struggled to open the trap and Bo's screams of pain didn't help as Gwen and Cat came down.
"Oh, my Titan Bo!" "Get it off me!" Bo screamed at Cat.
"Can't believe I'm doing this." Luz then handed Cat her staff. "Just cover us will you." "Anything for him." Cat replied blushing a bit as she then started fighting the revenants while Luz and Gwen began to pull open the trap off Bo's foot as then sprung it open. "Cat we got him." Cat then turned around a revenant then grabbed her as they then went under.
"CAT!" Bo screamed as the red wine leaking made it hard to see what was happening as Cat emerged from the wine as she held the revenant's head before bashing it at a wall over and over.
Soon the four of them were back on the wooden floor as Gwen chained the cellar door shut while Luz was giving Cat water as she started getting drunk having swallowed some of the wine.
"I love you so much HIC!" She said as she started making smooching noises at Bo who was feeling embarrassed. "How long till she gets a hangover?" Bo asked. "Three hours," Gwen told him while Luz was wrapping Bo's foot with bandages as he drank a potion to soothe the pain.
"So can we trust her word?" Luz asked Bo who then spoke. "Boscha might an ass but she cares for us we've been together since the first day we were part of the Grudgby team."
"So Banshes huh still keeping the school spirit alive?" Luz asked, "It still is." "What?"
Cat then joined in while still a bit drunk "The first few days were hard, lost nearly the whole faculty minus the school nurse and a few teachers but soon just one Revenant walks in and now it's just the damn nurse who can barely keep up with the demands for meds and potions for our healing/potions group. Cat told Luz who was shocked by the news.
"Wait the students are keeping the place together?" Bo replied "Yeah and since we were all part of the Grudgby team we were made into what you would call the scavenging group, we've been lucky that most of the local stores had supplies but it wasn't till the potions store that uh this whole thing happened."
"Luz a word."Gwen then pulled Luz aside "What?" "You can't possibly believe all that is true, they could be lying and just e living by themselves." "I saw a Griffin that belongs to someone I know from Hexside and with any luck, my friends could be there plus it would be nice to see how's it holding up." Luz said.
"And Lilith?" Gwen asked with worry. "Like they said they were low on staff so she might be alright plus with you and mort we could bring Hexside back to its feet." "How do you know that?" "Know what?" Luz asked in confusion.
"Nothing," Gwen said while whistling as Luz then told Gwen to bring the rest of the group as the next day the two groups then met in the town square with Mort using a spare crutch from Eda's human junk pile to walk as Boscha and the rest of her group arrived. "You guys alright?" "Skara I'm doing the talking," Boscha said as Luz looked around.
"Wait where's Lilith?' "Bring her in." Amelia then pulled Lilith from the cart as her face was bruised and her nose was bleeding.
"What the hell? we didn't hurt your friends!" "Bo is bleeding." Boscha argued, as Luz then said "Boscha he had an accident."
"Bullshift now give me my friends and the fucking bag now!" The triclops demanded as Luz told her "After you answer this question."
"UGH! fine." "What do you think about having an extra pair of hands to help Hexside." Luz asked.
Boshca's face of boastfulness and leadership then changed to one of relief and sadness as tears came out of her eyes. "What do you know about influboilenza?" "Uh..."
Lilith then responded, "A virus strain that gives its victims hard breathing problems while also sprouting blood and pus exploding boils which results in blood loss the last time it spread was during the "Savage ages" killing nearly thousands although now it can be cured."
Everyone was now starring at Lilith who then answered "Edayln used to steal medical books from the library to secretly get better at the healing track when we were attended and I just got into reading textbooks."
Luz then slowly placed the bag on the floor before releasing Bo and Cat as Boscha gave Skara the go-ahead as she then untied Lilith while Amelia grabbed the bag as both groups slowly backed away. "WAIT!" Boscha yelled as Luz turned around.
"Is it true what you said?" "Yeah what's it to you?" "My... mom..." In all her time at Hexside Luz had seen Boshca be so... vulnerable. "You can come with us if you want." "Boscha you know what, "Headmaster thinks about..." Skara told her.
"Damn it I don't care! plus you guys have your own friends who are on the brink of life and death!"
She said panting before turning back to Luz. "So what do you say?" "I say school is back in session!" Luz shouted in delight as she then hugged Boshca who then held her back. "Ok, I don't think we're there just yet." Now the nine people then got on the cart as Luz took the reins and rode it down the path towards Hexside.
