Luz gently petted the griffon as she rode it along with her group and the Banshees back to Hexside as she changed into her mixed color uniform as Skara looked at her. "what are you doing?" "What if I'm going back might as well look the part right?" Luz asked as the Banshees starred at each other as Boscha then announced "We're here." To say Hexside was the same was another understatement as a few coven banners were torn and burning along with a few flags.

"What happened?" Luz asked as Cat replied, "We set them ablaze as a way to get some light during the dark, not to mention it helps when a few revenants walk around during at night not to mention we made several Bonfires to burn the ones we kill, who knew rotten flesh makes good kindling?"

Sure enough, there were about four large Bonfires around the edges of the school as most of the windows were boarded up with planks and wires as a few spikes were around the front door as they got off as Amelia took the reins of the griffon while Cat and Bo carried the bag as Boscha then knocked on the door.

"Hey open up, we've got a month's worth of stuff!" She yelled as the door opened as a few students pulled the doors open as the Banshees and Luz's group walked in and looked around as a student from the healing track walked with them.

"Any update?" Boscha asked him as he replied "Well uh..." "Spit it out!" Boscha ordered as they then stopped to see more healing students wearing bandanas on their mouths drag out at least five sheeted bodies with blood leaking from the heads.

"Skara, Bo help them," Boscha told them as they covered their mouths and dragged the bodies outside, and tossed it into a large pit that was half full. Lilith and Mort then went inside the healing room before quickly backing out of it as Mort threw up.

"Oh, titan the smell," Lilith said gasping for air. "What's inside?" Luz asked as a voice answered her question. "About thirty oh wait make it twenty-five students infected with influboila."

Luz then turned around to see her old detention track friend Viney wearing an apron and scrubs with her fishing hook earrings. "Viney!" "Ok not too close!" Viney told Luz as the apron was stained with blood as Luz questioned her about it. "You don't want to know." "I won't ask but who else is here?"

Luz asked her as Viney then changed out of her clothes to her mixed track uniform before tossing the scrubs in a basket with other dirty and stained clothing. "Just follow me, Boscha just show the adults their tasks."

"Excuse me?" "Lilith asked as the Banshees then lead them into another hallway while Viney spoke with Luz. "Well, you'll be happy to know that Barkus and Jerdo are with us although Barkus is pretty busy helping the potion students and Jerbo is with the plant track trying to use the greenhouse as a garden don't know how long the canned food will last."

"Wait what about Willow and Gus?" Luz asked. "Oh, they're fine although there have been a few changes to the school," Viney told her as she sweated a bit which concerned Luz. "You alright vines?" "Yeah, why wouldn't I be? Viney said trying to keep a straight face.

"Here we are the lounge," Cat told the adults as she opened the door letting Lilith, Gwen, and Mort walk in to find it almost empty minus two other adults them being the school nurse Stevan and a pink-skinned woman with two eyes and glasses with small boils on her a few of them having popped leaving blood and pus leaking out.

"Why isn't she quarantined with the other infected?" Gwen asked as Boscha explained, "She's only at the first stages plus she's my mother." "Hon it's alright I can just look myself in an empty classroom if that makes the others safe." Boscha's mother Elizabeth said while coughing as Mort looked and checked her. "She just has boils and very hard breathing."

He told them as Lilith then gave Elizabeth a small potion. "Here it should help with any heating you may get." "Thank you... wait, Lily?" "You know here?" Boscha asked as Lilith replied, "Have you never looked at the old yearbooks?"

Boscha then left the room as the Banshees followed her while the five adults started talking. "Well it's not great but it's the only thing we have," Jerbo told Luz as she was in the cafeteria with the three detention track students as she looked at her tray of canned meat and beans. "You sure this isn't expired?" "Barkus doesn't mind do you?" Viney asked the dog/human hybrid as he dug his face into the tray.

"So a garden huh? and what happened to plant abominations?" Luz asked Jerbo who then choked on his food a bit before swallowing. "Uh well it takes magic and since that's limited we've mostly been saving most of the leftover goo for emergencies only Headmaster's rules." He said as Viney then kicked his leg.

"OW!" "Wait but you said the entire faculty was lost?" Luz questioned them as the four of them had an awkward moment of silence. "What?" "Uh, Luz we don't really talk about it," Jerbo told her as Viney and Barkus excused themselves. "Come on I'm sure your other friends will be happy to see you." "Alright?"

Jerbo then lead Luz outside as she saw that most of the classrooms were boarded shut while the gymnasium was locked and chained as she tried to look inside as Jerbo grabbed and dragged her away from it.

"So it's settled then?' Gwen asked Elizabeth who responded "Yes I'm sure you'll be welcomed into our "Board"." The adults then laughed as they drank apple blood. "So now with enough supplies and medicine, we should be able to help cure and recover the infected." Stevan told them as Lilith carefully looked at him.

"Throughout my short time here tutoring my former apprentice I swear I've never seen you here or on the staff list, are you even qualified?"

"Lilith!" Gwen scolded her daughter "What? Mort here can probably do a better job than him."

"I wouldn't go that far," Mort said as Stevan simply starred at his stump. "What?" "Your leg was it a revenant?" "Why do you ask."

Mort slowly scooted his chair back. "I just want to take a look." The nurse said as Lilith and Gwen felt goosebumps on their skin as Elizabeth then stood up and coughed a bit.

"Well I don't know about you but I think it's time we get some rest." "I agree," Lilith told her as Elizabeth coughed more and more as she spat out blood. "You alright?" "Mort asked her as Elizbeth then dropped her mug and collapsed on the floor. "Get her to the healing room now!" Lilith yelled as Stevan looked in confusion. "Huh? oh right!"

The four of them then rushed Elizbeth to the healing room as they found the bag on the floor. "Why aren't they stocked in cabinets!?" Mort asked as Stevan then cleared a table as Gwen and Lilith placed Elizabeth down as she coughed blood which then went in front of Lilith's face as she quickly washed it off with a wet cloth.

"Just breath you're going to be fine," Gwen told Elizabeth who struggled to speak as Mort placed an IV into an arm and a cold towel on her head as she was burning up before placing a straw in her mouth and popped open a potion as she slowly slurped it.

"How's she doing doc?" Gwen asked as Stevan struggled to speak. "Keep up the work Mort I'm going to check the other patients." He then left the room as he then knocked on the door of the principal's door as it opened and he stepped inside.

"Uh, permission to speak "Headmaster"?" "You may." A deep voice answered covered by the darkness of the room as Stevan talked.

"Well, the Banshees managed to bring meds and potions along with... some company." "Company?"

Stevan froze a bit as he sweated. "Just three adults and some human girl they shouldn't be..." "A problem? you know I just have you replaced with one of them."

At that point, Stevan then dropped to his knees. " "Headmaster" please you don't know what..." "SILENCE!, now tell the Banshees to go on another supply run and tell them to take the human this instant."

"But sir it's night and we barely have enough wood for the fires outside the school and why this..." "Do not question my authority!" Stevan then stayed silent.

"Tell me out of all the tracks here which ones are actually useful for us now?" "Potions, plants, healing, beast keeping, construction, and maybe abomination?" "You are correct about those like anyone needs a bard, a bloody oracle, or an illusion it's safer just to cut the losses."

Stevan then looked up. "You don't mean..." "This illness is killing us faster than the revenants so it's safer just to cut the useless tracks." "They still breath." "For how long doctor? how long, you may leave."

Stevan then took his leave as he entered the main room with the ill as he then carefully looked at the tracks of the students as he wrote them down as Skara then entered with her face covered. "The headmaster told me to see you." "Uh, Skara right? An emergency supply run is in order right now."

Skara was then consufsed. "We just brought enough stuff for..." Stevan then cut her off. "There's a healing clinic a few miles out the headmaster says that most of this stuff will run out soon not to mention that the garden the plant track proposed is moving slowly so there's a risk of food shortage and there's a large warehouse club that should be ripe for the taking."

Skara then held her head. "Ok hold up we mostly do one spot at a time." "Which is why you Banshees are getting new recruits."

"WHAT!?" Boshca yelled as Skara told her the news. "Headmasters orders." "Right now? who the hell is going to volunteer to go on a run at night?!" Skara then handed her a small list of names.

"They see us as heroes and we should give them a chance," Cat told Boscha who held her head in disbelief. "It's fucking suicide, we've only been to the town this is at least miles away from there!" "Also uh Luz is going with us."

"Do the adults know about this?" Amelia asked Cat as she shrugged while Bo showed up outside with at least ten students and Luz. "Ok before you say anything they know the layout and they're good with weapons kind of..." Luz then looked at the group which consisted of several Bard, Oracle, and Illusion students. "Something feels off about this."

Boscha then stood up on top of the cart with a torch and megaphone. "Listen up I'm glad you all decided to join us for the extra help but remember that some of you have never been outside the school walls so we're splitting into two groups, group one will be Cat, Amelia, and Bo and five of you as you'll be heading to the Clinic for more medical supplies and hopefully some oxygen for the ones who have severe cases of the illness, Me, Skara, Luz and the other five will head to a warehouse store for food and more fortification for the school got that?"

The group then cheered as another cart driven by worm rats was brought as the two groups then went their separate ways. In the healing room, Stevan was starring at a member of the oracle track who was breathing slowly while coughing as he looked around before snatching the student's pillow and quickly started smothering them as he struggled to keep it quiet as the student then opened their mouth about to yell as Stevan quickly drove a scalpel into their neck as blood squirted out staining the doctor's clothes as he quickly shut the door and dumped the scalpel into a trash can as he took off his coat and tossed it in the laundry and ran not hearing the slight sound of rasping moaning coming from the healing room.
