"Do we have to?" Camilla then bent down and looked at her daughter.

"Mija this is going to be a good experience for you to get some fresh air in the woods." "But are we actually moving?" "I told you it's only for your summer break also it's part of my nurse summer training program." "Alright."

Soon an express shuttle arrived as they then boarded as Luz began reading her books before falling asleep and was woken up by her mother as she saw a sign that read WELCOME TO GRAVITY FALLS,NOTHING TO SEE HERE FOLKS! Luz was confused by the meaning of it as she and here mother got off as they then checked into a small motel for the summer. "Why don't you try to befriend the local children?" "Alright." Luz then took her book as she studded the town but found it to be dull and boring and soon after trying to befriend a few of the children she thought they were weird even for her. Luz simply put her face inside her book for the first day of her summer and the next day was the same but the third day her mother had a surprise for her.

"We're leaving early?" "No i found you a summer job!" "What!?" "Yes it's just not to far from here let me show you."

They then walked for a few minutes (With Luz reading her book on the way) as Luz then saw a shack/store with the words Mystery HACK on top with the S on the floor. "Todo este lugar es una estafa/this whole place is a scam." Luz said as they entered as the walked into what looked like a small chat. "All right, all right, look alive, people. I need someone to go hammer up these signs in the spooky part of the forest."

A man in his mid 50/late 60's wearing a black suit holding an eight ball cane with an eye-patch and red Fez said as two children and an adult male then said at the same time. "Not it!" He then turned and looked at a teenage girl with a green cheek pattern sweatshirt and brown Ushanka with ginger hair reading a magazine as he told her "Wendy, I need you to put up this sign!" Wendy didn't even look away from her magazine as she lifted her arm. "I would, but I, ugh, can't, ugh, reach it, ugh..." Camilla then knocked on the wall as they stopped talking and looked as the old man walked up to them.

"Ooh! new customers,I'm Stan man of mystery what can i offer you today," "I was told about a job offer for my daughter." Luz then simply waved as the man lifted his eye-patch and looked at her. "This one? Not much but it'll work might even put her with my kids in here if you want her to stay here instead of walking."

Camilla then looked at the two children and asked "Do you hire children?' "Oh them no they're my family staying here the whole summer while also doing some labor work on the side." "See mija there's people you age here and you can also get a small pay and a room what do you say?"

Luz thought about it she would be staying with complete strangers but they had children her age what plus Stan looked like a scammer maybe she could learn a few tricks and use them when she got back. "Alright i'm in." Camilla then hugged her.

"I'll bring your stuff here tomorrow morning,I love you Cuídate/take care and watch out for your lactose intolerance." Camilla then left as Luz then did a militarily salute at Stan. "Alright what's my first job?" "Like i was telling these dimwits,just place these signs around the area."

Luz read one of them as it said No Refunds or Cops! and another reading To The Mystery Shack "That's what this is called? also your S fell off." Luz then took a mallet,nails and her book in case of boredom before placing signs on the ground as she put a nail on a tree and hit it at it felt hollow Luz smacked it again and opened it to find a mechanical box with two control switches on top as she began flickering them as she heard a goat bleat and turned around and saw a goat eating grass. "Oh que lindo!/how cute!" Luz then took out her phone to take a photo of it as the ground the goat was standing on opened as it ran away Luz then looked inside and found a red book inside it as she picked it out and blew dust off it as she was about to open it she heard a hoot and saw and small owl using it's talons to pick up her book,put it inside a sack and fly off with it. "Tiny thief!" Luz screamed as dropped the journal before she ran after it as it went into the woods she then ducked to avoid getting hit by a branch as the owl then went into the town and stopped at a door where it pecked it's beak as it opened,the owl then went in. "Oh no you don't!" Luz said as she jumped in at the last second and then fell into a flesh made hole before landing into a pile of Garbage,Luz stood up and pulled a banana peel out of her hair as she looked at her surroundings to find what looked like a literal underground market with strange and weird creatures as she saw a sign reading NO HUMANS ALLOWED! before seeing the owl walking in the floor carrying the sack as she used her cat hoodie to blend in and continued following it as it went into a tent as she looked around and saw objects in boxes Marked Candy,unknown,and human body parts. Luz gagged after reading it "Whoa. I thought I had a lot of weird stuff." "Your back." Luz hid under a box as she peaked her head and saw a woman with long grey hair,gold colored nails wearing a ripped two-tone maroon dress,grey leggings,and red heels as she the owl then dropped the sack and landed on a staff the woman was holding as she turned it around as it became part of the staff before she started searching the sack.

"Now let's see what we've got here,Garbage,garbage... garbage. (gasps) Now, this..." The woman was now wearing a pair of bobbly eyeglasses "This will make me rich!,And this... Oh, this will make good kindling. She picked up the book as she began holding it next to a candle "NO!" Luz then snatched it from her. "Excuse me, sorry, it's mine, thank you." Luz then tripped and fell as she hoodie fell off her head as she was grabbed by the woman and tossed her into a chair. "I'm so sorry! I just wanted my book! If you're gonna eat my skin, just make it quick! Just do it now!" She yelled holding her arm as the woman simply snorted.

"Listen little one how about you forget about this place,i'm sure i have a memory erasing spell,trust me you'll want to forget about this place." "Spell?,wait are you a..." "Witch?,you bet your round ears i am!"

The woman then stood up on top of her stand and announced "I'm Eda the Owl Lady, the most powerful witch from the Boiling Isles!,I am a respected, feared and you little human have nothing to..." "HUMAN!?" "Oops..." Luz was then snatched up by a net by a large troll as everyone was starring at her as a demon stood up holding a Gavel and put a small sign on a stand saying Auction as he spoke

"Right here right now we have a young human do i hear a bid for one thousand!?" "Wait just erase my memory!" "Too late kid!" "Two thousand!." "I raise to five!"

Eda was checked her purse and pulled out a single gold coin. "Great now i have to rescue her before Mister what's-his-face or slender get her first!" She said while starring at a faceless white creature wearing a black tux was patting himself. "Where's my wallet!" He said as Eda then quickly shouted out "ONE MILLION!" the crowd was silent as the Gavel was slammed. "SOLD!" "What!?" Luz exclaimed as she was then dropped into the witch's arms. "Now what will it be?" "This." Eda quickly tossed a Smoke bomb to the ground to the floor as she grabbed Luz.

"This is crazy. If I die here, my mom's gonna kill me!" "Ha! I won't let 'em hurt you. A human like you is much more valuable to me alive than dead. "Wait. What's that supposed to‐‐"

Eda then waved her hand as her stand turned into a Bindle which she wrapped on her staff as she the tapped the end as the owl then spread it's wings. "Hit it Owlbert!" The staff the flew as Luz grabbed Eda's hand and was now screaming in both joy and fear as they flew out of the market. "You won't get away with this, Owl Lady! Yeah, all right. You did. You got away with it. She got away with it, everybody! Typical." The auctioneer said before walking off. Luz opened her eyes and screamed as she was now in the air.

"Flying staffs, crazy monsters, you're a witch‐‐" "Yeah your new here to the place aren't you?" Y. Yes." "Let me tell you something kid everyone thinks this place doesn't exist and the ones who visit either just find it dull or leave with nightmares for life." "But how?" "Sorry can't answer that,no-one knows how or why this place is weird but for me this place reminds me of my home."

They then landed into the woods and went into a makeshift shack. "You live here?" "For now." Eda then opened the door as she placed her staff on a corner before snapping her fingers as the lights came on. "You live here alone?" suddenly the ground started rumbling. "Well i have a roommate." A large shadow then appeared as a voice said "Who dares intrude upon I the king of demons?" A small wolf creature walked out wearing a towel and holding a rubber ducky that he squeezed as Luz gasped before running up and grabbing him. "Ay, que lindo!/How cute! Eda, he's so cute! Who's a widdle guy? Who's a widdle guy? Is it you? Is it you?" The creature then stared yelling at Eda for her to help him.

"Eda, who is this monster?" "Oh, this is Luz, the human She's here to help us with our little... situation!" "Oh well then Hooray!" "Wait, wait, wait. I don't like the sound of this "situation".." "Oh right,i want you to... send this letter to a soon to be ex of mine." "Uh why me?" "I can't do it they'll find me and force marriage me after that i'll send you home how's that sound?" "Sure?" "Great!,just head north until you see a small cave with mushrooms."

Eda then pushed Luz out the door and slammed it as she looked at King. "I hate to interrupt your power nap, but you have to go with her." "What? But I just found the perfect spot. Why do I have to go?" "You and I know she's either going to get lost or eaten, probably both,unless you want to be kicked out and left cold and alone for the rest of your life?"

King then grunted before heading out the door and after a few seconds. "Then again they wanted someone more younger looking..." Eda then grabbed her staff and walked out the door also. Luz,King,and Eda were now in the entrance as they crouched down and went inside to find nothing. "I could have sworn they'd be here by now and.." Soon the sounds of chanting and screams followed as the three of them then hid as a group of gnomes were carrying the girl with the pink sweater Luz had seen at the Mystery Shack as they chanted "Queen,Queen,Queen!" "Oh great!" Eda exclaimed as she stood up and clapped her hands to get their attention. "Alright now let the young one leave this place with me and i won't..." "What the heck is going on here?"

Luz then saw Dipper in a golf cart as a gnome ran up to him and hissed before running off as Mable then shouted at him. "Dipper! Norman turned out to be a bunch of gnomes! And they're total jerks!" She said as a gnome began biting her hair. "Hair! Hair! Hair!" "Alright stop this right now all of you and to think i was going to let you keep her instead." Eda cried out as Luz taking photos "My mom is not going to believe this!" "Ohh Chaos my favorite thing!" King said as he watched as Dipper approached Eda.

"Hey, HEY! Let go of my sister!" "What?,Listen here it's not my fault she's in this also i have a child of my own right then,hey kid what's your name i didn't catch it." "Luz,Luz Noceda,hey dip she's a witch can you believe it!?"

Dipper had just seen Luz as he sighed in relief before pointing a shovel at her. "Give her back right now, or else!" "Hey it's them you want not me,and what can you even do with a..." WHACK! Dipper had simply swung it at Eda's face a bit too hard as her head fell off her body and Rolled over to Luz who picked it up as her,Dipper,and Mable screamed in horror when... "OW!,oh i hate when that happens." Eda said as Luz lifted her up. "Eda are you alright?" "Yeah. This just happens when you get older." "Does it?" Eda's body meanwhile was on the floor trying to find her head as Dipper was now in shock and confusion on why Luz was treating this woman kindly as a Gnome then whistled. "Can you stop that,we're trying to get a queen here." "Kid let go off me."

Luz simply dropped eda's head as she rolled at the gnome. "AHH!" "Relax Jeff it's me you know the one you tied to a tree after i told you about being in love with someone else." "Oh yeah,well i don't need you anymore i have..." Jeff then saw Eda's body untying Mable's ropes as Eda herself blew a raspberry in his face before her body grabbed and reattached itself before grabbing Jeff and drop kicking him. "And we're done here,you kids hurry up and go back home!" She said before knocking away gnomes with her staff as the three kids and king got on the golf cart. "Take us away mere human!" King yelled,Dipper wanted to yell at the creature but simply put on his seat belt and drove off. "Wait what about Eda?" "Who?" "The witch." "Uhm..."

Suddenly the ground started shaking as Dipper looked at the rear view mirror and saw a large gnome made of well.. gnomes with Jeff on top as he shouted "Come back with our queen!" "Wow not how i thought this day would go." Luz said as she grabbed the shovel and threw it at the monster only for it to be caught and tossed right back as it struck the back. "OK that was a bad idea and... Holy!" The monster then pulled a tree from the ground and tossed it like a javelin as Dipper hit the breaks and swerved away from it only for it the cart to tip over and slide as they got out and found themselves at the Mystery shack as Luz held King close to her as the four of them were now backed up against a wall. "Uh, where's Grunkle Stan?!" "Grunkle?" Luz asked as inside the shack. "Behold! The world's most distracting object!" Stan said as he held up a spun a strange pattern on a stick in front of a crowd who got well distracted. "Just try to look away, you can't! I can't even remember what I was talking about." Outside the four of them where now trapped as Jeff then said "It's the end of the line, kids! Mabel, marry us before we do something crazy!" King walked in front of them.

"Your are talking to the King of demons and i command you to..." ROAR! "AHH!" King then cowered behind Luz as Mabel then said ""I gotta do it. "What?! Mabel, don't do this! Are you crazy?" "Trust me." "What?" "Dipper, just this once. Trust me!" Mabel then walked up to them. "All right, Jeff. I'll marry you."

Jeff then screamed in Joy as he then walked down and pulled out a diamond ring. "Now let's get you back into the forest, honey!" "You may now kiss the bride!" "Well, don't mind if I do." Just as he was about to lean over to kiss a loud noise was heard as he was now starring at a leaf blower as he was sucked inside of it. "That's for lying to me and breaking my heart! Mabel said as she aimed it at the gnome made creature. "And THIS is for messing with my brother! and my new Friends!" "Wanna do the honors?" Luz and Dipper held onto it. "One." "Two" "THREE!" The then released as Jeff went flying into the monster as it exploded as gnomes went flying in different directions as The three then went inside while King waited outside as Luz didn't want to give Stan a heart attack by showing him a talking demon dog. Stan then looked at the three of them as they were a mess.

"Yeesh. You kids get hit by a bus or something?" "It's a long story." Luz told him as they three were about to turn in for the night when Stan then said "Uh, hey! W-wouldn't you know it? Um, I accidentally overstocked some inventory, so, uh... how's about each of you take one item from the gift shop? On the house, y'know?" "Really?" Luz said. "Yeah now hurry up before i change my mind."

Dipper took a blue and white hat with a pine tree on the front as he looked at himself in the mirror. "Not bad." Luz was searching for something to match her personality as she settled on a owl pin form a pin box and placed it on her shirt. "And I will have a... GRAPPLING HOOK! Yes!" Mabel yelled out. "Maybe be careful with that." Luz told her but Mable simply fired it into the air and was still holding onto it as it was stuck on a support beam. "GRAPPLING HOOK!"

Luz laughed as the three of them went to bed as she saw dipper holding the journal she had found and asked him "What's that?" Oh uh nothing." "I found it first so i have the right to know." "(Sigh) Alright." Dipper showed her the cover which was a golden six fingered hand print with the number three. "t talks about all the crazy stuff that goes on in Gravity Falls, don't know what it means, or who wrote it but i'm going to find out." "Ooh! Secret past!" "Mable can you get the light?"

Mable then fired her Grappling hook at it shattering the light bulb. Soon everyone was asleep until Luz heard a knock at the window as she opened it and saw Eda and king hovering in midair on the staff.

"Good work kid,now i won't have to worry about being taken in my sleep." "Okay. I know you got your head cut offbut this was the most fun I've ever had. I don't fit in at home. You don't fit in here. If I stay, we could not fit in together." "What are you saying?" "I want to become a witch like you." "What? All right, that's crazy. Humans can't become witches because there's no way of that being possible here." "Maybe that's because they haven't tried. If you teach me to become a witch, I'll do anything you want"

Eda thought about it,what was the worst that could happen? She then stepped in and told her "All right. I'll teach you how to be a witch. But you have to work for me before you learn any spells. Deal?" Luz was at the brink of happy tears that she went and hugged her. Eda smiled as she then got on her staff. "It's going to be hard trying to come up with excuses but how about you learn during you break shifts?" "Sounds great!" "Tomorrow then."

Eda simply nodded before flying away as Luz looked at the bright moon. "I wonder what other secrets are waiting to be unlocked?" She then slept in her sleeping back while downstairs Stan went to the vending machine and began touching the keypad as it then opened to a secret room downstairs as he checked his surondings before closing the machine behind him.
