Welcome back,by the chapter titles it sounds like i'm trying to combine both of the show's episodes which is both yes and no but enough of that and enjoy this family based chapter!

Stop adorably hopping away, you‐‐ Huh?,who's a widdle guy?,GRAPPLING HOOK!

Luz woke up as she then remembered what happened the day before. "It wasn't a dream!" Luz said excitedly as she opened the triangle shaped window and shouted out "Good morning,terrifying fantasy world!" "Keep it down up there!" Stan shouted. "Sorry boss!" "Eh,just call me Stan." Luz then ran downstairs to see the twins having a syrup contest as Mable was now coughing. "Gak!,I win." "Hey don't waste that syrup without me." Luz told them as she sat down with them to eat pancakes while dipper was reading a magazine as he then showed them a page. "Hey look at this!" Luz and Mable gasped as they both said "HUMAN SIZED HAMSTER BALLS?" "Oops wrong page." He then flipped it to a photo advertisement.

"A thousand dollar reward?!" "Yeah to catch a monster photo,We see weirder stuff than that every day! We didn't get any photos of those gnomes, did we?" "No except this hat." "And this beard hair."

Mable then pulled out a stain of hair as Luz gagged a bit as Stan came up to them. "Good morning, knuckleheads. You know what day it is?" "Hmm is your birthday?" "Anniversary?" "Mazel tov!" Stan then hit Dipper in the head with a newspaper. "It's Family Fun Day, genius!,We're cuttin' off work and having one of those, you know,bonding-type deals,and your friend is also going too." "Uh,Grunkle Stan, is this gonna be anything like our last family bonding day?"

Dipper and Mable then flashed-backed to them in the kitchen making counterfeit money while Stan was criticizing them. "You call that Ben Franklin? He looks like a woman!" As a siren was heard followed by flashing lights.

"That county jail was cold." Mabel told Luz while she asked Stan "Why me?" "May have given your mother my phone number for totally non-romantic reasons and also she told me that you need some fresh air,Now who wants to put on some blindfolds and get into my car?" "Yeah!" The three of them shouted as Dipper and Luz then had second thoughts. "Wait what?"

Soon they were now in the back on a car wearing blindfolds while Luz was thinking about Eda. "I told her i'd go to her and now i'm blindfolded in the back of a car like i'm being kidnapped." She thought to herself as she felt a few bumps on the road followed by a crashing noise as the car screeched to a halt. "Okay, okay. Open 'em up!" Stan told them as they got out and took off their blindfolds to find themselves at a lake. "Ta-da! It's fishin' season!" "Fishing? "What're you playin' at, old man?" "You're gonna love it! The whole town's out here!"

Luz then saw that that was true as she saw boats in the area and saw a canoe boat that resembled on owl near the shoreline as she walked towards it. "Uhm excuse me?" Eda turned her head as she was wearing a fishing hat,red jacket,and with gold colored shades glasses which she lifted up. "Kid!,what are you doing here?" "I can ask you the same." "Well.." "I got one!"

King yelled as he pulled out a fish from the water as it smacked him and got away. "Eda!,tell that creature to come back to me or to face my wrath!" "No,well after saving you from my clients now i may have gotten banned from that place and now i'm going to have to find my own food." "Oh Eda,i'm sorry about that." "Don't be it's a nice break,plus i can see how do this "Fishing" thing you humans do,yep it's a nice warm..." " I SEEN IT! I SEEN IT AGAIN!."

Eda moaned in annoyance. "Not again." Luz looked and saw an old man with a long white beard with a bandage for some strange reason running on the docks as he yelled "The Gravity Falls Gobblewonker!,Come quick before it scrabdoodles away!" The man yelled before being sprayed in the face with a spray bottle by a lake employee. "Hey, hey! Now what did I tell you about scaring my customers? This is your last warning, Dad!" "Dad?" Luz said in concussion. "Yeah it's weird." Eda said while King was splashing his hands in the water trying to catch a fish as the crowd that had gathered followed the old man to the dock.

"BEHOLD!" He said as he pointed to a destroyed boat. "It's the Gobble-dy-wonker what done did it! It had a long neck like a gee-raffe! And wrinkly skin like...like this gentleman right here!" Pointing to Stan. "It chawed my boat up to smitheroons, and shim-shammed over to Scuttlebutt Island! YOU GOTTA BELIEVE ME!"

Eda watched from her binoculars as she snickered. "Do you relay think that?" "Kid I've been stuck here for a few years,There's no sea monster on that island,I would have eaten it ages ago." "Eaten?" "Oh yeah she'll eat anything." King told her as he pulled out a fish as Eda quickly snatched it out of his paws and began eating it raw as she spit out the bones as Dipper and Mable ran to Luz. "Luz we have the best idea ever!" "Ah i remember you the kid who took my head off." "Yeah sorry about that,hey you wouldn't mind uhm fishing with our grunkle in our place would you?"

Eda then looked at her binoculars and looked at Stan who was trying to untie his worn old boat. Eda smiled a fake smile. "Sure but you two are going to owe me." "How about a share of the reward money,spit it by four." Dipper said as he showed Eda the Ad "Make it half of the reward and we have a deal." Dipper was annoyed by this woman who reminded him a lot of his uncle as he sighed. "Fine."

They then shook hands as Eda's hand glowed. "Now the everlasting oath has been sealed." "The what now?" Dipper asked as Eda lifted his hand to show a purple brand on it. "You better get that money or else i might just have a first taste of your kind." Eda said as she made a napkin,fork,and knife appear on her. "Now good luck on that monster hunt your going to need it." Eda and King then rowed away while Dipper was shaking in fear. "Don't worry she doesn't actually mean it." "Yes i do!" Eda shouted at them. Soon they were on a boat with the shack repairman Soos who luckily for Dipper simply wanted to be part of the adventure and not the reward.

"Alright. If we wanna win this contest, we've gotta do it right! Think. What's the number one problem with most monster hunts?" Dipper asked as Luz responded with "Weather of not your going to run away after seeing it?" "No, no, no. Camera trouble!" He said as he pulled out a camera and opened it showing that there was no film inside. "Ah got it." "That's why I bought seventeen disposable cameras!, Two on my ankle, three in my jacket, four for each of you, three extras in this bag, and one... under my hat! There's no way we're gonna miss this. Okay everybody, let's test our cameras out!"

Luz took a photo of the lake,While soos accidentally tossed his camera overboard. "Oops Sorry dudes." "You see? This is exactly why you need backup cameras. We still have sixteen!" Mable then tossed a camera at a seagull. "OK fifteen." Luz then put the rest of the cameras in a zip lock bag to prevent them from getting wet. "Now we set sail!" She said while standing on the ship's edge.

Stan watched them leave until they were out of his view. "Traitors! Ah, I'll find my own fishing buddies!" "Your looking for a buddy?" Stan turned around and saw Eda rowing next to him as King was still trying to catch a fish. "Uh... yeah?" "Well your in luck." Eda told him before King then screamed out "YES!,I HAVE ONE IN MY GRA..." Eda quickly covered him mouth as she tossed the fish back into the water.

"Did you pooch,just talk?" "Yes!,i mean... he's was part of a animal test thing i freed him from." "Oh that's... great for.."

Stan stopped as he saw a couple as he started steering away from Eda who starts rowing her boat also as King was waving his arms in the water also as they were now next to a couple the boyfriend making a proposal as Stan interrupted them. "Wanna hear a joke? Here goes. My ex-wife still misses me...but her aim is gettin' better!,Her aim is gettin' better!,Y'see, it's-it's funny because marriage is terrible." Yeah it is." Eda commented as the couple rowed away from them. "You've been married?" Stan asked as Eda blushed a bit. "You can say that."

"Mabel now's not the time to be playing with birds." Dipper told his sister who was opening and closing the mouth of a pelican while Luz was standing on the front of the boat being the lookout as she cried out "Land!" Soos then stopped the boat as the four of them got out as they found a sign saying Scuttlebutt Island as they heard a loud growl. "Dude, did you guys hear that?" "What was that? "Was it your stomach?" "Nah, my stomach normally sounds like whale noises." Luz and Mable then pressed their ears on his stomach as it actually sounded like a whale "Wow. So majestic." "Cool." Dipper was now getting annoyed by his friends antics. "Duuude, I dunno, man. Maybe this, uh... Maybe this isn't worth it." "Not worth it? Guys, imagine what would happen if we got that picture!"

The three of them then thought about it,Luz thought about proving that cryptids existed to the world,Dipper wanted to be famous,and Mable just wanted her human hamster ball. They followed the noise as they saw a foggy figure. "There it is!,I knew it! I always suspected there was a reason nobody understood my wacky antics back at home. Now I have concrete proof." Luz cried out. "Everyone Get your cameras ready!" Dipped told them as they all charged at it taking photos only to stop and see it was just an old ship wreak with beavers making a dam on it. "No! What?" Luz screamed out as Dipper was confused. "But... but what was that noise, then? I heard a monster noise!" They then saw a beaver biting on a chainsaw as the saw would activate when it was bitten on. "Sweet! Beaver with a chainsaw." Soos said. "Maybe that old guy was crazy after all."

Now Eda,King (Still trying to fish with his hands) and Stan were now helping a young boy with a fishing knot."Look, when you're threadin' the line-lot of people don't know this-but you wanna use a barrel knot. He then whispered That's a secret from one fishing buddy to another!" "And also try lifting the rod a bit so the bait will see like it's alive." Eda said to the child who was confused. "Who are you two,and why is your doggy talking." "Do not insult the king of demons you IDIOTIC MORTAL!"

King screamed out as the child was now crying as his parents looked at them as the mother told them "Why are you talking to our son? If you don't leave right now, I'm calling the police!" "Police?,not today!" Eda yelled out as she then pulled out her staff as she slammed it as a large title wave appeared out of nowhere and crashed on the boat causing the family to float in the water as Eda quickly rowed her boat away as Stan pulled on his boat engine only for it to start smoking so reached for his emergency paddle only find it missing. "What the..." "Sorry!" Eda called out as she was rowing with two paddles as Stan grabbed a floating stick and groaned as he struggled rowing his boat.

"What're we gonna say to Grunkle Stan? We ditched him over nothing." Dipper said while Luz sat down,Mabel was showing her braces to the beavers and Soos was taking photos of a beaver who was posing as the ground shook "Hey... guys, do you feel that?" He asked as Luz,Mabel,and Luz froze in fear. "Hey come on guys what's wrong?" "Behind you..." Luz whispered as Dipper turned around and saw a large sea monster as it roared. "RUN!" Everyone then quickly ran back to the boat as Soos quickly started the boat as they drove away as the Gobblewonker swam after them, "Someone get a photo!" Dipper yelled as Luz's camera fell overboard,Mabel's was cracked,and Soos was throwing the rest of them. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" "Oh! I still got one left! Don't worry, dude!" Soos then tossed a camera at dipper as it hit a wall and broke. "Go faster!" Luz said as she tossed a large barrel of bait into the lake as the boat gained more speed.

Elsewhere Stan was now alone as Eda was now fishing in peace with King. "Ah this is the perfect spot." Eda rested her feet in the boat while king was still splashing his arms in the water. "ARHH! why is this so Hard!?" "Hey." King saw Stan row up to him. "Yes,You mortal you will help me get a servant for life!" Stan then handed him a fishing pole. "Ooh! a weapon perfect!." King then stared threw the rod into the lake as it simply floated as he picked it up and tried again. "Why did i even think about giving it to a dog?" "I am not a.." Eda then covered his mouth as she grabbed the rod. "Like this."She then swung the rod as the lure fell into the lake. "Now you just hold onto it and wait for..."

Both parties where then splashed by water from a speeding boat as Eda heard Luz's screaming. "I don't like this." She was then splashed again by the Gobblewonker as she saw it. "I really don't like this." She then rowed her boat after them while Stan threw his fishing hat in rage. "BEAVERS!" Luz screamed as they struck a small dam as Beavers flew into the air and fell onto the boat as they began chewing on it. "Ah get them off!" Luz,Dipper,and Soos began grabbing and tossing the beavers at the Gobblewonker as it then dived underwater while Mable was at the wheel as she was starring at a waterfall. "Where do i go?!" Dipper began flipping through the pages of the journal. "Go into the falls I think there might be a cave behind there!" "MIGHT BE?!" "Just do it!" Luz yelled as Mable went at full speed as the boat went inside and crashed into a rock as they all fell onto land as they stood up just as the Gobblewonker showed up and opened it's jaws only to get stuck by the cave entrance. "It's stuck!" "Ha ha! Yeah! Wait...It's stuck?" Dipper then began searching for a camera as Mable lifted his hat as he took the camera and began taking photos.

"Are they good ones?" "THEY'RE ALL GOOD ONES!" "Human sized hamster ball here we come!" "Yes,now i have proof to show the world!"

Just as the Gobblewonker opened it's mouth again it was hit by a blast of light as Eda was panting from rowing holding her staff. "Get away from my kid!" "Eda?" Luz said in concussion as the witch began blasting the monster with spells as she shot a fire spell at it's head as it's skin melted showing metal. "What?" Dipper then walked to it's side and tapped on it. "It's hallow?" "Stay back."

Eda then shot another fire spell at it's side as it melted to see the old man from the docks controlling the machine as he turned around and saw them "Eh? Aww, banjo polish!" He said now being caught. "You made this... but why?" " "Well, I...I, uh...I just wanted attention." "So you built this?" Luz asked as the old man shook his head while Mable then questioned him "Okay, yeah. But why did you do it?" He sighed "Well, when you get to be an old fella like me, nobody pays any attention to you anymore.,My own son hasn't visited me in months!,So I figured maybe I'd catch his fancy with a fifteen ton aquatic robut!" He said laughing before continuing his reason. "In retrospect, it seems a bit contrived. You just don't know the length us old-timers go through for a little quality time with our family."

Both Dipper and Mable then looked at the fishing hats Stan had made them and immediately felt guilty. "I guess the real lake monster is you two.,Sorry, that just like-boom-just popped into my head there." Eda told them. "Have you tried talking to him about how you felt?" Luz told the man. "Let me think..NOPE!, I got to work straight on the robut!,I made lots of robuts in my day!,Like when my wife left me and I created a..." "Yeah yeah we get it!" Eda yelled not wanting to listen to a speech about machines. "Well, time to get back to work on my death ray!" The man said as he ran off while Luz sighed in sadness while Eda talked to her.

"You alright there kid?" "No. I'm just confused." "Thinking of calling it quits, huh?" "This place is nothing like I imagined." "Hmm. Maybe not here. But come with me. I got something to show you,but first."

Eda then walked to Dipper. "So about that money?" "Well uhm you see." "(Snorts) It's alright i was just playing with you i'd never eat a human unless i was desperate... but enough about that." The witch then made a small circle. "There the oath is broken." Eda then slammed her staff on the floor as it floated as Luz and King got on and flew off while Dipper,Mable,and Soos drove back to the dock as they ran into Stan. "What the- Kids? I thought you two were off playing "Spin the Bottle" with Soos!" "Well, we spent all day trying to find a "legendary" dinosaur." "But we realized, the only dinosaur we wanna hang out with is right here."

Stan simply grunted "Save your sympathy! I've been having a great time withoutcha'! Makin' friends, talkin' to my reflection-,I had a run-in with the lake police! Guess I gotta wear this ankle bracelet now, so that'll be fun." He said showing a tracking ankle bracelet. "So... I guess there isn't room in that boat for three more?" Dipper and Mabel then wore their fishing hats as Stan smiled"You knuckleheads ever seen me thread a hook with my eyes closed?""Five bucks says you can't do it!" "You're on!" "Five more bucks says you can't do it with your eyes closed, plus me singing at the top of my lungs!" "I like those odds!"

Dipper then pulled out his Camera "All right, everybody get together. Say fishing!" "Fishing!" After the photo was took they all went to the lake fishing. "So what happened to your friend with the boy hair?" "Oh she's with her own." "Nice,you know funny thing happened today,i meet this strange old yet good looking dame with a strange dog,i swear I've seen her somewhere." He said as the engine started as they set off while Eda,King and Luz where fishing. "See king all you've got to do is wait and..." King lifted his rod which was holding a fish. "Yes i have one in my grasp!" Luz and Eda clapped for King as he held it in his mouth while Luz took a photo of it as they all laughed as the boat shook. "What was that?" "Probably just a rock." Eda said as underneath the Gobblewonker swam underneath.
