Sup, guys? Lighting Wolf here, back with another story, this one about Spider-Man. Enjoy the 800-word chapter. I don't own Spider-Man, Marvel and a few others do.

"Arachny, what's your status?" He heard as he paused to report back.

"Busy checking out an Oscorp prison camp, sir." Arachny stated as he fired off a web line, perching over the crowd.

Below were dozens of prisoners, all from Oscorp. The company was just one large piece of a bigger puzzle. It didn't so much bother him to know this as it did anger him… But he'd be tearing it down soon enough.

"Don't forget, just because of what happened last week? Doesn't make you unstoppable, son." Arachny heard as he shook his head, knowing what he meant.

"I can't just leave them to suffer, civilian or not, sir." Arachny added, leaping onto a lamppost to better survey the situation below. "The entire city is under occupation, if I don't try? What good is being part of the resistance?" Arachny questioned, surveying the opposition as he did so.

There was plenty of guards below, plenty of soldiers working for the corporate empire which was the head of the city. Villains ran rampant over the helpless people here who were little better than their test subjects, slaves to be turned into their own personal army, fresh meat for their twisted experiments… Or just plain killed for amusement.

It sickened Arachny, but he was well aware if he let it get to him? He could kiss the people alive below goodbye. They'd be executed in the streets and used as an example.

"How bad is it, Arachny?" He heard as he paused to think of an answer to said question. "Is there too many for you to take on your own?" Arachny heard to which he rolled his eyes at the moment.

"No, sir. Only a dozen, maybe more." Arachny stated, preparing to fire another web line as he did so. "I can handle them, just get a transport ready, sir. I'll be ready for when it comes down to it. we're get them out of here in one good." Arachny put in, questioning how he'd pull this off.

He chuckled as he thought about how they would have been a week ago. Him a scrawny nerd who was easily outmatched by a simple thug with any amount of muscle. Now? He could throw them around like sacks of patties, it was almost worth a chuckle… If it wasn't going to alert the others to himself.

Arachny flipped into the air, firing off a web line towards one of the soldiers, throwing a sloppy, but powerful kick which knocked the thug off their feet. He stumbled as he landed, forgetting that he was still adjusting to his powers as a whole.

He could only question if that would change. Arachny thought about his next move as he rushed towards the next thug, clenching his fist as he dodged a bullet, his head ringing like a bell as he did so.

The next henchmen were dispatched with a kick to the face. Arachny was quite curious as to what his boss would think about him attacking an outpost like this. It probably would get a shake of the head; he knew for a fact that his boss was quite invested in freeing the city once more. Arachny was going to have to ask.

"Look at me, breaking into a military base to free a handful of prisoners." Arachny stated while he shook his head, dodging more gunfire from them at the second. "I doubt he'd approve." Arachny added as he cracked his fingers.

Arachny rolled into cover, looking around as he brushed off his costume. Arachny could only point out that they had done better then him. Then again? He had only been a member of the resistance for a small part of time. It made him chuckle while he ducked down and looked at the ground as bullets and gunfire flew over his head.

"Surround him, spread out!" Arachny heard from the thugs as he rolled his eyes.

"Man, you idiots have too much money in your bank accounts." Arachny said as he shook his head and leaned down to the ground, preparing for a fight with these thugs.

Arachny looked at these thugs at the moment. He knew for a fact that he'd win once more.

Phew. First chapter done! I want to point out that next chapter will be in 2-10 months and will show both more about Arachny and will show Arachny possibly headed to another multiverse and such. Next chapter will be 900-3500 words and such. Until then, Lighting Wolf out!
