Because I like you

"Lay off Uraraka!"

The angry voice of Bakugou could be heard even before he opened the doors of the dormitories. Todoroki walked out of the kitchen with his huge bag of flaming Cheetos to join his friends in watching a classic romantic comedy. Sero was fighting over the caption settings with Iida while Ashido was braiding Asui's hair. Uraraka had texted the group that she would be a little late but to start without her. And now it was obvious why.

"Kacchan, what's wrong?" Midoriya called out from the other couch. He rolled his eyes at the thrown middle finger instead of a decent answer. They had become closer but Bakugou was in a mood apparently. Todoroki leaned against the back of the couch, opting to open his snack and watch the drama unfolding in real time. Because judging by the redness of Uraraka's face as she entered the doors, it was about to be a soap opera.

"Not until you apologize! You're being a… a…" she stumbled over her words, closed fists shaking beside her.

Bakugou turned around, hands on his hips. "A...a… a what?" His voice had turned from angry to condescending. The group of friends groaned. This was not going to go well. "Well come on, Miss Badass. A what?" he mocked.

"You're such an ass, Bakugou. Especially when your fragile feelings are hurt."

"My what!"

"Uh-oh," Midoriya sank deeper into the couch. By this time, Ashido, Kaminari, Sero, and Asui all have their eyes peeking out from the couch. Todoroki offered them chips but was shushed and pushed away.

"Feelings. Emotions. You're so wonderful at handling everything else in your life except feelings!"

"What do they have to do with anything." He scrubbed his hand down his face. "This all started because you started the obstacle course without a spotter!"

"Oh whatever," she scoffed, waving him off. "You were too busy being Tokage's hero to even notice." She threw her hand over her forehead, gripping her chest with the other hand, fluttering her eyelashes. "Oh no, how do you work the lateral pull-down machine? Even though I'm in class B and worked out here for the last two years too and I totally know how to use it." She dropped her hands. "Forgive me if I didn't want to wait to see you flirt with lizard chick."

"Oh my god!" Bakugou screamed toward the ceiling. "For the last time, I was not flirting with her! You're the one always telling me to be nice to all those fucking extras and the one time I do, you get all pissy!"

The rest of the room kept ping-ponging between the two. Todoroki kept crunching on his snacks but this time when he offered, Sero took a few.

"This is way better than the movie we were gonna play," the tape hero whispered, grabbing another. Todoroki merely nodded his agreement as the couple moved slightly. Bakugou was now beside the table as Uraraka moved by the couches. She was going on a tirade about how Tokage kept running her hands over his shoulders as he demonstrated different techniques.

"I was trying to be helpful!"

"You were trying to give that Shady Ass Snake a full anatomy lesson!"

Bakugou cracked a smirk at the nickname as the couches all smothered their giggles. Uraraka hadn't even realized she slipped into the rude nickname Bakugou had gifted the Class B Hero during one of his trash-talking tirades.

"Now, now Floaty," he tsked. "That's not a polite name for her."

"You're impossible." She stamped her foot. "The point is that you owe me an apology! You yelled at me in front of the entire gym calling me incompetent and stupid when it was your fault in the first place!"

His face smoothed back out as if replaying a memory, before scrunching up again. Everyone could tell his Bakurage aura was off the charts.

"Oh, he mad mad," Kaminari whispered, reaching for the Cheetos but Sero slapped his hand away.

"You deliberately started obstacle E. The one that knocked you out last week. Without a spotter. And actually expected to pass it doing the exact same method that got you knocked out in the first place," he leaned against the table, crossing his arms. Todoroki glanced at Uraraka, half expecting her to disagree as he was inclined to agree with Bakugou. "You are stupid!"

Obstacle E wasn't the hardest or the longest course they had endured but when the class had to complete it last week, Uraraka had taken a pretty nasty hit. She had barely dodged the knife welding robot but the mechanical arm sent her through one of the walls. The bruising on her shoulders had finally faded but the cut on her hand was still healing. She wasn't the only one to not pass; she was however, the only one knocked unconscious and had to spend a few days under strict observation. If he had to guess, Todoroki would assume after allowing it to bother her for the week, today's gym session was meant to show Bakugou she was healed enough and to get his analysis of her run.

The two had begun working together more after a mission in Kyoto about two months ago when Endeavor's intel suggested they needed air coverage. Uraraka ended up being called in as she was quite familiar to the three interns already. The intel ended up missing the key factor of this "minor" meeting being held in the factory of illegal quirk drugs for an underground illegal weapons ring. Midoriya and Todoroki were able to capture the mini bosses as Uraraka weaponized Bakugou, completely demolishing the factory. Floored by their quirk chemistry, the pair ended up planning a partnership the entire way home.

He also knew they had been skirting around their feelings for each other since that time as well but no one asked his opinion.

Todoroki watched as Uraraka faced flushed a deep purple before taking a few breaths meant for calming herself down. "Well maybe if you would have actually given me help like I asked—" She tried to reroute the conversation but Bakugou was not going to let her leave this alone.

"Do not change the subject, Uraraka. You could have waited for the three maybe five minutes. You're acting like a child." Bakugou sneered. "I don't need a moron as a partner. Use that round head of yours."

"Don't give me that shit again!" Uraraka yelled, pointing at him threateningly. The room chilled slightly at the unhinging gravity hero. "Even if I should have waited, who gave you the right to humiliate me like that!"

"And I'd do it again! You stupid girl!" He slammed his hand down on the table. "Get your head out of the damn clouds! You could have seriously hurt yourself again, over what?! What kind of hero gets fucking jealous over nothing!"

"Argh!" Uraraka grabbed the nearest thing she could, which was the pillow in Ashido's lap, and hurled it at Bakugou. He dodged it only to be hit with the next one. "You stupid fucking asshole!" She continued throwing any object she could get her hand on- pillows, books, the tv remote. "You wouldn't even know what fucking feelings were if they hit you in the face! God, I can't stand you!"

"If you hate me so much, then why are you even still here!" he screamed back. She grabbed Todoroki's bag of Cheetos, whether unknowing or uncaring they were open, hurling them toward the boy as she replied.

"Because I like you, you dumbass!"

The Cheetos seemed to float in the air as her words hung heavy in the room. Bakugou was frozen in his spot, eyes wide and mouth gaping as the nearly empty bag hit his nose. Uraraka's heavy breathing and sniffs were the only sound echoing in the room. She looked around confused at the sudden mood shift in the room before landing on the reddening face of the blonde boy in front of her.

"I… I… didn't… I… oh god," was all she managed to choke out before running out of the dorms.

All eyes were on Bakugou as he soaked in the information. Todoroki watched emotions flicker across his face as he looked to different places around the room; from shock to confusion to happiness, ultimately landing on the familiar determined expression. There was such a fire behind his eyes it was a wonder his quirk wasn't more similar to Todoroki's. He tore from the dining area to the door, chasing the brunette as everyone scrambled to the windows to watch. Kaminari took it upon himself to provide commentary.

"Bakubro reaches for the girl who just confessed to him… by tackling her. Jesus, okay now they are tumbling annnnnnd she flips him. Now they are sparring." The crew sighed, smacking their foreheads against the glass.

"Honestly though, I expected his love language to be with his fists," Kirishima muttered.

"Does that mean he loves me too?" Midoriya joked. Kirishima eyed him for a moment then shoulder checked him. Midoriya yelped, grabbing his shoulder.

"What? I thought maybe it was yours too," Kirishima winked, turning back to the drama of Bakugou and Uraraka.

"They seem to be screaming again, oh?" Kaminari raised his fake binoculars to his eyes. "It looks like he is now confessing his undying love for her. She is frozen. Now she seems to be shaking her head… oh good for him! He isn't letting her ignore him."

"They are both so smart and yet so stupid," Ashido shook her head, smiling softly as Bakugou stepped forward to grab for Uraraka again. This time she allowed him to tug on her elbow, falling easily into him. The onlookers clapped and cheered for the two before losing interest at just the hugging couple and turning back to the common room.

In their haste, they had run over the spilled Cheetos, crushing them into the carpet. After Iida made them clean up the mess, they settled back into the couches, previous distractions forgotten as they began the movie san Todoroki's snacks. Thirty minutes into the movie, the new couple entered the common room silently, both adorning matching blushes. Kaminari paused the movie as all eyes turned, awaiting what would be announced.

Bakugou coughed as Uraraka quickly rambled an apology before darting into the kitchen for refreshments. Bakugou dropped down on the opposite side of the smaller couch from Todoroki. The group relaxed back into the movie but Bakugou was fidgeting on his phone. Todoroki merely stared at him.

"If you've got something to say, then say it. I hate your somber mumbling shit." He was obviously fishing for approval but Todoroki wouldn't give him that satisfaction. There had been a crime committed in the name of love and there needed to be justice.

"You owe me a bag of cheetos."

"Hah?!"

"Your girlfriend stole them to assault you because your thick skull couldn't figure out all of this could have been avoided had you just kissed her like you wanted to last week," Todoroki rolled his eyes lightly. "But congrats. Don't mess it up." Bakugou tensed, a roaring blush taking over his face again. Todoroki waited for a verbal lashing but Bakugou scoffed. He was full of surprises tonight.

"...Shut up, Todoroki."

"You should really be nicer to people," Uraraka plopped down between them, holding out various bottles of juices. Her eyes were a little swollen from crying but her smile was bright.

"I will literally destroy you, Round face."

Todoroki groaned. "What did I just say about not messing this up? Uraraka, are you sure about this one?"

Uraraka snuggled into Bakugou's side, pushing her toes into Todoroki's side. "Yeah, as long as he buys you a new bag of chips."

"Oi, you're the one that threw them."

"At your stupid face."

"That you like."

"I can't stand you."

Todoroki couldn't help but laugh at the full circle of his dear friends. A small bag of regular cheetos appeared in his lap with a small piece of tape on covering the logo. He glanced over to Sero, who merely smiled before turning back toward the movie. Full circle indeed.
