May through August- SideKick Year 1-2
End of May
"That's all for today. Please remember to do your readings before your practicals tomorrow!" Uraraka calls out moments before the bell rings. "You must pass your practicals if you wish to avoid taking my remedial course over the remaining Saturdays!" She watches the students—her students—quickly leave the class. Sighing, she turns to the board and snaps the lecture notes on her phone.
"I knew you would be a natural here," Emi calls from the door. Uraraka smiles at the woman who is quickly becoming not only a mentor but a friend too. "The kids like you, even if you're barely their senior. And the staff enjoy your presence." Emi beams at her.
"Well, I'm trying. It's not as weird as I thought it would be since I'm going to be teaching every other unit, and even then I'm not really teaching. I just cover the classes you have to miss and do all the paperwork." She side-eyes the Pro hero. "That's really why you wanted me, wasn't it? Just do your paperwork."
Emi laughs loudly, before holding up her hands in surrender. "Ya caught me, girlie!"
Uraraka gathers her notes as they both leave the classroom to head to the teachers' residential area. Ms. Joke couldn't pay her as much as a "hero work only" agency, but the school allows her to live in the few small houses built on campus for guest lecturers free of rent or utilities. It fit her just perfectly.
"But seriously, I wanted to check in with you. We're about halfway through the first term,'' Emi starts, "so if you wanted to start taking interviews at other agencies over the summer, you'd need to start filing the paperwork now." Uraraka chews the inside of her cheek but doesn't respond.
Emi scratches the back of her head and moves closer to her.
"I'm not trying to push you out but I also know this isn't what you wanted to do.'' Her tone is soft. "I mean, I don't exactly get called for normal run of the mill crimes anymore so I can't promise when we'll go into the field.''
Uraraka's gaze settles on her, trying to subdue her nerves.
Emi smiles at her. "But the school has been broadcasting you and your patrols frequently! Even caught a good snippet of your demonstration in last week's hand to hand defense course with the first year general studies. So I don't want you to think that you're hiding away or not as cool as your other classmates."
Uraraka smiles, not taking into account the sadness that has been lurking in her heart. "I appreciate this opportunity. To be honest, I was always terrified about being dumped right into the Pro Hero common life. The public isn't super forgiving and I can't afford to mess up big so early in my career. I'm good here, Emi. I truly am. I'd like to finish the year with you!"
Emi seems pleased with her responses and shifts the subject to tomorrow's practicals.
They say goodbye as she enters her home, drops her work on the kitchen table, and makes a beeline to her bed to go through the alert that had thrown her afternoon off. The article talked about how Endeavor's new sidekicks had successfully taken down another villain pod inside of the city. And the article was full of pictures of Bakugou. Her Katsuki. Or at least, he was her Katsuki.
The one that hasn't spoken to her since their first mission when they became active. The one that was supposed to be her best friend and turned more after those shared kisses on the rooftop. The one she is madly in love with.
She enlarges her favorite picture of him, where he is saying something to a stoic-faced Todoroki and whatever it is, draws that cocky smile she loves so much.
Uraraka sighs, checking the time before texting Midoriya. He'd answer whenever he wakes up.
Ochababe (4:30p) [sends link] I should reach out to him to congratulate him, right?
Izuzu3 (4:33p) No, you should reach out to him to tell him you love him and miss him. Because you're both stupid!
Ochababe (4:35p) Why are you up right now?
Ochababe (4:35p) What do you mean both?
Ochababe (4:38p) AND IT'S TOO EARLY FOR YOU TO CALL ME OUT LIKE THAT!
Izuzu3 (4:40p) I'm in the middle of overnight patrol. Yes, you both.
Izuzu3 (4:41p) [sends screenshot]
She taps the screenshot, eyes widening. It's a conversation eerily similar to the one she just had with Midoriya but instead of her, it's between him and Bakugou with a link to the demonstration Emi had mentioned earlier.
She can't help but stare at Bakugou's response to Midoriya's text that says:
Shitty Deku (3:40p) Tell her you love her and miss her.
Kacchan (3:42p) Tch, I'm not going to waltz onto school grounds randomly. That would make her look bad.
She really is stupid. They are really stupid.
Uraraka pulls up his name and sends a quick text. Since he had been photographed this morning, he'd be home by now.
Ochako (4:55p) you busy?
Katsuki (4:55p) not for you.
Uraraka's heart beats wildly and immediately drops as a Facetime call starts coming through.
"Shit shit shit!" She leaps from her bed and runs toward the mirror. Uraraka only has five more rings before it seems like she stood him up. Flying back to her bed, she misses the phone as it goes sailing off the side, answering itself and a voice crackles up from the speakers.
"Uh, Cheeks? You there?" Even muffled, his voice sounds so good after two months. Had it always been so deep? It definitely hadn't been that smooth.
"Ah! Yes. Ha! Sorry, I accidentally dropped my phone. My bad!" She barely suppresses a groan with how winded she sounds, but when she reaches her phone, everything stills. Her eyes fall upon the screen and Bakugou is smiling. She suddenly curses her memory for not keeping a better image of him. "So, what's up?"
"That's my line, Floaty. You asked me if I was busy." His tone is playful.
"Oh right." She scratches the back of her head. "Well, I wanted to say that I saw the article about you today. Good job on taking down another pod!" His smile falls to a frown as she rubs her pinky.
"Oh. Thanks, Cheeks."
There's an awkward pause as neither can look at the other. She tries to swallow her tongue to say something. Anything to keep him on the line. Why was this so hard? Did what they have was not strong enough to work over such a long-distance? She could kick herself for waiting this long before reaching out to him.
"Ya good? You look like you're having a full conversation with yourself." His eyebrow arches. She puffs out her cheeks at his comment. She hasn't video called anyone that much since getting her smartphone, so she forgot he could see her the entire time. His eyes, oh god, she had missed his eyes.
He couldn't hide the concern in them, causing her to stumble over her words.
"Well…" What if he didn't feel the same? Cheeks and Floaty were safe nicknames he used. Is she still Ochako? Her head suddenly overflowed with questions that come to a halt when an annoyed huff comes through her speaker.
"Just spit it out, Angel." That tips the scale.
"God, I've missed you." His eyes widen and she feels her confidence growing. "And us. And I feel stupid but I'm so happy right now!" Uraraka giggles at the faint blush on his cheeks, feeling the weight of the last months just wash away. "I'm sorry I didn't call you sooner. It took me longer to settle than I thought it would." She shifts and resettles onto her pillows, waiting for him to say anything.
Her tide of words seems to have stunned him.
"Tch. You should've just started with that," he grumbles looking someplace off-camera. "Well, start talking. I have to go to the store in an hour and I know you're gonna tell me about literally all sixty-one days." He tries to sound annoyed, but she detects a hint of fondness in his eyes.
She rolls her eyes and snuggles down into the blankets to start telling him everything he has missed. They talk for hours and he doesn't let her hang up even as he goes to the store and then cooks dinner, meanwhile she doesn't mind hearing him talk while she grades some tests. Because this is what they've missed.
They end up talking for five hours and it still isn't enough.
"Hey, do you wanna come over sometime?'' he asks when she tells him she has to go to sleep. "I always have the first Friday night and Saturday day off each month."
Pulling her phone in, she tucks herself into bed and sets up her phone on the nightstand.
"I would love that! Starting in June?" The word 'June' is elongated by her yawn. She curses under her breath, not quite wanting to say goodbye.
"Yeah, you're not needed on Saturdays, right? Even if Ms. Joke needs you, we'd be able to get you wherever."
"Yeah, I'd love that. Thanks, Kat. For tonight." She smiles softly, making a blush come back to his cheeks. Her eyelids droop heavily, and she almost doesn't hear his answer.
"I missed you too, 'Chako. Get some sleep." His soft tone lulls her to sleep.

First Friday in October
Uraraka really tries not to get angry. But every minute that passes by is another minute she gets closer to leaving. And that thought makes her furious.
She is three weeks into the new term after successfully managing the first term audit, summer vacation full of real hero work, and now, after sitting on a train for three hours, instead of two due to a delay in the switching of the conductors, she is locked outside of Bakugou's apartment. Lights off. His phone is off, it seems like. She had sent him almost twenty messages in a row.
Uraraka double-checks the date again for what felt like the hundredth time in the last thirty minutes. No. She was indeed right.
It was the first Friday of the month, and their regular date night. Well, friend date night. Friend date night that ended with them cuddling on the couch most times.
Ex-friend date night if he didn't appear in his doorway in the next five minutes.
She bangs the back of her head against the wall, sliding down on her luggage. She didn't want to call Shouto because so far, no one knew of this. Them. Whatever they are. Maybe Midoriya knows?
Pulling out her phone, she rings her best friend and he picks up after two rings.
"Ochako! Hi!" His tone is soft and although she can't see, she bets he is smiling.
"Hey, Izuku. Random question, have you talked to Katsuki today?" She shifts her phone on her ear and scrunches up her head.
"Yeah, I have. He should be home right now. Why?"
"His phone is going straight to voicemail and the lights are off."
"Are you over there?'' he asks casually.
"Yeah, we had this recurring hangout time thing we've been doing. Get that look I know you have off your face, we're not talking about it right now. Do you know any way I can reach him? I've been outside his apartment for a half-hour and I really have to pee."
"Um. Yeah, okay, hold on." She waits and hears shuffling and clicking in the background. "Okay, if you aren't inside in five minutes, call me back."
"What did you do?"
"Had Sho call his emergency pager. Okay, bye!" Midoriya hangs up before she can even complain. Goddammit. She barely has time to stand when his door is ripped open, with a half-dressed, blurry-eyed Bakugou barreling out of it. He has his costume pants on, but his top and boots are in his hands as he juggles around with his phone, keys, and mask.
"Ochako! Shit. Fuck, I'm sorry but I gotta go." He chucks his keys at her, turning to sprint down the hall when she touches her fingers to his back, activating her quirk and making him float.
"Kat, wait! I called Izuku to ask where you were, and he called Shouto without telling me. I'm sorry!" She releases him back to the ground as he lets out a sigh of relief. She steps closer to him, concern washing over her as she notices his dark circles and pale face. "Hey, are you okay?"
"M'fine. Come on and let's get you inside." He tries to shrug off her worry, but sends himself into a coughing fit trying to pick up her luggage. Waving her off, he heads inside with her following hot on his heels. "Fucking hell. I'm sorry. I'm getting over a head cold and my fucking throat feels like it's on fire. I was hoping to sleep off the end of it before you got here but forgot to plug my phone in." His tone is soft, apologetic.
"Why didn't you tell me?"
"Because you only come over once a month and I'm not gonna let a shitty cold keep you alone at your shitty school." He groans, laying down on the couch. "Ugh, remind me to murder both of those bastards. My fucking head hurts."
Uraraka giggles and moves to start some tea to let him rest. She would take care of dinner and whatever else he needed because he is right: she would much rather be here than home alone.
"Alright, Mr. Over your Cold.'' She rolls her eyes. "You need to drink some tea and scoot over. I'll get some grading done and then we'll have carry out for dinner." Setting down the tea, she feels him shuffling around. He makes her yelp when he grabs her by the waist, pulling her down on the couch. Before she can even blink, his head is in her lap, face nuzzling into her stomach. She wonders if he can hear her heart beating out of her chest.
"S'fine?" She feels him mumbling into her stomach. Uraraka looks down and notices his body as tense as hers with a withheld breath and a prayer in his eye to let their current position being fine. She smiles down, moving her fingers through his hair and pulling a pleased hum from him as he closes his eyes.
"Yeah, this is great."
They stay like that for hours—him snuggling into her lap, while she plays with his hair. Both in perfect bliss.

First Friday in March
"Think about it, Bakugou. I would love to see you here thriving in your own right and name rather than cling to the coattails of Endeavor," Kamui Woods states firmly, although Bakugou isn't sure if it's teasing or not. Kamui had broken away from the Lurker's after the fight against the League of Villains last year and he was finally ready to expand his agency.
Bakugou would be the first Pro Hero to sign on if he accepted.
"Oi, I'm not clinging to anyone," Bakugou snaps back. "But I'll think about it. Give me until Friday to look over the contract and talk to some people." And by people, he meant Uraraka. She is supposed to be here within the hour and he hasn't told her about the talks with Kamui Woods yet.
He says his goodbyes when he hears keys jiggling into his lock. It is weird to think Uraraka has his only spare key, but not in a bad way. More like a weird sense of longing that this doesn't happen every day—him welcoming her home. He frowns at the thought, knowing that him playing house with her would one day catch up to him.
Whenever she met her star-maker, Uraraka would leave him to pick up the pieces of his heart. His broken dreams of the what-ifs and maybes.
No, that's not right. She would try and be overly helpful, pushing him toward some other girl to find his happiness wanting him to flourish like she will.
Ugh. Why can't these thoughts stay away?
Because it is better to have loved and lost, then never to have loved at all.
"Kat? Oh, there you are! Hey!" Her head pops out of the balcony doors. "Man, I say this every time but I love your new apartment! I mean, this balcony!" She gestures wildly to the balcony and moves to join him on the lounge couch, tucking her feet under her. This is visit three at the new apartment which is three train stops closer than his previous apartment. And coincidentally, closer to Kamui Wood's agency.
"Yeah, you do say it every time. It's like you don't have any other thoughts in that round head of yours," he teases. She rolls her eyes, not willing to take the bait. "What, no comebacks, Miss Uraraka?"
"Ugh, don't call me by my alter ego. She's been a bitch." Uraraka groans.
"Oh yeah? How's that?" He laughs at her expression.
"Guess who has essays to grade by Monday?"
He grunts. "Aw, come on, Cheeks! I thought you managed to stop doing that to us.''
"I did! And then this twerp third year… Oh, Honey, you have no idea. He just gets under my skin! It's like a Todoroki met a Mineta and then fucked an Iida!" His heart flips in his chest as he registers her words. He has been "Kat Honey", "Honey", or some similar term of endearment for a few months now. Although at first he had been weary and tried to convince himself that it wasn't anything special, Midoriya had called her out when he thought Bakugou wasn't listening.
"So he gets a new pet name and I'm stuck as Izuzu for the rest of my life? Talk about unfair." Midoriya's whiny voice is extra grating over the speakers.
"What, new pet name? He's Kat." She blows Midoriya off, causing Bakugou to freeze, cursing the drinks clinking in his hands. Did she not realize she hasn't called him by his name all evening?
"Not in the last ten minutes. He's been 'Honey', 'Hun', and everything in between." She starts choking as Bakugou feels his neck heat up but Midoriya pushes on. "So you hadn't noticed? I think I like 'Kat, Honey' the best. You should keep using that one."
"Oh my god, what do I do? Maybe I should play it off like I call everyone that?"
Bakugou sneaks to the edge of the wall trying to listen as Midoriya's voice tries to coax information out of Uraraka. The nerd had a way of ignoring her big doe eyes where Bakugou would lose himself in them.
"But you don't?" Bakugou holds his breath waiting for her answer. It comes softly, like she is talking about a dream.
"No, I don't. I don't know... It's special, ya know? Like when ya find the special kinda honey that just melts over ya tongue on a summer's day. It's not too sweet but just sweet enough.'' She hums thoughtfully. "Sure, you could have your tea without it but why wouldja? That's Kat."
"Then tell him that."
Bakugou then walks around the corner and starts an argument about how Midoriya still owed him from last week's online game.
"And that's how I ended up with twenty essays to grade… Hey, you're not even listening!" Uraraka snaps her fingers close to his face.
"Hey, Angel, I wanna talk to you about something." He grabs her hand as if to ground himself. Uraraka's eyes are wide at the seriousness in his voice. She pats the top of their hands and he knows she understands this is important and her eyes soften immediately.
He exhales, looking out to the sun setting.
"Kamui Woods has been calling for two weeks and he just sent over a contract. He wants me to sign as a full Pro Hero and be the first one at his new agency. I would be eligible for the hero rankings in January."
"But?" Her brow arches, knowing there is more to come. She knows him well.
"But, I've always been hard-headed, and brash, and running in head-first without a second thought. I don't want to do that with this new opportunity. Is it too early? What if staying with Endeavor another year is what I need?" He stands and begins to pace, scrubbing his face. "Arg! But I hate it! I hate not being a Pro. I hate waiting around and following under his shadow. God, I'm ready to be out and just—"
"Be you. I get it. Have you talked to All Might?"
"Of course I have.'' He scoffs. "It's all 'Young Bakugou' this and 'Young Bakugou' that." His imitation must have been good as she giggles into her hand. "And before you ask, yeah, I called Aizawa too. He told me to ask someone who cares." His voice mimics Aizawa and Uraraka gives him a thumbs down, signaling his imitation needed work.
"So, you ask me?" The humor in her voice is almost insulting. Who else would he ask?
"Well, I'm definitely not asking fucking Deku. God, I'd throw myself in front of a moving train before I did that." He shudders, imagining the hours of statistics of past heroes and how soon they went pro and any other useless piece of information Midoriya always has in mind.
"Kat Honey, please don't do that." He snorts at her concerned voice. "Well I, for one, think you'd be stupid to not accept his offer and go in grenadiers hot."
"Yeah?"
"Yes! You're Ground Zero. You always win." She slides up behind him, wrapping her hands around his waist. "But more importantly, you're Katsuki Bakugou. Even if it's the wrong decision, you aren't going to fail or magically forget everything you know." She leans her cheek between his shoulder blades.
He doesn't respond, instead taking her words in.
"Okay. I'll do it." Her arms tighten around his center, causing him to glance back at her. She's biting her bottom lip, face bright red and her eyes widened. "Oi, what's wrong with you now?"
"OH MY GOD!'' she shouts. "You're going Pro! I cannot believe it, I'm so proud of you! Oh my God!" Her voice raises several octaves higher as she lifts him up and drops him back down, jumping up and down and screaming at the top of her lungs. And then, as quickly as it started, it stops on a dime.
"Ya good?" He fakes annoyance but they both know he is just as excited as she is.
Uraraka pulls him roughly back through the apartment to the front door, grabbing her keys and his keys from the hooks.
"Yes, come on, come on! Let's go celebrate! My treat!" He pulls her back into him, dipping down to her ear, laughing at her squeal.
How did he get so lucky to have her in his life?
"What about all of your essays, Miss Uraraka?" She shudders, which causes a domino effect in his body. She belongs here, always, the voice screams in his head. Uraraka lightly slaps his chest, a pout forming on her lips that doesn't quite reach her eyes. He agrees with the voice for once.
"You're not a Pro yet, Bakugou. Don't make me hurt you."

End of August
Uraraka wipes her hands on her pants one last time, standing as the elevator dings. Kamui Woods strolls toward her with a stack of papers. Her potential contract.
She rubs the inside of her elbow, where red and purple marks were under her blazer. showing proof of her pinches trying to make sure this moment was real.
She is about to sign on as a Pro Hero in her own right. And it is all by chance. Literally.
Emi hadn't been lying when she said she was only called to the field for very specific situations and a few months ago, right after school went on to summer break, was one of those times. The police had gotten word from an informant that two warring gangs were going to have a showdown where the one with most kills won. She and Emi had flown into action at the scene but ultimately. Uraraka's control of her gravitational manipulation saved the day.
The news footage was crazy and Uraraka still can't believe it was her. She managed to orbit fifty gang members around her at different levels and speeds with herself as the center of gravity. Bakugou had told her Kamui Woods had immediately begun calling her boss about her, swearing he hadn't said anything about their relationship to him.
So when Kamui had called her directly, asking for a meeting, she was ecstatic someone was finally recognizing her abilities.
"Uravity, I am pleased to offer you this contract.'' His tone is firm and unyielding. "You'd start at the end of the month, be given a housing bonus to help you get settled, and will work with Ground Zero for the first few months to help orientate yourself." He pauses to gauge her reaction, noticing her frown. "I wouldn't be hiring you if you weren't capable but you've been in the classroom for a year and a half. I would hate for you to get injured because I threw you to the wolves." He pauses, before raising his voice. "Although maybe we should work together instead."
"HAH?! What is that supposed to mean?! I'm perfectly fine to babysit Floaty while she learns to swim." Bakugou's cry can be heard even when he's on the other side of the office.
Uraraka grips the side of her pants, biting the inside of her cheek. She would not let him bait her into a fight in front of her future boss.
Bakugou stomps over in full costume, towering over her.
"What? Got nothing to say Round Face?" He pinches her cheeks, which mortifies her. In front of Kamui Woods? Oh ho! He wants to play dirty. She smacks his hand off, poking him hard in the chest, causing his smirk to grow.
"Oh, just you wait, Blasty. I'll send you orbiting around your stupid building this time." She taps her chin, pretending to think as his smirk falls to a frown. "Let's see how long did it take you to puke last time? Oh, I think it was three orbits? Five?"
"Cause you're a dirty cheat, Uravity."
She shows her tongue at him, mocking. "Oh boo-hoo, Zero. You're just a sore loser."
Kamui Woods claps slowly, bringing them back to reality. Uraraka steps back from Bakugou, red-faced and embarrassed that she fell for his bait. Bakugou merely continues to glare at her.
"Oh, good. You seem to know each other well. This will be more entertaining than I thought.'' He chuckles. "Ground Zero here needs a friend. Poor guy gets bored easily." Kamui Woods pats Bakugou on his shoulder as he sneers. Uraraka feels her shoulders sag in relief. Bakugou never really talked about his relationship with his boss but clearly they had become closer during the six months they had worked together.
Uraraka is somehow relieved.
"Woods, I will murder you one of these days."
"Bakugou!" She throws an elbow toward his stomach but misses as he sidesteps, turning back down the hall. If she remembers from the tour, he is headed toward the locker room. Maybe she could get him to help find her an apartment. Oh man, if she could get a balcony, she would cry!
"Ochako, sign your contract and come downstairs. We'll start looking for an apartment for you."
She smiles softly, turning back to Kamui Woods who is holding his office door open. "Well, Kamui, you heard him. Let's sign this contract!"
$%^$^#^%
"Ochako, if you don't pick a fucking apartment in the next ten seconds, I'm fucking leaving."
Bakugou is a moment away from exploding. They had visited ten apartments since she signed her contract at noon and she was unsatisfied with all of them. The kitchen was too small. There weren't enough closets. The bathroom was a shack.
If she bitched about a balcony one more time, he is going to—
"I can't! I want a balcony!" Uraraka pouts.
He pinches the bridge of his nose, exhaling forcefully to keep his anger down. It is supposed to be her day. She had just signed as a pro at his agency. One year and a half of long-distance over in a month. He would see her every day. He could have dinner with her every day.
But not if he murdered her where she stood, which would most likely happen if she didn't choose one fucking apartment.
"Angel, I need you to pick one or I'm going to blast you into space."
"Why are you being so mean? You said you would help me!" She turns quickly back to him on the sidewalk, stamping her foot like the child she has been acting like.
"And I am! But I have shown you ten different apartments near the agency like you asked me. And unlike you, who only interviewed today, I did a full patrol and I'm fucking exhausted." He crosses his arm, refusing to give. "So, you either pick one of the ten I showed you or you can go apartment hunting while I go home and shower."
She spins on her heel, scrunching her nose up in the air. "Take a nap while you're at it. You're being an ass."
Bakugou doesn't bother responding, knowing it would just escalate. They don't truly argue so often anymore, but when they do, it's usually when one of them is overly tired. Like now. He huffs and heads to his apartment. Uraraka still has his spare key. She could get home by herself.
Except two hours later, she still isn't home and hasn't texted him. He had showered, napped, and woke up disappointed she wasn't here yet.
Where is she? He grabs his phone, dialing her number. He frowns when it rings and then goes to voicemail.
"Ya good? Call me when you get this."
Her phone had rung so at least it still had battery. Choosing to wait another twenty minutes before he left to hunt for her, he strolls out to his balcony. The weather was beginning to shift to autumn and although he preferred the summer heat, Bakugou's lips quirk up thinking about how much Uraraka loves when it's colder.
He plops down on the lounger, pulling up his calendar. Kamui Woods had sent over the dates for his shifts for the rest of the month and Katsuki would be lying if he said he isn't happy that they coincided with Uraraka's moving and starting date. Maybe he should get the boss man some sake. He leans his head back on the cushion to brainstorm when he hears his name being called.
"Katsuki!"
He sits up and proceeds to fall off the lounge at the sight across the way. There stood Uraraka, leaning on the balcony railing directly across from his, overlooking a small back street. She's holding papers in her hands and has her sun-bright smile on.
"Oi! You gonna just stare at me with that dumb round cheek smile of yours or are you gonna explain why the fuck you're breaking and entering?" He huffs.
She throws her head back, laughing before leaping over the balcony railing to propel herself to his. But she underestimates the height of his railing. He reaches out a hand to catch her, pulling her onto the balcony.
"It's not breaking and entering! It's mine! I just signed the lease!'' She beams at him and his breath stutters. "We're balcony buddies! Oh my god, this is really happening!" Uraraka screams, jumping up and into his arms. "No more train rides. No more once-a-months. No more essays! Ah! I am so excited!"
Her laughter is contagious and he chuckles along with her, spinning her around. This is truly happening, and for the first time in a long time, Bakugou didn't argue with the voice in his head.
This is a new beginning with her.
