"Yes, I'm pulling into the driveway now," Sharon said with a sigh as she rolled her eyes. "No, I didn't forget the cake. You're an absolute pain in the ass, you know that?"

"Of course I do, Powerbroker. Think of the child," Tony said and she groaned. "Any idea when the old man is showing up?"

"There are a lot of old men in your life, Stark, need to be more specific."

"Our friendly neighborhood star-spangled hermit."

"I don't know, haven't talked to him," she said with a shrug as she parked her car. She spotted Tony waiting for her by the gate so she hung up on him before getting out. "I'm not Steve's keeper, SHIELD doesn't pay me to do that anymore."

"No but I figured Cap was paying you in sexual favors to talk to him," he said as he grabbed the cake box. "Guess I have to do what I planned to do originally when I made you both godparents."

"And that is," she asked warily.

"Make things awkward until you and Steve bone," he smiled widely as he helped her carry everything in the yard.

Sharon smiled as Morgan squealed and ran over to hug her. It had been about a month since Tony and Pepper returned home.

"Aunt Sharon," Morgan said happily as Sharon picked her up. "You're here!"

"Of course I am, silly," she said, kissing her cheek. "My apartment is all ready for a movie night."

"Yay, I can't wait to tell Uncle Steve when he gets here," she said as she wiggled out of Sharon's arms and ran off.

"You know, if you give up a life of crime I think Rogers is allowed to knock you up. Pretty sure it's one of the amendments," Tony said.

"You're a pain. Go put that cake inside," she said, rolling her eyes as she walked off.

"I can't thank you enough for everything you and Steve did for Morgan," Pepper said when she walked over to Sharon later in the day.

"No thanks necessary, I'm glad you're back and you're okay."

"Bruce and Happy filled me in since Tony couldn't talk about it once I was okay," she said with a sigh. "I know it was difficult for you to come back after everything."

"You both are family. I'm glad I had the opportunity to come back and really get to know Morgan. I don't know that I'd be back here if it didn't happen, to be completely honest."

"You all settled in?"

"Pretty much," Sharon nodded.

"I didn't really understand why Tony was so insistent on making you and Steve godparents, especially since they hadn't talked for years and you were god knows where in the world."

"Your husband has a twisted sense of humor," Sharon grumbled and she sipped her drink.

"He does, but I can see now it was more than that. You and Steve will do anything for the people you love. He seems a lot happier these days."

"I did hear he stopped scaring the neighborhood children," Sharon smirked as she watched Steve and Bucky play keep away with Morgan.

"Share-bear, come over here," Tony yelled and Sharon rolled her eyes as Pepper laughed.

"What, Stark?"

"I need someone to tie the piñata to the tree, and it's too tall for me so I figured you could climb Steve like a tree and sit on his shoulders to do it," he smirked, handing her the piñata,

"Getting your suit on to go up there too much work for you," Steve asked as he stood beside Sharon, his arms crossed over his chest.

"Yes, I'm retired. Military might show up."

"They won't," Rhodes said, rolling his eyes.

"I should just go back to Madripoor," she mumbled as she placed her hands on Steve's shoulders and jumped up on his back. She felt him grab her legs to support her as she climbed up on his shoulders.

"You guys sure you haven't done this recently, that was very well executed," Tony said as he watched her tie the piñata. "A little lower."

"Sharon's climbed many a super solider before, she's a pro," Natasha said.

"Is that why she re-bred the super soldier species in Madripoor," Tony asked before noticing the look on Bucky's face. "No way. The best friend?!"

"I hate everyone here," Steve whispered to Sharon as he set her down.

"Same," she said quietly. "Get me cake please while I find a spot to hide from everyone."

"Yes ma'am," he said as they went their separate ways.

"Tony's really relentless," Steve shook his head as she sat down next to Sharon and handed her a piece of cake.

"This was his grand scheme when he made us godparents," she said, barely containing a moan as she bit into the cake. "God I picked a damn good cake."

"I can see that," he smirked at her reaction. "Should we just tell him we're dating?"

"No, not yet," she said, kissing him quickly when she was sure no one was looking at them. "Let him have his fun."
