Sometimes men like you make me wonder why I bother with humanity." The strange woman says, staring at the General with eyes like ice.

Mary wants to ask who she is, for the third time, but when she speaks, the words that come out of her mouth are, "I am grateful that you do. Whoever you are, Doctor."

The Doctor looks at her, staring with the desperation of a woman who has lost friends. Mary has seen that look before in old soldiers. But this woman is not old, should not be old.

When she leaves, Mary does not waste time pondering. Still, she does not think that she will forget when the Doctor met the Doctress.

Notes: This one was a little harder for me to keep brief. I've never done drabbles before, and it's a lot harder than I was expecting. I've extended my wordcount limit to 250, because otherwise I just don't think this would flow.

Tell me what you think of episode 2 in reviews! I enjoyed it more than the first, personally.
