Hello readers one and all! This is Gearman, the often absent and distracted author of this fic here to touch base with you all. United Under Two Skies is and always has been a passion project for me, and I want you all (everyone who's left after my hiatuses that is) to know that I fully intend on finishing this fic. UUTS has evolved over time from a crossing of worlds and retelling of ME3 into a whole new animal. Rex's evolution between versions and in UUTS itself is a testament to that, and now I'm planning on taking the Fallout world into whole new directions all the way through Fallout 4's elements before finally heading into the ME universe for the final show down with the reapers. Rest assured that is coming, one day Shepard will have her day on the battlefield you can be sure of that.
That said, UUTS has and will probably continue to be my testing grounds. Anyone who has read all the way from chapter one to chapter thirty one can probably see how I've changed as a writer and how I'm handling changing the lore to suit this new narrative. Honestly, at this point the fic is more of an Alt canon fic alongside being a cross over. Perhaps its my recent bingeing of the OG fallout games as well as New Vegas, but I've fallen back in love with the Fallout universe and as a writer is oft to do I want to play with it all. Rex's origin and his father's creation of a new FEV is just the foundation of a whole new world, that I hope is spiritually connected to the amazing series that's inspired it all. So, if you all will continue to read, comment, and follow UUTS as I walk down this lonesome road I promise that I won't bore you if I can help it.
