Three Arrows

A/N: A short drabble on Kakashi trying to explain teamwork to his new team. Written in under five minutes because homework sucks.

He had expected expressions of realization, not dumbfounded blank stares.

He tried to explain it again, "Don't you dumbasses get it? If you had used teamwork instead of Naruto running around like an idiot himself or Sasuke not relying on anyone, or Sakura being so Sasuke-obsessed, you might've gotten at least one bell by now!"

They still didn't get it, maybe an analogy would help.

"Don't you know the story about the three arrows?"

"Huh?" Naruto stopped struggling from the ropes and looked up him confusedly.

"If you try to break an arrow, thats pretty easy isn't it?"

"Duh"

"Well what if you put three arrows together? That makes it hard to break."

"No, three arrows or ten, it's all the same"

This kid was really getting on his nerves.

"Um, why would you want to break the arrows? The usefulness of an arrow isn't dependent on how likely it is to break, really. Arrows are for shooting."

"Yeah! You tell him, Sakura-chan!"

"SHUT UP"

That wasn't the point of the story.

"Yeah, there's no point of breaking arrows to see if they're sturdy enough, just shoot them."

He sighed; this was going to take a while.
