I do not own Elena of Avalor.

It had been years since the incident. Elena had watched her own parents die. Isabel didn't experience that. She hardly even remembered her parents. She was only six years old. Elena had to live with the memory for 41 years. That's how long she was trapped inside the amulet. She just kept replaying the moment over and over again in her mind.

Her parents' faces. Fear. Panic. Worried. A little bit brave. Shuriki's face. Happy. Evil. Mischievous. Pleasure. Confident. Shuriki spotted Elena and tried to kill her too.

But the part that infuriated Elena the most was that Shuriki was willing to hurt a child. Isabel was only a little girl. Shuriki would have killed her if Alakazar hadn't got to her first. How could someone be so cruel?

After Elena defeated Shuriki, she became the crowned princess. She mostly sat in her room. Replayed the moment her parents died. Sat and thought about what would have happened to Isa if Alakazar hadn't saved her. She ignored everyone. Pushed them away.

Isabel sat in her bedroom, trying to remember her parents. She was so little when it happened. Now, she was ten. She couldn't remember anything about the incident. She wished she could. She wished she could help her sister. Elena was so depressed, maybe even traumatized.

Elena would never play with her anymore. She sat in her room, isolating herself from everyone. Some fresh air might do her some good.

Isabel walked into Elena's room. Elena jumped into the air. She panted as she looked at Isabel. She groaned in frustration.

" Hey, sis," Isabel greeted.

" Go away," Elena commanded.

" Hm, no," Isabel refused.

" Come on, Isa," Elena muttered.

" Come on, sis, let's go get some fresh air," Isabel said.

" I'm good," Elena grumbled.

" It's been forty- five years, Elena, maybe it's time you get over it," Isabel remarked.

Elena jumped up. She went into a fit of rage. " GET OVER IT? I WATCHED MY PARENTS DIE! I WATCHED THEM SUFFER! YOU'RE TELLING ME YOU WANT ME TO GET OVER IT? WELL, I'LL NEVER GET OVER IT. NOW LEAVE ME ALONE, ISABEL CASTILLO FLORES!

Isabel gasped. She tried to cover up the pain. She pretended to be annoyed instead. " Okay, geez," she mumbled. With that, she left the room.

Elena sighed. She jumped back onto her bed. She buried herself into her pillow. She was frustrated. She was angry. She was hurt. How could Isa say that to her? How could… how could she yell at Isa like that. Isa didn't deserve that. She was only trying to help. Elena wouldn't let her, though. Elena immediately felt guilty. She just hurt her little sister, who was just trying to help. She decided to talk to her later.

Isabel ran to her room. She locked it before running over to her bed. She laid down and began crying. She tried to pass it off as annoyed. Elena knew her better. It was only a matter of time before she realized it was an act. Not that Elena cared. She only cared about herself these days. Isabel decided to give up. All she wanted was for her and Elena to be happy together like they used to. Now she realized that was never going to happen.

Knock. Knock. Isabel groaned. She tried to cover up all the evidence that proved she was crying. She wiped her tears, covered the slobber and snot up with more blankets, and pulled out a book. Knock. Knock.

" Come in," Isabel commanded.

Elena walked into the room. Isabel gulped when she saw her big sister. What did she want now. She just hurt her and now she had the nerve to come back? Unbelievable. Elena sat down on Isa's bed. Isabel refused to look her in the eyes. Elena sighed. She really messed up.

" I'm sorry," Elena apologized.

Isabel became less tense. She still refused to look at her big sister. Elena knew Isa was mad at her. She couldn't blame her, though. Guess that's what she gets for yelling at her little sister for no reason.

" I just keep replaying the moment. It traumatized me, Isa. I couldn't do anything else but think about the memory. It tortured me for forty-one years. Now, I don't know any different," Elena expressed.

Isabel closed her book. She locked eyes with her sister. She smiled and Elena smiled back.

" I just wanted to help," Isabel stated.

" I know, I should've let you," Elena replied. " I'm sorry."

" I'll forgive you on one condition," Isabel told her.

" Oh, and what might that be?" Elena asked, already knowing the answer.

" You have to play with me outside," Isabel answered.

" Oh, alright," Elena said.

Isabel poked Elena before running off.

" Hey, no fair, you cheated!" Elena hollered.

Isabel giggled. Elena groaned, but smiled. She chased her sister outside. They played tag outside. Everything was back to normal.
