"Woah, that's trippy." Yotsuba noticed.

"What is?" Her father asked.

"This weird face in the floor." She pointed at the image.

Koiwai squinted. "I don't see a face at all; I just see a wood floor."

"You don't get it, Daddy. It's a special ability that people like me have."

"So, people with active imaginations then?"

"Exactly, now concentrate. What do you see?"

"A distorted face like you said."

"See, I told you!"

"Okay, you win. That certainly will give me nightmare fuel for the next couple of days." Koiwai shivered.

Yotsuba pointed at her dad. "Haha, you're a scaredy cat. I'm a brave girl though."

"We'll see about that and no crawling into bed with me since you can sleep by yourself now, okay?"

"Yeah! I'll be good, I promise."

That night, when Yotsuba couldn't sleep, she wanted to be with her father since she got frightened by the faces in the walls and screamed with horror.

"What's the matter, Yotsuba?"

"Monsters are out to get me, Daddy; save me! Waaah!" Yotsuba cried.

"It's okay; no one's going to hurt you; I promise." Koiwai held her tight while she calmed down.

"You really promise?"

"Cross my heart."

"Okay, I believe you. Love you Daddy."

"I love you too, Yotsuba."
