Author Note: First off thank you for reading my story! I love the kingdom manga series and I was shocked to see so little fanfictions about it. So, I wanted to make my own. This will be a story about Ali, a young man who follows Shin and tries to figure out who he is and what he is meant to be fighting for. Sorry for this being a really short chapter. Hell, it feels weird even to me because I pump out chapters for my other stories that are over 10k words. Eithor this chapter would be extremly short and extremly long, Chapter 2 should be significantly longer. Alright then! Please favorite, follow and Review it greatly helps with my motivation with doing the next chapters. Have a wonderful and awesome day. PS: I am not sure for this ship. I was thinking of Karyo Ten or Kitari. I don't write harems so we'll see I guess!

Chapter 1

Heavy…

This was the way Ali felt, the weight of everything fully dawning on the young man. His eyes half closed as he traced around in the river of conciusness, the weight of everything dawning on him as he felt his mind start to go blank.

It was a place, he could not understand or comprehend. The waves of calmness soaring all around him as the ripples of the current changed and further pushed him deeper into the darkness.

Ali, his sun baked skin glistened through the moon light that pierced through the ocean. The roaring rapids as his small black curls straightened from the salty ocean. He further declinded into the ocean bed, his fingers prickeling as his ears popped.

He could see it…the smoldering remains of his cargo ship as he watched the orange flames dazzle through the azure skyline. The smoke and ash beggening to cloud his narrowed view as his final fragments of air began to funnel out, the bubbles of life seeping from him.

He could hear them, the people he had saved. Those that he funneled through the life boat as the waves further pushed them away through safety. He didn't know why, but he smiled. Those people, those fragments of those that he saved.

He felt his conciusness travel, the waves trailing through his jacket as his eyes began to further narrow. It was getting harder and harder to see. Then, it happened…

His back slouched as his ears popped, his form trailing along the sandy dunes of the ocean as his eyes closed for a final time. Even then, he thought he was going to die.

'To die, without figuring out…who I am. To figure out, why I was even here…'

His thoughts trailed on, though they were the thoughts of a dying fool. The weight of his actions dawning on him. Even then, something out there pitited him.

You can never come back…your life is over here…

The strange words were cryptic, fleeting thoughts of his final dying breath as the salty ocean water stung his nose and the bridge of his lips.

Goodbye, warrior…know of this. That you are something else entirely, you shall not be awarded with anything. Your strength, your will, your life…is your own now. Do with it what you will. You shall not receive no help or aid from us.

Ali felt a soothing presence over take him. Almost like being wrapped into a warm hug, a feeling that sink into the velvet of his very being as something began to spark within his chest, a flicker of something that he could'ent understand or comprehend.

A cynailic light began to suffocate Ali's frame. The young man's eyes still sinking into the velvet of eternal rest, even then this being refused to allow him to give up so easily. He sunk further into the lights, welcomed into them as he vanished completely.

Even then, he knew one thing…that he would never be able to return home. That where he appeared next in this strange state. He would live and die there, no hope to return home. Though, for the first time in Ali's life.

His Will…His Life…Was His Own
