CHAPTER-1

It was an hour since she and Rex had buried the rest of the clones. Ahsoka Tano sat inside a shuttle and meditated. She wanted to know what had happened to him. She suddenly felt a ripple in the force, she opened her eyes immediately. There was a shift in the force, a ripple, it was confusing but it was calling her. She stood up quickly, quick enough to catch Rex of guard.

"Ahsoka, is everything okay?"

"We need to leave. Now."

"Where to?"

"I'll let you know." Saying so she entered a coordination into the datapad of the shuttle.

"Are you sure about this?" Rex asked. Ahsoka just nodded. She placed a hand on her forehead. Anakin. She thought. What have you done?

"We are here." Rex said.

"Land it here."

"Ahsoka, I don't think that's a good idea."

"Do it. Please."

Ahsoka and Rex lifted their head up to be greeted by a familiar face.

"General Kenobi." Rex exclaimed. The pair ran out to him. Kenobi stared at their shuttle as they came. "Is is Cody there?" Rex asked hesitantly. Kenobi shook his head and turned to face Ahsoka. She placed a hand over her mouth as she saw tears in the eyes of the Soresu master. She fell to her knees so did the Jedi master. Rex was confused but still comforted the young Togruta who was sobbing. It was Obi-wan's turn to speak.

"Padme died a few hours ago. The twins are safe." He said with a heavy throat. He choked on few tears. Ahsoka looked up at his face and said "Tw, twins as in Anakin's" there was a nod. Ahsoka was broken. Her face was wet with tears as a fresh wave came. Rex was shocked but still tried to comfort her.

Master Yoda had entered. He took the three inside. Ahsoka saw he body of Padme lie on the bed and the twins were in the same cradle in the same room. She slowly walked up to her friend who lied on the bed like a statue.

The senator she knew yesterday lied in front of her. But she couldn't do anything. She turned and slowly walked towards the twins who were sleeping blissfully unknown of the fact that their mother was dead and their father had gone. Obi-wan walked towards her and placed a hand and steered her away to the meeting in the next room. Master Yoda, senator Organa and Rex were seated there when Ahsoka and Obi-wan entered the room.

"Split the children we must, protect them we must." Master Yoda said.

"I accept with Master Yoda." Obi-wan said. "I will take the girl. Me and my wife always wanted a child." The senator said. "Send the boy to his family on Tatooine we must." Master Yoda said. "Say anything you have to Padawan Tano?" he asked her. Ahsoka turned towards the Jedi and the senator and then slowly towards the twins' room.

"I'll train them. Send them wherever you want, I WILL train them both or at least one. But I will train the children of my brother, my niece and my nephew. I will."

Obi-wan said slowly, "Ahsoka you are not thinking clearly. We can train the boy but the girl."

"But what Master Kenobi? But what? The girl is Leia Skywalker and the boy is Luke Skywalker. They are the Skywalker twins. And I shall train them. I will not let down their parents, my brother and sister-in-law, I refuse to let them down."

"It is too dangerous Ahsoka. We cannot train them both together. It will only attract HIM more."

"Who is this HIM Master Kenobi, who? Vader? Sidious? I don't care. They are mine, mine to protect, mine to train and mine to me." Ahsoka said in a voice that would cut glass. She was strong with her resolution. "I won't let ANYONE come in the way, if they did I will kill them. I will protect the twins no matter how hard it is, no matter how many lives I had to take, even if YOU came in between I will not hesitate to protect them from YOU." She spoke with such vigor that the senator besides her shuddered.

Obi-wan exchanged glances with Yoda and told "Ahsoka, you will train the girl and I will train the boy. You are right, I was blinded by my devotion to the council that I let down Anakin. The council deserved whatever happened." He said and turned towards Yoda who had bent his head in shame.

The council was wrong but it was too late to rectify it. The only way to fix the problem was to build a new one. Ahsoka had never had a stronger resolute. She would train Leia Skywalker, daughter of Anakin Skywalker and Padme Nabberie Amidala. She would.
