To some, it may just be a piece of metal that we pin to our chests or hook to our belts alongside a gun. Some shiny metal that we use to overpower people and scare people.
To others, it's a piece of gold that represents safety and security. Something that stands between them and the bad guys that live in their city.
And to us... to us it's our gold shield, our tin. In a way, I think we relate to it the same as any other citizen, but with a bit extra.
The bit extra that makes us look upon another as brothers, sisters.
So I guess it really is just a piece of metal.
