Skyler looked at Mantle. The city he had sworn to defend from destruction. This was a failure… His failure.
"How did Merlot launch an attack like this?" Ironwood questioned; Skyler had almost forgotten about the others being here.
Then again? This was his uncle's office, for as long as he was general.
"Sensors picked up a cargo container full of his Grim…" Winter reported while brushing off her uniform. "Somewhere on the tundra. They struck before we could intercept them." Winter added while looking at RWBY, Oscar, and JNR.
"And that's why they got through all the defenses?" Skyler questioned. "You mean they got through all the Beam Turrets, Burrow Guns, Arcachna Mines, and the military?" Skyler asked Winter who sighed and looked away. Skyler crossed his arms with annoyance
Yang watched the three officers converse; it was then Yang remembered she was an officer as well.
"General?" Yang asked as she walked between Skyler and Winter. "We need allies if we're going to protect Mantle. Merlot already has Grimm inside the city. There's no telling what else he's done... We don't know about what he's got set up." Yang pointed out to Ironwood and the others.
Skyler frowned at this. He had almost forgotten the incident at the mines, Merlot had already gotten inside Mantle.
"Yang's right," Oscar added causing the others to look at him. This drew their attention off Qrow entering. "If Merlot is inside Mantle? Then we have to find him before anything else happens." Oscar stated while Ironwood looked at the others.
Skyler looked conflicted, Yang crossed her arms, deep in thought, and Winter was awaiting his orders.
Everyone else talked among themselves. Ironwood weighed his options. If Robyn continued stealing supplies? They'd never have the Amity Project finished on time. Robyn needed to be captured to restore order.
Then there was the fact that Jacques Schnee was now part of the council. Nobody, NOBODY, wanted him as part of the council. Someone had tampered with things.
And the final kicker? Merlot had started his siege on Mantle. Something Ironwood knew Skyler was trying to stop. Ironwood knew his nephew was never going to take orders that allowed Mantle to suffer.
"Then we shall assemble Allies," Ironwood said as he pushed himself upwards from his desk. "Skyler? Clover? I want you and the Ace-Ops to capture Robyn." Ironwood ordered as Skyler raised an eyebrow.
"Sir?" Clover asked while Skyler hummed. Skyler clasped his hands behind his back, already guessing his uncle was up to something.
The one thing Skyler knew about his uncle. Ironwood was always looking for an angle when it comes to something.
"Robyn and I have… Differences." Ironwood said, waving his hands back and forth. "But we need more personal to keep an eye on Mantle," Ironwood stated while looking at Yang.
"Yang? I want you, Winter, and Penny to patrol Mantle." Ironwood said while brushing off his coat. "People are going to be on edge and the last thing we need is another surprise ambush." Ironwood put in before he turned and walked to the window.
"You want to hunt down Robyn?" Nora asked before Ironwood turned to look at her.
"No, I want to capture her," Ironwood responded while planting his hands on his desk. "She's been raiding our convoys long before you got here, Ms. Valkyrie… And the longer Robyn is out their raiding military convoys? The longer I have to focus on saving those convoys and cannot focus on dealing with things Merlot's army." Ironwood stated while glaring at Nora.
"Everyone else can do what they wish," Ironwood said as he crossed his arms and sighed. "Tonight? It is going to be a very long few hours, and nobody wants to fight a war like this currently," Ironwood said before he turned and walked out of the room.
Skyler hummed as Clover called for Mantas to ferry them to Mantle. It was time to get work done.
"So, I guess we all have our orders," Clover said, looking at Skyler who turned and walked out of Ironwood's office.
It was clear to everyone that Skyler was angry, but there was nothing Clover could say about this.
Winter followed afterward, then Clover and the Ace-Ops before Yang turned and walked out.
"Watch your back," Qrow said while Yang hummed and continued walking. Qrow turned to the others as he let out a sigh.
"I'm going to talk to James and see what the hell is going on," Qrow stated before he walked out of the room. "He needs to give me some answers," Qrow said before letting out another sigh with annoyance.
Ironwood knew something they didn't know. Ironwood was playing a game with Mantle and everyone in it as chess pieces.
"What the hell is your plan, James?" Qrow asked, glaring at the walls, there was something off here.

Phew, another chapter is done! I want to point out that the Robyn fight will be the next chapter. The next chapter will be in 2-4 weeks before it will show the fight with Robyn and maybe a battle between Yang and Skyler. Until then, Lighting Wolf out!
