"Finally, the last student who needs to be placed into a class." A small rodent wearing a white collared shirt said, motioning at the image on the screen. The image displayed what seemed to be the wreckage of what once was a city with a single person standing in the center. The young man turned to where he knew the camera was and smirked. The camera froze and kept that image of his face up for everyone to see.

Immediately two hands raised at the same time, that of pro hero Eraserhead, and fellow pro hero Vlad King. No one else in the room bothered to raise their hands since they knew talent like this belonged nowhere else but the hero course.

"Principal Nezu" Vlad spoke up as he stood. "While I have complete trust in Eraserhead's ability to teach the next generation, I do believe this one should join 1-B. Eraser will have his hands full with Midoriya, Todoroki, and Bakugo. None of their personalities mesh well from what we've seen."

Most of the staff, including the tired looking man himself nodded at their colleagues' words.

"He has precise control over his power and could greatly help push the other students to work harder so as to not fall behind. Finally, 1-A already has three power houses in the three students mentioned before…"

"Hmmm" Nezu hummed, rubbing the fur where his chin is supposed to be. "I'm inclined to agree with you. He'd make an excellent addition to your class and I have faith in your ability to push him even further. If there are no objections…" He trailed off looking over the occupants of the room.

Nezu turned off the monitor and hit the switch to get the lights back on. "That settles it. He'll be put in 1-B and that concludes this year's batch of hero hopefuls. I'll begin sending word out to the students and will have everyone's curriculum available within a few days time." He added, though the last part was directed mostly towards the general ed and business classes.

UA was known for letting the hero and support courses have free reign over how they taught their classes. They still had certain things that were forced to be taught such as math, science, history, and some other courses but for heroics, it was up to the teachers.

Nezu sat atop a desk watching as the staff left the room until only he and Vlad King remained. "Is there something you wish to talk about Sekijiro?" Nezu asked, calling him by his real name now that the two were alone.

The large man nodded. "It's about Uzumaki. His performance was excellent, perhaps one of the best I've seen in years, his grades before that were good and everyone we spoke to regarding him sang nothing but praise for the young man."

The principal of the school took a sip of some coffee he'd prepared before the meeting started but nodded. He had an idea as to where this was going as even Aizawa had brought this up to him after the recommendation exam.

"There's one thing that I can't understand though, every student, whether they're taking the entrance exam or the recommendation exam, needs to fill out a form answering a few questions. One of them is 'Why do you aim to be a hero?' and his answer was 'To satisfy my interests'."

"You worry about his motives."

The white haired man nodded in affirmation.

"You aren't the only one who had that concern. Everyone who looked over that form thought the same thing. You know who recommended him, yes?" Nezu asked.

"His mother, the former number 5 hero Uzumaki Kushina."

"Exactly. Even with the passing of her husband all those years ago she's raised a fine young man and wouldn't recommend him if she didn't think he had what it took to be a hero. Besides, I'm counting on you to steer him in the direction needed, that's what an educator does after all." Nezu finished.

Vlad mulled over the words and bowed quickly before making his way out. If the principal of the school had faith, then he would trust his judgement. Even with that minor concern, the large man couldn't help but feel like he won the student 'draft'. Sure Eraser had gotten three very gifted young men for his class, but Uzumaki was something else.

A month and a half later found that same Uzumaki standing in front of the large gates of UA High School. He was clad in the standard boys uniform consisting of a white button up shirt and tie under a grey jacket with bluish green stripes along the cuffs, lapel, and a button on each shoulder. The pants required to be worn were dark blue green but luckily the school didn't have a rule on footwear so he was able to wear whatever he liked. He ended up choosing a pair of simple all black shoes with a swish like logo on the sides.

The blond glanced up at the large 'U' shaped building in front of him as students made their way past him, all muttering excitedly about their first day.

"Alright mom. Let's see if this place will be as fun as you said it would be." He muttered to himself, smiling slightly at the thought of what was to come.

Walking through the large corridors he glanced left and right, looking for the sign that read '1-B'. It took him about five minutes to find it and saw that the door was rather large, much larger than what any normal person would need. He did understand why, some quirks mutated people and potentially increased their height in some way.

Not all were that lucky though, he had passed a guy in the hall that had what seemed to be a lego for a head.

Grabbing hold of the door knob he twisted and pulled, finding that it was actually much lighter than it appeared. Inside the room he found that it was mostly full, students of various characteristics talking amongst themselves no doubt getting to know the future heroes they'd be working with.

Naruto glanced around the room and found the only open seat remaining in the second row from the back next to the wall. He walked over and dropped his backpack atop the desk before sitting down. Leaning back in his seat he took in his new classmates, or rather, the ones that stood out to him. There was a boy up front who had the head of a praying mantis, a boy whose skin was pure black that he didn't even have any distinguishable facial features, a stoic looking girl with short black hair, a girl with vines for hair, and the young woman who sat next to him, who in his opinion was very pretty.

He turned his head slightly to see those behind him and his eyes widened a fraction as he saw who was sitting at the back row near the window.

'Seems time's have been tough since AOT ended' Naruto thought to himself in amusement as he saw an ashy haired teen who didn't have lips, instead his teeth were just on display like they were on a skull.

"Hey" His eyes panned back to the girl sitting next to him. The dark green haired girl was looking at him with a smile and a peace sign thrown up. "Names Setsuna Tokage. Nice to meet you." She greeted him.

"Uzumaki Naruto, nice to meet you too. If you don't mind me asking, what's your quirk?" Naruto asked.

The woman seemed to perk up slightly, no doubt proud of her quirk. "I call it Lizard Tail Splitter." She looked around quickly and had her hand remove itself from the rest of her body, letting it float around him. "As you can see I can detach parts of my body and move them independently of one another." Her hand went back to his arm and reattached itself as if it had never come off.

Naruto nodded in appreciation, his mind already thinking of the multiple ways that could be used by itself as well as in conjunction with his own quirk. Depending on how many pieces she could split herself into, the possibilities for her were endless.

"What about yours?" She asked.

The blond also glanced around, making sure their homeroom teacher wasn't there yet and lifted a finger up slightly. His backpack began floating in the air, going higher and lower as he commanded it.

"Woah so you got a gravity quirk.." She said in excitement. It seemed like she was going to ask something else but stopped the moment the door opened once more. Every student quieted down and sat upright in their seat as Vlad King, dawning his red and black hero uniform, walked in and stood behind the small podium.

His eyes took everything in, no doubt doing a headcount to make sure everyone had made it. His eyes briefly locked on Naruto's before quickly before continuing his count. The man nodded to himself and wrote something down on a sheet of paper and cleared his throat.

"Good morning class. As you might know I'm pro hero Vlad King and I'm going to be your homeroom teacher for the school year. Something you should know, us hero course teachers are allowed to run a class as we see fit, meaning there might be some school events that we won't be participating in. For example, first year orientation." He explained.

Though nobody in the class said anything out loud, he could tell by the way their eyes darted to one another that they were all surprised by the announcement.

"It's been decided that instead of orientation, class 1-A and B will be taking a quirk assessment test to get a better idea of where your strengths are at the moment." The man checked his watch quickly "They should be done within twenty minutes so feel free to use that time to get acquainted with one another. You'll be seeing each other for the next year so getting contact information could be beneficial to you."

Having said his peace the pro hero took a seat at his desk and began typing something up on the computer.

"A quirk assessment test, sounds like it could be fun. I wonder what kind of tests they'll send our way." Setsuna said, looking at her blond neighbor. "Also he's probably right about the number thing, wanna exchange?" She asked, holding her phone up for the blond to see.

"Sounds good." He agreed and typed his information down on her phone. She gave him a quick call to let him save her number and put it away once done.

"Mind if I ask you something?" She asked, hoping he wouldn't say something like 'you just did'. To her relief he didn't and motioned her to continue. "Since you got here you've been pretty laid back, not looking the least bit nervous while everyone else, me included, is at least somewhat on edge. UA is the best hero school around and we all have a lot of pressure to perform well, so are you just that confident or are you trying to hide it?" She asked blatantly with a smirk on her face.

Naruto found himself mirroring her look and chuckled to himself lightly. He made a mental note about her in his head. She was talkative, seemed confident by the way she carried herself, and didn't mind asking what was on her mind. He liked that.

"No hiding here. I'm actually of the same opinion as you, I'm pretty excited about it. To answer your question though, I am pretty confident there's nothing they can throw at me that I can't handle, at least with this assessment. I came to UA because…" He was cut off by the sound of Vlad King's chair being pushed back.

"Alright everyone, we're going to be heading out to the field now that Eraser is done. There is a locker room just off to the side of the field, grab your P.E uniforms and change into them and meet on the grass in the center of the field." Vlad ordered.

A few minutes later the entirety of the class was gathered around their teacher. Naruto stretched lightly, appreciating how well the shirt and pants stretched. His only gripe with it was the design, had it been just blue pants and a blue shirt it would be ok but it had white stripes on it that spelled 'UA' which while not bad wasn't exactly his favorite.

Setsuna stood next to him, arms crossed, waiting for their teacher to give them instructions.

"Good, you all made it in a timely manner. For the next few minutes I'll be conducting eight basic tests, all of which I want you to use your quirks for. The point of this assessment is to see where you currently stand and to know where your limits are." The man explained.

Naruto watched the man turn around and lead them over to another area. The first test was the fifty meter dash. Four students at a time lined up and once given the signal were told to use their quirk to get the best time possible.

The blond lined up at the starting line with three other classmates and waited for the signal. Once given the word he lightened the gravity around him and manipulated it to propel him forward at immense speeds.

3 seconds flat.

The next test was the grip test in which he manipulated gravity around him in order to crush the machine measuring their power.

The standing long jump followed, another easy one for him as he simply floated over to the other side of the testing area, his hands never coming out of his pockets. He resisted the urge to shake his head, he knew these tests wouldn't be too difficult but this was a cake walk. Even Vlad King had to have known some students would be breezing through this. Setsuna looked just as bored as he did, simply splitting her body apart and floating over next to him.

"Easy." She commented.

Next up was the ball throw, another easy one where he simply lightened the gravity above him and let the ball simply travel up until it was no longer seen. He was pretty impressed when the dark green haired girl did the same thing. She didn't give him the opportunity to ask what would happen next. To his surprise he watched her grow another hand.

It wasn't easy to do from what he gathered. It took a few minutes for it to grow back and she looked exhausted. Still, to grow a body part back like that could be a huge advantage in a fight. If she could regenerate a little faster he was sure she could be in the top five easily.

The next four tests consisted of a long distance run, repeated side steps, seated toe touch, and finally sit ups. All of which most of the class was able to complete with no issues whatsoever.

Shortly after they finished, Vlad announced the results of the assessment. Naruto listened to the man read them out, not surprised in the least bit that he'd gotten the highest score. In second place was an orange haired girl named Kendo Itsuka, followed by Setsuna Tokage, Monoma Neito, and Testutetsu Tetsutetsu.

He only half listened to the rest of the list until Vlad called him up front.

"Uzumaki. While you did get the top score in the class there is a problem." Everyone glanced at the white haired man, waiting to see what transgression their blond classmate had committed. "The point of this exercise was to learn where your limits are so we can properly work on your development. Most everyone here gave it their all...except for you."

All eyes were back on the blond, some looking on curiously while others did look a little upset.

"That's true. I didn't go all out not because I feel like I'm better than you, but because there's no need. If I were to go all out these tests would be meaningless."

It looked like one of the students was going to ask him to elaborate but stopped when a dark purple aura surrounded Naruto.

"20%" The blond whispered to himself. "Presence of the Demon King"

The girl with the green vines for hair perked up at his announcement and blinked twice. "Excuse me, presence of the what?"

All at once everyone on the field felt the gravity in the area begin to push down on them harder, until one by one all of them were laying face down on the ground. Vlad King managed to keep himself upright, but one could see even someone of his size was having to use considerable force to do so.

He would've stopped it had he not realized that the pressure stopped increasing around them. Their surroundings however, weren't so lucky. The ground below them began to break apart, slowly pushing inward turning the area into a small crater. After a few more seconds Naruto finally let the gravity return to its normal level.

The students all shakily began to stand back up and looked at him once more. Unlike last time where some looked at him with varying degrees of anger or curiosity, now they were looking at him in awe. Even the blond boy who could copy quirks was looking at him in a different light.

"See, at 20% I'm capable of destroying the field around us. I'm all for testing my limits but a test like this just isn't enough to do so."

Vlad King stared at him for a moment and wrote something in his clipboard before clearing his throat. "Very well, I'll have to set up another exam at a different time in order to get a better read on your abilities. For now, everyone changes back into your uniforms, we have lessons to get through.

"Hey, sorry about putting you in the dirt." Naruto apologized to Setsuna as they walked back to their respective locker rooms.

To his delight, the young woman didn't look upset in the least bit. She turned to him with an excited look "Oh don't worry about that, I thought it was pretty cool. Now I see why you looked so confident and carefree in class. Don't think I'm gonna let you stay too far ahead of me." She said just before going in a different direction towards the girl's side.

Naruto's eyes couldn't help but admire her form as she walked away. He shook his head slightly, she had to know that he was staring to move her hips like that. Changing back into his uniform he walked back to class with the others, noticing that more people were trying to talk to him. He actually enjoyed talking to Tetsutetsu and Monoma, the first was pretty funny and the second one amused him with his rants.

The rest of the day passed by relatively quickly, consisting of math, science, and other everyday subjects they were forced to learn. When the bell rang, excusing them, he made his way out of the school grounds and began his trek home. Fortunately for him it wasn't too far, only a single train station away.

His house was rather large, being three stories with a big front yard. Walking in he found his mom wasn't present and knew there was only one place she could be. He walked down stairs to their basement, which had been turned into a lab for his mother where she created the latest support gear for pro heroes.

Sure enough his red headed mother was down there tinkering away with a new machine. Even at the age 39 she still looked relatively young. Currently she was wearing a black blouse and skirt combo over a white lab coat and safety glasses.

"Hello dear, how was your first day?" She asked, not taking her eyes off the machine.

"It was alright, nothing too exciting but I have hope." He replied.

His mom shook her head "Did you see Ochako? She's in class 1-A."

"No, I didn't bump into anyone from that class yet but I'll say hello when I see her." He responded. Uraraka Ochako was his first cousin, the first born daughter of his mom's brother. They got along well enough but he always felt like she didn't like to be around him much.

"Well, believe it or not I got homework already so I'll see you in a bit." He said, making his way back up the stairs. The work wasn't too difficult and he found himself finishing within an hour. He laid down on his bed and reflected on his day. He'd made it into the hero course and met some nice people. An image of Tetsutetsu, Monoma, and Setsuna flashed through his mind quickly. While he didn't exactly have fun today he was sure it would be worth being in the class. All he had to do was handle three years before becoming a full on hero and he couldn't stop the smile from forming on his face as he thought about it.

Strong opponents, helping people, money, beautiful women coming onto him. Now that sounded like fun.
