Fangires in Paris! Chapter 6

:Chapter start:

Paris' Day of Love-a couple weeks since Alix's time travel incident

Wateru sat calmly near the entrance to the School as everyone was running out the school to give gifts to those they like. Everything from gifts, food, flowers or letters. Next to Wateru was Megumi, who besides being a big supporter of Love, finds a day solely for sharing that love an excuse for all the Sins against love. So here was Megumi accepting letters with a tired smile, while Wateru received a couple letters from his classmates that surprised him. Wateru notices Max speaking with the Jock of the Class talking about getting in front of his crush with his special jewel incrusted brooch. Marionette and Alya distracted the two before the Jock started running with some supporting words.

Marionette and Alya then walked away as Megumi received her last letter for the moment before saying with a sigh, "Let's head to the Cafe this much sappy love is pissing me off." Wateru simply nods before the pair start walking to the cafe. Megumi continues, "Love conquers all. That class we just had, why does it need to be a kiss?" Wateru simply shrugs as Megumi continued, "This day makes me sick," as she spots an advertisement of Adrien's new fragrance line that several girls were gushing over.

Megumi froze as Chloe showed up and says, "Well Adrien signed my copy," Megumi shakes her head and the two walk away.

Wateru was silent as Megumi could only grumble about the concept of the 'Day of Love.' Megumi eventually asks, "What do you think Wateru?"

Wateru holding all the letters was silent before commenting, "I don't really mind," Megumi round in on him as he whispers, "I mean, some people are unable to be with the ones they care about so the plan ahead so that they can be with," Megumi huffed and started walking away quickly.

Megumi simply says, "If you can't take this seriously then what is the point in talking to you!" Megumi stomps away while Wateru seemed defeated and started walking in a different direction. He continued walking until he found himself in a secluded spot, where he sees a red and black birdman with a bow in arrow shooting people with arrows terrorising couples.

Wateru hid in an alley as Ladybug arrived to stop this Dark Cupid. Kivat flew out Wateru's coat. Kivat simply says, "You have a habit of finding yourself in the right place when you are needed," as if to illustrate Kivat's point, Bloody Rose started playing from its resting place at Kurenai Manor. Kivat adds, "I wonder where it is?" as if to answer Wateru spots the Fangire on a rooftop this one appearing to be able to fly as it was a Bat Fangire.

"Kivat," Wateru states in a confidence not associated to the shut in. Wateru caught Kivat as he flew around and as Kivat bites his hand, Wateru says, "Henshin!" and transforms into Kiva. The Fangire flies down to attack the Akuma only for Kiva to tackle it away from the Akuma.

Ladybug avoided a couple arrows that burst in red smoke while Dark Cupid shouts, "Once you are under my spell I will have you destroy Paris and capture Chat Noir!" Dark Cupid then aims an arrow at Kiva and says, "But I will start with Kiva!" the arrow was released and its aim was true as it hit Kiva in the back. Kiva was stunned in position standing with his back to Dark Cupid while the Fangire decided to run away before Kiva could get him. Kiva's head dropped as Dark Cupid floated next to Kiva before saying, "Now Kiva want to destroy all the Love of Paris?"

Kiva slowly turned to face the stunned Ladybug and appeared to laugh before suddenly back handing Dark Cupid breaking his nose. Kiva starts talking, "It appears that god decided to continue her prank on my spirit," stunning Ladybug and Dark Cupid. Kiva then says, "Though perhaps she wanted me to ensure that love is protected?" Dark Cupid stands and flies out of reach of Kiva who tried to punch the Akuma. Kiva looked up to Dark Cupid and shouts, "Come back down and fight like a man bird thing!"

Dark Cupid growls and says, "Why don't you hate everything!? Today is that Day of Love and I intend to destroy it!"

Kiva looked around and says, "Oh, I thought that today had an unnatural sweetness to it. My true feelings on today are my own, but I am definitely stopping you," Kiva appeared relaxed and playful surprising Ladybug.

"What is going on?" Ladybug asked causing Kiva to pause and slowly turn to Ladybug creeping her out.

Kiva was silent for a moment before suddenly rushing to her side and says, "Perhaps the two of us can ignore this nuisance there is this nice cafe that I used to frequent back when I was among the living," Ladybug tried to climb out of his grip around her shoulders only for Kiva to suddenly jump away with her when Dark Cupid tried to shoot the pair with an arrow. They were on the roof causing Kiva to pause and say, "I live this armour," he looked to his arms before saying, "Though I only have IXA to compare it too."

Ladybug freed herself before asking, "Who are you? Because you are definitely not Kiva?"

"Kiva?" Kiva questions before saying, "I am," he was about to reveal who he was when suddenly Kivat flew off his waist and got between the two.

"No, you will not reveal who you are!" Kivat shouts.

Ladybug blinks before realising, "Wait, that is Kiva's voice!"

Kiva looks to Kivat before chuckling, "You are Kivat the Second's kid," causing Kivat to blink before Kiva speaks, "So I am possessing my own son. Though the question is why is such a beauty wasting her time fighting?"

Ladybug glares before stating, "Because I was chosen," Ladybug then pushed Kiva out the way where an arrow flies past between the two causing Ladybug to fall off the building only for Chat Noir to catch her and start talking to one another on his staff against the wall. Chat Noir was going to speak the heart only for Kiva to drop down and take Ladybug away from Chat Noir.

Chat Noir chases after him shouting, "HEY!" resulting in Dark Cupid's attempts to shoot him with an arrow to miss completely. Chat Noir landed on the ground to see Kiva putting the moves on Ladybug. Chat Noir got in front of Kiva and Ladybug and asks, "What is going on here?"

"Kiva was hit by Dark Cupid's arrow!" Ladybug shouts pointing at the Akuma who was flying down to shoot Ladybug with an arrow only for Kiva to catch the arrow and throw it over his shoulder while laughing at Dark Cupid's terrible aim. Chat Noir freed Ladybug as Dark Cupid flew away and the two started chasing after Dark Cupid. Ladybug comments, "Dark Cupid's Akuma is in a brooch on his chest!"

Kiva had been chasing the pair before noticing the brooch on Dark Cupid as he aimed at the pair. He grabbed a loose brick at his feet and threw the brick at Dark Cupid smashing the brooch freeing the Akuma for Ladybug to catch, Kiva rushed to her side and asks, "Now that the distraction is out the way perhaps," Kiva became light headed and comments, "Looks like god is sending me back to heaven. Oh well," his voice was really light before Kiva was silent as he looked around.

Ladybug asks, "Kiva?" Kiva was silent before summoning his bike and riding away.

Chat Noir asks, "What happened?"

Ladybug shrugs before using her Miraculous Cure to undo the limited damage caused by Dark Cupid. Ladybug says, "Look Chat you almost got hit by the Akuma."

"I just wanted to share my feelings," Chat Noir argued.

"Look," Ladybug starts, "We don't know who the other is under our masks. For all I know you could be a ninety year old man and I could be underage compared to you," she then checks the time on her Yoyo and says, "I have to go," with that she makes a hasty retreat leaving a disappointed Chat Noir, who would later smile as someone had apparently responded to a poem he tried to write earlier that day.

With Kiva

Kiva transformed into Wateru as he reached his home and could only sigh as he rubbed his head in confusion. Last thing he remembered after being hit with an arrow then feeling drowsy before waking up to the sight of Chat Noir appearing jealous and Ladybug looking at him in concern. Wateru sighs before walking into his home to find Megumi lounging around eating chips and looking on her phone.

Megumi noticed Wateru and says, "Hey Wateru pass me your phone," Wateru was confused as Megumi took his phone anyway before saying, "Chloe posted online how Adrien would only ever sign an autograph for her. I am going to link Adrien to this post."

Wateru simply nods before going over to carve some face plates of Violins before Megumi watched a news report with the female news anchor speak, "This is Nadja Chamack with news on today's Akuma attack. What is known is that the victim transformed into a black and red version of Cupid with large wings and armed with a large bow and a limitless number of arrows that cause those hit with them to invert their view on Love. As today is Paris' Day of Love the entire incident could have been a disaster except for one reason," Megumi looks at the screen and sees Kiva apparently flirting with Ladybug and causing Chat Noir to become jealous, "Is this the start of a love triangle that could tear our Miraculous Heroes to split? More news as it comes."

Megumi blinks at that before becoming Jealous herself and says, "I never took Kiva to be the love-struck type," Megumi shakes her head not really knowing why she felt like this. Wateru was silent not really understanding anything that was going on.

With Kamen Rider Rey and Kivala.

Rey had just watched the news report and had an interesting idea as he turned to Kivala, "Seduce Kiva, gain his trust and then take the Kivat from him." Kivala silently nods, thankful that Rey could not see her face before she left quickly. Rey's Kivat flew around Rey before Rey says, "After this mission she is to be replaced." Kivat Rey simply nods in agreement.

Unknown to the two, a bowl of water had a green merman looking plant creature watching them before it vanished.

With Keisuke Nago-Cheap motel at city limits.

Nago watched the news and after it finished he spoke his thoughts aloud, "Well this proves everything I have been saying. Kiva is not to be trusted," he then looks to the picture of Ladybug on screen and thinks, "How do I use her to get to Kiva," before looking to the vials that he had stolen from the Organisations Research Centre. There is warning labels on the vials mainly not to open outside of a vacuum sealed chamber and Toxic, he ignored the Toxic symbol before contemplating a plan to defeat Kiva. Nago pulls out a laptop and starts searching for a location that could be used against Kiva, though he looked through his files before messaging an old ally for a special type of software that he needs for his hunt.

With Wateru-Several Days later-Morning

Wateru walked into Dupont High School with the plan the intention of killing time before heading to the Louvre. Kivat wanted to see a recently new piece of Egyptian History. Wateru noticed Marionette talking into her purse and with his advanced hearing he heard Marionette say to her Kwami, "What am I going to do Tiki, Alya is going to know that I lost my history text book." Wateru was silent before reaching into his backpack and walking over to Marionette holding out his history text book to Marionette. Marionette blinks before appearing guilty as she says, "Look, the reason I was talking into my purse was," she could say nothing more as Wateru placed the History Text Book in her hands and walked inside silently.

Tiki from her purse frowns before commenting as her small red head popped out the purse, "Be thankful that he did, otherwise Alya could suspect you."

Marionette frowns before commenting, "But what if Wateru finds out that I am," she could not even finish that thought.

Tiki then spoke up, "The question is what does he actually know?"

Marionette frowns at that but heads inside to find Wateru at his desk waiting for class to start for the day. Alya arrived and sat with Marionette and asks, "What did you find out about Ladybug?"

Marionette was silent, not knowing what to say before she states, "You will just have to wait for the end of the day."

With that everyone started arriving for class along with Hansha sitting with Wateru, while the class started the lesson. History class for that day turned out to be about Egyptian History and that in the coming week there would be a test on the basic history of Egypt. Along with their regular classes before the day ended with Wateru walking to the bus station with Marionette and Alya sitting on the bus with him. Wateru was silent as the two would talk adamantly with each other about their interests. When they reached the Louvre Wateru quickly walked towards the Egyptian Exibit and was directed to a scroll in the back of the room by Kivat.

With Hansha or Kivala at the moment

Kamen Rider Kivala was patrolling the city with the idea that, that is how Kiva was able to find Fangires before they tried to feed on Akuma's or the resident Superheroes. It was literally the only thing she could think would be possible. Kivala leaped across rooftops having started her patrol as soon as school ended for the day. Kivala paused in annoyance before pulling out a map of Paris which was filled with markings of a possible route Kiva would take using sightings of Kiva and his battles. The map had about twenty different routes that appears to make zero sense. Kivala sighs and looks down to the street below to see an Ice Cream stand that several couples appeared to be enjoying ice cream together. Kivala was staring at the stand as her stomach groans that made her rub her stomach in pain having not eaten since breakfast the morning before. Rey did not believe in feeding those who do not get results.

Kivala jumped across rooftops, before stopping at the Louvre where she took a seat on the roof where she watched the visitors enter and leave the Louvre. Kivala struggled to move and decided to just calmly recover some limited energy, eventually succumbing to slumber leaving her defenceless.

Inside the Louvre

Wateru stared at the old scroll, his focus on a pair of figures, apparently a god banished a female beauty that spurned the gods love only to be sealed away. It then speaks of a ritual to revive the beauty from her untimely death. Wateru though, was staring at the god figure seeing the symbol of Kiva on the gods chest.

Alya and Marionette walked over with Alya asking, "So what does this scroll have to do with Ladybug?"

Marionette had no idea what Alya was talking about but was trying to indicate what Alya was looking for. Wateru simply points at a picture of an ancient Ladybug where Alya notices and starts snapping photos until one of the Historian related to Alix, where he was talking to Alix's father apparently the younger man was trying to convince his father let him perform the ritual to prove if an ancient Pharaoh could revive the dead. There was an argument ended when the younger of the two tried to grab a sceptre which is worth more than all the artefacts in the Louvre. The Historian left quickly leaving Wateru, Alya and Marionette to stare at the scroll that Alya started recording all the markings on the scroll for later review and to post on her blog. Marionette turned to Wateru only to see him staring at the God Figure and notices what he was looking at and her eyes widened at the sight of Kiva's symbol. Marionette was silent until they heard a commontion behind them and notices an Akuma looking like an ancient Egyptian God. Marionette whispers to her friends, "Hide!"

Marionette hid the furthest from the scroll and sceptre while Alya was live streaming the Akuma attack on her blog which would be a saving grace for Alya and Ladybug because it alerted Chat Noir to the danger. Wateru continued to stare at the scroll doing nothing to agitate the Akuma, and simply walked away without being noticed by Pharaoh.

Marionette transformed into Ladybug while no one could see her, and Ladybug jumped climbed out from behind Marionette's hiding place and was noticed by Alya. Ladybug waved to her to get out of here only for Alya to say, "Ladybug waved to me," only for her to be captured by the Akuma, apparently she was mistaken for a look alike to the lost Beauty. Ladybug went to save her only for the Pharaoh to start shifting heads giving him different powers.

With Wateru-on the way out the Louvre-A couple minutes later

Wateru was walking passes several golden spheres with people sealed inside, Wateru was walking to the exit when Kivat flew out his coat and stopped him from getting to far as they reached an empty hall. Kivat says, "We have to interfere," Wateru frowns as Kivat continues, "That scroll's text is not to revive the dead but to release a great evil. We can't let that happen."

Wateru blinks before asking, "What is the great evil?"

Kivat simply says, "I do not know," Kivat's statement was met with Bloody Rose alerting Wateru of Fangires coming.

Wateru caught Kivat out the air and says, "Henshin," and transformed into Kiva and returning to the large gallery where many people were still trapped in the orbs and a pair of insect Fangires were about to turn Ladybug into a snack as she slowly rolled towards the main entrance. Kiva clawed the two away before Chat Noir arrived and freed Ladybug from the orb. Kiva caught a pair of fangs that tried to eat Chat Noir only to throw each of them at the two Fangires.

The two Fangires vanished quickly before Ladybug showed the two her Yoyo Phone where Alya was showing the ritual taking place and Kivat says, "We have to stop him."

Ladybug looks to Kiva's belt and says, "Drop the puppet act and explain."

Kivat sighs and flies off his perch and floats around Kiva's head and says, "Look the translations that man spoke of was wrong. The First Kiva sealed away a woman who threatened his reign as King. She was the last of her kind meaning he had to follow the ancient treditions of the Mekozou Races."

Ladybug frowns and says, "We have to save Alya. Come on!" they all ran outside to see that everyone outside had turned into mummies to perform the ritual with the staff using the Louvre's pyramid structure. The mummies appeared to chant while praying as Pharaoh held the staff and had the scroll float around them. Alya was recording everything with her phone that Ladybug was using it to spy on the Akuma and heard what he had planned. Ladybug says, "He is going to sacrifice Alya."

Kivat simply says, "Then he mistook the translation. The Fangire Script on the bottom of the scroll has a warning at the base. Something that has not been done for several thousand years."

Chat Noir asks, "What was the warning?"

"Only flying Females are to be used in the ritual," Kivat states causing the Miraculous holders to look at the golden cartoon bat strangely. Kivat continued, "It was a complicated time five thousand years ago. The First Kiva was a king who ruled all the Makuzou Races in peace before the one who became the Second Kiva destroyed the first to become Kiva before destroying an entire race of the Makuzou to cement his rule. We need to stop this before the ritual can start."

With that Ladybug made a plan, "Okay, Chat and Kiva you three distract the Mummies and Pharaoh while I save Alya then we target the Akuma inside Pharaoh's necklace." With that the three males nodded in agreement before Chat Noir charged the Mummies while Kiva rushed them and knocked them out with chops to the back of their necks quickly. Ladybug reached Alya in the distraction only for Pharaoh to gain the power of flight and take Alya into the air as the mummies tackle her to the ground. Chat Noir goes to rescue her only for bandages to holded him still. Ladybug managed to free one arm and shout, "Lucky Charm!" the yoyo went up a metre before landing onto her hand a jewellery box much like the one she received her Miraculous only this one was red with black spots. Ladybug struggled to move until Kivala arrived and kicked them away as Kiva was tackled by the two insect Fangires as in the distance Bishop was watching the battle. Ladybug was able to stand and was able to look in the box to find a strange Whistle like the ones that Kiva uses. Ladybug looked around and saw the world in black and white with some items turning red with black spots. What she saw was Kiva, the Flestle and what appeared to be an egg inside the portal that grew in the sky. Ladybug shouts, "Kiva!" and threw the Flestle for Kiva to catch and insert into Kivat's mouth.

"ANUBIA CLAWS!" Kivat shouts with power.

Alya was half way up the pillar of golden energy when suddenly she fell as the ritual failed due to the egg shaped relic flew out the portal and towards Kiva. Ladybug used her Yoyo to launch herself towards Alya and caught the her before she could be hurt. The egg looking relic split in two with claws extended before attaching to Kiva's wrists creating chains around his chests and shins that burst revealing cat like claws and golden armour over a white chest. Kiva's visor turned white before he started Hissing like a cat before jumping at the two Fangires and violently clawing their faces and removing large quantities of glass from their bodies. They panicked and started running away only for Kiva to chase the pair and violently slash the only one he caught stabbing through its body and have his claws stuck in the ground.

Pharaoh looked to Kiva and charged him intending to end him as he shouts, "I will be reunited with Nephratity!"

Kiva's claws glowed before they leaped from his hands and combined before being replaced with what appeared to be a female cat Monster, wearing what appeared to be royal gold armor from ancient Egypt. The cat monster back handed the Akumatised Victim away while looking around. The Cat monster looks around and says, "This place seems nice, though the lack of sand is annoying," the Cat starts walking forward and spots Ladybug and Chat Noir and says, "Where am I Cleopatra?" indicating Ladybug.

Ladybug frowns before saying, "Paris France," unsure what was going on.

The Cat Monster turned to the confused Kiva and her eyes go red, "KIVA!" and leaps at Kiva only for a purple Frankenstien's Monster to appear and hold her down before Garuda and the green merman appeared in golden flashes stopping the creature. The blue werewolf nods to Kiva before they were enveloped in a golden light before turning into their relic forms before flying into the air and being eaten by Castle Dooran.

Kiva silently watches Castle Dooran fly away while Kivala captures the Akumatised Victim so that Ladybug could quickly grab his necklace and free the corrupted butterfly and the purify it and setting it free. Ladybug then sees Kivala make a hasty retreat only to pause at a hotdog vendor and quickly steal a couple cooked hotdogs without buns or condiments before running away. Ladybug fixed everything with Miraculous Cure before looking to Kiva who summoned his bike. She rushed over and asks, "Who were those three?"

Kivat from his perch simply says, "Kiva's Guardians," with that Machine Kivaa arrived and Kiva sped away before Nago arrived only to see that Kiva was gone along with a retreating form of Ladybug and Chat Noir. Nago growled silently before speeding away.

Alya who had been left alone uploaded her entire stream before Marionette returned and apologised for being turned into a Mummy. Alya shakes her head and thanks Marionette for helping before commenting, "Where is Wateru?"
