Sunday; night
Daniela was not sure for how long exactly she was sprawling out on her bed. Neither did she care, truth to be told. The last minutes… - hours? - were spent in a depression-induced haze, with neither strength available for her limbs nor productive thoughts for her erratic mind. The light was slowly being sapped from her vision, with only all-consuming darkness remaining in its wake.
How could EVERYTHING go so wrong!?
She had been preparing for this day for years. Ever since that magical, unforgivable moment they had shared four years - that Kiss of True Love - Daniela knew they were meant to be together, no matter the obstacles that stood in their path.
So she prepared.
Without arousing overt suspicion, she had elicited information about the modern human society - from the Duke, Bela, even from their own newly-recruited mortal staff.
She had planned. It was not a simple thing to escape her loving but overprotective family. Measures had to be taken and diversions made.
On warmer days, in her free time, Daniela had scrounged around the depopulated valley - searching for forgotten treasures that would be needed to enlist the Duke's services she required to make her grand escape. Crawling around in dark and dank places was not her idea of fun, yet it was worth it if that meant reuniting with her beloved.
Last but not least - she had worked hard to master herself. To take control over her rampant emotions. To tame her rage and smooth out her excitement. To be a better person, worthy of that special man's affections. That was not an easy path and it was filled with setbacks, yet her progress had been undeniable.
And now, after years of preparation, sacrifice and betterment, every piece of the puzzle came together, except one. His love.
He DOESN'T love me… not like I want him to… Was it all… for naught?
Curled up on her bed, Daniela simply stared at the featureless gray wall to her left. That's how her soul felt right about now - drained of all positive emotions. The girl felt like crying, yet clearly she was out of tears, since no further liquid trickled down her mascara-smeared face. Perhaps that was for the best, since both her bed sheets were already wet, and her eyes almost painfully puffy red.
The light was no longer shining into her room, implying that it was already evening, yet the passage of time seemed meaningless when confronted with the staggering revelation of the fact that she was unwanted, despite her previously firm belief to the contrary.
At the moment of Ethan's world-shattering unveiling of the fact that Mia Winters was alive, Daniela's erratic mind had gone on a rampage. She had been so utterly torn between vastly divergent courses of action that the only thing she was able to accomplish was to scream at Ethan to be gone from her sight. Naturally, the kind-hearted man, in defiance of her wishes, had attempted to comfort her with his normally welcome touch - only to be roughly pushed away. She could not bear to be in his presence, so the redhead had fled from her own kitchen - only to lock herself in her bedroom. Perhaps getting the hint, Ethan did not bother her anymore, allowing her this moment of self-reflection. And good thing too, since she was not sure that she would be able to keep herself from eviscerating her One True Love after his rejection, despite her assurance that she would never harm him.
Before despair and resignation had firmly entrenched themselves in her mind, she had considered several possible courses of action. The very first one was also the most tempting at that moment.
To kidnap Ethan in the night. Surely, the man was simply confused about his feelings and a couple of weeks down in her basement, with nobody but her for company and he would come around. Surely, Ethan would realize that they were meant to be. Yes, she would have to keep him chained, but it would be for his own good! Once he would realize the folly of denying the fact of their entwined fates, they could be happy together - forever.
Before she could proceed with the abduction, however, Daniela came to the startling conclusion that true love cannot be forced - born from empirical experience. She had already tried it, after all. Several times. Some poor village youths that had caught her eye and were kept against their will in her personal part of the dungeons. No matter how many kind words or sweet treats she would offer them, they would not stop cursing her name and beg for mercy and freedom.
She would not keep him captive. Daniela wanted Ethan to love her on his own volition, out of his own free will. Nothing else was worth a damn.
Then came the second notion. Ethan did want to love her. Perhaps Ethan already loved her, after all - despite his words to the contrary. But there was an obstacle in the way of his love. His stupid wife, who didn't know better than to stay fucking dead and make way for her!
And just like any obstacle she had encountered before, Daniela was ready to remove it - by force, if necessary. Oh, how she wanted to rip and tear that worthless little whore to pieces. To drain her body dry of blood, to feast upon her still-beating heart and then to shred her into insignificant pieces. It would be so fucking easy to do it. How could Daniela allow a simple, miserable human woman to stand in the way of her love!?
But then came the realization that Ethan would grow to hate her, if she did that. What kind of a horrid monster would she be, if she simply tore her way into his family like that, through bloodshed and misery? No. She would not be worthy of his love if she murdered Ethan's beloved wife out of her desire to be together with him.
But what else was there for her?
Nothing…
No matter how hard she thought or how much she cried, Daniela could not come to a solution that would see her win his unconditional love.
Curling into a fetal position, Daniela wanted to find an end to her misery - any end.
Perhaps… we are not meant to be, after all…
Who would ever love a fucking MONSTER like me, anyway? Cassandra was right… I am so damn STUPID for fancying otherwise…
Trying to shake off the depressing thoughts, Daniela attempted to focus on the brighter aspect, regardless of how tiny it was. Regardless of her broken heart, anything was better than being alone, however. If she could not win his love, she would have to find satisfaction in his friendship.
If Ethan was genuine in his offer of friendship - HE WAS - perhaps I could still have a memorable adventure in this strange land of humans. Something that could justify the effort I had spent to get here…
Her lips morphed into a tiny smile at the thought. She had wanted to have an adventure for so long, after all. And now, she had a unique chance to do that - away from her overbearing family and with a whole, previously forbidden world to explore. Just because she could not fulfill her heart's deepest desire didn't mean that everything was bleak and dark. After all… after endless decades of being stuck in that horrible valley of theirs, she is finally out here in the bigger world!
Finding a modicum of solace and vigor in that thought, the redhead slowly got out of her bed, but the moment her small feet touched the floor, so did the hunger reveal itself.
She had wallowed in her misery for at least the better part of the day and now her tummy hurt badly as if it was digesting itself.
"Oww…"
Gently petting her own belly, the miserable creature that was Daniela Dimitrescu gave a glance to a small wall-mounted clock, only to lightly gasp out in shock.
"It's two in the night already!? Oh…damn."
With their swift metabolic rates, so did the Dimitrescu daughters felt hunger more acutely than most humans.
"So hungry…"
Hastily getting downstairs and approaching the refrigerator, Daniela suddenly stopped as a depressing thought crossed her mind. She knew full-well that nothing but frozen animal meat and chilled blood-packs awaited her there.
"Ugh… fuck that!"
After a full day of raw misery and an existential crisis, Daniela wanted - no, she needed fresh, warm man-blood. Blood-starved, the vampire saw her hands shaking from her unbridled desire for a fresh kill and the feast that would follow.
Ordinary, Daniela was the least dependent on human blood for her daily sustenance; fully able to go days and even weeks by subsisting entirely on animal subsidiaries, but today, the emotional toll was great enough that Daniela felt like yielding control of her own body to that primal being inside of her. In fact, the youngest Dimitrescu suddenly came to a conclusion that she would most definitely go crazy if she did not get some of that freshly-spilled sanguine liquid. And absolutely nobody wanted her to go crazy. She came here to have a shot at love and adventure, not to go on an uncontrollable murderous rampage, once again.
"I need blood… warm… fresh… man-blood."
There was no choice. She had to go out on a hunt right now, or her adventure was bound to end with this whole nice neighborhood covered with gore and viscera. And she did not want that. She did not want Ethan to see that side of her.
Pulling on a slightly oversized black hoodie that concealed most of her features, Daniela quietly left her house through the backdoor. Making sure nobody was watching, the vampiric girl shapeshifted into her swarm form. Thankfully, in the darkness of the night nobody would see some black clothing, much less her flies - floating around through the air.
Despite her unnatural urges demanding her to dismember the very first unfortunate human that would cross her gaze, Daniela was smart enough to make some distance between her newfound dwelling and any potential victims. The Duke had talked at length about how competent the humans had become at hunting down her kind. While the ordinary human civilians were barely a threat and she could drown in all the blood she would be able to spill if she desired to do so, the so-called B.S.A.A. people would have little trouble bringing her down - if she appeared on their radar.
She had to be meticulous, careful and expedient in her hunts, if she wanted to remain undetected and safe in this strange city. Leaving her medium-to-high income neighborhood, Daniela directed her swarm towards what she knew to be a poorer district. Nobody would miss some homeless bum, right..?
After fluttering for around ten minutes, Daniela coalesced together on a rooftop of some three-story building. While the sight granted by her bugs' eyes was good enough to see blurry shapes and featureless silhouettes, the lack of focus and distant vision would be problematic for selecting a proper prey item. Her human eyes, however, offered a degree of night vision and sharp, predator-like focus that would be far more suitable to the task. Knowing the capabilities of both of her shapes well, Daniela began to properly survey her chosen location.
From her elevated spot, the Dimitrescu searched for her preferred prey - a male specimen - preferably between 20 and 50; healthy. Moreover, the target had to be isolated and in a place where other humans would not be able to see her assaulting him.
Nervously fingering the hilt of her dagger, Daniela gazed out into the night, desperate for her next meal.
To her annoyance, the streets of this deserted district appeared utterly devoid of life. Absolutely nobody showed up in the next five minutes, making the vampire's stomach growl in displeasure.
Letting out a sigh of frustration, the vampiric girl proceeded to change her location and soon found herself on top of a five-story building in another block. This time, the amount of humans loitering below her was enough to make her raise one delicate eyebrow. Moreover, some loud, energetic music was coming from the neon-light-covered building which seemed to attract humans akin to a fire attracting moths. The lively beat reached her even on her spot on the roof - resonating pleasantly with her own pulse. To her sharp eyes it was plain to see that the loitering humans were having fun and if not for her ravenous hunger she was sure that she would be tempted to join them down there in a less… predatory manner.
Unfortunately, with things being as they are, the redhead had to ignore the colorful lights and booming music. The rumbling in her tummy demanded her to focus her attention exclusively on the hunt and so she did just that.
Locking her gaze on particular individuals one at a time in her search for the perfect prey item, Daniela was happy to note that most of them appeared to fall into her desired categories. Young and healthy. Perfect blood donors.
While she naturally could not just march down there and grab the most delicious-looking human, Daniela was swift to notice that the young people were constantly trickling in and out of the fancy building - with many of them leaving it and dispersing into the surrounding maze-like streets in pairs and sometimes even by themselves.
After a couple of minutes of searching for the perfect potential prey, the youngest Dimitrescu managed to identify a promising specimen. A male in his early twenties, with a healthy tan and no visible afflictions - heading right towards the seemingly abandoned district, all by himself… ripe for the taking.
Despite the fact that it was the middle Dimitrescu sibling that was infamous for her hunting instincts and predatory mentality, Daniela herself was not completely bereft of a prey drive. Not even close.
As she carefully followed her would-be-victim, the vampiric girl felt her heart-rate spiking, her black heart pumping all that mold-rich blood - preparing her muscles for the potential chase; pupils dilating, appearing almost catlike in the way her amber orbs glowed in the darkness - allowing her to lock her predatory gaze on her hapless prey.
Like a silent shadow, Daniela stalked across rooftops of low-rise buildings, never losing track of the human. Unable to help herself, the youngest sibling licked her dry lips in cruel anticipation once the blood-bag left the populated alley - utterly unaware of the mortal threat that hovered right above him. By the time the man reached the deserted streets of the residential district he had likely called home, Daniela became acutely aware of that thrill of the hunt Cassandra always spouted about.
It's like every single cell in her body was tingling with exhilaration. The misery of the day gave way to the anticipation of the imminent kill. Even Ethan's rejection itself retreated to the back of her mind - not entirely gone, but suppressed by this most primal of drives.
Soon, the darkened streets around them were empty of all but Daniela and her prey. Nobody was in the way of her feast. Nothing could save this foolish man from her sharp fangs now.
How foolish this human is! Didn't his mama teach him about the perils of wandering all alone in the night?
Daniela gave one last glance around the immediate area and upon confirming the fact of their… privacy, smirked. It was not a kind smirk. Adopting complete tunnel vision focused exclusively on the hapless human, the vampire leapt from her spot at the rooftop. The landing was completely muffled by her unleashed swarm, which gently carried her form; with her feet touching the ground softly and silently. The human was none the wiser to her presence and appeared to be completely consumed by his own woes as Daniela briskly but quietly closed the distance, with her right hand clutching her dagger tightly.
One quick slice will be all it takes to end this pathetic man. A swift yet deep cut into his jugular to sever the windpipe and the vocal cords - ensuring not only his silent demise, but a fountain of that sweet arterial blood for the vampire to feast upon. It would not be the first time Daniela performed such a slice on a live opponent.
Raising the deadly weapon up to his throat-level, Daniela was prepared to end the brief hunt and reap her unaware prey. A couple of more cautious but swift steps and she was right behind her victim and in a second the edge of her blade would be touching the skin of his neck.
"JEJEJE"
Frozen dead in her tracks from the suddenness of the strange yet jolly laughter, as well as energetic music that accompanied it, Daniela had no choice but to postpone his execution.
"Enrique Iglesias (¡One love, One love!)"
Fluttering her eyelids in shock, it took the man reaching for his phone for Daniela to realize that these peculiar sounds were coming from his device - likely a ringer of some kind.
"Descemer"
With a huff, the young man fumbled with his phone - his apparently inebriated condition preventing him from immediately accepting the call.
"Yo te miro y se me corta la respiración
Cuando tú me miras se me sube el corazón
Me palpita lento el corazón
Y en un silencio tu mirada dice mil palabras (Uh)
La noche en la que te suplico que no salga el sol"
Daniela simply stood slack-jawed as the tiny device kept bathing her in vigorous soundwaves. A bit technophobic as a natural result of her isolated upbringing, she was still not used to these baffling human thingamajigs.
Finally, the inebriated man - still totally unaware of the vampire standing right behind him - managed to press the 'accept' button, not forgetting to let out an annoyed sigh. The man - a boy really, judging from his high-pitched voice - spoke in Spanish, which made sense, since they were in Spain. While Daniela was not a Bela-level polyglot, she did know enough to understand the conversation.
"God, mama, I told you I would be late today! I'll be home in ten minutes! Stop worrying, alright!" a very worried voice from the phone made a reply - one Daniela could not hear beyond the fact that it was feminine, yet the boy clearly got even more frustrated and annoyed from it, "No, mama - Martina is not with me… she is… busy!"
Ending the call with a scoff, the boy proceeded to trudge forward, while mumbling under his breath.
"That bitch Martina… swooning all over Hugo behind my back… right after I've introduced her to mama… that whore!"
Upon hearing his source of grief, Daniela couldn't help but let out a shocked gasp - as his woes reflected hers seemingly so perfectly! Instantly - alerted by her gasp - the boy turned around and stumbled backwards from her, utterly horrified by the fact of her unexpected presence.
"Holy fuck! Who the hell are you, lady!? A pickpocket!?"
As she gazed into his widened brown eyes, Daniela did not answer his panicked inquiry. The gift of speech had left her body - replaced by a soul-crushing revelation as being confronted by his terrified visage was enough to shatter the fragile illusion constructed by Daniela's mind.
This young man - a boy, really - was not just some faceless, nameless meatbag for her to dine upon.
He was a person, with his own family, with his own troubles and with his own hopes and dreams. And she had been perfectly happy to squish it all, just to have a midnight snack.
I wanted to be a better person… but I am just a horrid monster, after all. A murderous beast, unworthy of love. I came here to escape the bloodshed and misery of our past, yet here I am… so eager to bring it all with me. No…
At her continued silence, the man took a step back, even as he tried to peer under her hoodie.
Daniela made a step forward, unwilling to let her prey escape, despite the inner turmoil that was taking place inside of her.
Ethan will never love me if I'll just go and murder his fellow humans whenever I am feeling peckish. And he would be right not to! This boy did nothing wrong to me or my family - he does not deserve to die!
"Look, lady… I am calling the police if you don't back the hell away from me!"
The boy reached for his phone once again, only for Daniela to be upon him in a blink of an eye; with a single lightning-fast fling of her arm swatting the gadget away. Before he could even cry out, a dainty but shockingly strong hand was coiled around his neck - constricting his airways. After a brief but fruitless attempt to overpower her, the scrawny kid realized that he could do nothing but stare into her now visible amber orbs. The way they burned with hunger was more frightening than anything else he had seen in his life.
I need his blood… but do I need to kill him to get it? No… I don't!
Suddenly recalling all the tricks and tips learned from both Bela and Cassandra over the decades, Daniela realized that she had all the tools needed to get what she wanted without actually claiming this innocent boy's life.
I might remain a monster forever… but I no longer need to be a murderer.
Unburdened by the revelation, Daniela immediately adopted her cheerful demeanor and flashed a toothy grin at the boy, before chirping out, "Having girl troubles, huh? I can relate! Maybe this can aid your wounded heart!"
In a blink of an eye, Daniela released the young man from her grasp - only to slam her lips against his own.
Utterly stunned by this shocking turn of events, the boy did not move a muscle as Daniela coiled her arms around his back, while assaulting his mouth with frenzied kisses. He tasted of cheap beer and smelled of cheaper yet cologne, yet the vampiric woman didn't mind - this was not for her benefit, after all. She simply wanted this innocent youth to feel good… as what would come next would suck massively for him, even if she was now committed to leaving him in one piece.
In between her swift smooches, Daniela let out a question in her flirty tone, "So what's your name, little one?"
Too shocked for coherent speech, the youth responded with a slurred mumble that Daniela had to struggle to decipher as 'David'.
"David, huh… a cute name for a cutie… mhm…"
The light moan from Daniela was enough to animate the young man, who started to slowly relax in her tender hold…
…only to get slammed against the wall in the next moment.
Overcome by sheer surprise and with his breath forcefully expunged from his lungs due to the violent impact, the youth could not protect himself from Daniela roughly rotating him around and putting him into a sleeper hold - something she had learnt how to properly perform from Cassandra.
"Shhh…"
Again, David could only feebly struggle in the unyielding vampire's blood choke and only for a short while. After fifteen seconds, his oxygen-deprived brain experienced a black out and his struggles ceased, sparing him the pain from Daniela's imminent feeding.
After gently guiding his unconscious body to lean against the wall, Daniela - salivating from hunger - did not hesitate in slashing his left wrist right across the veins. Normally, such a wound would not produce that much blood, but with the added suction made by her famished mouth, she could get all that she needed.
Not wasting a single precious second, Daniela's mouth was upon the slit wrist and with feral hunger she proceeded to suck every delectable drop of that priceless sanguine ichor. Untainted by oxygen, the rich blood of this healthy young man was swift to drive the redhead into a high as she greedily sucked the wound. Just like it was always the case, the divine taste of man-blood was enough to dispel her every worry, every regret… every heartbreak, even.
Moaning in heavenly pleasure, Daniela's bleak mind was once again invaded by bright colors of happiness. Not even Ethan's rejection seemingly mattered in this moment of raw ecstasy as she partook upon this most invigorating of substances. All the collective grief and misery of her existence had no choice but to take a backseat - at least for as long as the vampiric girl fed upon this unfortunate mortal.
Even beyond her mind, Daniela could feel her whole body being energized by the rich blood of her hapless victim. While mostly similar to humans themselves in their solid shape, one big difference of Dimitrescu daughters' biology was their unique ability to metabolize blood extremely swiftly and efficiently - providing an unparalleled energy boost, while also accelerating the production of all kinds of hormones…
Despite spending the majority of this day in abject misery, Daniela felt herself on Cloud Nine at this moment. As seconds of the feeding turned into minutes, the redhead sensed her bliss only intensifying. In fact, she felt so good that she had no doubt that she could drain this little morsel dry of his entire supply of blood… which was not exactly conducive to his well-being. But did it truly matter..?
Enough!
Opening her amber orbs - which were previously closed shut in euphoric glee - Daniela noted the youth's previously tanned skin adopting a more pale hue - indicating a moderate blood loss. If she stopped now, he would still be able to walk it off with some headache, but if she kept sucking at the wound, the man might not wake up ever again… But he tasted so good… maybe she could drink just a little bit more? Surely, David was happy to donate his life-giving fluids to her…
NO, he is NOT happy! Stop it, Daniela Dimitrescu! You are not a murderer! Not anymore!
"...not a murderer…"
Whispering to herself, Daniela stopped the suction and after carefully licking the wound for any leftover blood, leaned her head a bit backward. To her fright, the injury appeared exacerbated by her unrestrained enthusiasm and continued lazily bleeding.
She could not just leave him like that, so the vampire swiftly took off her hoodie in preparation for providing first aid. Recalling another trick she had once upon a time learnt from Bela, the redhead proceeded to tear the sleeve of her own shirt and after some fumbling with it, managed to produce what the elder sister referred to as a makeshift tourniquet. David's wrist still bled, and Daniela wanted to do her best to ensure his survival; therefore she followed Bela's example - who had once done something similar to keep an important prisoner alive after Cassandra had brutally cut him.
After she was done with properly applying the tourniquet in a way that saw the blood flow to his damaged arm partially restricted, Daniela stood up to admire her handiwork. Even seeing the bleeding slowing down to a trickle, she was still not satisfied. Humans were so fragile, after all - what if he develops an infection and perishes in the night? Bela always kept pestering the Duke for disinfectants for their maids, didn't she?
Less than thrilled at the possibility of such an outcome for this beautiful young man who had so generously donated his blood to her, Daniela gasped in mirth as an idea struck her head.
Humans usually help each other, right?
Not thinking twice, Daniela lifted the young man up, bridal style, and proceeded to briskly carry him in the direction of that large building with loud music coming from it. She did not know where he lived, so that was the next best place for him to be in, right?
Soon approaching the end of the residential district and immediately spotting a couple of young people walking, hand in hand, in her general direction, Daniela carefully placed the boy in her arms to lean against the alley's wall, while softly kissing his forehead and murmuring, "Thank you, David, for your… uhm… generous contribution..?"
Peeking around the alley and seeing the pair about to enter a neighboring street, Daniela understood that she had to attract their attention, somehow. Thinking of nothing better than to simply scream, she did just that and soon her loud screech resonated across the small city block.
"¡Necesitas ayuda! un hombre está herido!"
To her delight, the pair of lovebirds immediately responded to her cry for help. Not waiting to be discovered and linked to the young man's unenviable condition, Daniela dashed inside a narrow branching alleyway, barely avoiding their frantic gazes.
Before she took her leave from the scene, however, the redhead took a moment to inspect the new arrivals in a bid to divine their intentions. Mother always went on and on about how all humans were thieves and up to no good, so Daniela had to make sure that these two were going to help her savior - for, in a way - he did save her - and not rob him blind.
Thankfully, proving her dear Mother wrong, the two young people had nothing but worry in their eyes as they gazed down upon the unconscious body of the boy and before too long, one of them was calling some kind of human medical service, even as the second was glancing around - searching for whoever had done the bloody deed, or whoever had called for help - not realizing that it was the same person.
Satisfied, Daniela proceeded to briskly walk back towards her own dwelling, not forgetting to recover her hoodie on the way back. Unable to help herself, the girl started to humm a happy melody under her breath. That was the best possible outcome of this encounter, wasn't it? Daniela was well-fed and happy while David would wake up in a couple of hours and hopefully be able to just walk it all off with a couple of stitches for his troubles.
The combination of the filling feast of fresh human blood with the knowledge that she had avoided murdering an innocent boy had a drastic effect on the erratic redhead. More than merely invigorating her body and conferring an enviable clarity of mind, Daniela felt her very spirit galvanized by the blood-taking and its encouraging resolution.
After a couple of minutes of carefree humming, when her thoughts inevitably returned to that one special man that so often occupied them, the vigor of her frantic and very sudden resolution was surprising even to herself.
How can I give up on Ethan's affections so easily? So what if Mia is alive. Ethan wants to love me - this much I know. How else would he be able to channel that much affection through our first kiss… Even during our second kiss, he clearly wanted to love me.
Suddenly stopping in the middle of the unlit and deserted street, Daniela gazed up into the cloudy starless sky and proclaimed her intent for all to hear.
"I will help you love me, Ethan! Not with force or violence, but with kindness and affection shall I conquer your stone heart!"
I don't know if my sisters will ever come looking for me, but even if they still care enough, the weather won't let them leave the castle for at least a month. That gives me thirty days to prove to Ethan that I will love him more than Mia ever will. Thirty days to get everything my heart desires.
Resolute like never before, Daniela made her way back to her house with spring in her step. Her time to achieve her goal was limited but that only made her determined to do her best.
"You've shown me the true meaning of love, Ethan. Now it's my turn to do the same."
Author's Note:
A bit of a change of pace in this chapter as Ethan takes a break while Daniela assumes the PoV, but I wanted to portray her side of things. While she is not completely insane and delusional, she is quite a bit detached from humanity and it takes her a lot of effort to be able to actually empathize with someone outside of her immediate circle. That said, if she does establish a connection (that's mostly based on reflection of her own emotions), she will be quite possessive, passionate and VERY determined.
I admit, I had to brainstorm and google quite a bit about a more realistic approach to a Dimitrescu daughter feeding upon a human in this chapter, even pestered some people :D Tell me what you think! (I'd really love to know if my idea of her drinking from wrist veins is or not a total BS)
Next chapter we will get back to Dani causing mischief for Ethan, but I hope this one was an enjoyable detour, as well! Have a great weekend, everyone! :)
