Okay I thought of this earlier today while I was supposed to be taking a science test. I started while I was thinking of what a funny (funnyweird/strange) word 'yesteryear' was. Then I started rhyming things with it and here I am now. PS: I'm not much of a poet.
Yesteryears
"Don't look at me that way," I said to you
It was me not you
Who always starts the gossip
Or the blinding gaze that sears,
Fueled by concentrated hate
Of many yesteryears.
I walk now without you, bitter and alone
While you sit smirking on your twisted evil throne
I recollect your smell and the taste of all your tears
Tears you only shed
Due to your wasted yesteryears.
To think I loved you once
With my now black and empty soul
You ripped my heart from my chest with your awful lies
But you will never hear my mournful cries
A love I may have held, through all my dark fears
A love that only was in my faded yesteryears.
But, oh, the fun we had
When we were young and gay (AN: Stop laughing!)
I was happy once dancing in the sun's gold ray
We played and laughed, laughter I can no longer hears
Joviality that is stranded in my olden yesteryears
I kick up dry leaves and think of you
Of the good times and the bad we had, just us two
The laughter and the screaming, the smiles and the leers
The hate, the sweat, the blood, the tears
All mixed and locked up in my still hopeful yesteryears
-Sigh- So? How was it? I'm not totally sure whose relationship this is, Zuko and Azula or Zuko and Ozai. Let me know what you think, once again, I'm not much of a poet.
