So I've gotten some feedback with regards to possible omakes. While I'm going to focus on the main story for at least a bit, I feel like I should ask which one you guys want to see next so I can start planning it out in advance and fix some issues that might crop up before writing. Leave a review on which of the ones below you want to read about next, and possibly what you want to focus on. Zettai RWBY had less shenanigans than I would've liked.
1. Project M.A.I.D.E.N - Penny Polendina is the newly christened Winter Maiden and goes to Beacon at the behest of both General Ironwood and Headmaster Ozpin. Jaune is her partner and Aura battery since his Semblance allows him to fix her Aura levels, which tend to be unstable due to an artificial life form being granted a soul and magic. Of course, life would be a lot simpler if Penny wasn't seemingly determined to act as weird and non-human as possible, but Jaune can deal with it.
RoboKnight pairing, and one of the more romance focused Omakes besides the one where he ended up with the Worst Girl.
2. Team MILF Chronicles: Ruby and Yang - The two sisters deal with the knowledge that their moms might be introducing them to a new stepdad. Yang is desperate to stop it at all costs and tries to do whatever it takes to ensure it doesn't happen. Meanwhile, Ruby knows what her mom is like and has already accepted that this is inevitable. She's thus (reluctantly) making plans to bond with her best friend/new stepfather.
3. Zettai RWBY Teenagers - The world is safe from Salem's plans and now Jaune must deal with an even bigger threat: puberty. Teenagers are bad enough, but having to deal with teenagers with godlike powers? Not fun, especially when it includes Yang sneaking out to parties, Blake trying to become the face of Faunus revolution, and Ruby using her powers to be a superhero. Weiss is stable, though Cinder points out it's cause she has a crush on her big brother figure.
This one is a bit of a throwback to those first few chapters when team RWBY just tossed their powers around everywhere and Jaune had to deal with the fallout.
4. Team GRIMM - Team RWBY have been corrupted and turned to Grimm by Salem. They're used as replacements for her own daughters and become the generals in her army. Their Maiden powers come from her instead of Ozpin and Jaune is essentially kidnapped and attached to the team to keep them amused. Poor bastard.
This is definitely the weakest, but someone suggested it and I do find the idea of an evil Team RWBY somewhat interesting.
5. Queen of the Castle - Nora inherits all four Maiden powers and now team JNPR has to keep her from accidentally booping all of Vale. Which would be a lot easier if she wasn't Nora freaking Valkyrie and those weird Haven transfer students didn't seem determined to make her lose her temper.
Similar to the third omake, this is more of a throwback to those first few main story chapters, though in this scenario Jaune at least shares the pain with Ren and Pyrrha rather than suffering in solitude.
I've also got an idea for a new White Knight fic. It's pretty crude for now, but the general plotline is that Jaune is stuck in the streets of Vale and survives by being a barely competent thief. Of course he ends up biting more than he can chew when he accepts a job to steal from the Schnees, which ends up entangling him to Weiss and something far bigger than petty theft and trying to survive the day.
Like I said the plot is rough, but right now I have two focus points. The first is that Jaune has no Aura, nor does anyone unlock it for him, meaning that he has to be really good at bluffing and sneaking away if he wants to survive. The second is that I can focus on some of the more esoteric characters. Right now I'm thinking of Emerald being Jaune's partner/mentor and other criminal characters appearing like the Malachites, Junior, Roman, and Neo.
